Question: Popping the question? Posted: 30 Aug 2015 08:56 PM PDT Feel like it's coming close. What would be the best way to propose. Trying to keep the proposal within $5k. The $5k limit is simply for the proposal not the ring. Should I increase my limit for the proposal? |
Question: How to have a private ceremony with a reception at a later date? Posted: 30 Aug 2015 07:11 PM PDT We've decided to have a private ceremony with just our parents at a national park about 4 hours from where we live. We want to have a reception with our extended family and friends at a later date. My question is, what is appropriate? What is a good timeframe? To have the ceremony then the reception the next day, or maybe the following weekend? I don't want to wait until too long after. Should I wear my wedding dress to both occasions? Are the first dance/cake cutting/other traditions still acceptable even though most of our guests were not at the ceremony? This is definitely what my fiancé and I want, but I'd still like to make sure everyone else feels included. What other advice might you give for someone having this type of celebration? |

Question: Names for menu dishes in a Cinderella themed wedding? Posted: 30 Aug 2015 04:11 PM PDT I am helping plan my friend's sister's wedding, and the bride has chosen a Cinderella theme.. Yikes. Question: Good wedding song for brother acting as deceased father? Posted: 30 Aug 2015 03:14 PM PDT My sisters wedding is coming up and I'm take with picking out a song for us to dance to. It will be the father daughter dance as I'm walking her down the aisle and giving her away, effectively taking the place of her deceased father (we are half siblings). What's a good song for this occasion? One that conveys what she means to me (though I'm not her father, obviously). A few options would be good. |

Question: Sister is getting married...27 and haven't even dated yet, I feel feel left behind? Posted: 30 Aug 2015 05:40 AM PDT My oldest sister got married at 18 and her and her husband has been married 13 years, my sister under me is getting married in a year or two, and my baby sister is dating it feels like love will never happen for me and I'm left behind. Most of my family is dating, engaged, or married. I can't even hitch a man. I'm not an ugly woman, but the type of men I meet and date aren't losers as I find out in time. Will lie to get me and try to use me for sex. This has happened everytime, I end up hurt and than...one day I gave up and stop giving in to everyone because I don't trust easily. I have this wall up to protect myself because I'm tired of being hurt. I rather be alone than too keep getting hurt. I'm the only one in my family single... Never was they type to have a man... Just have bad luck with men. The first thing they go after is how I look rather than who I am. I tried online dating, tried blind dating, and its no luck there. I do get out some.. When I can, but I don't worry about finding a man. I guess I gave up on the ideal of love. I have no motivation or drive to be with a man. This is how hurt I've been... I try and give chances, only too keep getting hurt again and again. Advice? I don't know, can't do it...there is no motivation or drive with me at all... I haven't dated in 3 years, haven't found a man I can click with. Just done trying. I think I have gave up. I've been through some funk with some men and I'm trying to believe that good men exist. I guess I need to ask this question in 3 years. I'm not offering sex to anyone...I don't trust easily...scared of getting hurt. I can't get close to anyone...right now. No... I recently lost my mate of 6 years last year. Really hit home. Standards are not high enough tbh.. |
