So I was invited to a wedding but I can't go to the church event, I read online it was rude to just attend the reception. I didn't have to rsvp or anything. So should I just go to the reception or just not go. Either way I did buy them a gift. And I am not very close to the bride and groom.

I been looking for venues for months and I just can't find the right one for my fiancee and me. We are looking for an outdoor ceremony and reception for 150 guests. We have tried many venues, but they have their wedding packages and they are really expensive. We want a BYO catering, so we could take our own food ( that we prefer) and alcohol.
