Posted: 19 Aug 2015 10:16 PM PDT I enjoy meaningful and wholesome conversations, however the mariachi band was lined up by our table and the music was blasting. I did not want to try and project my voice over because, well, fluffy comments don't really grab my attention. I am introverted, however, I do have a presence that cannot be ignored. So when I am quiet, it just makes it worse. Thank you everyone for their candid support. I guess I lost myself for a bit there but yes, I should not care about what others think about in regards to this situation. |

Question: Etiquette on invitations for wedding reception? Posted: 19 Aug 2015 08:02 PM PDT My husband & I got married recently. It was a destination wedding & fairly small. Our plan is to have a reception here back home. A lot of family & friends couldn't go to the wedding, of course.....which we understood. The reception we're planning will be pretty casual, outdoor. My question is do I need invitations? And if so..how do I word it? Since we're already married? Would nice flyers work? Thanks.... |

Question: Is The Date Worth The Wait? Posted: 19 Aug 2015 06:36 PM PDT So my fiancé and I just recently got engaged, we will have been together six years next month. (Sept. 25) We have always talked about getting married on the date that we started dating, as a way to keep it special. The problem, however, is that we are both currently enrolled in college, so as you can assume, our funds are very limited (especially for a wedding). Now by the time that September rolls around in 2017, I will have graduated and hopefully be working a well-paying job with more money. But I have never been one that likes drawn out engagements, or waiting for that fact. So holding off until the end of 2017 would not exactly be ideal for me, however, I do understand that you have to have money to plan a wedding, even with my parents planning to help as much as possible. So I guess my real question is whether or not waiting to have more money and more options for the wedding is worth the 2 year wait? |
Question: Any nice places in los angeles to get married? like the beach for example? Posted: 19 Aug 2015 04:01 PM PDT we want to get married and we arent having a wedding btw, we were thinking of hiring a photographer to snap photos while a pastor is reading our marriage vows, with the ocean behind us or a nice lake, we dont know the whole los angeles area but if anybody knows about any good places, we would really appreciate it... :) |
Question: Will a man propose if the woman is still a student or is jobless? Posted: 19 Aug 2015 03:34 PM PDT I know many women who were either students or still jobless, and they were able to get a man to propose to them. Evidently, a man will propose to a girl or woman who is still in school and has not established a career for herself, yet. Why is that? |
Question: Only romantics need answer... A marriage proposal.? Posted: 19 Aug 2015 01:01 PM PDT Ok, so I've got the rock. Now I need some ambiance. I am thinking one of the following two songs (or both?) in the background: 1. Overwhelmed by Tim McMorris ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIW5QU2lGe8 ) 2. Question by Old 97's ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEwFik6ObJs ) Now I need to figure out where... weekend vacation? nice restaurant? surprise behind something she wouldn't expect, then I walk up behind her on a knee? There's no one answer. All I know is I want to take her out for some crab and fondue after all this effort and money. lol |
Question: Should the groom match groomsmen? Posted: 19 Aug 2015 12:04 PM PDT I'm getting 2 tailored suits (navy blue and charcoal grey) before getting married. Should groomsmen and the groom match? If so, why? The bride wears a white dress, and the bridesmaids don't match her. One of the things I refuse to budge on is wearing an ill fitting rented tux/suit when I already have 2 perfectly fitting suits, either of which would work fine. |

Question: What is going to take for him to PROPOSE?! What should I do? Posted: 19 Aug 2015 07:02 AM PDT Hi, My significant other and I been best friends for 7 years now. We settle down 3 years ago. We went through almost everything there could possibly be, we've had the hardest times and still figured how to fix things and arising issues. We have a son. We are great parents. Our finances and jobs are good. I am extremely happy with him and our family, according to him and his actions so is he. He stand for our family against anything and everyone. He's amazing as a father and partner. I've brought it up and he says yes that it will happen (proposing). But damn I've been waiting for a long time, and we also tested a few areas to make sure we are ready . What should I do? Because like anyone else, I will eventually get tired of waiting around for years. Not sure if hes doing what his father did, married his mother 16 years later after having two kids. No not me. What should I do? or what's going on? |
Question: How to address envelope for wedding invite? Posted: 19 Aug 2015 06:32 AM PDT I am inviting my friend to my wedding and her long time boyfriend who doesn t live with her. Do I put his name on her invite (along with hers) addressed to her house? Or have two separate invites? Inviting her boyfriend as her date I mean, I wouldn't be inviting him alone if she couldn't make it. If it wasn't clear. |
Posted: 19 Aug 2015 06:08 AM PDT I suspect my daughter and her long-term boyfriend will be getting engaged soon. Although I am sure he is financially capable of buying a nice engagement ring for my daughter, I have a beautiful 2 carat diamond ring passed down from my mother that I would be thrilled for my daughter to have as an engagement ring. Should I have a private conversation with the boyfriend? My only hesitation is giving him the impression that he must use the family heirloom if he would rather pick out a ring on his own. Advice very much appreciated, especially from any males out there! |
Question: What is the best metal for a men's wedding band? Posted: 19 Aug 2015 06:03 AM PDT I bought my newly husband a tungsten material wedding band after doing a little research. Unfortunately he's only been wearing it for 17 days since we got married and it has broken in half. I bought that type of ring because his job is rough and he uses his hands a lot so I wanted something that would stand up to that type of work and also wouldn't cost tons of money. Unfortunately it didn't last long. What type of metal should I be looking for, for his new ring now that will hopefully hold up better and will be 400 or less? Thanks! |
