Question: Why do I feel so bad? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 08:53 PM PDT My husband and I have been married for a year. Before we got married he had an uncle who verbally agreed to send him 3000 dollars every semester to pay for classes. He promised husband 50,000 as a gift if he finished his bachelors. Then when this uncle found out him and I were getting married and he cut my husband off from this verbal agreement. We both are young hubby and I. We are 23. For whatever reason he wasn't happy my husband and I got married. I have never met my husbands uncle. He knows nothing about me. I am a law school student who has been tutoring and mentoring his nephew to get through college that's how my now husband and I met. Yet I feel like my husbands uncle thinks negatively about me. Which I don't care because I know who I am. Yet I feel like our marriage made my husband and I lose out on a good opportunity. I feel like of we had never gotten married the agreement would still be intact. He was looking forward to getting that money and starting a business. Now he doesn't see the business happening for him. I cry about it sometimes. Yet there is nothing I can do his uncles mind is made up. I don't know why I feel so bad. |
Question: How to get my husband to cook for me? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 08:26 PM PDT I do all of the cooking all of the time. It would just be nice to feel pampered/waited on every once in a while. He's cooked for me once, on my birthday and since then I've asked him when he would do it again and he just says, "I will", but never actually does. It's kind of frustrating because I've told him that this is a way he can make me feel special and also help me out, but he just doesn't do it. I'm not asking for a gourmet meal by any means, just a little effort. I've stopped bringing it up because I feel like I'm just wasting my breath, also I don't want to be a nag cause I don't want him to just do it only because he thinks I'm mad (which would still be a step up from how it is now).... I guess I just want to him to be genuine about it. Any suggestions? |
Posted: 20 Aug 2015 08:25 PM PDT By no means was he ever physically abuse or ever aggressive...We dated for a bit, and due to me being a virgin and intimacy issues and not being ready, he once said to me in the last 3 months of our relationship: "Well, I've thought about how I can easily force you down and get my way with you.'' So odd because other than he being mad at me for not having sex, he was incredibly sweet and emotional. Idk, i told my counselor about this months later, and she asked me why I stayed with him after that. he also said more than once that he thought the only way to get me to have sex with him was to force him since I was so scared, like apparently his ex-girlfriend did... |

Posted: 20 Aug 2015 08:05 PM PDT My husband took a trip last month with his friends. I have always been very lax about him having to check in with me because I trust him and feel like it's unnecessary to breathe down his throat. However I received a message from one of his friends that went on the trip with him that he went to a strip show. My issue is that if he had told me, I would've been ok with it--again I feel that part of having trust is being open with one another. I suppose I feel pretty insulted that I had to find out through a friend of his. Am I wrong to be upset over this? I don't want to even think about bringing it up unless I am justified. :/ Thanks |

Question: Why won't ex cover up her tattoo of my name? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 07:28 PM PDT My ex wife left me and doesn't want anything to do with me. She told me she didn't love me and completely cut me out of her life. She have a big tattoo of my name over her heart. She makes good Money so she has the money to cover it but when I saw a picture of her and a mural friend on Facebook. The tattoo was very visible and not covered up. It has been 3 months. Why won't she just covered up if she doesn't want anything to do with me |
Question: Is this realistic ? Re-post, looking for more answers.? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 07:17 PM PDT Finding a husband who is kind and loyal, good looking. One who will let me go down on him every morning and have sex every night. Massage his back and body whenever I see fit and always end arguments with hot steamy sex and make up. How realistic am I being ? Should I lower the standards ? |

Question: Is my husband being a wimp? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 03:17 PM PDT Me and our friends are going skydiving this weekend, and I've been trying to get my husband to go. But he's being such a sissy. Question: Husband bought car without telling me...? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 03:02 PM PDT Husband just bought, I'm sorry, just LEASED a car while I was in the hospital, recovering from lung collapse surgery. We had discussed him wanting to buy a car when I was first admitted and he even asked my opinion on a few but we never talked about finally deciding on a car and/or when he'd get it. I thought we would research some cars, go check out some etc. When I got out and got well, but a day after I am released this woman pulls up in a 2012 BMW 5 something. Now as for our household, we have 6 kids, ages 8 to 18, and live in a 3 bdrm house (that I had before we got married), 3 vehicles (2012 Altima-financed, 2005 Expedition-rvcd payoff chk to get BMW, 2004 Pontiac - paid off) that we had prior to the BMW. My husband has been saying for yrs that we would get a bigger house to accommodate our blended family, but has been between jobs the majority of the 10 yrs we been together and has now been on a job for 4 months making good money. My issue is the vehicle as well as his priorities. Rather than buy a vehicle, he's leasing one. Rather than look for a bigger house, he opts for a car. I'm feeling disrespected and unappreciated bc for the majority of the years I have been the bread winner (and sometimes the only one working)but never made big purchase decisions without consulting him first. |

Question: Is this not annoying behavior? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 02:32 PM PDT I'm a 46 year old male and my wife is 44. We've been together going on 13 years and there's one thing, above many, that she does that annoys the crap out of me. She's currently home between jobs and is about to start a new one soon. When I get home from work she wants to sit right up under me, rub, and cuddle and I just want to sit down and relax from the dat. All the rubbing and touching is annoying to me. We're not talking about her just placing her head on my shoulder, she wants to cuddle and stroke and rub my head. Again, been together 13 years I would think that by now she'd be use to me being out of the house. Would this annoy anyone else the minute you walked in the door? Granted at night when the lights go out she stays on her side of the bed wrapped up like a mummy. When I ask her to stop I get the "oh, you don't want me to touch you" attitude. Am I wrong for not wanting to be molested every day I come home from work? |
Question: I need to know if what he did was in the category of "cheating"? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 02:25 PM PDT My live-in fiancé of 2 years was talking to another woman for about a year. My fiancé was hiding this from me by deleting his text messages on his phone. He never went to meet this woman; however, they would talk a lot and often (sometimes up to 50+ texts in a day). He never even texted me this much hardly ever. When I discovered what he was doing, he denied it at first....but then I showed him my evidence. I found out because we share a mutual cell phone account (it was a MUTUAL account....so I had every legal right to discover this information), and I was seeing a lot of numbers on his line that I did not recognize so I did a search and discovered that it was a woman. He lashed out at me calling me a crazy psycho B**** when I found out. He is now denying that this is a type of cheating behavior. I don't believe he met with her...but the fact that he was hiding it from me told me that he KNEW it was wrong. I don't think he met with her face to face (but I'm not sure). So, I understand that there was no sex HOWEVER when you have to hide what you are doing, then you know you did something wrong. He refuses to acknowledge that his was wrong and it was a type of cheating. |

Question: Ashly Madison debate? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 02:12 PM PDT me and my friend are separated on this issue. I never used the sight but apparently somebody in her family did. she claims its not ok to release the information of the sloots on ashly Madison because its private information and peoples lives. "what about the spouses the victims of the cheaters?" to wich I reply "i agree. the spouses who are cheated on deserve to know they are at risk for lethal sexually transmitted diseases. they should be fully aware of there spouses sexual activity so they can take the necessary medical precautions. Nobody should die from aids because there spouse is a sloot.being married means you protect the one you love even from disease .if you cant keep your sexual desires under control and stay loyal to one person as you promised till you die then you shouldn't be married. I find such behavior to be akin to murder due to the consequences that come from it even when the spouse never finds out." what do you think?is cheating harmless fun if nobody finds out or is it a risk of death for your spouse depending on what who you sleep with.? I think its a far more serious issue than people put it off as. everybody treats sex like a joke now but I genuinely think its too dangerous for your spouse to cheat on them. |

Question: Three years of marriage and cant finding myself moving on.? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 12:33 PM PDT I have been married for almost three years and we have two beautiful healthy boys. Though I still find couple of things that bother me. First of all, when we got engaged he asked me for prenup. I wasn't very happy with it, because it showed to me that he didn't trust me the way I trusted him. anyways I signed it because his family wanted to protect themselves. The second thing is that he paid an escort service girl who came to his house and had sex with him before we met each other. He told me about her the day after our wedding in the airplane going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Is been three years and it still bothers me. What can I do or say. Please any advise is appreciated. |

Question: Why are so many men okay with being 'whipped' or on a leash by their wives or girlfriends? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 11:59 AM PDT I've met lots of couples, at my job, in my own family etc., and I noticed there are a lot of men who are whipped. By whipped I don't mean they are "romantic" or attend to their partners, what I mean is they are on a leash. They ask their wives for permissions, their wives tell them what to do. A few scenarios: Some couple came into my work and I told her where she can pick up a file and facing me she says to her husband: "I'll send him there to go get it" and he just looked at me annoyed as hell. One male friend said his new girlfriend won't let him eat meat anymore because SHE'S a vegetarian. I have female friends who don't let their boyfriends go out with their friends, check their phones, etc., and male friends who have to lie about meeting up with friends. I have seen guys who are flat out mommied. The irony is, these type of women won't ever follow the same requests if said vice versa. Why do men put up with it? Doesn't it affect your ego at all? Are there men who actually like having a mother as a wife? P.S. I am a woman lol |

Question: Should I just resign to looking for love and marriage? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 11:10 AM PDT I've always been told I'm a good person, giving, loving, caring, respectful, genuine. Yet, I've been on so many dating sites, done activities out of my comfort zone, etc. I've been working FT since 16, have 3 college degrees (working on my 4th), family oriented, fun, a good listener. However, I am very plain & average looking, I have a big stomach and butt. I am not morbidly obese but, plus size. I am 41 and never married, no children & I don't sleep around. Is something wrong with me? Should I give-up on even trying for a good husband anymore? |

Question: Why would a man not want a child with his wife? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 10:49 AM PDT This is a dedicated professional who makes time to be with the wife he loves. He just doesn't want kids. He's willing to do it but only under pressure from his wife. His wife came to me asking whether it's right to force him into this since she has the power to do it, but she's afraid it will make him unhappy or even stop loving her. He has a child with someone who was a money bloodsucker, but he always paid his child support. He wasn't stingy. Did that turn him off to a traditional family? |

Question: Should I confront my fiance about his relationship with his son s mother? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 10:17 AM PDT They were together for 6 years high school sweethearts ect. They had a child together and before his first birthday she cheated on him and split. She s now married to the guy she cheated with , with 2 more children. His family is still holds her to a very high regard, I feel like I m living in her shadow and my daughter in his sons. They have books and books of pictures from when their son was born. No one even bothered to take one of me and my daughter when she was born. : ( I know and fully understand they need to talk because they have a child together no issue there. My issue is he hangs on to all the pictures of them. Brings her up in conversation all the time . he compared me to her my entire pregnancy. What do I do? I ve brought it up before. He immediately dismissed me and basically called me stupid. |

Question: If you married your dream woman, would you still check out other women/view porn? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 08:33 AM PDT "dream" What I mean is that if you married a woman who had the looks and personality that suited your taste to a very high degree, would you still look at other women/pornography and/or would you be honest about it if your wife asked? I wonder how a woman (or man) would feel if they had been pronounced their spouse's dream in every way, but, secretly, the spouse was looking at magazines with nudity, watching pornography and checking out/eyeing other women/men (not just casual observation). |
Question: Why did people in the 1940s-1960s marry so early? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 08:17 AM PDT Seems like most people I know who married during this time frame married early in life. Most of the women I know married when they were teenagers. My grandma said she and all of her friends married at 15, 16, 17 and 18 years of age. Their husbands were usually in their early 20s. The country singer Loretta Lynn married at 15 and had four children before 20. |
Posted: 20 Aug 2015 07:45 AM PDT I work at a health care center and I spoke anonymously to the mental health department today and they said that unfortunately there's nothing I can do. I just have to determine if my quality of life is well enough with it in my life to stay (which is the case) or if my quality of life is not well enough to stay (which is not the case). But I love her and I want her to get beyond this; I can't imagine what she goes through on a day to day basis with her inner demons. I just know that whatever it is, it is holding her (and me) back from living the life we want to live - a peaceful and serene one. They suggested positive reinforcement rather than negative, but that doesn't work because she scrutinizes compliments and tries to see "between the lines". They suggested encouraging them to see a therapist to adopt as a surrogate parent or role model, but she won't since she MUST be in control of herself and refuses to take anyone's advice (not even mine). They suggested figuring out what motivates them, but everything that motivates her is short lived and essentially low bearing fruit and they reward themselves often (borderline addiction). They asked about ADHD and/or head trauma and I had to confess yes because they had a concussion. Then they finally said "Can you walk away"... I had to stop there and go back to my IT work. So what would you do in a marriage like this? One where they were too high funcitoning to warrant intervention but too low functioning to have intimacy with? |

Question: Why won't my wife sleep in the same bed as me? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 06:50 AM PDT I'm 33 and my wife is 31. We've been married for 3 years and we have a daughter who's 5. For the past couple of weeks, she has been refusing to sleep in the same bed as me. She said it's because I snore too loud. So I decided to put a camera in my room for a few nights and film me sleeping. Each time I woke up, I played back the footage and I didn't snore at all. I've never even snored in my life. She's been sleeping on the sofa in the living room. I don't understand why she won't sleep with me. What could be the reason behind this? |

Why can't women do the same after marriage? Why life become so boring after marriage and having kids? I think that's a big reason behind couples getting divorced and cheating. Thanks guys. Oh I've seen such marriages where guys have to work 8-10 hours at job and then at home they are taking care of children and some even cook for the family too xD cause few women are busy enough on facebook. Oh yeah same goes for guys too they get fat lol but what I think is if women / wives motivate their husbands they won't get fat. Stacy I never said I hate women or blaming them for anything. I am just sharing an experience and asking about opinions. Don't be a butt hurt! I already said it goes for both. Men also get Lazy and fat! Joyx5 that's true men do change too but whats the reason behind it that's what I am asking about lol. Ron I dont need your hate comments stop being a dumbass. After seeing your comment I came to know the reason why some animals eat their own kids. LMFAO xD |
Question: How important is it for your spouse to be "in shape"? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 06:08 AM PDT Basically, would you care or love your spouse any less if they were to gain a substantial amount of weight? why? |
Question: Why is sabotaging our marriage after 29yrs together? Posted: 20 Aug 2015 05:36 AM PDT I am a 53yr old woman, I grew up with both my parents present. I am a twin. I have a grown daughter of the union, a grohe has told me wn step-daughter, a grown son both not of this union.I have 4 grandchildren and one grandson on the way. I love my family. I love my husband, I don't like what he's putting me through though. I love and fear God and was baptized at an early age. My husband told he didnt grow up with his parents, has never been baptized, I don't think he has a relationship with God, nor has he ever belonged to any churches. He worked in same profession for over 28yrs. He is just 1yr older than me, but can be hugely playful and immature at times He wants to retire, and leave the state to go back to his childhood home in another stste. He has betrsyed me many times, lied, used drugs and cheaduring our relationship and during our marriage. I still love him but thought he loved me as well. Recently, and on numerous occasions, he has told me he doesnt love me anymore though he cares. I feel he isn't being truthful only except when its convenient. I feel he's being selfish, he has had a plan to work, save and leave all along, and has tried to minimize my contribution to our life together, so he can (now at our older age)divorce me and not have to provide for our family and future together any longer. |
Posted: 20 Aug 2015 05:21 AM PDT I seriously can't tell the difference. If we haven't set up a life goal, and if we don't have a structure we follow, and if we don't have any objective in life other than "survive another day", then how do I know when she is contributing anything of worth? I keep trying to create a goal, structure, purpose, meaning, objective, etc. but she doesn't seem to want anything to do with it. She likes the flexibility to do whatever she wants without being burdened with a long term goal. She likes the ability to quit things when they get hard or they are boring... So creating any future with her is next to nil... So without something to go towards, wouldn't that make ALL her thoughts emotional based around that concept of "surviving"??? I don't know, most of my wife's thoughts are pretty emotional or based on her fears of what "could go wrong" which is in line with her pessimistic belief that the world is out to get her... I need help with examples on what are thoughts I should entertain and which ones I should just treat like venting and ignore? |
