Question: Court house weddings in Jefferson County, PA? Posted: 13 Aug 2015 07:20 PM PDT How do court house weddings go? Fiance says you just sign. I just want to be able to make sure my pastor marries us. |
Posted: 13 Aug 2015 05:59 PM PDT My boyfriend took me ring shopping, I asked him if we were purchasing or just browsing..he said "depends on what we find"..Lets just say, I'm very superstitious about numbers, particularly 27. I turn 27 next year. I want to get married BEFORE i turn 27. I turn 27 in July. So we began planning around an April 22 2016 date..however, he has not given me a ring yet..he is all for that date, and has been giving me feedback whenever I have wedding planning questions, he's gone to look at venues with me, etc. HOWEVER, my mom "will not give us a dime" until I have the ring. Lately he has been so back and fourth, he says he's excited to go look at the venue on sunday, etc. YET..he says that I need to calm down on the planning, he's mentioned that he feels rushed by that date (but also says he totally understands why). Last night he said"I wish I'd never told you."Every time I ask him about the ring he says "I don't know."I just asked him if he thought it was possible we would be engaged by Sept. 13 (because there is a wedding expo that day that i want to go to) and he says "I don't know".He tells me he DOES NOT have the money right now, even though I know for fact he does. He does not have the amount he would LIKE to have in the bank right now, but we found multiple rings I LOVE under $500 and I know he could afford them, it's not like I want a $3k ring! Should I give up on my dream date and stop planning? Should I try to talk to him about it in a different way? HELP |

Question: My ex is planning on ruining my wedding? Posted: 13 Aug 2015 12:34 PM PDT my former wife left me 3 years ago and hates my guts. Last year I started dating this girl and when it got serious I told my wife to file for a divorce and she did and pretty much paid for it as I said I was going to pay her back the attorney fee and I got the last laugh. Now she got kicked out of her apartment as she lost her job and now works at Wal-Mart I heard and had to move into a bad neighborhood and get a cheap apartment. She's been calling me demanding money from me and says if I don't pay her $1500 dollars she would ruin my wedding next month. I don't owe her anywhere close to that. I wouldn't even pay more then $120 dollars to file for a divorce so she's trying to rip me off. My fiancé thinks we should cancel the wedding as she knows she is a psycho. She left me a voice mail last week and said "I'm going to show up at your wedding and humiliate your bride in front of everyone" I have no idea. she found out where the wedding is from my finance's friend. She was mildly a friend of hers but my fiancé's friends some of them know my ex very well and one of our bridesmaids told my ex where it was going to be...she's one of those that can't keep her mouth shut. |
Question: Any ideas for a honeymoon? Getting married at the end of June next year? Posted: 13 Aug 2015 11:57 AM PDT Im getting married to my beautiful fiancee next year and we are still undecided where we should go on a honeymoon. Of course there are multiple places but the main thing is the cost. I dont wanna spend no more than $2000 on the travel and stay expenses. I already tried looking up cruises out of Galveston (we stay in houston) but they leave the day before we get married or almost a week later. Any suggestions on where we should go? By the way, she would prefer something romantic and tropical. *Serious answers only please* |
Question: How much should you spend on a wedding gift? Posted: 13 Aug 2015 11:50 AM PDT My best friend is getting married and I'm the best man. This is the first time I've been to a wedding and also the first time I've been in a wedding. I've been looking at their registry and I'm not sure how much I should spend. I can afford everything on their registry I'm just not sure how much you're supposed to spend on a wedding gift. |
Question: Proposing: when to ask father? Posted: 13 Aug 2015 09:57 AM PDT When should I ask my girlfriends father if I can marry his daughter? I want to buy the engagement ring next week and propose the following day. Should I ask her father before or after I purchase the ring? Should I ask him a couple weeks in advance? |

Question: I am afraid to ask a bridesmaid to be in my wedding. Help!? Posted: 13 Aug 2015 07:24 AM PDT I have planned for months to ask a friend of 2 years to be in my wedding.I even asked her husband first to make sure because he is the one that brings in the money. She is a stay at home mom of twins. They always planned to move.Which wasnt that far away.About an 8 hour drive & they can come back at any time according to the husband. But now they are moving to Vegas which is now a plane ride away. They also plan on extending their family.Even my maid of honor told me that since everyone knows about it,I have to ask her now & give her an option.I am trying to figure out how to talk to her in a nice way.I feel this is suppost to be an exciting moment, but I feel like at the same time Im lecturing her.Somehow say that I know you plan on moving & extending your family & that you will be a plane ride away.Being a bridesmaid and as my friend there will be alot of functions that happen before the wedding that I would love her to attend. But If she thinks it will be impossible & too much for her,I rather her tell me now, then tell me 2 months before the wedding that she has to back out & then I will go nuts.I also figured that maybe I should tell her not to give me an answer yet & to go home & discuss it with her husband & think about it.Even if she still says yes,Im still going to be nervous that something with come up or happen.Should I just be calm & hope for the best? What are your thoughts?Thank you so much for your help!!This is really stressing me out with alot of worry. |
Question: Speech for parents 25th anniversary? Posted: 13 Aug 2015 02:48 AM PDT My parents 25th wedding anniversary is in two days and I still haven't thought of a speech. I have severe social anxiety and am so scared to be speaking in public. I really don't know what to say in this speech. Could someone please give me samples of generic speeches that I could say. I just want this day to get over, I'm that scared about giving this speech! |

Question: How would you deal with someone who constantly criticizes your engagement ring? Posted: 13 Aug 2015 12:22 AM PDT My engagement ring is a platinum promise ring from Avianne and Company. It cost about $580.00, and I love the ring to be honest. My engagement ring isn't flashy, nor did it it cost a fortune. It was bought with love and it was given to me with love. My fiance is a full-time student, and a retired/disabled vet. $580.00 is a lot for him to spend just one item. I've never been the type of person to pay too much attention to negative people. However, I have to deal with a very negative boss, and I'm extremely tired of her criticizing my engagement ring. She constantly compares her over the top engagement ring to mine. She says that I should make my fiance buy me a "real" engagement ring, instead of the 'piece of crap that I wear on my finger'. In my opinion, engagement rings are a very personal thing, and no one has the right to criticize. I'm tired of her negative words, and her attitude. How would you deal with her? The picture is of my engagement ring. |
