Question: How to deal with my younger sibling acting up in school? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 01:36 PM PDT Im a senior in high school and my younger brother is currently a freshman. First of all i want to say that my brother is special needs and i love him but im starting to actually dread this. When me and him get on the bus, he would stay quiet then like most people he would pull out his cellphone with earphones and play some kind of funny sound. The problem is that he would sometimes laugh out loud many times (even when he's not listening to anything he randomly laughs sometimes when people can hear him and its embarrising. And then when i tell him to keep quiet he would stay quiet for about 5 minutes, and then start it up again. Then in the mornings we sit in the cafeteria before we go to first period and he acts up there too. He would ask a bunch of random people that he doesn't even know saying "hey you want to listen to this (his dumb sounds)?" And he would do it even across to another table. I know he can't control some things but i know he can control what he's doing. My parents told him to specifically to keep quiet on the bus to not act childish all the time before school started . Im afraid to tell my parents because im worried their gonna think i cant handle him. Once again i love him and i understand his disabilities but its my senior year and im not liking it so far because i basically have to babysit in the mornings. Please help, what can i do? |
Question: Why am I always so grumpy? READ DETAILS? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 01:35 PM PDT hi guys. so i'm a 16 year old female and I am always grumpy, I've become so grumpy that i'm just rude without even noticing it or thinking about it, it just all spills out! I'm not rude to strangers or anything, mostly just my little brothers and my parents or maybe a few friends. I recently have noticed how much my behavior through out the years has changed. when I was like 14 and 15 I was always sweet, I didn't really yell at anyone and I had a lot of patience and I didn't have a temper what's so ever. but now, I get so mad over the smallest things! I've been trying to be more nice lately and it just doesn't work, I always end up forgetting and yelling at one of my siblings or something lol but the thing is, back then I didn't even have to think about it, I was just nice. now I have to basically FORCE myself lol. also, I got online schooled when I was 15 years old. and I don't get out the house much unless it's to go to work (I've been working for about a week but I've been this way for awhile) but yeah, I thought maybe i'm just tired of being around my family because i'm home ALOT but i'm not sure. is it because i'm a typical moody Teen? idk I just wanted to tell someone my feelings I guess because i'm starting to feel like i'm gonna be a jerk when I get older which I don't want to happen ): any advice on how to turn my mood around?): |
Question: How to tell parents my Mac was stolen? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 01:34 PM PDT So I'm in a pretty rough situation. In January this year, my MacBook Air was stolen. I walked to Subway (the restaurant) after school and when I left I left my cheer bag there. I came back immediately after I realized I left it (it was a careless mistake, I know, but it happens to many of us) and they said they hadn't seen my bag and couldn't check cameras. My mom is aware that I left my bag, however she doesn't know my laptop was in it. My teacher that day requested that we bring computers to do an assignment, which is why I had it to begin with. I didn't tell my parents for so long because I thought I could save up money and buy myself a new one without them knowing. It was stupid, honestly if I could go back I would've just said something. But I can't find the right time, and I don't know how they'll take it because yes it's my fault for leaving the bag, but it's not my fault someone stole the bag. I did everything I could to get it back. I'm really upset and I need to know how to tell my parents? :( |
Question: As a mother, how do I check my son's tablet for porn? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 01:17 PM PDT My son uses his tablet a lot at night. When I check the history, I never find anything suspicious. How do I check for what he does in incognito mode? |
Question: I overheard my parents talking about me, what do I do? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 01:06 PM PDT Okay so last night I was in my basement, grabbing something. I walked up the stairs and was about to open the door when I heard my parents say my name. Of course, I eavesdropped on them. It wasn't on purpose at first, but I heard them say that I was insane, a liar, and a brat. I'm a teenager, but I'm not old enough to get a job yet, and they make me feel guilty about every penny they spend on me. I heard them say I ruin everything. They talked about some messed up ****. It's my birthday soon, and they said I can't have friends over for my birthday, which they promised I could have. Earlier I called my dad and he imitated my voice and said how ungrateful I was. I was so sad and hurt, but I didn't open the door. I was just going to wait for them to stop talking about me and then I would go upstairs to cry in peace. Then, my mom opened the basement door, and all I could say was "You guys are the worst," before Iran upstairs. As I ran upstairs, my parents began to scream things like "No! YOU'RE the worst!" And "You little SNEAK!" I know it was wrong for me to eavesdrop, but what they said hurt me so much. I need to talk to them about what they said. I've tried but they told me I should be the one begging for forgiveness like wtf. How do I talk to them about this! Help please! |
Question: How do you feel when someone tells you they re "broke" ? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:57 PM PDT my best friend grew up less fortunate than i did, and so it was like my parents had a 3rd child every time we went somewhere. that never bothered me and still doesn t to this day. but i have a family member who tells me their family is broke at least once every couple of weeks yet they went out and bought two new fridges yesterday... i don t understand it. the fridges weren t even necessary, it seemed like an upgrade type thing to please themselves. it bothers me when she blatantly tells me their broke and that s why we have to move plans to a different day. it s annoying. she has her own job, but it s like they all share their income. maybe i just don t understand it. thanks for answering! |
Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:51 PM PDT Let me just say that I know it's weird and disgusting to feel this way so no need to tell me that. Secondly I know there are a lot of trolls on this site but this is real and I really need advice. I've had abnormal feelings for my dad as long as I can remember. When I was little I'd ask to be his girlfriend and for him to marry me, at the time he just thought it was cute. I knew a lot about sex at an early age and at age four would think of my dad when masturbating. I even remember kissing him in his sleep at that age. I figured I would grow out of my Electra complex but it only got worse. I spoke to a psychologist about it when I was twelve and his said I would grow out of it and if I didn't to just date older men. I'm seventeen now and still feel the same. Nobody knows though I think my best friend is onto it because he notices how happy I get when my dad compliments me and he jokes that I need to stop flirting with him. It really affects me because I can't spend time with my dad like a normal daughter when my mind is treating him like someone I'm attracted to. I can't see a professional as I don't have the money especially if they will be as unhelpful as the first. I figured if I identified the problem then I could fix it but I have no clue why I feel this way. My parents have been divorced since I was five but my dad was there for me 24/7 so I don't think my issue is from a lack of love or support from him. Can anyone help me out? I really hate this and want it to stop. |
Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:46 PM PDT I'm a female, 17, and my mom is driving me crazy. Let me give you some background. My dad died a year and a half ago. Me, my then 6 year old brother, my mother, and 19 year old sister were all very heartbroken. I struggled with depression for a long time, and got caught up in cutting and drugs for a short few months. I was always extremely close with my dad. When I asked my mom for therapy, she asked me why I didn't want to talk to her and was mad. For the last few months, my mom has been going out drinking almost every night. She's gone out clubbing a few times as well. She gets face lifts and drinks at least two beers a day and buys anything she wants. Which is fine. Who cares? My sister and I were never close, but that isn't something I particularlt regret. We pleasantly tolerate each other and occasionally bond over our mutual hatred of our mom, but we don't got far behind that. But now both of us have to take turns making dinner, watching our now seven year old brother, and tending to the house. She's obsessed with her appearance. Guys buy her drinks, and she pretends like she's the best mom in the world when she really just isn't. She's flamboyant and so annoying and fake that it's sickening. She met a new woman at work about half a year ago, and I think she's an awful influence. She gets drunk and has one night stands and has two young children. What should I do? I can't take this anymore. My dad was my safe haven. I don't know what I can do now. |
Question: My sister left today and I'm so upset? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:45 PM PDT I'm 15 and my sister is 21. She left to go live abroad for a year but I miss her so much. It's only been a day and so much chaotic stuff has happened in my house and she's normally the peace maker and the one everyone turns to but now it's just mayhem. Me and her have always had a tight bond and without her I can't be. I keep crying because I miss her so much. I didn't think I'd be like this please someone tell me what to do! Every little thing makes me emotional now. I try to not think about it but everything reminds me of her. Please I need help. I know it's only going to get worse |
Question: 13 Year Old Watching Animal/Rape Porn? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:25 PM PDT I am very concerned.. My boyfriends son is 13 years old and due to recently finding out he has (or had) been smoking weed and doing inhalants (by himself, as he doesn't have many friends) - we confiscated his phone. When we went through his search history he was also watching animal porn and abuse/rape porn. Not only this, but for about two years now I have noticed he goes through everything in the house... He also goes through my car and overnight bags and steals from me (Not typically major things but like snacks, gum - he will eat an entire pack in one hour, lighters, pens, lotions). He has an awful relationship with his mother, he still sees her 1-2 times per week but when he was younger she used to steal his ADD medication and abuse it and now all she seems to care about is meeting men and the NA or AA lifestyle. She seems to be scared of him sometimes also as not too long ago he threatened her with a fork and told her to "face f* herself" I've tried very hard to talk with my boyfriend about finding his son a therapist and he won't. He uses the excuse of no money even when I give him resources for free therapists, and excuses his son due to him getting good grades in school. I honestly think my boyfriend is too embarrassed and takes his sons issues as a reflection of himself. This child really needs help and I don't know what to do... every time I try to talk about the issues with my boyfriend, it creates a fight no matter how delicate I try to be about the issues. |
Question: Can your half sister and half brother marry eachother? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:18 PM PDT Okay so let's say you have a half sister from the same dad and a half brother from the same mom. The half sister and half brother are basically stepsisters. What happens if your recent parents divorce? Can the half brother and half sister marry eachother? Because then from your prospective, your sister and brother are marrying eachother... Sorry if my explanation is confusing. |
Question: Is it worse to have no mom or no dad? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 12:04 PM PDT Okay, so I was talking with my friend and I was saying how it sucked not to have a mom. She said that it was worse not to have a dad. So we started discussing it and why not ask the internet? (We're writing this together) I think it's a bit worse not to have a mom because there's all that stuff when you're a baby and you're supposed to bond with the mom when you're little I guess? And you always hear about moms helping their kids do crafts and bake and fun things like that. But then if you don't have a dad, it still sucks because it's usually really hard for a mom to raise a baby on their own and you don't get to have the normal kid moments with your dad like riding a bike or playing sports and stuff. But without a mom you probably aren't breastfed or anything and you don't have many women to look up to when you're young. But same goes for dads... So which is worse? It really sucks to not have a parent but would you rather have no mom or dad? |
Question: My sister is super satanic? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 11:58 AM PDT My sister is always glaring at me and telling me to kill myself. One time she slüt my wrist with Her teeth and drank my blood! She always screams at night too? Is she possesed?? |
Question: I want to break up my mom and stepdad!? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 11:58 AM PDT I hate my stepdad. He barely talks to me, and my mom is always telling me to. Then if she thinks I don t talk to him, I get in trouble. He spends all of his time isolated from me, but when my mom comes home he s all over her. Plus, in the past he s hit and pushed my mom and I haven t been able to get over that. I was young when it happened and I saw it with my own eyes. My mom says I need to get over it but it s hard. I hate how they act like every thing is fine when he has harmed my mother and they ve had problems this year. My stepdad doesn t even havea job my mom pays for mostly everything. I know my mom can find someone better because she s such a great person. Oh, and his step daughter comes for the summer and she bullies me, and my stepdad doesn t do anything. I m so tired of him. I really want to break them up can someone give me advice? |

This kid really loves me and is attached to me at family gatherings. My mom said yeah well totally all be able to come, but now i got my cross country schedule and have a meet at the exact time of the party. He was excited when he heard i was coming and now hes prob gonna be so disappointed. However, hes gonna have all his little friends there too, so do you really think hell care that much? How can i stop feeling so guilty? Thanks |
Question: Dad wont give me my furniture? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 11:30 AM PDT My mother kicked me out and I lived with my boyfriend. Me and my parents had a fine relationship after. They then soon got a divorce and about the end of the divorce I got an apartment with my boyfriend. They still was fine with me and everything, but then soon after the divorce was final (And I had come out to my parents as transgender) my dad decided to start ignoring me. He stopped only to take me to a therapist (Which flirted with me and my mother it was gross) and then when the therapist didn't go like he wanted and they didn't tell him yes you're right you child is horrible and you're king ruler of the world he dropped contact again. Well I still have a couch, coffee table, cabnit, and my childhood bed there that I want to take with me. (The couch and coffee table was given to me by mom when she was moving out but the cabinet and bed was mine for all my life) well he wont answer a single message I send, or calls. My mother saw his sister the other day (She is a terrible woman that controls my dad constantly) and his sister said I can have my stuff as long as I help move it. I've said I will. I've even said just recently to remind him I will help him. But still I'm ignored. Is it possible for me to get a police escort up there and get my items back? Also little extra since no one thought of it I guess. I'm broke. Broke as ****. Like sometimes can't get groceries kinda broke. We are 19 and 20 and have been on our own for like a few months. We haven't had enough time to have money set aside to by new furniture. Also the bed and cabinet was bought for me as a child and the couch and coffee table was what my mother was going to give to me but I had no one to help move it and then I was suddenly disowned. |
Question: My mother who abandoned me was in my dream? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 11:28 AM PDT so when I was younger my mother abandoned me and my siblings because she was a drug addict. for years my father has asked me if I want to see her sort of as "closure" so I can feel better about the situation. I'm thinking when I'm older I'll meet with her and tell her she's the root of my trust issues and other problems in my life. last night she was in my dream and she just came over and ate dinner with my family, it was awkward but in my dream I sat with her at dinner, we were getting along sort of, until she took out cocaine in my dream and snorted it with her boyfriend, I slapped her hand and it went everywhere & I said "I don't ever want to see you ever again you're a sad excuse of a mother get the **** out of my life you don't deserve to be in it" is this a sign of closure? I'm not sure how to take this |

Question: I hate my niece and my sister? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 11:06 AM PDT I live with my niece since my sister gave birth at the age of 19 she is 27 now and I can't wait to get married and leave. Since I was 15 I forced to babysit her while not in school and I just hated the fact that while my sisters are out living their lives I had to stay home and babysit. for 5 years because I had social anxiety and is hard to find job. First off my sister is a big whore who changes partners and cheats on them all the time. She flirts with my boyfriend and steal my clothes and right now I have to babysit her for 2 weeks since my parents went to mexico and my sister is working 7 days a week so she says. Because I find her texting about how sex is. so she probably is lying she works. Yesterday she was talking about stay home moms that they need to find a job and I told her at least they take them to the zoo and park because my niece did not go anywhere this summer and school begins in few days and it sucks now I am stuck with her for the last days of summer I work 3 days a week and I feel like I rather be working than with this little girl because she bothers me so much talking all day about my little pony and when her mother gets home she still bothers me! I can't confront my sister I am afraid of her everyone in my house is even my parents. Please give me some feedback and I am so guilty of sometimes treating my niece bad by ignorin |

Question: I don t have a father? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:59 AM PDT Hello! I m 14 years old and this have haunted me for a long time. I don t have a father, and I don t know who he is, where he is, why he left, or anything at all. I asked my mother when I was about 9-10 years old and by that time I wasn t really sensitive about it and I could ask my mother without getting hurt. I only asked what his name is and where he lives. She told me that he moved to another town (not sure if she lied, she kinda seemed sad when she answered. I don t really remember what his name was, Michael or something I think? She could have lied about that too. But that s all I really know about my dad. Anyways, my question is how I can find out who he is without my mom knowing? My birthday is in a month so I will be 15 soon. I m not sure what it s called in English because I m Swedish, but it s some kind of card where you can for example get your birth certificate with. My best friend is helping me, even her mom agreed to help me without my mother knowing, so is it possible for me to get my birth certificate and find out who my father is that way? It doesn t say what age you have to be to get it, it only says you need this card and you can just print it out and get it that way. So will my fathers name be on that birth certificate, or do I have to be over 18 years old to get my birth certificate? It doesn t say what age you have to be. Thank you for reading this, and sorry for my English, as I said I m Swedish :) |
Question: I like being antisocial but my parents keep pushing me to go out more? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:59 AM PDT For middle school(grade 7) I was forced to change schools. I wanted to go to the big one that all my friends were going to, but since my brother had a bad experience there I had to go to his tiny private school where everyone who isnt accepted in the big schools goes to. I didnt connect with anyone there. The only person I became friends with, ended up being a total jerk. Soat the end of grade 8 I ended that friendship. I've come to like being alone. I enjoy the time to myself. I've learnt different sides of me and new interests. But my parents and I domt see eye to eye in the matter. I hate going out to busy public places like the beach or a park. Its because whenever I see people, or most commonly, kids my age having fun with other kids, it makes me miss having friends, and then I fall back into my state of mild depression. Goimg to this tiny school has litteraly ruined my life. Im planning on changing schools for grade 9 but dont know if I can reform into being social. Bottom line is, my parents get mad whenever I say I REALLY dont want to go out for a walk at the park or beach or whatever and wjen J try to explain they dont understand. My parents think its bad for me mentally to stay in my room all the time. But thats where Im happiest and feel the most at ease. I do plan on getting my social life back in the new year, but for the rest of the summer I just want to cherish my time alone. Am I in the wrong? How can I make them understand? |
Question: I hate my little cousins? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:57 AM PDT They are 4 years old. They don't even know how to talk yet. They only say individual words and most people can't understand them. When I try to teach them anything, they refuse to learn and watch TV instead. I'll repeat something a million times and they still won't remember. All they do is watch TV all day and get their parents to buy them every toy they want. They are extremely spoiled and their parents don't discipline them. Everyone in my family thinks they are little angels. The older one demands everything and refuses to say "please" or "thank you." They refuse to eat anything besides junk food. Everyone gives in to them, and now they are spoiled as a result. I don't know how they'll be able to go to school nexy year. They don't know the alphabet or numbers, because they don't want to learn. They are still fed everything. I am so frustrated because I have to babysit them every day. They are ungrateful, lazy, and disobedient. They purposely break all of their toys but their dad keeps on buying them more. Whenever I yell at them, they start crying and the adults yell at me. Everyone always says how they're SO smart. It's so annoying. They demand attention all the time. I'm a student and have to study, but the adults are always telling me I have to watch them. I am so done. |

Question: Does this seem kinky to you? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:51 AM PDT I am a 19 year old guy with a 15 year old female cousin. She is a very nice person but is very shy. Her parents will not let her date until she is 16 which is a few months from now. She is very much looking forward to that time. She told me she has never kissed a boy and she wants to do it right. She wants me to give her kissing lessons. I told her there ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT BE ANY ROMANTIC RELATIONS BETWEEN US. She said she understands that and is cool with it. She said she just wants to learn how to be a great kisser. Should I do what she wants? It seems kind of kinky to me. |

Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:36 AM PDT My grandmother is part cuban so she can be somewhat hot tempered, but we think she might also have some psychological problem. Every since my dad was little she would be overdramatic and throw temper tantrums about the smallest things. She's always been this way and once kicked us out of the house because she was brushing my hair and I said ouch can you be more gentle please. She threw the comb down and kicked us out. But then a month later she'd act like it never happened. This summer we visited for a few days. I notice she favors me over my brother. Anyway, things got worse because theres only 2 rooms so my brother has to be on an air mattress in this hot room. He said the next day he couldn't sleep and tried to get me to switch with him. We argued about it for a bit but came to an agreement. My grandmother went off on us and called my brother "mr. Whiney" and said since I'm the oldest and am a girl I should have more privacy and privileges. As usual , the next few days she would ask me about my life and how everything was and barely ask my brother anything. The last night before we left, she was telling us about how sugar is bad for you and my brother said on his iphone he found that its not. She went off on him and my mom said it made her uncomfortable when she yells, to which she stormed off to her room. After, she told my grandpa that after we leave the next day she never wants to see us again, and that she hates my mom and brother. Anyone have any advice? |
Question: Are we in our fathers before we're in our mothers? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:34 AM PDT Just think about it, it takes both egg and sperm to make a human.BUT the sperm cell is alive unlike the egg cell so wouldn't that make us start off as the sperm cell? |
Question: What to do if my entire family is against my college choices? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:23 AM PDT I'm graduating in May 2016 and have applications for the US, Canada, and UK. Money matters have already been considered and all three are doable. I hope I'll end up in US, but my entire family is against it. Because of distance. My sister is in the UK, which is close to France. They don't want me to go because I'll "be too far away". I understand the bird is finally leaving the nest but is that a reason to deprive me from my dream and numerous work opportunities and great education available in the US? How can I reassure them that distance won't change a thing to our relationship, except less frequent meet ups. I have learned about this issue through my sister. My parents haven't told me a thing. I know she is my sister, but I do think she sometimes extrapolates and makes up reasons... Any ideas? I'm just about to be an adult who would want to realize his dream... One that is totally achievable and I would be extremely disappointed for a long time if they ever managed to deprive me from that. |
Question: Why is my dad a massive hypocrite? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:12 AM PDT So his hypocrisy is displayed all the time really, but one example that just occurred, I was having a lie own for 30 mins or so and he has just been sleeping for like 3 hours and he comes down shouting at me saying im a fat slob and i look disbaled and need to get off my **** and help out becuase he is always doing stuff?! How do i deal with this? |
Question: My brother wants to stay over more often. What should I do? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:09 AM PDT I have been living in my own apartment for over a year now and I enjoy my own space and allowing friends and others to stay over. There are some things that are more stressful but overall I couldn't be happier with my situation. However my 17 year old brother (I'm 22) enjoys spending time at my place and wants to stay more permanently. We have always been very close. However I enjoy my own space and it can get a bit awkward at times. He often brings some girls round to stay and he can be a little inconsiderate at times. |
Question: I am feeling so sad and unhappy. What should I do about this? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:04 AM PDT I've been feeling really depressed for a while and it's becoming impossible to deal with. I'm 17 but it just feels like my life isn't worth living. My girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend, my other friends are self centered, I've never had a father figure, everyone is only out for themselves and overall I have lost happiness for life and living. My mum and sisters are the only people in my life who matter and they are the only reason why I haven't ended it all. It's hard to explain how I feel but I feel empty inside |
Posted: 25 Aug 2015 09:01 AM PDT My wife's father has a bit of a tempter and takes out his moods on those around him (not violently but verbally). I've witnessed him blaming his wife for his mistakes etc and it's rather embarrassing and hurtful for the wife. Well apparently when my wife refused to get confirmed when she was younger her father told her he hated her. She has never been able to let it go because her father never apologized and refuses to admit to saying it. Well fast forward 16, 17 years and their relationship although better is still on thin ice. She's never forgiven him for it and their relationship has suffered as a result (him wondering why she can't be close with him and her wishing he'd apologize). Well her was recently diagnosed with cancer and she told me about it in a very casual way. I know she loves her dad and that this is going to hurt her in time but how might this play out? I want to help her but she's acting like its no big deal when I know that she knows it is. her dad was diagnosed with cancer...not her. |

Question: Jealous relatives have spread a rumor that I had an affair with my brother-in-law....? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 08:49 AM PDT My sister got married when I was 14 and a year later,we lost my father and the treatment exhausted most of the funds for my college... My Brother-in-law is a great man..He funded my college education and allowed me to stay with my sister in city even though it could have invaded his privacy...After college,he helped me getting a good job and now I'm slowly able to repay the debt we took using our house as collateral.. Though now I live in PG,I regularly visit my sister and bro-in-law atleast once a week and we go to my native place together... I recently heard that my relatives on my dad's side have spread rumors that my bro-in-law helped us because he had an affair with me and my sister and mother allowed this because of our financial situation... We are Indians who have conservative values and family honor..and people believe rumors easily and villify someone as a slut without verifying..and no family would decide to marry me thinking I'm not a good girl.. FYI,My bro-in-law had always been a gentleman and never ever tried anything wrong with me even when my sister was in my mom's house during the time of her pregnancy... I dont know how to reverse this rumor as it will knock off potential suitors looking for me.. I think the persons who answer are forgetting that in India..we have concept of arranged marriages where the families of bride and groom meet and after they feel fine with each other..they allow the bride and groom to meet .. So even if a boy is open minded,he might not have met me as his family might have rejected me before that.. |
Question: Should I tell my parents about this? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 08:28 AM PDT So I am 17. There is this guy at my work he 25. He's pretty fun. He can be rude to you but he thinks he's just joking. Anyways he wanted to be friends on facebook and I really didn't want to say no because I didn't want to be mean. I'm really never on facebook and thought it was no big deal. Well I friended him and when I was on facebook for a split second he started chatting with me and I didn't want to be rude so I chatted back. I've only known him just over a month and only ever talk to him at work. Well, he asked me out on a date on facebook, and I said no but stayed cool about it. This was like 2 or 3 days ago now. I've only talked to him once since. I don't want to make a big deal about it because I think he's harmless. So, should I tell my mom about it? And should I tell my manager at my work about it? Thanks for your response everyone. I wouldn't be asking this question if the guy was my age or just a year or two older. But since there is eight years between us I felt kind of uncomfortable with the situation. And I was just thinking of maybe telling my mom since I still live at home. I'm not scared just wasn't sure what to do. Also, I didn't want to unfriend because I don't want to make working with him completely awkward so I just restricted him. |
Question: How to keep a good relationship with your mother in law? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 08:23 AM PDT |
Question: My father doesn't provide? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 08:10 AM PDT All my life my father was never able to really provide for our family. He's lived off of my mom since the 90s. He'd always make promises that he couldn't keep. If we needed something to eat, we'd go to mom. If we needed clothes, we'd go to mom. If it were our birthday, guess who'd get us gifts? MOM! If there's a bill to be paid "Oh, crap the gas and lights need to be paid. What is mom gonna do?" it's like my dad doesn't even exist, but the funny part is that he lives with us, and always have. He's never been able to hold a job down. If he gets hired for something, I don't even get excited because I know he's either gonna quit or for some mysterious reason--lose the job. He works now at this place that makes $8 an hour, he also cuts grass to make money on the side but somehow when we need money he doesn't have it. Me an my brother always have to help our mom pay the bills since we're older now. But my father paid a few bills but it's not consistent. My mom doesn't even have a job right now because she went through major surgery and she's left to depend on my dad, with the help of us. We're doing all we can but I see my dad isn't doing enough. He's very pushy and rude. He gets irritated very easily, he's a racist and talks about whites 24/7. He's narcissistic, he's always talking about how everyone is jealous of him and he's also controlling. When my mom gave birth he was trying to teach her how to breastfeed as if he had breasts himself. He threw some of my things away without (continued) without my consent. I had an outfit that was in my closet that I never really wore and I bought it with my own money and he told me if I didn't wear the outfit he was gonna get rid of it. What happened a few days later? The outfit disappeared and I confronted him about it and he denied he said that he was gonna get rid of it and called me a liar basically. Then there was this collectors item I had and he said he was gonna get rid of it, it disappeared and I never saw again and he he denied he said that he was gonna get rid of this collectors item as well. He hates how I wear I my hair, and says to me "that hairstyle looks like sh*t" he put his hands on in a few occasions when I turned 18, he used to whip us with a belt as children. I'm 19 now and ready to move out and he has put his hands on me but it's not often but I called the police on him. If we ask him to go to the store for us he'd come back with things we told him not to get with our money Anything he knows we don't like, he does it.It's not 24/7 but he gives off this hostile vibe at times and is very manipulative. I think he might be a sadist, he enjoys seeing us suffer. At times he can be funny and fun but other times hes a jerk. There's this hostility towards us but it's subtle. He talks about women all the time and how they want to be seen and how some are whores, conceited and are gold diggers. He makes this comment about women every other day and talks about white ppl every day |
Question: How do I change my cousin and my aunt?!? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 08:09 AM PDT So my cousin, aunt and uncle (My aunt and cousin are by blood) are all obnoxious people full of themselves. My cousin (10 years old) is so full of himself and thinks he is king. Whenever I try to tell him this and make him knock out of it he shouts and ignores me. He has three ps4's (he broke two by being so irresponsible and his dad buys him whatever he wants, even though he has really bad grades and no respect to anyone) an Xbox one, and three iPads (again, broken irresponsibly) he has way more that I don't know about as I've never seen his house. I do know he has 7 dogs. (Not offspring, he bought them.) He is so much more financially better than my family and he knows ours has problems. But he still brags and teases me about all the stuff he has and how amazing he is. I was playing call of duty (I was very bored) with him and he chose a sniper that one shots you. Then he went into the center of the map and as I was running with my regular gun he one shots me. He says he has skill But all he does is camp and snipe. In reality I'm the one who has "skill" as I was using the most basic weapons. I kindly asked him to use a less overpowered gun and he started talking about how bad I am and stuff.. He makes me so mad that he brags and stuff and all he does is make me look bad. He's so full of himself and things he's always right. I want to slap him and make him know not everything revolves around him. |
Question: I tried to help my sister and I think I screwed up. Did I? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 08:05 AM PDT My sister was dumped my her husband of 10 years for a woman much younger than she was. The house sold and she had to move but her apartment would not be ready for 2 weeks so she is temporally staying with my husband and me. As expected she is depressed and has a very low self esteem. Trying to help her I asked my husband to tell her she is still beautiful and appealing to men. He did not want to do it but I insisted and that was what he told her. BIG MISTAKE. She thought he was flirting with her and she has been flirting with him ever since. He has been trying to avoid her but it is hard when she is living here. He wants me to tell her to back off. His is not interested in her in any way. I think he should tell her so I will remain good friends with her. Please give me your opinion. Who should tell her? My husband says the faster she leaves our house the better. |
Question: Can parents' problems become their kids' problems? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 07:47 AM PDT I mean my parents have debt problems and they're always angry and the only thing they talk about is work. I'm 16 and I think I'm getting a little bit depressed. I always feel anxious about something. So, can parents' problems become their kids' problems? Question: Mum found out her dad has cancer? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 07:34 AM PDT I was in the kitchen and heard the whole conversation (You can't not hear things, I wasn't intentionally listening in) She was saying "No dad, it's cancer you need to go back to them in 2 weeks not 3" (she's a nurse) Anyway she eventually hung up the phone and just burst into tears, started swearing and saying "Thanks God, thank you!" I don't want to waltz in straight away but what can I do to help her?! I legit just went downstairs and she's on the phone to our cousins laughing uncontrollably? She's making jokes and sounds like nothing is wrong...what? |
Question: Don't family members want to help eachother? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 07:29 AM PDT My brother left us 20 years ago and never called or wrote. He changed a year ago and started seeing us. He always asks my mom if she needs any money but I am his brother and he will not ask me. I am 46 and living with mom and never had my own place. My brother has an advertising business and I looked it up and it has 10-20 employees. My brother lives 5 hours away. Since I am sure my brother sees me struggling that it would seem he should ask me to work for him. Don't most family members want to help say a brother and should I ask about working for my brother or not? |

Question: Was my mum right to shout at me, or did she overreact? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 07:14 AM PDT I'm 19 years old. I decided to show mum this video to my mum called "Shrek is love, Shrek is life". It's an 18+ YouTube video - under 18's, beware! I thought she'd find it funny because she usually laughs at stuff like that, but overestimated her reaction. The video has the words "******" and "c*nt" in it, and it shows Shrek having sex with this animated lad who's supposed to be 9 years old in it, but he looked 20 something. Everyone I know thought the video was hilarious, except for my mum. She said that the video is vile and sick, and whoever created it is a twisted scumbag. She then said that I'm "as twisted as the guy who made the video". Did I deserve to be shouted at, or did she react? I've linked the video to anyone who wants to watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auEA9Ay6G0o |

Question: Why does my mom act like a child?!? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 07:09 AM PDT Ok, here it goes... Yesterday my mom and I went to the store and I asked her if I could get something, she got angry at me. I eat healthy all the time, I avoid packaged foods, preservatives, colours, etc. But sometimes a little treat is nice and I used to get this treat a lot before. (Asian rice crackers, sounds silly huh?) She told me that I need to watch my diet and these crackers aren't going to help. I got upset because I am always every single day watching my diet, but my younger sister can get anything she wants at the store and my mom never bugs her about eating healthy! How is this fair, why am I different? I literally never ask my mom for anything but I asked yesterday and she got mad at me...she set down the shopping basket and started walking towards the store exit and when I followed her she turned around and asked why I was following. I got up this morning and said Good Morning to my mom and she didn't even bother to answer! I have no idea what I did wrong and this is bugging me because she doesn't want to talk to me. She's acting like a child! Any advice please?? Seriously...no I am not chubby. Always have been one of the skinniest in my grade. Haha Saul7 you made me feel better! It wasn't about the cost, it was about the unhealthy ingredients in them...pretty sad she overreacted so much. A few moments ago she came to my room and told me how pathetic I am for seeing only other people's mistakes and not mine, I really hope this argument blows over soon. 😢 |

My younger sister is so mean and evil that destroys all my stuff and she also hurts me physically many times . My dad and my grandparents are the only ones that care for me and love me . My mum loves me less than my sister and she doesn't give a **** when I tell her everything that my sister does to me . However , if my sister tell her that I yelled at her , she will come right into my room and punish me ... Immidiatelly! Question: How to ask my parents to buy something(with my own money)? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 06:37 AM PDT disclaimer:if I spot any spammers here their abswers will be reported! just got some money, and as a music lover id really love to buy myself a dedicated sound card. I have got around 65 bucks, and id really love to buy something nice with it. but problems are: my parents already spent a lot of money on me to buy new clothes and stuff. but it is still not a lot compared to my sisters wardrobe and posessions! also, my parents would like me to save some money and I did spend lots of them on my pc. so they think, the sound quality doesnt matter just because they dont listen to music. they dont play games, so they think I spent too much money on my computer. but questions are, I am using my own savings! I didnt ask them for money? I saved them from lunch! they always told me about other kids saved a lot of money, but think about this. I paid half for my computer, and I also saved my OWN money to buy video games. I know that its my money, but how do I ask them for permission to use them? I know its not that hard for you, but its pretty hard for me. it would be magnificent if you guys can help me out. |

Question: Should I transition into a girl? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 06:31 AM PDT I'm male assigned at birth but I feel like I have a feminine soul. I like taking feminine/docile roles in every aspect of life and I always related to feminine figures in cartoons and book since I was a child Also I have a curvy body and big butt and I like showing it off. I wouldn't be able to do that as a male. |
Question: Can my father stop me from taking a trip to visit my boyfriends parents? Posted: 25 Aug 2015 06:20 AM PDT I'm 17 years old. My boyfriend (who's 18 and just graduated)s parents live in Texas, and when he was 12, his parents sent him to live with his grandma to get a better education (we both went to private schools). We met, were best friends, dated, now have been in a relationship for about 6 months. Now, it's my senior year, and his parents want us to drive down over winter break to spend Christmas with them. Of course I want to go. I come from a divorced family, with my mothers side loving my boyfriend and my father hating him. (Ever since he became my boyfriend he hated him, just a dad thing I guess). My mom is very supportive of us driving to his parents to spend Christmas there. But my father tells me i'm not allowed to go. Now, the custody agreement states that I get to live with whomever I want, when I want. (I kind of just bounce back and forth between houses). Can he legally stop me from going? Or if I say i'm going to be on moms time that week, will he be able to do anything? I don't turn 18 until spring, if he can stop me, it'll be a summer trip. I just want to know if I have the option to go. |
