I don't know how to tell my parents for once thing i've never been close to either of them, we get alone perfectly fine I've just never been close enough to really talk to them. i've never talked to them about things in my personal life, even as a kid, i'd have issues with bullies but never told them. hell it took me a few months to tell my mom when i started my period. part of it is neither of them are keen on the whole idea of online dating. Growing up my dad was strict about chatting with strangers online. So we finally had two dates. The first one she was super drunk before it started. I'm from New York and so is he but he lives in Maryland now. He came up to New York in June to see his parents and we ended up grabbing lunch on a Sunday. She's still acting distant, though, so instead of us talking automatically every day like we have been, I figured I'd give her some room. Just wondering whether my approach is correct. I won't cut her off completely. I'll speak to her when she does contact me and try to be a "breath of fresh air". I'll act positive and happy to hear from her (which is the truth, anyway) without being clingy or tempermental. If she doesn't contact, then I'll wait a day or two to send her a text to ask how she's doing? Sound good? Bear in mind, priority = save the friendship. I think it's being damaged by her fear of getting attached. |
| Posted: 06 Aug 2015 06:55 PM PDT For reference me and the girl I'm interested in are both sophomores in High School. Long story short she liked me and I liked her but I didn't know she liked me. I made her feel rejected by walking away during a conversation she started due to my own confusion. Then I only learned she had been interested in May when my mom and her aunt talked about us. I started talking to her again back in July around her birthday after I told her happy birthday. I wouldn't have done anything further but she texted the day after sending a picture of her schedule and asking if we have any classes together. We texted for a few days after and the enthusiasm that had been there when we'd first started talking seemed to be back. We really haven't talked much since mid-July though since there were summer reading projects and I had my wisdom teeth taken out. My interest had also kinda waned over the summer, but as soon as I saw her in person again it's like it all came flooding back to me. Now I'm interested in talking to her again but I don't know when to do it. See the class we share is in the middle of the day so neither of us can really afford to loiter around after class and neither of us are really seated near each other. There might be sometime after school I suppose. Any ideas of when to do it and what to say? Could she still be interested? |

So anyways he left that job but before he left, he made sure to come find me and get my Facebook :) So he messaged me and said we should go for drinks sometime.. we chatted for a few hours then I said I'm going to sleep. That was 2 days ago and he hasn't messaged me again. I'm not generally one to message people first but I don't want him to think I don't want to talk to him, yet I dont want to seem desperate. Do I just wait it out? :/ |
