So I have a best friend and I've know her for many years. And there's this other girl that I've known for about two years. So I started hangin out with the girl I've know for two years. we will call her jaci. So I've been hanging out with jaci for these last few days. well my best friends hates her for stupid reasons. im 13 and I'm having some difficulty feeling comfortable with my name. It's just kinda bothered me since forever really. I was born with a unique name I would say, it sounds really pretty and its on my birth certificate, passport, school records everywhere but the thing is as I was growing up my parents called me by a different name and I've settled with that nickname So I grew up with it my friends family refer to me as that name but it kinda bothers me knowing that I have a name that I hardly use kinda like a secret name except everybody knows. So i have a friend thats 15, that i go to highschool with and he gets abused. Hes living in a group home for boys right now. That is because both his parents are dead beats his dad beat him and his mom locked him out of the house the other day and told him. "Im sorry but i dont love you. I never have. I hope you could find something that makes you happy." today at school he told me this and i literally almost cryed. He had been living with a 22 year old guy he knows. He eventualy got cought and was taken by child protective services where life is horrible hes not even allowed to own a bicycle or an ipod. Now hes doing drugs (marijuana, spice and cocaine.) how can i help him? I dont want my friend to ruin his life. I truly care about him. What should i do?

Basically my situation is I'm at a school and I'm friends with these girls who I get and I love, but this one girl in their group and I really don't get along, she's bullied me and spreads rumors about me to everyone, so I'm not in their group, I'm in a group with a bunch of really sweet girls, but they don't really share interests with me. I have the option to change schools to a school where I know some girls and I'd probably have a good experience at, but there is a chance that the girl I don't like will leave the school I'm currently at, and if that happened I could be in the same group as my friends, but if I don't switch schools next year I can't switch at all. I just feel like I'll regret switching, but I don't want to stay at a school with a girl who bullies me. And i know it doesn't really matter what group you're in but I just want to have a couple of girls who I trust more than anything and I want to have like a tight knit group and I can't have it at that school unless this girl leaves, but if she does the school would be perfect for me. There's this family friend i've been seeing since january. Whenever im with him, i feel relaxed and happy. But my cousin(my cousin's boyfriend is his best friend so they are really close) found out and told me to stay away from him. She said he is a manipulator. She also told me about his past. I have these two different groups of friends at work and in uni and there are around 5 of us in both of them. I find that everyone is always so indecisive. For example when we all hang out, they always look at me for answers like what to do next, where to go for lunch or dinner. I feel like I always have to be the one making the choices for everyone. Because no one else seems to take the lead. I dont really consider myself as an Alpha male because when Im with my best friend, he always makes the choices and I find it easier to follow. My best friend is leaving our school this year. We promised we would stay in touch but honestly that hasn't happened. There were no suprises on my birthday. It was my 21st. No one called me, emailed me, or texted me on my birthday. There were no balloons, NO CAKE. I have alcohol for the first time but it tasted gross and I didn't even get drunk after drinking a bunch of Tequila and whiskey. I spent the day with my only friends who are a married couple, who are in their 40's. They bought and cooked the food I wanted: crab, lobster, steak BUT they defrosted it too fast to where it was rubbery and tough and had no flavor. They took me shopping and spent $100 on me, but it wasn't really fun. They didn't feel well and didn't really talk to me much. It wasn't like a celebration. They bought me wine that tasted disgusting. Even the movies we rented weren't fun/good. And yes, it was nice that they spent so much on me, and I'm lucky but what hurt was that there were no surprises or anything memorable or sentimental--not even any photos taken! In the past, I got cake and letters and emails and a party but this time, my 21st b-day, not much except material things. there is this tutor I worked with in my community college for my math class. My class ended but I attend a university now but she is there too. (which I already knew but I didn't know she was there when I was) She saw me one day and she came up and chatted with me. I still see her on campus sometimes and we chat. She is about 28 and I am 22. Ok so there's this girl I really don't like, and im trying to not dislike her (its not that she herself did something against me but she didn't stop it and she was somewhat involved) but the only thing hating her is doing is upsetting me (I now have classes with her) and seriously hurting me stomach. 8 months ago I started dating my SO. She was my classmate. After sometime passed I started to neglect my friends unintentionally. They were my classmate too. They said I could not find the balance between the time I spend with my friends and my girlfriend. My girlfriend was very jealous of my best friend. She thought that there was something between us. I acted very idiotic and told this to my best friend. I don't know why I did that I probably did it because I was curious about how she'll react. My SO doesn't know this I couldn't tell her. Back in high school, my chemistry teacher and I instantly clicked & my friends sometimes teased me for being his "wife"/favorite student. We even met up about once a week during his prep period to vent to each other about our personal lives/ whatever's troubling us. Now here's the super skeptical part, he's looked at my boobs quite often. I just started high school three days ago, and I hate it so much. Most of my friends are going to a different high school, so now it's just me and my two best friends. Growing up I attended a private school all the way from pre-k to middle school . A week ago I started school at a brand new public high school where none of my best friends attend. Ive tried to make friends but there's one problem in every of my classes. See, the way my classes work is they put us either in groups or let us sit anywhere we want. This would be great if everyone in all my classes didnt know each other. So when I'm placed with a group of kids they usually are trying to talk to their friends in other groups or just complain about not being with their friends. And when we can decide who we want to sit with I'm always the kid without a partner. I have done all things people have recommended. I act nice, dress well, take showers daily, etc. I act funny and do make some people laugh. My teachers also really like me . I'd be alright with this but literally sitting by myself at a table playing on my phone is getting to me. How do I make friends with these sort of ordeals? I have signed up for clubs I'm interested in but they don't start for another month.

I'm a 15 year old guy, and tomorrow's my first day at high school as a sophomore. While it sucks that Summer vacation's over, I'm extremely nervous. I'm just so tired of getting these texts from her...I don't know how to respond anymore and i've been so annoyed I just want to explode. She keeps texting me, "I need to lose weight" or "I'm bored" and always uses the crying emoji...its been so overused I'm not sure if she's really sad or not. I'm a 17 year old guy and I've been friends with this dude named Jim since kindergarten. I didn't really go over his house until I was about 7 though. His mom has always been mean to me. The first instance I could remember is when I was 9 and I was over his house. Me and Jim playing catch with a football and I kept dropping it. She started making fun of me calling me a sissy and a little homo. Then she grabbed it off me and said I was pathetic and she was embarrassed for me and took it in the house. So I stopped going over there until I was about 16. This time she was nice to me at first but after a while she started being mean again. Last week was the last time I was over his house. He invited a bunch of friends over for a pool party and to stay over. All his football buddies were there so his mom was outside hanging out with us. She kept insulting me and making fun of me so they would laugh. Then when ever everyone was talking she would say stuff like "nobody cares" to me. Finally Jim told her to stop and they started arguing. And finally she said "ok" and told me to " get the f:ck off my property" and she made me walk home at 2:30 in the morning in a rough ghetto neighborhood because I live on the other side of town. The next day Jim apologized for his mother and I acted like it was no big deal. But I'm still very pissed about it. I just feel so disrespected. It's like his mom still thinks she's a teenager and tries to fit in with the cool kids. Update: I have never done anything for her to hate me either. The same thing happened to my buddy Jeff that used to go over there. He's honestly one of those computer nerds but honestly there's nothing wrong with that. My friend keeps complaining about such small things and it's so annoying. I've haven't been able to make that many friends since middle school. I'm a sophomore now. I've always had people "around" though. Like I've never eaten lunch alone or anything. Until now. I just transferred schools and have been at my new school 3 days. I've made no friends and eat lunch by myself. I moved to a new state this summer and i am starting in a new high school. I am going to an orientation soon but there will be a lunch @ the orientation and i know all the kids are going to sit with their friends and i dont know anyone at all i dont know who to sit with. But if you say anything back you are an asshole. How do you deal with these people. I usually ignore them bit sometimes you just wanna put them in their place.

I moved to a new city for a job about a year ago, I m 25 but I m finding it incredibly difficult to connect with the young people in my office. They are obsessed with partying. They spend all week planning out which bars they are going to go to, and spend all weekend and each week night at different bars staring at each other and getting drunk. They have no hobbies other than drinking, aside from two of the guys who surf occasionally. It s gotten to the point where I m turning down lunch invitations and happy hour offers because I just can t stand to hear them talk for 2 hours about getting drunk. And by no means am I a stick in the mud, I enjoy going out every once in awhile, I was in a sorority in college and partied 4 days a week basically, but this is taking it to a whole new level. I don t know what to do. Should I suck it up and try to make an effort to hang out with them even if I m miserable around them? Or is it better to just be alone?

I HAVE BEEN TO A WATER PARK BUT ONCE IN MY LIFE. I WENT WITH MY AUNT, MY COUSIN, AND MY BELOVED SISTER. BUT THAT WAS THREE YEARS AGO, AND I REMEMBER NOT WHAT TO DO WITH MY TOWEL. I NEED NOT WORRY ABOUT MY SHOES, FOR MY AUNT GAVE ME A PAIR OF WATER SHOES, BUT MY FRIEND MOST LIKELY WILL BE WEARING FLIP-FLOPS. WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH OUR TOWELS, AND WHAT SHOULD SHE DO WITH HER FLIP-FLOPS?

I think he will be tired after having 6 inch and footlong dics up his bum.

Me and this guy named Tom were supposedly friends. We worked together on the same team at this finance company for the past year. We were having issues on the business side of things the past few months. We talked about these business issues more in depth and he was like I hope we can make it work. Then a few days after that I sent Tom a text message about what it means to be a friend etc etc. Than Tom's response to that text was that he was busy at a family funeral. Then I called Tom a day after that and he said I am going to be real with you I can't work with you anymore Ryan. I am still at the same company as Tom just recently moved to a new team. Tom took a vacation from work at the finance company right after telling me in a very brief phone call that we can't work together on the same team. He hasn't been in the office for 5 weeks. I called Tom to ask where we stand and if we are still friends or what. He wasn't answering my calls or text messages for the last few weeks that he was on vacation from work from the finance company. This is the first time that I have ever showed up somewhere unannounced Anyways I showed up at his family restaurant unannounced and Tom says to me right when I pulled into the parking lot I feel like I am being harassed right now and was borderline going to call the cops. Then I said to Tom while sitting in the car that I just came to hash things out face to face. Tom said we couldn't work together. Than I said so are we not friends? Tom said if that's what you want me to say. Then I got out of the car and Tom said I don't have time to talk my family is yelling at me to go pick up supplies. Tom and me spoke for like 30 minutes while standing in the parking lot. Tom said we just need to separate our teams from a business aspect. Tom asked me who would I like to be work with in the company. Then Tom says I will find you a new team. The conversation took a pause and I stood their 7 ft away from him and I just stared at Tom in silence. Then Tom put his arms up motioning for me to go give him a hug. I walked up to Tom and gave him a hug. Then Tom says I will still invite you out to family events like my birthday party, Christmas parties etc and Tom said we will go get dinner and a beer together just not right now at this very moment. Then Tom gave me a side hug and Tom said are we good? That happened at the very end of the 30 minute conversation in the parking lot Tom called me to tell me that he cant work with me anymore 1 day after he received my long text message about what it means to be a friend. He claims we can't work together because he needs instant results and he wasn't getting that with me.

I just started university and I went to this party. I recognized this guy and I was staring at him to figure out where he was from. When I realized that he was was my childhood best friend he had a scar that was similar to Harry Potter and that familiar grin. He approached me and said some cheesy pickup line. I may have replied with "that's not a way to talk to a lady"and I said the nickname I used to call him. He was shocked and so was I and I awkwardly walked away. I may have spoke before I thought about it because there was a chance that's not him. I asked my mom if she knows what university he goes to and she told me that he goes to mine. We haven't spoken in like 10 years. I have no idea what to do the next time I see him.

I have odour problems, i do wash and wear deodrant by the way but i sweat excessively and my friend told me he doesnt wanna be my friend anymore because of it and im really depressed and hurt?

I live in the UK and am a fitness instructor. Yesterday it was mine and my gf's 2 year anniversary so we went to this nice Mexican themed restaurant. My client who is 16 and a waitress there started to serve us. I've known her since she was 13 and I am close to her mum and regard my client like a sister. Her dad died yesterday so I was shocked that she was working. Me and my girlfriend were being extra nice to her and she obviously had other tables to serve. Some young girls were being really horrible to her and after a while she burst into tears. I got up and went over to them and said, "Leave her alone! Her dad died yesterday!" I gave her a big hug and just held her tightly while she sobbed. My girlfriend went and complained to the manager. She had mascara down her face so I wiped her tears with a tissue and sat her down with us and asked her why she was working today and she said that the manager wouldn't let her have it off even though he knew her dad died!. I just kept holding her because I figured she wanted paternal comfort and then I told the manager I was taking her home and I did. I spoke to her mum and we had dinner there instead. My client was really upset and I tried to comfort her by telling her funny jokes which worked. Did I do the right thing? How should I comfort her since me and her mum are friends?

Currently she acts like she runs the house. Doesn't keep a job. Treats him like crap. Gets away with it. And she always comes up with a puppy dog face and a crap excuse when her bf catches her. I know for a fact she snapchats nudes. Flirts with co-workers and such. But my main problem is the dirty looks i get from her when i literally have provided her everything. Food. Clothes. Moral support. What do i get? Left home. All my roomates turned against me and we both act like we tolerate eachother. Help. Everyone knows he is not happy but shes got him wrapped around her finger.

Every year a group of us rent a condo at the beach for a week. Everyone I go with are awesome except this 1 couple (let's call them jack and Diane. We are all in our early 20's. They are really bossy and controlling. Even though everyone pays the same amount for the last 4 years J&D always insist on the master bedroom. Not that I want it anyway but still. They also like to plan everything out for everyone. Like what time we wake up, where we're going to eat and what time, what time we go to the beach ect. And they don't let us give ideas. And they make us do everything as a group and get pissed when we don't. Last year everyone wanted to go out to a sports bar for lunch. J&D said no we are going to this expensive Italian restaurant. Nobody else wanted to go but did anyway. I said **** it and went to the sports bar anyway. Got a cheap burger and a few beers. And spent the rest of the day by myself bar hopping, going on roller coasters, playing mini golf, and the arcade. I had a ******* blast and it was real fun. When I got back to the condo J&D flipped on me for ruining their vacation because what ever we do "has to be a group". I ignored them because I was tired and drunk so I went to bed. Also last year we all invited over some other friends of ours that we're staying for a night near us to play cards and hang. Everyone was having a good time. Then J&D kicked them out at 10 pm because it was getting late. Who the **** are they? They don't own the place. And a few nights before they kicked everyone out Diane had people over until 4Am. Being real loud, blasting music and stuff. We didn't say anything because we didn't care because it's vacation. But when they are tired its "different" I guess.
