I'm actually a really positive person but I feel like my mom is constantly miserable and she drinks non stop. So last night she went out and she came back today drunk and of course that really annoys me. When I woke up this morning I come and ask her about what happened last night and she just yells at me and tells me I have no respect and sends me to my room. So I'm in their for like a hour until I eventually come out again to fill up my water bottle and as I'm doing that I tell her she really needs to stop drinking and as I say that she starts to turn on music and put it to the max volume I start to talk louder but she keeps yelling WHAT? With a really Annoying grin on her face and then tells me to go back to my room. So a couple hours later I come out and she seemed like she sobered up so I tell her she needs to stop drinking and that again I have no respect and she also said she was the boss and she can do whatever she wants and then she took my phone away. I would really like answers on who is in the wrong and how our relationship could get better |

I have 2 children from a previous relationship and we have a 1 year old son together. His parents treated my older 2 kids like their own until our son was born. I have had to hide all of the pictures of my kids on Facebook because my FIL will share every photo of his bio g-child and none of the older 2. I was told by my BIL that my in-laws have some sort of shrine if you will for my youngest son. They have multiple pictures on a table with toys and blankets around them. Very creepy. But there are no pictures of my older 2. The pictures they have were taken from my Facebook and printed off before I hid them. They had access to pictures of the older 2. A few weeks ago they were at my house. My older son sat down between them. My FIL jumped up almost immediately without acknowledging my son and got down on the floor with the baby. My children's bio father and his family abandoned my kids. My husband was willing to take on the role of a full time father but I feel he is not protecting them. He has had a conversation with them about the favoritism (I was not present) and then I find out about the shrine. I went to him crying yesterday when I found out and he hasn't talked to me since. He went so far as to take up for his mother saying that he offered to give her some pictures. Yeah. You offered. She didn't ask. And she could have just gotten them from Facebook like the other pictures. Idk what to do. |

I was barefoot as I had worn sandals, and everyone else wore socks. The realtor kept asking me "Oksana, how does that floor feel?" and "Oksana, how does that carpet feel?" Later, I asked the realtor why she kept asking me that. She said that because I was the only one with bare feet (no socks), I could feel the floors/carpets better and that opinion was important because of that. Does anyone find this odd? |

They Skype every day and she is going to kick Joseph out in a month and have this guy she has never met in person move in! It has devastated me and my sibling. I tried to convince her to at least wait until her children are 18 and moved out before getting with this guy. My mom already said she doesn't care if I never speak to her again after I turn 18. She's told this guy everything about our family. He could be a psycho for all she knows. She's sent him nudes. Btw I know all of this because I overheard her talking to my aunt (call me nosey, idc.) It is a lot to explain. Me and her are both close friends to the same person so I went to a wedding with her (gave her a ride). And I never realized how horrible she was. I literally do not think she went a minute without criticizing me. Every small thing I did she harped on. She would get mad at me for breathing basically. For example, I walked in to meet her a little after she went in and when I got to where she was sitting, she gave me the meanest face for doing nothing at all. She looked randomly pissed. And she is not street smart at all. She freaks out over the smallest things. She is totally irrational. She acts like a little girl sometimes, too. She'll start screaming and getting all wet over the dumbest things ever. Are lot of females this way? She is the only one I know of. She's going back home soon to Texas so I won't see her for a while (thankfully), but I was just wondering if anyone knows what causes this? Is it in people's DNA to just be bit*chy? |

My best friend got her license yesterday, and when I told my mom about it, she started telling me about the stresses of driving, the works; blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I asked her when I would be able to start driving (because she said that she thinks around 18 or 19 is a good age to start and since I'm so young, I'll be graduating at 17 and will need to drive sooner because of college). She flat out told me that she's not going to let me drive while I'm in college at all! It's not like I can go behind her back and get a car anyway. I won't have money for that. What do I do? She's yelling right now: "I could punch you in the mouth." She's been doing this for a really long time. Ive seen her slap my sister and hit her. When my sister's in the bath she tells her to make the water hot, to burn. My Mother is insane and I'm tempted to record her to have evidence because she easily presents herself as a nice person to anyone not living in my house. Now for me she has called me a ***** and other names but I'm 16 and I know how teens and parents don't have the best relationship.. however she has looked into putting me in a foster home. As for my sister, she really wants to get rid of her but she has told me that the state doesn't want her and can't take her. If I do turn my mother in who do I tell? I didn t want to go so I was laying in my room and I heard my mom screaming at the kids to fold the clothes in the living room. It got silent and then I heard My brother crying. When I came out of my room my brother had tears running down his face and my mom was doing her hair. I asked him what happened and he said, and I quote, "mom put her hands around my neck and choked me" now we re talking about my ten year old brother here so I was concerned. I came up to her to talk and she started yelling at me and telling me to get out of her face and she was freaking out. I ve been getting my 2 year old daughter every weekend for the past year and on some days off, I also wire transfer my daughters mom $200 every month. I rarely request a weekend off and when I do she gives me a million and one excuses or is just being difficult on why I should get her. Her point is I barely see my daughter so I should always get her on the weekend no matter what because she always has her but for one she s not watching her during the week my daughters grandmother watches her all week, I even offered to have my daughter during the week and she gets my daughter on the weekend but she shut that down real quick. I recently enrolled in community college and I m forced to take a part time so my income will be changing & I ll barely have time for anything, all I want to do is better myself and my daughter. I just need a couple of weekends to myself every once in while, am I in the wrong? If not what steps can I do to have things sway my way? |

And pulled a knife to my mom. He doesn't put his hands on me as much but he still hits me. He tells me he wouldn't be surprised if when I get older I would be dead in a ditch. Or a street walker. He says if he doesn't kill me he would either help kill me or help bury me. I've talked to my parents many times but they don't care. He cusses all the time and is very violent. Please, no 'omg ur jsut a bratty teenager' comments, because I understand that. Anyway, when I require assistance I happily listen to my mom's advice, but she's trying to be the boss, like she says 'in 15 minutes I want your room clean', but I'm that type of person that does NOT like to be bossed around, and I end up waiting 15 minutes to pass and THEN cleaning my room just because I'm stubborn af. If she'd ask me nicely to clean my room I'd do it right away, and end with a 'please', the way I ask her. I never tell her 'in 15 minutes I want the laundry to be done' Since she's begun with the pathetic 'you're a teenager and you're giving me the attitude' because of HER bossy attitude. I tried to just give in but she seems so pleased with herself that she gets me to obey, I just think that she's pathetically trying to get power and respect by doing this, but she's losing it. All he ever did was just beat and yell at me when I was a child and he use to hit my mom. My entire childhood my family has been trying to teach him how to be a good dad because he doesn't know any better. He disrespects my mom and her family and is always trying to start problems between my mom and her families and he is also trying to brainwash me into thinking that my moms family is bad. My dad also knew he was a bad father but he thinks that I'm stupid and he tries to deny and lie to me in my face that he never use to hit me. I'm 18 and he literally talks to me like I'm 2 years old. It's beyond insulting and I know damn well what's going on. I hate him and we tried calling the cops on him a few times and he promised to change but he just keeps lying and I hate him for all he's done to my family and I hate my existence. Every day I think to myself what could've been if my mom had married a man with a future and career. He makes everyone in my household miserable because he's miserable himself. How can I bring justice to my family if no one will help us so that I can get away from him. I'm going to college soon but I don't trust him around my mom. One of my three nieces procrastinated in getting the will probated. Now my sister has Alzheimer. In addition, my sister had a family meeting with all her children in attendance ( five adult children) and verbally stated the contents of her will. Now it appears that one of her sons, two of her daughters, and one granddaughter from a son's previous marriage want to contest the my sister's unsigned will when she passes. The will was never signed. |

My mom seems to think I m just some lazy good-for-nothing teenager who is just going to cause problems, but I study hard, get good grades, and I myself am thoroughly satisfied with how my life is going and my own accomplishments. My parents seem to think the contrary, and that really brings me down. My dad will launch into a huge lecture on having friends, getting a job, and even starting a family just because I neglected to say hi to some people we walked past on the street. He seems to think I have no friends, and only enjoy playing video games. I know they re only trying to do what s best for me, but when I try to tell them that it s really not helping me to constantly nag me about my problems, they get mad that I think they re nagging me. The moment we broke up I decided to go back here in the US alone. My problem is There is no way that I could get my Social security card, I have my Us birthcertificate and my Us passport but I really don't know why the social security office asked to much documents. They want a proof that I grew up in the philippines I couldn't find any because yea my mother is very useless I have so many dreams and goals my mother wont always help me so I have to do this by myself Neither my father and sisters won't help me I'm very hopeless because of them but it won't stop me. My mother wants to spend time with them and I have basicly cut my parents totally out of my life. I told her she can never see or spend time with her daughters. She will never see them in her life. That may sound cold but, she was cruel to me as a child. I was gay and because of that, she was really cruel and never accepted me. There were lots of attempts to change me including lots of shame and telling me how bad I was, telling me she couldnt love me. It even got physical at times. Posted: 23 Aug 2015 09:38 AM PDT For instance she went school supply shopping without telling me, and got the wrong things (the supper cheap stuff that breaks and is destroyed in a month) and I had to tell her that it wouldn't last. And she just got so mad at me and started yelling she slammed down the notebooks on the table stormed out slammed them on the couch and hit the floor. She will get lost driving because she refused to listen to the GPS and she will just get so mad and start arguing with me saying how its my fault etc... These are just two instances. She just gets so mad at me, and starts yelling. There was one time when I got a upset at her for throwing out my math notebook, and she plugged her ears and went outside. Why does she act like this. So the other day I drove my dad to work because my car was in the shop and I was gonna do my school shopping he put 300$ in my account but I went to the store instead and did a full shop because I was tired of not having food in the house and eatting a lot of takeout I use almost all the money he put in my account. Regardless if that was too much money I spent he does have that narcissistic everything is about me personality you owe me an arm and a leg because I support you typ of attitude he's always been like that he acts like I should be his maid and even when I was going to school he still expected me to be the maid of the house. P.s My dad is not poor he makes a good living he just doesn't like giving me money but doesn't want me to get a job only focus on school. |

So my little brothers, who were taken from her by the system BUT stupidly enough they gave them back, called me crying saying that our mother was hitting on them. So I called her and her excuse for this was "Oh your brother wanted to leave with his dad to go to a birthday party." As if it was right? I told them to call the cops if she did it again, which h she did. Their father came and picked them up and took them, she called me mad saying that I hated her. He rushes me to eat so he can do the table and dishes and homework, and constantly makes me help him make dinner or lunch or breakfast. One time he took my phone because he wanted me to make dinner when he was sick, and I couldn't even tell my parents. Another time I was video chatting with my boyfriend at 12 am and he needed to start his homework and unplugged my laptop and locked it in his room for quiet. He's 13 and I would've expected someone to be more mature than that -_- He constantly moves my stuff in the living room to mop and dust and he never puts them back where it belongs. Who can I talk to in order to make him calm down and stop being such an annoying moron? |

| Question: How to convince my brother to drive me to school? Posted: 23 Aug 2015 09:02 AM PDT So It is like a 8 minute drive I think, but takes me 25-30 minutes to walk to school. Where I live It's really hot. When I walk I am sweating by the time I get to school. My mom cant drive me because she has work really early. But my older brother recently got a car and my question is how do I convince him to drive me to school?? He won't. My Mom wants him to drive me to because there's lots of busy roads when I walk. He's being so rude about it and won't do it. He's in high school and I'm in middle school, but they're really close to eachother. He acts they are like 10 minutes away from eachother when In reality its like 2 mins. Lol. Basically how do I convince him to drive me??? |

With that in mind my dad never grocery shops, he's always at his girlfriends until recently when we had a talk about him being part of the family and for him to stop treating me like a roommate. So Friday I drove my dad to work because my cars was in the shop and I needed to go clothes shopping. So my dad put some money in my account 300$ for cloths and school and gas later when car gets out of the shop and to go to the store and get a little food well I went to the store and decided that since I was there I might as well do a full out shop because he won't go to the store until I say something and when he does he only gets like 50$ worth of food at a time and we were out of everything and I got tired of there not being food in the house I'm trying to lose weight and get heathy but he seens to not care. He never goes shopping we eat out all the time and I thought in the long run I would save him money because I would spend 100$ a week on take out and I'm tired of everything to do with take out I want to get heathy. I did spend more than I wanted to but all the food I got we needed it's not like just bought random off the wall stuff I do know how to shop but he's pissed at me because he thinks I don't care that he works his *** off to support himself and me he acts like I owe him a arm in a leg because he supports me. Since I m the only girl in the house, and I wear makeup to school, she assumes it s me and openly tells me she doesn t trust me. I didn t steal it of course, but she knows I sometimes go through her drawer to get medicine when I m sick. Her makeup is still missing. I have no idea how it could have gone missing. Today I got sick of her always telling me sh*t that hurts me, and I punched her shoulder. Not even that hard, she probably only has a bruise. She went to the gym and just got back so it's nothing. My parents yell at me and ground me. But she does more damage to me mentally than I do to her physically. I really feel like she is ruining my life. She's 23, she lives at home, doesn't have a job, and gets allowance for not doing chores. I do all the chores and get zero allowance, I'm 15. I really hate my life. My mom was not a good mom, she wouldn t buy water to punish us and we never had food to eat. The fridge would always be empty, on top of that she would explode over tiny things. She would yell for 3+ hours about me leaving a t-shirt on the floor, misplacing my keys, taking a different route to the kitchen, blah blah blah. She would always pick on me about my body, she would say my thighs are too big or I m getting a little bit chubby (I was 14 and 80 pounds.) The only things she did for me was her responsibilities, cook dinner and put a roof over my head. Now that my child is coming, I do not want to be like my mother at all. How should I discipline my kids? When she would yell at me she would yell for 3+ hours and call me names. I don t want to do that to my kids, but its what I grew up with so I need a different strategy. What type of things should I actually get mad about? I want to be there emotionally and physically there for my kids. Please give me tips on how to stay close to my kids and have a best friend/parent relationship with them. Thanks x |

His father voluntarily relinquished his visitation rights and has not seen him in almost 10 years. My son is almost 11 doesn't remember him. He claims that he has recently been made aware of certain facts relating to the wellbeing of the child that make him now feel visitation is necessary, that my son has suffered mental health and depression issues, that my ability to care for my son without assistance has changed, and that there have been other changes in circumstance relating to the wellbeing of the child and me, and makes serval mentions as to why I am responsible for him not being a part of my son's life all these years. NONE of that is true, and I'm afraid if my son spends time with him he will be imposing these feelings and ideas about me on my son. My son has a great life and I have a great relationship with him. It seems like he has some agenda here and I'm scared he will have an awful impact on my son's life. He doesn't even say in the motion why he himself desires a relationship with my son. I have court in a few days and no attorney. Is there anything I can do? |

I live in the east coast of the country and I really want to go. I currently live with my parents but they are very strict when it comes to certain things. The only family I know is my parents and my paternal grandparents. I used to have a good relationship with my mom, but when I was 8 she started dating a guy and he hated kids and he would treat my like crap and then my mom did too. Then I moved in with my dad in his apartment that's under my grandparents place. I didn't hear from my mom when I moved in with my dad so that like 7 years without hearing from her. My dad uses drugs, when I lived with him I would never see him, he would come home at like 5 am drunk and high and then sleep all day until he gets drunk and high again, and then he went to prison. While he was in prison I thought I would stay with my grandparents, but they don't love me so they left me with my dads alcoholic best friend who tries to fight me. My mom recently contacted me but my dads friends said she was only contacting me so she could get to him for drugs. No one in my life loves me. What's the point? |
