Question: As a wedding planner how do you stand out from your competition? Posted: 27 Aug 2015 07:59 PM PDT I am needing some help with coming up with ways to stand out from other wedding planners If you are/ were a bride what do you wish your wedding planner would have offered you? I want to offer my brides something bold for example, invitation designer can offer their potential clients 50 free save the date cards, a florist could offer their potential bride a free toss bouquet, a DJ maybe a special lighting. As a wedding planner what could I offer a potential bride that other wedding planners don't? |

Posted: 27 Aug 2015 04:44 PM PDT We have been dating 2 years. It s his cousin. He wants to give a $200 gift in total. Is this selfish on his part? I don t feel he appreciates me. I ve also invited him to many family things not as big as a wedding but birthdays and such and have never asked him to contribute to the gift. But I have always included his name on the card. |

Question: Will ductape support the weight of fabric and or string lights? Posted: 27 Aug 2015 09:59 AM PDT I have a colonnade arch made of plastic for the altar. I need a way to attach the fabric to the back side of the arch as well as lights and wonder if ductape is strong enough to support the weight of a lightweight polyester fabric. |

Question: Sashing the bride dilemma? Posted: 27 Aug 2015 09:32 AM PDT My mother and I originally came up with the idea to have her and my future mother-in-law find a couple of small items that represent our two families and then present those items to my fiance and I at our wedding in place of a unity candle or unity sand. It was a variation of a sashing the bride thing I read about that happens in scottish weddings, since my fiance wanted to wear a kilt we made this a part of the overall theme of the wedding. Sashing the bride is basically the mother of the groom welcoming the bride into her family by placing a sash of the family's tartan around the bride. Now though my mother is having trouble finding something and my fiance's mother had forgotten about the whole thing. Since I still have time to find a unity candle or put together what we need for unity sand I'm thinking I should just go with one of those instead. I have asked both my mother and his mother for their input and so far they say to do whatever I want, but I really don't care either way, i just want both to have a part in the wedding. any and all thoughts are appreciated, and thank you in advance. |

Question: Wedding Favours ideas? Posted: 27 Aug 2015 12:02 AM PDT Hi, I have an idea for favours for my wedding, but I want to expand on it a little. I was thinking a little "day after the wedding" pack. The first thing I'm thinking is a tea bag or little coffee sample.. What other things can you think of? I'm up for making things.. Maybe even a small sample of honey or a jam each? Help! :) I'd like to include things they can use and will appreciate :) |
