Question: Why do they say the 1st year of marriage is always the hardest? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 09:07 PM PDT Iv always wondered this. Me and my husband have known each other for 5 years, dated 3 1/2 years before we married, lived together for 2 years, and married for almost a year. We have a 1 year old and 2 year old child together. We love each other and even with a 8 year age gap we have worked out everything together without fighting or butting heads too bad. Unfortunately all of a sudden the past few months (since about March) all we can seem to do is fight, and butt heads about everything from whats for dinner to bills, the kid's and grocery lists. It's gotten soo bad our sex life involves him taking care of himself and me telling him to get off me and only 1x a week if that. We just bought a new car since he blew the pistons in mine and he gave me a budget to get what I want and now he's complaining to his brother how I'm making us go broke because I got a car that was only $220 a month vs his $600 a month car payment which makes no sense at all. |
Posted: 16 Aug 2015 09:06 PM PDT It's making me feel insecure but should I not feel this way? I talked to him about it but he's just saying i need to relax. I know how men are but gosh am I over reacting . |
Question: Visitation and school functions? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 08:59 PM PDT My fiance has visitation but not custody of his daughter. Is he able to volunteer at school functions, such as parties and donations or anywhere they might need an extra set of hands? Douglas County, Illinois |
Posted: 16 Aug 2015 08:48 PM PDT I'm 34 years old and my husband is 38, we have been married for 15 years and have a child on the way. We are happily married but my husband isn't the greatest in bed. My husband and his bestfriend are like two pea's in a pod, they do everything together. My husband's best friend even named one of his children after him and got a portrait of him tattooed on his upper bicep. Well last night we had a cocktail party at our house and invited all of our friends. My husband's bestfriend showed up but was unable to bring his wife because she was sick. Everyone was having a great time and people were really drunk, especially my husband. While everyone was outside I started to take the used cups away into the kitchen to be washed. Then I felt a tap on the shoulder only to realise that my husband's bestfriend wanted to help me. I had a few drinks and well, we ran up to my husbands bedroom and had sex. It was so great and yes, we locked the door. I can't describe having powerful sex with a man that is very attractive, it was exhilarating. However, after our sexual encounter I've had time to reflect and right now I can't stop crying because I feel terrible. I want to confess to my husband but I know I can't or it will wreck the marriage. Please don't consider me a bad person, sometimes you can't help giving into temptation. I just can't believe I did it and really need emotional support. |

Question: Can someone tell me how this is fair or even ok.? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 08:13 PM PDT My husband can snoop on my phone whenever he wants to even though I pay for my phone. Yet I go in his phone to look up a text for him and he flips out because I saw where he was bitching to his brother about how he had to buy met a new car because he blew the engine out of the one I bought and paid for myself (I confronted him about the text when he said he was buying me a new car and that i had our kifs to car3 after) please note he even refused to let me put a new engine in it because "it's too old and unreliable". When we first got married we had an agreement we both care for the kids together, he cares for himself and I do the same....it's worked very well till resently when he's started to try to be the man of the house and do everything by himself then gets pissy that I don't help or that I'm stretching his paychecks too thin. All he will let me pay for anymore is our kids dr bills. |
Question: My Narcissist Ex keeps our divorce in secret, but why? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 08:02 PM PDT My husband (51) and I (41) married two years ago and left me for another woman (56) 4 months ago, who is my acquaintance. They had an affair without my knowing for a couple of months prior to dumping me. I divorced him as soon as I found out he had moved in her house. Since he left, he totally refused to talk to me, so we communicated thru emails and texting, and now I even blocked his phone number and emails. Even though I asked him to change the mailing address, his mails still come to my address but I am sending them back to the sender. I was told by our mutual friends that we are temporarily separated. I know that his co-workers and friends would tell him crazy once they get to know of his affair and divorce, because we recently married, he is way older than me, I make much more money than he does plus I look more attractive than this old whore. Our divorce will be finalized in 3 months. Will he announce his divorce officially and introduce his new woman to people? Based on the fact that he left his mailing address here, I am afraid if he comes back. Any experience of Narcissist pattern? |
Question: What men want from his wife? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 07:48 PM PDT What makes a marriage and wife ''good'' for men? What are the important criteria in a marriage for men ? |
Question: What is the only good reason to be married? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 07:41 PM PDT I am a 28 year old woman who comes from the culture of arranged marriages. Everybody around me is married. I think marriage is overrated and the only reason to be married is when you are hopelessly in love with a person, enough to make all those sacrifices. I am not one for having babies and juggling work with everything else. Without love, it is just hard to marry somebody... rather being single makes you much happier. Is it so wrong to expect romance like in the movies and to be swept off your feet? |
Question: Is sex weird after infidelity? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 07:39 PM PDT My wife and i have been together for 8 years (married for 6). We have 2 kids (6 and 4). Posted: 16 Aug 2015 06:12 PM PDT My wife and I have what I feel to be a great sex life. When we first meet she was like most girls. She gave me head just to make me happy. For the most part she was pretty good. Now for the last 2 years she has really gotten into it. She tells me that she loves to go down on me and she had gotten a lot better. It borderline amazing.. I'm not complaining, but I'm wondering how a women can change her mind and preference about oral? Is it possible that she cheating or watching porn when I'm not around or is this just something you get better at with time. Its funny, my oral ability on her has seem to have gotten worse. She doesn't even ask me to do it to her anymore, but she is always wanted to go down on me. I'm very happy and confused. |
Question: How do you get over the fear of cheating? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 05:58 PM PDT Is it possible to overcome the thoughts of being cheated on? My gf is starting college nearly a thousand miles from me and even though she's never cheated on me, I've just been thinking about things going bad when she leaves. Being that far away, and being able to only see each other every few months, I'm feeling uneasy. I trust her, but we've never actually been away from each other more than a few days. |
Question: My husband is addicted to video games and I m losing interest..? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 04:29 PM PDT My husband and I have been together since we were 15. We are 22 now and have been married a little over a year. We just got to our first base in FL We have been living here for a year and have never even been to the beach together. He knows how much it irritates me how he s constantly online and hat we don t spend much time together unless we are watching tv at night while eating dinner.. Or watching netlix same old stuff. No walks around the block. No beach No going out on dates and doing activities/ He hates going out He hates doing anything that isn t sitting at home drinking and playing his video games... I hate it. I express constantly I feel like I don t have my best friend anymore or that we don t spend necessary time together anymor like we should. And he just doesn t get it. He s not romantic like at all. He s never really been.. And it s affecting me more now than ever. He doesn t work out. So he doesn t have a nice muscle and toned body like I would love for my husband to have now. And now he s been on this game runescape on his computer since we got back form vacation at his parents and it s a game he played when a kid. He s been waking up and immediately playing the game.. Today he woke up at 11:30 for on his compost and it is now 430 and still playing.. No break.. I m seriously losing it. |
Question: Am I being childish? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 03:14 PM PDT So my husband left for JRTC in Louisiana 3 days ago for a month long training. But since he's been there he told me he won't be going into the "Box" which is training combat. So since he's been there he's practically been on vacation. He's gone to the gym played video games slept in all day and he has friends who live there so he's been hanging out with them. And he went to the movies to watch a movie that he promised we'd go watch when he came back. But now I see no point if he already seen the movie. And I'm home alone in a state without any friends or family he's literally all I have out here. So I'm upset. I'm 20 weeks pregnant home alone with my dog with nothing and where to go. Oh btw before he left he didn't fix the flat tire on our car so I'm stuck in the house. Am I being childish or do I have a right to be upset? |
Posted: 16 Aug 2015 02:28 PM PDT My husband and I have been married for a little over a year. We ve been talking getter for 2 prior to our year of marriage but have know each other for 4 years. I m having problems right now. I m constantly comparing myself to two of his prior girlfriends in which he had serious relationships. He was going to marry one of them, and was so sexually attracted to the other. While dating me, my husband was exchanging dirty pictures with the ex he was going to marry, and was trying to talk dirty to his other ex as well. I know I married him regardless of that because I love him, but I really feel still hurt by that. I guess I feel insignificant, like I wasn t good enough for him. I just don t know how to feel ok with myself. Does anyone have any advice? |

Question: I hate it here but my husband loves it. What to do? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 12:50 PM PDT My husband and I left our hometown and moved to a city we thought would be better for us. We lived there for almost 2 years but he never truly felt "at home" there. I didn't mind if we went elsewhere or stayed, I just didn't want to go back to our hometown. Well, we're back here, despite my pleading for us to go anywhere else. My husband didn't want to take a chance on another city and felt more comfortable moving back to our hometown. We have been here for three months and even though I have a good job that pays well, and things are going okay, I feel miserable being back in this city. I feel as though I outgrew it many years ago and spent most of my childhood dreaming of ways to move away. My husband feels terrible because he is glad to be back but I'm miserable and I don't know what to do. I've tried to be okay with this, but running into people from high school constantly, and feeling like there is no adventure here is very depressing for me; especially after experiencing how freeing it was to live in a brand new place. Should I just bury my feelings and stay here? Or should we keep looking for a city that makes us both feel okay? Any advice would be appreciated. |
Question: Husband possible child porn? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 11:41 AM PDT Im not sure how to address this. I first ran into his problem when I opened his phone. We both got new phones, he however hates his and is always asking to trade with me so I thought I would see if I wanted to trade or not. Once I opened his phone I was surprised to see a porn video pop up that he had been watching. We have only been married for a couple of months and was not aware he was involved in that, I confronted him and he admitted he used to have a really bad habit and claims he has not watched porn in a while. So then I went onto our computer and sarched through the history only to see that before we got married that he used to watch a ton of porn, including hardcore and beastialitality and "babyj" He has recently downloaded utorrent on his phone & has searched for babyj torrents which I now know is for child porn. How should I handle this? Is there anyway I can track what he is doing. I can handle him watching porn but i am concerned because he wants to have a baby soon which I will not feel comfortable with if he is involved in watching child porn Any advice is appreciated |
Question: My husband masturbates in the shower? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 10:58 AM PDT Married 3 years have a son of 11 months old. Our sex life is pretty much non existent. I mean he does have sex with me but only if I do the first move. If I didn't then he wouldn't. And I think sometimes he only has sex with me just for me not to feel upset. I'm always up before him so I have a shower first. He has one when he wakes and takes ages! I hear the chain flush two times. I've seen porn on his phone 3 times before so have a strong feeling he's up to something in the bathroom every morning. I know this is wrong but this morning I kneeled down outside the bathroom door to see his feet. And he's standing where the shower is but not under it. I can't see what he's doing. He's there for about 10 minutes just standing in one spot. Then he walks over to the toilet and a few seconds later flushes the chain then walks over to the table to place down his phone. Goes and has a shower then. And when he's just about to come out the room he flushes it again. So then I went in after he came out pretend I needed a pee. Took a close look into the toilet and I see semen floating around. I feel physically sick with worry. I know he's standing there watching porn while masturbating. This has hurt me I'm not even talking to him I can't look at him right now and he has no idea. Ugh is this wrong of him? Do you men masturbate even if you have girlfriends/wives? I feel so hurt :-( |
Question: Why does my husband not want me to go to the same gym he goes to? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 10:34 AM PDT He got sort of upset when I faked and said I too got a membership @ his gym, I felt bad and asked why, he said is because is his man time where he clears his mind. Then he said he doesn't want dudes looking @ me, I wish I knew exactly what his really thinking... Not really (Lee) that was weeks ago, I then got me a membership at a different one last week, and since I dont know anything about working out, some guys from the gym gave me some hints, then he said to me that he knows what he had told me before and that I should start going to his gym that he will help me. |
Question: ADD problem with my spouse? Or is it something else? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 10:24 AM PDT I have no idea what to do.. I have been with him for 17 years!!! Yes, I have been called a saint just because he's a bit hyper and can't relax that well.. But I accepted him as a person so we married. But lately he's been getting on my nerves-- last few years actually. I'm at my wits end-- He is always in a hurry to do stuff and then rushes me too.. He is ALWAYS finished with his meal first then gets up right away to rattle dishes (I'm finding I like to sit and talk during a meal). Always has asked many questions because he is never sure about what he is doing. Just the other day I noticed he asked me about something then when I was about to answer, he walked away and did something else!! It's very annoying. He also mumbles a few sentences then I say 'what?' and he gets pissed!! Sure we all talk to ourselves but this is something different. He is like a constant stressed person.. The man only relaxes when he is totally exhausted. Oh, and through the night he moves around from our bed to different couchs in our house cause he can't get comfortable. He does work and is active with our kids. But I'm thinking something else is going on.. I've asked him to go to the Dr just to see what he has to say BUT he is refusing and saying it's me... Right after we married (15 years) I did notice he was more nervous and picking at his fingers quite a bit that they got infected. He went to the doctor and was put on Paxil.. But refused to take it longer than a month. |
Question: Depression & Marriage Issues, Long put pls read!? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 10:18 AM PDT I lost my parents when I was younger and endured a very hard life afterwards, from being in abusive relationships to being homeless, and a lot of failed relationships and friendships. I've been depressed for years but recently I realize its gotten really bad so I've been seeing a psychiatrist for the last 3 months but it isn't helping much. I'm religious so I do pray and hope for change as I feel I have no control over my feelings of sadnesss and loneliness. I'm 25 and I've been married for 3 years, and with my spouse a total of 5. I'm a online college student and a stay at home mom of 1 very active toddler. I'm at home 24-7 unless I'm grocery shopping or running errands. I have no friends, no life outside of being mother, and wife. And I feel really lonely. Recently I cheated on my spouse and I'm ashamed of it. I'm in such a vunerable place that I allowed myself to fall into a trap of adultery. My husband knows I've been through a lot but he dosen't really believe much in depression as a real mental illness or my panic attacks and anxiety for that matter. Its really frustrating when I open up to my husband about my feelings only to be made to feel like its all in my head, or ill just get over it. I wish it were that simple but its not. I'm no longer attracted to my spouse, and for the last 2 years I've secretly been wanting to leave him. He is a wonderful man, but I cant bring myself to even want to have sex with him. Should I leave my spouse? What should I do? |
Posted: 16 Aug 2015 10:17 AM PDT "Get her a gift. I'm a women and I go through this all the time with my husband. Simply buy her flowers a necklace, bracelet. Something to show her that you've made the effort to go out and get it for her. It'll make her feel special. Tell her how beautiful she looks whenever and whatever the time. Make her breakfast in bed. The little things are what mean most to women. I promise you that if you do these little things she'll be happy and the romance will be back" Can someone please explain why its always the Guys who have to do the romance to get get some intimacy? Why isn't working and bringing home the paycheck enough to get a little voluntary love and affection in return? Why is the answer always running to bribe her with romance? |
Question: I caught my wife sleeping with my sister! WHAT DO I DO? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 09:16 AM PDT Two days ago I caught my wife inside our bedroom sleeping with my sister! YES, MY BIOLOGICAL SISTER, who is bisexual. My wife also is bisexual too. UGH what do I do?! I find two girls making out really hot...but this is a different case, and GROSS! my wife slept with another woman, but what makes it worse is that that woman is my SISTER!!! Because of this I kicked my wife out of the house, but I didn't pack up her stuff. I just wanted her to think about what she did before I am gonna let her back in the house. As for my sister, I scolded her too and I wont talk to her until she apologizes. UGH what do I do?! I'm so sad and furious about what happened!!! I didn't know that my wife still had her lesbian tendencies even though we were married and had a son and daughter! by the way, I have nothing against the LGBT people. I have lots of LGBT friends which is why I grew up being accepting towards them. |

Question: Should I stay or should I go? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 07:14 AM PDT My husband is constantly calling me names even though when he asks me to do something and I do it well. I'm not sure if I should stay or if should divorce him. We've already talked about it several times about how his behavior effects me but he continues. What should I do? |
Question: He s going to use joint custody to control me. What can I do to prevent it? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 07:12 AM PDT I screwed up at my DVO hearing. I was so shocked that he would actually outright lie and claim I did the very things he was doing, I forgot all about my videos and texts that prove he s lying and prove his aggressive behavior can lead to me getting hurt. I was too busy saying, no, that IS NOT true. I started this divorce being as cooperative as possible and he s using it against me. Now, I worry that every decision I usually make is going to be a battle. He won t want to help pay for the kid s camps or sports so he ll just refuse any I choose, etc. He s going to prevent them from doing everything he can just because he wants to say no. I do I deal with this? He s not beating me up, I do have a DVO though, but I doubt I ve enough to go back to court and demand custody. It isn't a money issue. If he refuses to take the kids to their activities because he claims he has the right to due to joint custody, I have to deal with that. Sure, I can take him to court and a judge would say, be a parent to your children and stop this, but that's not cheap and it's not like I can get a court date like next week. I want to put something in the settlement agreement but I'm not sure how to word it or what I can actually ask for. Also, it's Family Court, not criminal so texts and such do apply. And if you question their validity and they are proven true, a judge will get pissed and will decide things in the other person's favor |

Question: Should he contribute? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 06:58 AM PDT I'm engaged. 46 and my fiance is 44. I have 3 children who live with me from prior marriage he has one from prior relAtionship who he sees one day a week. He practically lives at my house although he has his own place. His own place is his fathers house who is retired and moved away. He pays no rent, taxes. Just his personal expenses and minimal child support. He showers at my house 2 times a day uses my soap. Does his laundry there, eats my food, watches my cable. He makes a lot of money. I work full time and barely get support from their father. Over the last 3.5 years we have been together he has offered me 60.00 four times towards groceries. If I ever had to borrow money from him I always pay him back and he puts it in his pocket right away. I'm tired of it. I struggle week to week and he is walking around with $18000 in a bank account. I finally got the courage to say something and he said "we don't officially live together, you didn't ask me to move in yet so why should I contribute?" We aren't married so no I don't want him to officially move in yet. But why should a 44 year old live for free everywhere? Everyone has to pay to live right? No rent here no rent at his dads and he makes $70000 a year. He banks it all and hasn't even offered to pay a $60 water bill for me, his fiance, not some gold digging woman. He got all defensive and pissy. I guess taking me out to dinner once a week is supposed to be him helping me. Need advice. Thank you. |
Posted: 16 Aug 2015 06:25 AM PDT We finally went out on a date and had a blast. But everytime I kiss her she thinks I want sex because we haven't had it since baby was born and she's still hurting. She then said she thought I didn't like her for the past year and is getting used to me paying attention to her. Sorry all just needed to vent a little and see if anyone has gone through this. |
Question: My husband cheated on me? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 05:49 AM PDT He cheated on me in December. I can't get over it. We're on the verge of separating... not only because he cheated, but because he denies the physical and mental abuse he's done to me even though i have all the evidences. It hurts. I can't get over him and I still love him but he won't go to marriage counseling with me. He doesn't want me anymore anyways because now he has another woman on the side. (Because he thinks I'm cheating on him). Im lost. Im hurt. I have no family emotional support either and it's come to the point where all they say to me is that I'm stupid. I'm trying not to be suicidal either. .... but its just so hard. Help? |

Question: Should i cheat on my wife ? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 02:44 AM PDT I have been married for about 2 years and 3 months , What has been bugging me since the 1 month of my marriage , we have had sex not more then 40(this number includes oral sex) times , I always want more and my wife she (it feels to me like )finds excuses to avoid having sex with me. she keeps telling me she is afraid sex will make her feel tired and that's why she does not want to do it. This is despite it being Saturday night and nothing much to do next day. I have given her more than enough ultimatum at-least 5 times by now and the pattern remains the same , we have sex ( in the form of oral or something) for 2 times , before we go in a slump , my last sexual experience with my wife was about 3 weeks ago , my calculation serves me correct then with in last 3 months we must have had sex for about 4 times , that is after i gave her an ultimatum. I don't know what to do , but i have decided cheating on her by hiring escorts , I don't see a choice. But i have not gotten myself comfortable with the idea yet. I don't want to leave her , partially because i am used to having her around and i don't want to hurt her parents who are old and very worried about their children. But it seems like i am being stressed out. (if the subject ever comes up , i live in india , our parents stay with us , its a custom, its been agreed in india , My parents have left to see my brother since last week , and we both have been alone since then) |
Question: I think my husband loves the dog more than he does me? Posted: 16 Aug 2015 12:27 AM PDT we have had our dog for nearly a year now. My husband shows more attention to the dog and cuddles with her at night before bed while i dont even get so much as a hug/kiss or a simple "goodnight" from him. He lets the dog sleep on our bed every night even though ive protested this nightly. I dont like going to sleep on something that has dog hair all over it, nor do i want to share my bed with the dog. I want to share the bed solely with my husband but he doesnt seem to get it. After he gets home from running his errands he Greats the dog first and showers her with hugs and such and all i get is a "hey". Every time we go somewhere he wants to bring the dog. I dont know what to do anymore. Im tired of feeling neglected. Im tired of feeling like i come last to him. Ive trued talking to him about this but all i get from him is "oh you are being ridiculous". I dont want to give him an ultimatum but i feel that if things dont change then our relationship is going to fall apart. I dont feel as close to him as i used to. I rarely ever get his full undivided attention. We aren t intimate very often either anymore. Its hard to want to be with someone intimately when you are feeling neglected by them. What do i do? |

Question: My husband refuses to share his phone password with me. should I stay or leave? Posted: 15 Aug 2015 10:06 PM PDT I cant trust him anymore bcz i already caught him cheating although he denies it. Could it be bcz he got married at age 38 and hes finding it hard to share his life with another person? We already have a 3 months old son, and he wants to have more kids but I don't want to have more kids with someone who doesn't want to commit. I'm seriously thinking of a divorce because not sharing the passwords means he wants to go on with more secrets and cheating is insulting for me although I do love him and divorce is the last thing on my mind. Please help, i'm so confused, and I don't want to move out and live alone again. I got married at the age of 33. |
Posted: 15 Aug 2015 09:53 PM PDT I admit people might find them creepy, but I think some of the pet rats out there are cute and since I can't have dogs or cats I figured rats or maybe small pet parakeets could be alright as pets. But I'm worried about not just what my family will think, but if I tried to ask cute ladies out, and then they saw I had pet rats, they'd think I was a psycho and then not ever want to talk to me again, or worse they'd ruin my reputation. I asked it here 'cuz if I date I wanna date to find someone to get married to |
Question: How can I fight for custody if I'm poor? Posted: 15 Aug 2015 09:51 PM PDT My husband and I are going through bankruptcy. Then we are getting divorced. Our children (ages 3 and 7) live with me. Our oldest has special needs. My husband chose to live in a different part of the country. He wants me to have custody "for now". He says he wants the kids to go live with him in a few years. I don't agree with him. I think our kids should continue to live here, and he should get visitation. I'm nervous about the divorce because I can't afford a lawyer. What do I do? He makes more money, but he claims that he is always broke. He won't even help out financially with the kids. I am already pursuing child support through Child Support Services (they are are about to serve him). |
