Posted: 25 Aug 2015 04:49 PM PDT I've been depressed for about 2 years now in fall of 2013. it started when my first love left me for a bunch of girls but always came back , etc.. Then 6 months later my aunt died (2014) that I was very close to. Just a month later my 2 best friends of 3 years dated my first love and so I cut them both off and they still try to talk today. Two months later I had New best friends that were totally awesome and were never fake. Then a while after I got told by my dad I wasn't allowed to hangout with any of them because they were really bad influences. At the time I only knew my best friends for about 4 or 5 months but I loved them to death and I was heart broken about the hole situation. So I was left with no friends and it was the beginning of school (August). So as the year went on it just got worse..imagine that..And my first love came back after a long time and wanted to be in the picture . And about after a month or 2 we were over again because he was with a new girl. Then November my grandpa died. I ended up missing a lot of school for his funeral because the funeral was far and on thanksgiving I got really sick and got in trouble for that. Then March of this year I started dating one of my old friends and I'm still dating him. At first it was pretty amazing but he then cheated on me but I forgave him and I think he's still cheating. Then may my cousin was murdered by his friend which set me even sadder. I know other people have it worse though . Sorry if I got annoying. |

I hadn't seen her all summer and we were kinda drifting during the end of the previous school year. Well, I had hopes that everything would go back to normal this year, but it didnt. Then I started getting sick, really anxious and crying a lot. I then realized it has to be because I'm grieving for our friendship. I had talks about this with my mother, sisters and grandmother and they told me I was grieving and I should let her go because she obviously did, but it's hard. I see her everyday at school and she's still in my friend group, so yeah. I had started to feel better but I've been having this feeling of sadness always there. I do talk to new people, old friends, and try to keep busy but it doesn't help much. Sometimes I'm happy, but I feel like I can't get excited for things anymore. I feel like this will last forever. Right now I got this random overcoming feeling of sadness and I don't know what to do anymore. I want it to go away. I want to be my old self again. I'm a 16 year old girl by the way. All I do is watch Netflix and go to work. I don't feel driven to do anything, and now I'm close to losing my job cause of it and I don't care. Which is the scary part because I have a brand new car that is lose if I get fired but I don't care. I get anxiety which comes and goes and I do get angry for no reason but nothing ever provoked me to be angry, if recently started drinking a lot and started doing drugs for the first time to try to feel something but I can't. This happened to me last year and I lost most of my friends. My friends now are starting to get mad at me because I'm ignoring them, but I'm not really ignoring. We are looking at employment options now. My mother knows that I have graduated and is opening a savings bond for me in her name at the bank since I am not 18 and cannot open a bank account. The reason my friend and I even learned and completed an online degree is because we have been planning to run away for YEARS. We want to make money before we go so we both joined Cybrary and learned there for about 15 months. So, if I give my friend in Michigan access to the account (I KNOW she is trustworthy, stop doubting her and answer the freaking question) will my mother be notified? If not, will she be able to see that a flow of money is being put in the account from Michigan? Will my friend even be able to use my account from Michigan? How do I make this work? Please don't make your answer all about "Don't run away it's not worth it". We have a place to stay, pocket money, and a legal driver to get us there. You don't know my situation at home okay? Admittedly it's more for us than for her; a time to invite over friends and family while celebrating her, but in our area that's considered fine. Here's my problem: I'd like to try and keep it pretty small, but most of our friends have 3-5 kids each, and of course they'd all be invited. If we invite just three friends plus our family, we're already hitting almost 30 people. I know the easy answer is to not invite friends, but I would like to include some friends as we don't see them often and our kids like playing with their kids. But, even if we limit it, I'm afraid that some of our other friends (who also have 3-5 kids each) would find out we're having a party and feel excluded. But, if we invite everyone, then we're looking at a 60+ person party and that's just way too many people to fit in our home. So what do you do when most of your friends have a bunch of kids, you're limited on space, you'd like to invite some but not everyone, but none of the kids are really old enough to not come? (Which I imagine will happen more when they reach school-age.) Any advice? How do you keep it manageable? |

| Question: How can I fix my life? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 01:14 PM PDT Hi, My name is Cameron. I'm asking this question today, due to a recent change of events. I am currently a freshman in high school, with not a lot of friends. I want to fix that, but I don't know how. Let me explain how I dug myself in this whole, first. I used to be a active, and energetic guy, always wanting to do things. That was, until, I started playing online games. These games, took over my life, slowly. It started in fifth grade, just for fun. During that summer, I played even more, but not too much. During the sixth grade, is when it took its toll. I started to stop hanging out with friends, and ignoring them outside of school. With this being said, my parents started getting angrier towards me too. I ignored it, and kept on growing the addiction, through that summer, seventh grade, and even eighth grade. Over the past summer, it had come to me to realize that I had screwed myself over. So, I am writing this today, for help on how to regain that person I once was, because the way I am today, isn't going to get me anywhere in life. ~Cam |
| Question: Who is wrong in this situation? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 01:04 PM PDT I don't have a car so I have to rely on public transportation to get everywhere. One of my friends does have a car but refuses to pick me up on his schedule when he wants to go out. I assume because he wants to hang out at a certain time he should pick me up because he's not doing anything in the time I spend taking the bus and if I'm late it's not really my fault because I already told them I wouldn't make it in time unless he had picked me up. I find that the best solution is to just not hang out with him because I live too far and it takes too much effort on my part just to hang out when it was his idea to begin with. I don't want to be a dick because we've known each other for a while but I just feel like it's not worth it to go through all this trouble especially since I never really ask him to hang out it's always him that wants to when he has nothing to do. |

Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:55 PM PDT i got Tuberculosis MDR, and im getting each time lonier because of my own choice. i dont want them to see me sooo thin and being unable to walk a distance without feeling the need to stop and breath a little. i really need them but i dont want them to feel pity to me. now that I see my description, i now im stupid. they are worried for me. my god, this is sh1t they'll say but some of them really aprecciate me. the problem is that NOONE of them will want to hang out with me because of the fear of getting contagious. my god, inyections are so painfull and this 16 pills daily are not different. anyway,thank god internet exists. |

Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:45 PM PDT We fell out because of a misunderstanding I shouted at her because couple of people told me she was talking trash about me and it turned out people who didn't like me and wanted to ruin our friendship paid those people and I believed them back then I was having a really rough life I failed to get into a sports championship trip and one of my good friends was feeling suicidal so I asked my best friend for space and it was so wrong to do that.. I was on my own but her ex bff reached out to me and then I wanted to make them be friends again but I made it worse. Anyway my haters paid people to spread lies about her talking bad about me and I believed it because she was becoming a different person and wasn't a warm person anymore other stuff matched too.. my school stuff was stolen and someone vandalized the school in my name. But anyway a good time passed and she asked to be my friend on FB so I accepted then she blocked me and I confronted her and she played dumb.. I'm not sure perhaps she was jealous I made other best friends outside of school. Anyway I'm pretty obvious that my haters made her choose between me or them. She also gave me signs like she would always end up in the same places like me and she always looks at me but I always ignore her presence and her looks There's more signs too but do you think this dumb misunderstanding will be fixed? it was my fault too for saying I'd spill her secrets but I'd never have done that because I never do that to my bestfriend Anyway I found friends and I'm kind of popular and well known in the school but I just don't like these misunderstandings she also seems to be almost crying every time she see's me and her ex best friend. She also tried hurting me but my friends got back at her by making her suffer but I just don't want to be on bad terms with anyone really because not only does it make it a bad day for me it makes things worse for them which leads to other people hating her. |

Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:36 PM PDT Hi, So I met a 38-45yrs old woman at work from my country and we got along well so I used to give her ride to work and back cuz her place was on the way to work. this went on for about 2-3 months and e always wanted to be close friends so she would call a lot but i would sort of ignore because I didnt want to be close friends with her as she is about a decade older and has three high school kids(it makes me feel awkward. Now we don't work for the same person since about 2 months and she still calls once a week or so and mostly I don't pick up and call her back when its convenient for me. if I don't return her call the same day she calls 2 or 3 times again the same day which annoys me so much. Lately she has been complaining that how come I never call her and that she gets worried. What do I do? I want to end this politely without confronting but it seems like she is not getting the message. I would really appreciate any tips and suggestions. Thank you |

I'm also not like other kids at my school labels are huge in my school and I'm labeled "emo/awkward" which doesn't make sense to me they think I'm emo because i wear dark clothing but that's just what i like to wear and i listen to "bad" music according to the other kids i listen to all time low, pierce the veil, bring me the horizon 5sos, rolling stones, nirvana, sleeping with sirens, etc. and they think that is "bad,emo" music, it gets me really annoyed im also really shy so I don't talk much which apparently makes me "awkward" and I just can't seem to make friends I have friends but their either in a different school or their my internet friends... Sorry if this was long I just had to get it off my chest if you have any suggestions please help mw it would mean a lot because no one is like me in my school and I really wanna make friends |

We saw each other maybe once a month and while we got along well, we weren't what I would call close. At this point we have not seen each other in 15 years . I posted photos on my FB of Husbands and my vacation. she messaged me and said,"the next time you plan a trip, let me know and we (she and her husband) can come too" REALLY!!?? I was thinking of not saying anything or just tell her we don't like to travel with other couples, no offence. Ideas?/ |

I really didn't think that we were that close friends, but she has really been venting to me and I'm happy to listen. So she just invited me to her grandmother's viewing and I said that I will definitely be there to support her. The problem is, I've never been to a viewing before, we don't do that in my family, and I've never lost someone really important to me. Also, I don't really know her family. I don't want to be offensive or anything. What should I bring, wear, and say? I'm really nervous. Oh and BTW, she's Roman Catholic. She doesn't live in my country (but she lived here for some years). Then there is another friend of mine...let's call her Mary. She lives in my same country and she knows Ann as well. They both are on FB and they both use it on a daily-basis so they are still in contact. Mary has known that I have Ann's phone number and she has asked me to give her Ann's number. But I haven't given it to her yet because I think it's privat and I don't want to give a freind's number away... Then I think that if Ann did want to give Mary her phone number, she would have already given it to her. So why doesn't Mary ask Ann? then she is on FB everyday and they both skype... A single girlfriend of mine moved to a new city and has asked me to come visit for her birthday weekend. My husband's response was "I'm not comfortable with you traveling without me there" but I feel like it's more than just that? When I've told him I will be perfectly safe he just replies that he is still uncomfortable and can't she come here? He knows this woman, it's not an issue with her. But he just keeps stressing his discomfort with me traveling while he stays behind. Any words of wisdom to get to the bottom of this without sparking an argument? |

She said no because "too much could happen" which is pretty stupid because we've sat in the football field alone (as in no adults around) from 8pm to 3 am multiple times and she doesn't care. She's stayed at my house from 6pm to 1 am once and my mom still didn't care. So I don't see why we can't have a sleep over. All we do when she's at my house is sit down and watch movies. My mom said when we're older, we might be able to so I told her the older we are the more likely stuff will happen. Do you think she should be able to sleep over? |

Posted: 25 Aug 2015 11:25 AM PDT I'm a 26 year old woman and I only have one friend, my neighbor who is a 45 year old woman. I'm really friendly and kind to everyone I meet, even if they are rude. I am fairly intelligent and interesting. I can be pretty funny. I have a wide variety of interests and talents. I am compassionate, nonjudgmental, and caring. But...people don't like me. They act annoyed by my presence. They give me a cold shoulder. Other women treat me like garbage, and say things like "oh my god you have an AMAZING body I sooo hate you..." etc. Ok, so I am considered above average in the looks dept, but I don't buy the whole other women are just jealous thing. Plenty of attractive people have lots of friends. As for my bad qualities, I can be a tad blunt but not malicious, I simply cannot fake anything. I have a hard time relating to females I suppose because I was raised in an all male household and was always a tomboy. But being aware of this, I am conscious about kinda letting them lead the conversation if that makes sense. I also have "out there" opinions and beliefs but I don't think that's it because I generally keep those to myself. I get along well with older people, I don't feel like my generation likes me. I don't have Facebook and I don't go out "clubbing" or anything like that. I'm getting lonely, and I can't say I'm not trying. I feel like giving up. I just can't seem to find what's so wrong with me? |
