Question: Can Bride's Maids be married or otherwise involved? (Detail Box explains a lot)? Posted: 23 Aug 2015 08:51 PM PDT I was just thinking about pairing a married bride's maid with someone who wasn't their husband in the procession because her husband wouldn't be part of the groomsmen. Would it be appropriate to pair a married (or involved) woman with someone that wasn't her husband (or significant) partner in the wedding procession? Same for groomsmen--does it matter if they're single or not? Traditionally I think all Procession Members have been single. In all the movies they are. So the issue never occurred to me. I was just thinking about courtesy and respecting the fact that they were involved and that their special other wasn't a close friend of the groom. |
Question: Can anyone think of a good first dance song for us? Specifics below? Posted: 23 Aug 2015 05:56 PM PDT Can anyone think of a song that would be fitting for a bride and groom about being apart but always being together? Fiance has a job with a lot of traveling so that sums up our story |
Question: In a temporary, non-legal, "year and a day" handfasting, what does the priestess say? Posted: 23 Aug 2015 05:22 PM PDT Some friends of mine asked me to preform a temporary handfasting for them to celebrate the love they have for each other. I understand the basics of how a handfasting should go but in no way am I trained to preform such a task. I was wondering if anybody had a link to a script for the person standing in for a priestess. I want this to go as well as possible for them and any script on what to do for a temporary handfasting would be great! |
Posted: 23 Aug 2015 05:04 PM PDT My fiance and I are getting married in two months. I have recently been searching for a wedding gift for parents. Both our parents are divorced. My dad has recently gotten engaged. My question is, should I get my dad s fiance a wedding gift from me? They have been together 7 years. |

Question: Where can I find a good video of a modern American wedding? Posted: 23 Aug 2015 04:08 PM PDT Some of the questions I've seen in this section, like "What is a good song for the maid of honor to walk down the aisle to?", have me really curious as to what goes on in today's weddings that I might not be familiar with. Can anyone point out a YouTube video that illustrates some of these things? (I mean a film that just shows the ceremony and/or reception from start to finish without all the artsy touches.) Thanks. |

Posted: 23 Aug 2015 12:23 PM PDT I don't understand why that is said ? wouldn't it be better to say love is forever or something romantic like that ? death do us part sounds very grim and morbid and gives off the impression that once we die we will never be together again... im a christian and i think that despicable line should be removed from weddings and replaced with something more loving and binding like "my the couples love be eternal" |
