Everything was perfect, except the fact that I was never in love with him. I cared about him, but I've never felt passion, lust, etc. with him. Recently we both applied for a job where I was offered X salary and she was offered 5X more. I feel really crappy about this knowing that she ll be the breadwinner, and i can t become an equal financial partner. I m not one to want to be have way more than her just for my EGO or to show that I m better but at least both of us being equal more or less. I d be fine if im making 4x and she s making 5x not really a huge deal. After applying to a lot of other jobs where I live, the salary will more or less be the same as the previous job. The only choice I have is to head into a semi guranteed governmental job where I make way more than what she would be making a month, but I wouldnt be able to marry her due to her not being a local citizen (Security reasons) I love her so much, and I want to be with her but at the same time I don t think I can live with the idea that she s the breadwinner, paying for kids bills, buying them stuff, whatever else, While im just sitting there making peanuts. I'm about to be 17 and my mom gives my sister and i the same rules (shes a year younger) we're not allowed to close the door when our boyfriends are over, we cant be under the same blanket, and the boys always have to come to our house. I'm fine with these rules, my parents house their rules, got it. BUT when my boyfriend comes over my dad checks on us literally every 4 minutes, when my sisters boyfriend is over he never checks on them? and i know bc our rooms are across the hall. They've also let her go to his house and hangout despite her being younger than me. my mom said she'll never let me go to my boyfriends house. when my boyfriend comes over they always make him leave before 12 but when her boyfriend is over he never leaves earlier than 2am. ive known my boyfriend for 3 years but have only been dating for 4 months. my sister has been dating her boyfriend for around a year but i don't feel like that matters much because im older. how do i convince my parents its unfair? when i try to talk to them my mom just gives the "because i said so" response. I'm sick of being treated like ****. |

I agreed he told me he'd send me a message once he done at work 6pm comes around he asks if I'm still willing to go and that he'd book a hotel room I agreed to it I told him give me 30 mins to get prepared he sends me a text asking was it ok to come now I said Okay then out of no where he tells me can we go next week because this is last minute he planned things late and to not be mad. I'm upset because he canceled last minute had me get ready had me thinking throughout the day we was gonna hang out should I be upset was this rude or am I overracting? |

I got emotional and told him that I took him as a brother/ teacher/ master because he taught me so much in the past about everything that I wondered about and was the first one to treat me well. He taught me boxing, how to be more social, and how stay confident and have my head up all the time. We were bros but now we can't see eye to eye anymore. What does he think of me now after I told him that? Was it weird when I said that? Is there a way that I can have his friendship back? P.S. I had no control over my emotions and just had to say the truth to him because I felt so bad about myself for doing what I did and how he didn't forgive me. They are now moving away in a month and I am heartbroken by the fact that I will not be able to see them anymore as I have grown to love them as my own children. They were about 5-6 weeks old when I found them. At the time I knew I couldn't keep them both so I figured I could at least keep the male. Except that I fell in love with both and I felt bad separating them so ended up just keeping them. However, as time progressed, I felt that I was being selfish. For starters, I don't have a job at the moment; I'm a freelance animator who's been struggling to get a full time work. For me, money wasn't that big of an issue because I've always been good at saving, but even if I were to get a full time job, my plans are to move out and I'm not sure they can come with me. I'm currently staying with my parents and they were the ones who were mostly against me having the cats. They pressured me into getting rid of them so I figured taking them to the shelter would be the best choice. I had it planned out for weeks, but when the time came I was not prepared for it at all. I hadn't realize how attached I was to them and I just broke down and cried in front of everyone there. It was so embarrassing but I really do love them. This week, I saw on the shelter's website that they have finally been put up for adoption. I can't help but feel guilty that they may never find a home, and remain caged for the rest of their lives. I really want them back but I read somewhere that due to me signing the paperwork, I will not be able to get them back. I feel awful. |

Posted: 21 Aug 2015 05:52 PM PDT I know my mother does this with me and my siblings because she has anxiety, and, for the first time in my life, I caught myself acting like my mom in this regard (lol). The difference is I have no diagnosed anxiety, nor children of my own. But now I know how she probably feels. This happened to me when my best friend and I were on a road trip the 2 of us and it was getting late/dark and she had been driving and about 2-3 hours into the drive I started worrying on and off about crashing/death (illogically). She refuses to let anyone drive her car, but given the whole drive was 6.5 hours I kept worrying about her (and myself, but mostly her) dying. It s so silly though! Am I developing a mother-like personality that happens when you get older? lol (I m mid-20s, single). |
