Posted: 29 Aug 2015 05:10 PM PDT Okay, super long story in a shorter version, my friend used to self-harm, and had a really awful boyfriend who treated her meanly. Somehow, her mom transformed the guy into a rapist with her own mind- AKA, she's convinced he raped her daughter, which I know was actually consensual. Her mother always made fun of her cuts and tells her how useless she is. My friend has Turret's, but her mother adored her until that point. Her mom treats her younger brother and older sister like gods. But my friend? She's treated like ****. Was thrown in a mental hospital for old, completely healed scars from about a year ago. Now has to take mood stabilizers. What can I do? She's going to die if this continues, I know she will. Today I got a group text from her grandmother saying she has no idea who we are, but that we gave her bad advice that lead her to where she is and to not contact her. I live in California, she lives in New York since I moved a few months ago. Who can I call to get her out of that house? Please help me, I don't know what to do. |

I was threatened, beat up, cyberbullied, and ridiculed about how I look. My friends were embarrassed to hang around me bc of that and avoided me.. I developed very low self esteem. The school could not do anything to stop it bc there was so many people doing it, and more than half of them I didn't even know like that and not all of them went to the same high school as me. I told my mom to transfer me out of the district but she refused to. So I stopped going altogether until they reluctantly put me into a homeschool program. My mom tells the family that "I dropped out of H.S" and that I don't care about education. So now the family are rude to me, too. They've threatened me, grabbed me, called me a hoe and my mom didn't care. She antagonizes me every single day. She tells me that I'm "not normal" or retarded and need to go to a psychologist to get tested for autism bc she thinks I don't know how to socialize, when I do. When we argue she says "that's why you have autism" when I was never diagnosed with it. I think it's bc my little brother has autism and I feel bad for him bc he has to deal with her. I have three close friends who I talk to everyday, who she calls non-existent. And today, I told her that one of them wants to take me shopping in a few days and she called my friend gay, crazy, not right, and that none of my friends care about me. I went to my room and cried. She tells the family I don't have friends, and now they're convinced that I don't, and that I don't go to school so now they don't want to buy me anything. I've started school and I take courses in college, but I don't have any new clothes. I don't think my mom understands that this hurts me. What should I do???:( (I apologize for how long this was) Btw, I text my friends almost everyday because when I do call them, she screams "WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO?" and my friends were just as annoyed as I was. Posted: 29 Aug 2015 02:20 PM PDT Here's a few things about me: I'm almost 15, I got accepted into one of the best school's in the country (for regular school and it's performing arts school) and play piano. I've always been the weird ugly nerd girl no one talks to in school, and was picked on. It wasn't until 8th grade I made most of my friends and started enjoying to go to school. Back in January, I auditioned for the performing arts school, as most of my friends were either going into the highschool our school fed into or applied for the highschool I auditioned at. I have low self confidence, and knew I wouldnt get accepted after hearing the other pianists play. I have a boyfriend who I've been dating for 11 months now, and we all expected him to get in for the math and science program (he's very intelligent.) up until march, everything was fine. I ended up getting accepted (i was shocked) and all my friends got rejected, even my boyfriend. Anyways, since I was in the orchestra program at my school, we had a music program trip to Gatlinburg. After graduation, summer break started and I began loosing my friends. I have almost no friends left since no one talks to me anymore since school started. No one talks to me at my new school, I've only made like 3 friends. I'm starting to not want to be in a relationship anymore, and the reason is bc I still see him as friend even though we've dated for so long. This is horrible but I've liked 2 guys while dating him but got over them and never cheated.Advice needed. |

Posted: 29 Aug 2015 02:04 PM PDT -I have this friend that works for a company that deals with adults with autism. right now with the company she works every 9-12ish doing what they call supported employment where she goes to work with a client then sits there and watches him work and if he has any problems she will step in and help him out. then Wednesday afternoons she would go to her work place and hold a class where she taught the adults music,art and theater. and she would take me with her as I was interested in the class and could learn from it, we did things like splat paint, go to a studio and learn about taking pics and music production and all, we even went to an art gallery. one time she let me teach the class about Mozart which made me happy. she picked me up 2 weeks ago and took me to class where we made drums for drum circle. I was to go the next week but she got word that I was sick and refused to take me to class because I was sick and she did not want to get her kids sick fro me being sick. then last week she refused to get me again because I was still feeling a lil sick. then she texted me saying that class was canceled till October. then I get more texts saying that with her supported employment and her kids and their schedules it was all stressing her out so much that could not longer come and take me to class and that I could not tell anyone about it because it would stress her out even more if I told people about it. yes I was unhappy with it but got over it. then yesterday n facebook she posted from the classes page that her adult class was canceled till October but that she was looking to start a class like that for children with disabilities. when I read that I was pissed becse she claimed to be to stressed out with work and kids to take me to class yet she wants to start a class for kids with disabilities as well. does she seem like a rude and unfair friend for not being to stressed out to take me to class while trying to start up another group |

My one friend, Sarah, made out with 9 guys this summer, smokes weed occasionally, sometimes vapes, gave a guy a *******, and cheated on her boyfriend. My other friend Nicole made out with 3 guys and is dating one of the guys she made out with and he fingered her yesterday. Nicole isn't really bad because she doesn't smoke weed and only vaped once. (By the way the vape they smoke has no nicotine and is just water vapor and I tried it once before with them). Anyway, my other friend Jessica doesnt like them at all and thinks they are very bad. Although, jessica is a huge goody two shoes and she never gets in trouble and doesn't do anything bad ever. Nicole and Sarah are good people though, they get very good grades and are in all advanced class and are my age. When I'm around them I feel more myself because I curse more, which I feel weird doing in front of jessica. So are my friends bad for me? For the most part she's nice and friendly towards me but she seems to love flipping me off. She also likes to cut me off sometimes when I'm walking and giggles about it. I asked her why she cut me off once and she said she was acting like a brat and just giggled and we walked together to our lockers. But anyway she's flipped me off on separate occasions. | Posted: 29 Aug 2015 12:49 PM PDT Ill be a junior in highschool, my freshman year was amazing and my sophomore year was the hardest year ever, my best friend dated my crush who she knew ive liked and talked too, she didnt tell me I saw a picture of them on social media, then she said I wanted to tell you but didn't know how and I told her my heart was broken and I was crying and she just said she didnt know what to say, freshman year we were like 2 peas in a pod, best friends like always hanging out, laughing, smiling, having fun, being silly and goofy, I had all my guy friends and I was happy, this year she seemed to take my guy friends and they got closer to her, they all kind drifted apart from me, she likes to smoke and drink I don't, but thats her life and thats okay, I just choose not too, this year was very tough she barely would talk to me, then she would, then it would be awkward like complete strangers but then sometimes we would be like best friends again, we got over the whole dating thing that was back in the beginning of the year last year, but now this summer ive seen her maybe 4 or 5 times including hanging out and parties and its not the same, she never ever texts me anymore and i always want to talk to her so ill always be like hey i have a question, i care about her so much but she doesnt even like seem to care anymore? When we hang out its fun but When i text her Her answers are a few hours later or shell answer right away or when i send long texts i get aww thank you love you too |
| Question: I am really resentful towards my best friend? Posted: 29 Aug 2015 12:47 PM PDT recently, it seems like she's changed a lot. It isn't one big thing that she's done. She's just become really self absorbed, not quite as nice as she used to be, and not as much fun to be around. it leaves me feeling really bitter/ resentful towards her. I don't want good things for her anymore, and I don't care about her personal life. What should I do to make this better? Or should I just try to distance myself? |

We usually talk on facebook cuz thats the only option and we chat every single day she wasnt really close me when she left new york but now she is sooo close to me. We even once spoke on this topic that we arent lesbians cuz a guy once said you both seem to be in love yes we are at least i am but i have no physical desires i just love her and im really really possesive about her recently in school there is a guy he like me when i told step about him and what he does she tolde that she is possesive and jealous amd she cant share me with anyone. Step is married i domt get her she is always fighting with me why i talk to tjat guy she made me block him and i did cuz she means more than anything to me. We have a pure relation which is unique and no physical desires from any side we just hold hands for a while when she comes to newyork is this more than friendship? I mean is this normal? | Question: How to handle nasty people at work? Posted: 29 Aug 2015 12:27 PM PDT So apparently I've offended some colleagues at work. I was informed by the manager that some people are saying that I am not being cooperative. What? I made sure to tell the manager, "This person would keep giving me tasks while I am already doing something on a daily basis". The manager then said I can try telling them "I'm busy right now, but will help when I am done". Do you think the manager will understand that they are trying to bully me? The manager also did rub/pat my shoulder. I also felt like crying but was holding back tears. What would my reaction come across as? Also, why would colleagues not talk to me first instead? |

He is known for stretching the truth (more like ripping it apart) and i texted him about if he was excited for school. he just jumped into how "ripped he was" from all his "workouts". I asked my friend about it, and she said he was just as wimpy as ever. So I called him out on it, and he won t admit he is lying. he keeps saying "i don t know what you are talking about. I know ur obsessed with me so i cant send you a pic of me otherwise you will just use it as your lock screen. but I am so ripped. ur friend has no idea what she is talking about. " overall he is being a downright douche. i am in no way obsessed with him. But i dont want to end our friendship the way we did. he just said "wow grace i cant believe you. i thought you were nicer than that, but i guess i wont be texting you for a while :/" should i just not talk to him ever again? or say something saying how i feel about this? please help!!! |

Yesterday my school held a place to go for his close friends to go and talk to counsolers and I was there for all 7 hours of school and I didn't leave once. I never have cried this hard I haven't stopped in 2 days. This is the first person iv known that died. I don't know what to do with myself I'm just so sad. It helped a little sitting with people who was feeling the same pain as I was but I'm still beyond sad. I don't know what to do |
| Question: Does my "bff" care about me? Posted: 29 Aug 2015 11:57 AM PDT She's a nice person but she has a habit of cancelling our hangouts last minute (literally) and says she has some other plan. It's a weird relationship bc we have fun convos and all, but I always feel like I'm stepping on eggshells whenever I talk to her--she's quite sensitive & takes things to heart. She calls me her best friend, while I don't feel like she's my best friend. I always try to comfort her and help her when she has a hard time, but she never really asks how I'm doing. I once told her a bit about my childhood and how it put me in a difficult position but she didn't seem interested & just said, "forget it". But they're not something I can simply forget. After that, I was SO embarrassed I wanted to take back all the things I told her! I could never confide in her again about my life problems. Whenever she's upset, if nobody comforts her, she becomes really depressed so I end up helping her. I know I'm not expressive (she says I'm emotionless), but sometimes I feel like this friendship benefits her more than me. I feel like i'm putting in more effort. I'm confused bc she thanks me when I help her and says I'm always there for you, etc. When I got into a great school program, she only said "oh, I should do that too" & didn't congratulate me. But later when I was in the program, she says I can't believe my friend is in this program! omg! (I need to interact with her first in order for her to say nice things like that) I'm glad I met her, but I don't know what to do! |

Since she met him she cusses all the time, has a dirty sense of humor, and acts like she doesn't care about anything. I honestly believe it's because she wants to act cool. She also has a friend that's not too nice as well. This friend of hers calls me names and she laughs about it with him. She wont stick up for me. When she comes over to my house and we hangout she doesn't even talk to me because she is always on her iPad texting other people. Recently she told me that she wasn't going to text this friend anymore because she knows that my feelings were quite hurt when they'd make fun of me together. I wanted to see if that was true. It wasn't. She continued to text her friend. Not shortly after he (her friend) starts commenting things on my Instagram. I confronted her about talking to him still and how I didn't enjoy his comments on my profile. She responded "So you want nothing to do with me for 2 days and now you feel like you have the right to text me?" I couldn't take it anymore and I had to stop talking to her a few days previous. I responded with with "Fine. I'll leave then" I could not stand it anymore so i blocked her on iMessage. The next day on Facebook she tells me to unblock her. I still needed time to think over things so I read her message and didn't reply. Two days later decided it was time to talk to her. |

I disagreed, we were both still virgins then. It wasn't a big argument at all, just a small disagreement. Eventually she said "why don't you come to my house tonight, we'll have sex and see for ourselves" at first I wasn't too sure but I decided to go ahead, she's adorable too. I have CF and I'm infertile, and we don't have any STD's so we didn't use a condom. It felt awesome, lol and she enjoyed it too. I don t talk very much but that s not because I am shy. I just don t know what to talk about. Lunch is the worst because I just walk around and everybody says hi but nobody really invites me into there clique. I have friends but it s always awkward when it s just me with one. I need to be in a group of them to feel comfortable. Even when I am in a group I just listen and laugh. I don t like being alone but I just don t know what to say to the people I am with. Help? |
