Posted: 11 Aug 2015 01:01 PM PDT I recently found out my older brother (22) has been sleeping with my much older high school teacher (46). I've caught them sexting and I caught them doing it on his couch (they don't know I saw). My teacher is divorced/single, so no adultery is going on, but it's still really weird. I feel like my brother is making a huge mistake. He needs to be going out with women his own age. I feel like there's got to be something wrong if he's having a sexual relationship with a woman so much older. I'm really concerned about him. It's also incredibly weird to know they're sleeping together. Could this be bad for my brother? Why or why not? Should I talk to him about it or just pretend I don't know? Why?
Question: Why does my second cousins mother dislike me? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 12:49 PM PDT So my second cousins , well they don't like me all that much and their mother doesn't like me all that much either. I deleted her kids on facebook. Also when her daughters husband invited me on a trip to Vegas, I went off and did my own thing the entire trip. When their mother sees me, I'll walk away when she is talking to me. Or when she is talking to me I will start a conversation with someone else. I don't get why she doesn't like me all that much.
Question: Sad to see parents sacrificing and going through so much for me? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 12:38 PM PDT Recently I needed so much money to get into a good university which is a lot and my parent went through so much to arrange the fee. Like lending money and giving up stuffs they love. It just breaks me to see them going through this for me, my better future and my happiness. Is it worth it? How can I ever possibly repay what they are going through?

Question: I kicked my cousin in the balls? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 12:35 PM PDT This actually happened like 2 years ago and I recently remembered it because someone brought it up, my cousin was about 6 years old that time and he was annoying me so I kicked him in his nuts and I was dying of laughter. I kinda felt guilty afterwards but I thought it was funny as hell. Now someone said something about it and i feel really guilty, what if he becomes infertile or something? Then it's gonna be my fault, lol I hope he doesn't remember it

Posted: 11 Aug 2015 12:12 PM PDT it's very annoying, today i left my desk for about 30 minutes and then when i came back, a little girl (about 8 years old) took all of my stuff and moved them aside (messed with all of my paperwork), when i tell her nicely it's my desk she told me to share it with her. i said ok, after about 4 hours of me walking around the office sitting with my colleagues i saw her mom and told her "you have a very cute girl, she took my place but i must do my work no" she replied by saying, "i can't see the problem, she cleaned your desk". what to do with those people?
Question: My husband and I are in a wedding...but our son is not...? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 12:07 PM PDT My sister-in-law has asked me to be one of her maids and my husband (her brother) is also in the wedding. However she did not include our son. which would be fine, but she expects us to bring him to the wedding. I feel like this is kind of rude on her part. He is a small child and needs to be watched, so how are we supposed to do that if we are both in the wedding? Am I being unreasonable?
| Question: How do i Convince my dad to LET ME have a laptop? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 12:05 PM PDT My dad spent $500 on my PC. I, however do not want it anymore. | Question: How do I deal with my sister in law? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 11:56 AM PDT My wife has one sister. This sister is older than my wife and second oldest in the their family, As a result of this, the sister thinks that she is in charge. Of everything. Everywhere. She makes grand pronouncements and expects to have things done her way, If things do not go her way, she quietly and passive-aggressively exacts punishment on the offending sibling. She expects the sibling's significant others to follow along in lock step. She also supposedly suffers from depression. Her siblings are not afraid of her, but no one wants to speak up against her because there are afraid this will somehow make her spiral off into a depressive episode and "take the whole family down." This has supposedly happened before. My issue with her is that she thinks she can do whatever she wants with our children and I am supposed to just take it. She loves, for example, to take pictures of our children any time any where. One time she posted them on a family Facebook page and told me with a tone of "look what I did". The next day she tried to take photos of our kids and I stood in front of the camera but did not say anything. My wife chewed me out for doing it but I wanted to let her and my wife know that I did not approve. My question is how do I impress on my sister in law that her privileges as an aunt end where my rights and duties as a father beginn. I am sure that my wife wants me to say nothing, but I can no longer abide this. Please let me know and thank you for reading. |

Question: Why can't I be an only child? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 11:48 AM PDT I'm 16 & I had a younger sister(15), & only brother(23), & an older sister(20). U have no idea I dream about being an only child everyday of my life. & I know all u people will say the same Bullsh*t,"U hate ur siblings now, but u will love them & appreciate them as an adult." UGH! NO!!! That's mostly just in the stupid cheesy family cliche movies. My friends uncle & dad hated eachother. His dad NEVER talked to him once he moved & even when his uncle died, he didn't even show up to his funeral & didn't care. That's how I feel it will be like for me, if my siblings all died, I will NOT show up to their funeral & won't even acknowledge their existence. The only reason I'm acknowledging their existence now, cuz I live in a house with them 24/7 & constantly annoying!!! So its impossible not to think about them. but Once I move out, I will not ever mention their names ever & tell everyone I am an only child. I know u might say its normal for siblings to be annoying, YES! But I hate the fact that I have to always share everything & can't go to the mall with my friends(etc.) cuz my mom has no money, cuz my siblings ask for money WAY MORE OFTEN than me from my mom. I sweat to GOD! My 2 older siblings are losers, both over 20 & still live with their mom, UGH!!! Move out already u f*ckin waste of space. I just hate the sound of their voices, so damn annoying.

Question: My boyfriend's brother scares me? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 11:39 AM PDT I've been dating my boyfriend for nearly three years now. He and his brother don't really get along but they put up with each other's existence. They're half-brothers sharing the same mom, which is why I think they don't get along too well. His brother has come onto me before but I've always shaken off his advances. Well that took a turn. Last night I was staying at my boyfriend's apartment while he was working a late shift. His brother was staying the night too, which is why I decided to keep to myself in the bedroom. Well I decided to grab a bite from the kitchen and he followed me back to the bedroom. He pushed me on the bed, climbing on top of me and whispered some nasty phrases in my ear before he proceeded to LICK my face. I was shaking as he just stared at me. He then felt me up before leaving the room. I've been shaken up since then and haven't said much of anything to my boyfriend since then. I know he's just waiting for his brother to snap so that he can completely kick him out of his life. I'm just scared if I tell my boyfriend what happened, his boyfriend will come back and 'finish the job'. I don't know what to do.

I have no plans for the future and no dream job that i wanna have. I have no parents and my fosterparents are always mad at me for no reason. | Question: I had a drunken one night stand with my nephew-in law. What now? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 11:06 AM PDT Ok so i have understood that my consequences are extremely bad but I need help. So the other night I had a large argument with my husband who is never there for me and my son anymore. So that night i decided to go drinking with my friends to relive the pain i felt that from the argument ( my son was at a sleepover and my husband was at work late). However that night, I drank more than usual i got very lonely. I went to my nephew-in law who was visiting and living in a hotel. I went in and seduced him and we ended up having sex. The next morning I got up and we realized our mistake and we decided never to talk about it. But now things are very awkward and I want us to have the same loving relationship we had before even though things are different now. What can I do to at least ease things? NOTE: (my nephew is 23 and 46 so it is still legal as we are in laws as well and not blood related.) |
Question: I really want to drop out of high school to get married but my parents won't let me? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 11:04 AM PDT My boyfriend is 21 and is in college to become an accountant. We planned on getting married after I graduate high school but I want to do this now. I don't want to waste another year in school studying about things I don't care about and will never use. I don't even want to go to college. All I want to do is marry my boyfriend, have 4 children, be a housewife and have a pretty house in a nice suburb somewhere. My parents are concerned and say that I need to go to college to "find myself", whatever that means and that it's important for me to have a "career". They don't want me to get married yet. They think I should date other guys while in college. My parents also said I'm too young to be thinking about marriage.
Question: How to deal with family that gangs up on me? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 10:45 AM PDT This has been happening for a few years now and finally I am done with everything they have put me through. I have an older brother who s 23, a twin brother who s my age, (15) and two parents. Since I am the only girl, my brothers seemed to make it their job to make my life a living hell. My twin brother hits me, calls me names like, *****, ugly, disgusting, etc...but it s mostly the first name. He always seems to call me a ***** every other day that it made me hate the word with a passion. And my big brother always takes his side. Earlier today, my twin brother and I got into a huge fight and throughout the argument, he said "You re such a *****." "Nobody likes you" and I got so mad and hurt that I locked myself in the bathroom, crying to myself. After a few minutes of silence, I heard my big brother say to my twin that it s my fault, and that I m always starting things. And that hurt me so much because I never say anything to them and somehow it s my fault. When my mom comes home, they tell her what happened, and she yells at me saying how everything I do is wrong, etc... and she always takes their side. She even told me it was because she loved her boys more than me. So can someone please help me? How can I deal with a family that always gangs up on me? I feel so unloved and lonely all the time. I feel like have no one.
Question: I don't want to go on vacation with my family... do you think that I am being petty? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 10:45 AM PDT So, I come from a family of 9 children including myself. 4 step brothers, 3 step sisters, and one little half sister. So, basically everyone has the same biological father except me. But that is still my Dad since age 6, just not who I came from. Anyways, we are all going on a trip soon to close out the summer and a few days ago, we were talking about who's going to room with who. My sister and I want to room together. We're both girls and we're the same ago. We have always been close. When I told Dad that I want to room with Krystal, my sister. He says no and that I am going to room with Trina, my older sister because there are only two beds in Krystal's room and she's gonna room with Cat, my other older sister. I told him that I could sleep on the floor and he said 'Why would you sleep on floor when you have your own queen size bed?" Then it got a little heated and I got emotional because I don't want to sleep with Trina. I want to sleep with Krystal. Not anyone else. Then later, my Mom comes to me and she basically yelled in my face to saying, "You and Kris don't need to be together all the time. Give her, her space. In about 3 years she's going to get tired of you so you might as well get used to not being with her all the time and save yourself the heart ache in the future." She said, that we are going to bed in the same building and it makes me look extra by crying. I don't think that anyone understands. I love my sister and I refuse not share a room. Am I being extra?
Question: Its been over 2/3 years since my grandma and grandpa passed away.? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 10:36 AM PDT I just don't feel as if "time passing helps" Its no different since when i first heard the news. Im struggling so bad. Does anyone have any advice?

Question: My memories with my dad make me cry? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 10:25 AM PDT my mom and my dad separated long ago but everything is fine now he still gives us money and support us and we still are in contact with each other I chat with him and sometimes call. Just my childhood memories with him is awesome and it makes me cry like the time we played video games together. It was so cool. He is a great dad but he cheated. But I still love him.
Question: I'm still sad that my father left us after getting caught cheating? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 10:15 AM PDT Even though I still am in contact with him I am still sad that he cheated on my mother. He still sends us money and he is supporting me ln my youtube videos and he is even gonna help me buy a new pc and he sometimes visit me and my sister. Last time he visited was I think when I was 10-11. I am now 14. He is a great dad but I am really sad he had to cheat. I still remember the fight and when I was young I had no feelings but now when I think of it it makes me emotional. But everything is great now the friendship of my mom and dad and he still supports us. But it makes me sad he cheated and he is a great father.
Question: My father forbid me from listening to Odd Future.Advice? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 10:11 AM PDT Im 12 and im a Tyler, The Creator/OFWGKTA fan. So i was in my hotel because my cousin was in town, so I just listening to music (Assmilk) then my dad wanted to be funny by trying hear what i was listening to so he took earphones out of my ear so he can listen to it and that's embrassing, then got the nerve to ask my cousin who is Tyler, The Creator and I dont know why but some of my family goes against of what i like, and after that, me and my sister was going to call him and during the facetime call he bring up the subject to embarass me and he wants my sister to delete some of the songs on my ipod and many more and that pisses me off and it's censorship and i dont know what to do
Question: Changing my name... concerned. Need father's permission? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 10:05 AM PDT I am going to be legally changing my name from Lauren Hallie Ditzhazy to Hallie Lauren Rees, and with any luck this will occur just BEFORE my 18th birthday so that I will not have to pay the $35 or so to change it on my drivers license which I get on my 18th birthday... Appealing to court and posting an ad in the paper is already going to cost enough, and I have a puppy to support xD I want to change my name after many years of therapy/medication/self-growth in coming to terms with my father's neglect and the Ditzhazy family's oppressive religious force and severe trend of life-ending substance addictions. I plan to take my current middle name, and great-grandmother on my mother's side's first name as my own as well as my mother's maiden name. Replacing my father's family surname and the first name he selected for me, Lauren. Unfortunately, I've found in some places that the state offices require permission from BOTH parents to approve a change in name... which would be entirely impossible in my case. My mother approves, my father does not in anyway; even the single time I hinted at changing my name back when I was 14. Also, might anyone have any tips for making the transition of a name change publicly? I'm not a shy person by any means, but I don't want to stir the pot with any of my family (aside from my dad) or set out an image for myself around my community as the girl with daddy issues. And finally, I'd love to hear some opinions on my (soon to be) new name!
Question: Can I start to get my child support? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 09:52 AM PDT I'm in college on campus. For a while was paying my phone bill and my tuition. this summer we had a fall out and she told me not to come home and that she isn't going to support me at all. I pay for my own food, pay my own bills, and now I have to pay for my college bill. There were times that I came home for a weekend before because she needed help with my younger brother or our foreign exchange student, but I haven't been home in quite some time. And even when I was there she never supported me. Now that school is starting up I have no idea how I'm going to pay for a 5,000 school bill. I'm not sure what I need to do to get the support.
Question: My mom treats me like i destroyed her life? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 09:49 AM PDT My mom and dad got divroced a few years ago because my dad was a horrible person who cheated and lied etc. so my mom dated a few guys and now shes with this one guy who recently broke up with her but now shes back with him which kinda upset but if i said that to her she would go CRAZY and blame me for apperently not wanting her to be happy even tho it just upsets me because i dont wanna see her hurt again or lose her because all she does is go out with him and drop everything else. When she is with this guy she is always angry at me if i say one negative comment about her leaving to go out even tho its her vacation time which is meant to spend with family. She often verbally abuses me saying things like im no good and cursing and swearing and saying im the reason her other eelationships didnt work out i dont know what to do i cant defend myself i have no one cuz my sister automatically agrees with my mom because my mom treats her so well... Im so stuck she also tells me how my boyfriend wont stay with me for long and it causes me to get paranoid that hes gonna leave me which causes me to get upset towards him and worry .. please help and tell me if its actually me thats the problem because i honestly dont see what i did wrong thanks so much xxx.
Question: What is the best way to kill myself? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 09:37 AM PDT I don't want to leave a mess. I don't want to be all mangled for my poor mother to see and remember for the rest of her life. I also would prefer for it to not be painful. I suffer from a very painful and debilitating disease. I am still undergoing some testing, but my prognosis is pretty Grimm. I have become such a burden on my family, fiance, son and friends. I don't want to have to do this to them anymore. Much less live with such excruciating pain for the rest of my life. I'm only 31. However, I have decided that if these new tests and final test deliver no hope, that I am finally going to throw in the towel, and let everyone move on with their lives. Just looking for some advice please. Thank you.

Question: How do i make my parents chill about me hanging out? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 09:20 AM PDT alright so i'm a 17-yo girl. i've always been really responsible, i think twice about everything... my parents KNOW i won't take any risk. But each time i have to go out at night (by night i mean from 9pm to 2am haha) they freak out and ask me where i go, when, who i'm going with, how i'll go back home, at what time, etc., and they won't stop sending texts like 'is everything ok??' i know i can't complain because they let me go (technically) and that's normal that they care but it's really annoying like i can't appreciate a single moment with friends without them calling me 100x in a row (needless to say that they get really pissed off when i don't answer in a second lol) result is i cant attend big parties or meet friends at a random hours because they're constantly treating me like a child. i know i sound like a dumb teen rn lol but really that's becoming a problem since ALL of my friends are quite free and can go anywhere without even asking their parents, and i'm here stressed out by my parents, obliged to check my phone every 2 minutes. + they won't let me come back home on my own (by bike) (i live in a safe neighbourhood) so i depend on them to drive me back and i have to fit onto their own schedule (if they decide to go to bed by 11pm, then i have to be back home at 11pm.. lol) PLEASE how can i make them chill and let me live my own life??? (i would add i'll turn "of age" in less than a year since i live in france so it would be time for me to get responsible..)

Question: Do you think I was wrong for snapping at my mom? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 09:03 AM PDT My mother goes on all the time about the Kardashians. Like most people, she hates on them and complains about them. While at the same time picking up magazines and reading about them at work. Well today she was watching the news and they mentioned the Kardashians and off she went again about how stupid they were and how they were looking for publicity. I said "Well it's people like you who sit here and watch this crap that gives them the publicity, Turn off the TV!" She said "How am I giving them publicity? I'm just one person watching the TV, I don't make a difference" and then I said back "Well you watch this crap and then you spread it by word of mouth to other people and thus the cycle continues, they get more famous and I have to hear about them more" She said "I only tell you two guys, nobody else" I said "Yeah and quite frankly there is not a single shred of fiber in my being that could give any less of a d*mn about these stupid people, when you mention them it goes in one ear and right out the other, I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THEM! PERIOD!" She again "Fine, I won't talk to you about it anymore. I'll just tell -brother-." I "Good. But still, as long as you keep watching their news stories, reading their magazines, and even mentioning their name their going to continue to grow - you're part of the problem!" She "How am I going to help them grow, I don't make a difference, I'm 1 person" I "Well and the ocean is made of a billion individual drops" After that she quit talking to me - and once again - she is angry at me. Saying I yelled at her again (Which I'm not denying - I've been on serious edge here lately about everything) But Am I the one in the wrong here for snapping off about this whole ordeal?
Question: My mum hates my sister? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 08:53 AM PDT Hi I'm 23 and my sister is 15. When she was first born I remember my mum holding her at arms length and just being really distant. I was 8 at the time and obviously didn't really understand. My mum loved me though and she'd always take me out and never take her out and she'd always give me affection but she'd never give her affection. When I finally understood that something wasn't right my sister was 5. She was always shoved away and stuff. I was 13 so I was growing up physically and mentally and I remember telling my mum to treat her the same as she treated me but my mum told me to go away. So I made the effort with my sister and treated her really well to make up for the way our mum treated her and now me and her are really close. I can see that my mum hurts her feelings because my sister will go all quiet or just hold my hand really tightly or hug my body really tight. So usually I hug her and tell her that I love and want her which usually makes her feel better. When she was younger and had nightmares, she'd come and sleep in my room and she wouldn't go to my mum because she'd hit her. I resent my mum so much for doing this to her and if I could have my sister live with me then I would. For now I just make sure that I see her for a couple of hours on the weekdays and then take her out Saturday. How do I comfort her? I can see she's hurt by my mum rejecting her.
Question: How do i tell my mum to let go of us in a nice way? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 08:45 AM PDT There are 7 of us and im the youngest at 18 and she is literally the most overprotective person in the world. She makes my brother who has gone on holiday text her just to know he safely got there and it gets worse. She makes my dad walk to the bus stop when its dark so i get home safe and he is pretty much more vulnerable than me to any danger. It is like nice to have someone care for you but she cant trust me alone in my house as shes scared that i will be scared to be alone and i want to tell her to just let go because we are literally all adults now and it is not necessary
Question: How to cope better helping my dad with his work? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 08:43 AM PDT In short my father works with large concrete drills and sometimes he needs me to help him. Usually just for few hours and then just once every other week. But now we have to work for three full days in nothing but the rain and the mud and i do not get payed. The reason for that is because my parents have done some huge favors for me. Anyways i am always glad to help him out and i will continue to do so but i really loath his job and was wondering how i could cope better. I do have a job of my own but i'm on my summer break right now, hence the extra work. Actually i pay for all my food, hot water and electricity so it's only the roof part that i don't pay for. And i was asking for advice coping with a boring job, if you can't do that then what are you doing here?
Question: Dad thinks boyfriend offering me rides everywhere is him being controlling? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 08:42 AM PDT I don't have air conditioning in my car, which I don't care about because I would rather just roll the windows down anyway. But my boyfriend doesn't like me driving places in this heat without air, so he offers to take me to work for like $5 for gas sometimes. Cool with me! I hate driving! I tell my dad this and he said, "watch him on that. That's him trying to be controlling." Whaa? How?
Question: Why is my mom being soo cheap and stingy? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 08:41 AM PDT I have a mom whom I love with all my heart! In fact, I would die for her if I have to to save her life but she is soo cheap. I asked my mom to get me sandals for school and she insist Wes re broke and that we have no money. We used to drink water that was bought but now she says we should drink tap water. When my dad gives her the money she keeps it and gets herself a bag. Whenever you try to talk to her about it, she yells at you and says "I pay the bills, I do what I want. I don't wanna sound disrespectful so I just walk away. It's getting outta hand and now she wants us to drink a carton of milk for 2 months. Simply impossible. Please help me!
Question: Just stuck my sister in for being a drug addict.? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 08:38 AM PDT My 41 yr old sister recently split up with her man and moved back to my mum and dads with her untrained dog. My sister has been addicted to anti-psychotic medication (which she gets off a friend) and different opiates for as long as I can remember and recently found out she takes speed daily. When I found this out I stopped my daughter going to my mums while I'm working and found a different babysitter. today I went to my mums and found my daughters dolls pram saturated in dog pee. My mum came in my car and I was so angry I said my sister is a speed freak and can't look after herself or train her dog. Many people have commented on her hyper behaviour and most of us are aware of her addictions, but my mum and dad are kept in the dark. My mum has been interrogating my brother and he's now angry that I've dragged him into it. She uses my mum and dad for everything ranging from food to money (she's never worked a day in her life) Am I wrong to not want to have to cover up for her? My brother and his wit are disappointed in me for opening my mouth but I'm so sick of all of us having to lie on her behalf. Did I do the wrong thing by saying something and what should I do now!!?
Question: How do I tell my parents I hate playing football? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 08:20 AM PDT I am going into 10th grade and I am playing for my highschool team and my parents made me play and I absolutely hate it and they never listen to me and I got screamed at my parents over it and idk what to do
Question: I want to cut ties with him. I can't. But I need to know how.? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 08:04 AM PDT My father is a piece of ****. Before you make any assumptions, let me explain. Growing up he was emotionally abusive towards my sister and I, sometimes physically. It was to the point where I feared to make a mistake or anger any adult, especially my dad, because I thought I would be yelled at. It caused me to have anxiety up until my late teens, and that Is because I finally sought therapy in secrecy from my own family. He is a sexist asshole as well. I remember him bitching to me about my mother not making him something to eat when he comes home from work, but he didn't get that my mother also worked long hours as a waitress and she doesn't come home until late at night. Therefore he expected my sister or I to do things around the house for him. He was a drunk as well. It was so bad that he had a little stint in jail because he got enough DUI's. It was so bad that once he was my only source of transportation to get home from tennis games or practices that he wouldn't show up because he was passed out in bed. He also smoked marijuana... I knew this for sure because I used to steal some from him so I can smoke some. I know that he also had affairs with other women. He would sometimes leave the house without letting anyone know and he wouldn't return until the next morning or very late at night. Even at the last job I worked at, my coworker found out that I was his daughter and he explained to me that he did drugs and had an affair with his mom.
Question: My 17 year old daughter is extremely spoiled? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 08:02 AM PDT My wife absolutely spoils our 17 year old daughter Danielle rotten. She only goes to Mom with her wishes because she knows I'll say " no" because they're so unreasonable. She has no rules. Likes staying out at all hours of the night, comes home drunk, she's never had a job, sleeps until 1, doesn't do chores. Here's what she does, she asks Mom, if Mom doesn't immediately give in, she whines. I'll try and talk to my wife, she just says " Oh c'mon, she's a kid, why not let her…". I'm so lost, what do I do?
Question: Please give me some feedback on my plans for my mom's birthday? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 07:53 AM PDT I was hanging out with my cousin at my aunt and uncle's house and we were looking through their photo albums. They had several pictures of my mom when she was in high school. One was of mom in her cheer leaders uniform. She sure looked cute in that picture. Another was her when she was homecoming queen. She was gorgeous. I think she was the prettiest female I have ever seen. Was she ever beautiful? My aunt said "Did you know your mom was homecoming queen all 4 years she was in high school"? I had never seen these pictures and mom had never mentioned she was a cheerleader and homecoming queen. I asked my aunt to make copies of these pictures for me and she did. Can anyone think of a reason she would not tell her daughter about her being a home coming queen and a cheer leader? Mom has a birthday coming up next week and is having a party and many of her friends will be here. I want to make a large birthday card that say "Happy Birthday to my beautiful mother". "I am proud of you". "Your daughter". I would like her friends to see how beautiful she was as homecoming queen. I plan to attach these pictures to the birthday card. Mom has NOT gained a lot of weight and still looks the same as her high school pictures. She is still beautiful. Please give me some feedback what you think of my plan.

Question: Why do my parents treat me like a little child? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 07:41 AM PDT I'm the third oldest out of my mum and dad's nine children. My older brothers have moved out and now live with their girlfriends. Ever since the second oldest child moved out, my parents have been treating me like a little child. Whenever I complain about something (but it's quite rare when I complain), my mum and dad say things like "stop being a wuss and get over it". But when my younger siblings complain, they help with their complaints. Even my twin brother gets listened to. When we eat dinner or lunch and when I drop something down me (this is rare as well), my parents treat me like a baby by saying "awwww, baby needs a bib" and on occasions, they actually give me a bib, which I throw away. As well as this, I have to go to sleep earlier than anyone else, including my youngest sibling who's nearly 7 years old. Our house is quite a big house by the way. Even when I have plans to go out, my mum and/or dad want to be a chauffeur. They don't do this with my twin brother or any of my teenage siblings. I don't understand why my mum and dad are treating me like a little kid. They never treated me like this until my oldest siblings left. Why are they treating me like this? I don't act like a baby, and I'm not a baby either.
Posted: 11 Aug 2015 07:22 AM PDT I have trouble with this (with anyone) because it just feels...rude. Lately I've been have problems with family and my father is trying to push me to do things I'd rather not (albeit I don't know my dad I avoid him). Why is it so hard to say no? *by things I don't mean anything inappropriate, in case anyone took that out of context.

Question: Graduating High School at 18 (almost 19)...? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 06:57 AM PDT I just turned 17 and I am entering my junior year of high school. After eighth grade, I attended boarding school due to family issues that needed to be resolved. That year essentially was a gap year; I began freshman year when I returned back home. I am now doing very well in high school. I take all of the top classes and have no trouble getting straight A's. I feel like I am easily ready for college and I want to pursue a career in either business or medicine. The problem is that I'm now a year behind and my family situation isn't any better. I talked to my guidance counselor and apparently my school doesn't allow students to skip junior year or take community college courses while attending hs to double up on credits. I was advised to attend college after my junior year, but then I won't have a high school diploma and I'll forfeit several full-ride opportunities. Is graduating high school a year later than I normally would've really that big of a deal? I know that it seems that I have everything going for me, but sometimes I just feel like I'm behind and stuck with people who are almost a year younger than I am...

My whole family and all my friends are in Maryland, but my little sister is like my best friend, and me and my mom are really close.. I just really don't know what to do. |

Question: Should I cut my grandpa out of my life? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 06:17 AM PDT I'm 22 years old and I never met my grandpa before until May. I was estranged from him because of what he has done to my mom and other relatives. He used to abuse my mom growing up such as locking her in closets, scaring her and beating her. She would also watch my grandpa handcuff my grandma and beat her as well. He's known throughout the family for having a temper. I've been told that he tried to take my inheritance and he was mean to my great grandpas care takers. Of course, I wanted to be fair and give him a chance and see him for myself and I didn't listen. I haven't told my mom that I met him already. When I met him for the first time, he was nice to me but, honestly, I don't feel a connection with him. He is just another old man to me. He insisted on sending me these beads and I told him I didn't want them but, he sent them anyway. He is always calling and texting me all the time & I don't feel comfortable with him calling and texting a lot and I want my space. He also bashes my mother and it makes me feel uncomfortable. I feel that he is kinda manipulative and he never sticks with anything. When he calls he is always asking me how stuff is at home and I tell him it's fine and he doesn't believe me. I know my grandma has made allegations that I'm abused and that is insulting to me knowing that I have never been abused. I almost regret contacting my grandpa. I wish I would have listened to my mom and other relatives about him. I'm starting to see who he really is When I don't call him back, he freaks out and calls my grandma and she tells me to call him. By the way, they are divorced. How would I go about cutting him out of my life? Would I write a letter or should I just do it like starting with closing my PO Box, blocking his number etc..?
Question: Should I live at home or on-campus when I go to college? Posted: 11 Aug 2015 06:11 AM PDT I want to live on-campus when I go to college because, although I love my family, I want to gain some sort of independence. Also, they drive me cray. I'm getting yelled at over some of the stupidest things and when I try to do something good or helpful, something negative is pointed out. I screwed up big time this past May and I have spent all summer trying to show them that I've learned and that I can be trusted again but nothing is working. they all treat me normally but when they are mad at me they bring up some of it and it sucks and is pretty hurtful. I want to live on-campus so I can get away from it and move on from my own mistakes because I cannot accomplish that here, but I feel like I am being guilted into staying with them. My mom is saying if I stay here my father will still have to pay child support which would help them all out and that I don't want to have to pay for a dorm on-campus and blah blah blah. I partly feel like I owe it to them to stay here but I don't know if that is right or not. I feel guilty for thinking about leaving. I need some advice here, please help me out!
