About 35 minutes before I was going to leave, my best friend facetimed me. I answered it of course. She was frantically crying. I was trying to calm her down until finally she told me what was going on. I felt so bad, i couldn t leave her. She had been dealing with some stuff and that was just her breaking point. The whole thing turned into a venting session. I started to cry, my eyes were so swollen. I didn t realize the time. I almost had to go, but I felt bad for leaving my best friend like that. I didn t have the heart to tell her I was supposed to be hanging out with a guy. So, I told him I was unable to make it and that I d tell him later. Didn t give him a reason. He never replied and I feel SO bad. I bailed on him 10 minutes before I had to meet him, but I just couldn t go. Was I wrong for bailing on him like that so last minute?? I don t know if he d understand. I m waiting for him to reply. I just couldn t leave my best friend like that, she was going through so much and needed someone to talk to. Plus, I had been crying and venting. If I would ve gone, I feel like I wouldn t have had a good time as i should have. I just wasn t in the mood anymore. Do you think he s mad? Should I have gave him a reason? My exact words were "I can t leave anymore. I ll tell you later, I m sorry". At that moment I just didn t care and sent it. Now that I think about it, i feel SOOOOO bad. How can I make it up to him? |

Only 9 people (including me) are going to my highschool, none of which are my friends. This probably sounds really shallow but I'm scared I won't have anyone to sit with at lunch or talk to in general. I'm also scared I won't make any friends this year, I really suck at that. Not to mention orientation is in two days and im terrified. Can anyone give me any tips? |

I feel like, in the long run, me not being here wouldn't have any effect on the world so what's the point in me even being alive? I'm bored and don't find anything fun anymore. My lifelong passion for gymnastics is no longer there because I know I won't get to a high enough level to make a difference or be remembered. This problem is affecting my friends and family and me and my interests and hobbies. The only thing that's stopping me from killing myself is the pain I'll have to go through to get there and my family. I can't tell what's wrong with me, someone help please? |

Few weeks ago she was parked at a bus stop and I was coming towards her and as I checked my right mirror I noticed her waving at me, but in a slow way with a soft look at me. Also on that day when overtaking my bus she looked back and waved at me. A couple of weeks ago we met at the bus terminal on the way to the toilet and she started a conversation with me. She would then talk about her getting into trouble for speeding by management. We were talking for about 5 mins. She said she was running late and needed to use the toilet and had better go. I left to go outside and she then came out after using the toilet and on passing me to get into her bus said she had bad hay fever, again as if initiating something So few days later she was coming towards me on her bus and she pushed her hair up but acted like she didn't see me and ignored me. So couple of weeks ago we both pulled up at bus stops on other side of the road from each other and she looked behind over her shoulder at me and waved. I looked at her but ignored her. So she waved again and again I kept looking but ignored her. She then looked puzzled and waved again and I smile laughed because she kept trying and she then had a little smile and drove off. She's just come back from holiday and when she saw me today she done a circular wave, like enthusiastically, and 2nd time she waved with big smile |

| Posted: 10 Aug 2015 01:21 PM PDT I borrowed a friend $6,000 in the beginning of 2013. So far she has paid $2,010. At first she made payments of $250 each month. Then she asked to drop the payment in half to $125 a month and I said it was okay. This February of 2015 she asked if she could stop making payments for a while to save up to move. I said no, but she could make them smaller again. I didn't want her to stop making payments all together because it's way too easy to not come back to it later. She said okay. I noticed in May of this year she hadn't made any payments since before February when we talked. I said no, she said okay, but decided to not pay me anyway. I asked her why she did this and her reason was she didn't want to make me mad... Well I was pretty darn mad anyway. She made a $50 payment this June. In July she said she was going yo make another payment, but never did for the month of July. I asked her what was going on, in general - not the payments specifically - and she told me that she's pregnant now. She hasn't made a payment for August yet. I want to ask her again about the payments but I'm worried that if I push it too much she'll get mad and decide she's not going to pay me back at all. I've told her I'm fine with small payments as long as she's up front and honest with what's going on. Is it wrong of me to keep pushing the payments? It's been almost 3 years and she's only 1/3 through paying me back. I just want it done so that it's out of both of our hair. |

She's always worried about her body shape/weight and about working out since she's overweight/chunky. She looks at me like she's secretly jealous of me too. She never likes my pictures on facebook except for that one time when she liked my profile picture 2 months AFTER I posted it. She's online a lot also and likes others pictures, but not mines. Obviously, she was looking through my pictures. Why do you think she would like my picture 2 months after I posted it...randomly? Plus, I posted a status a few days after I changed my profile picture and she liked my status. I was like what? She can like my status, but not my picture. It's so strange to me. I just don't like having a shady "friend" around me that smiles in my face, but is not keeping it real with me. She even told me one time "I wish I was like you". What do you guys think? Thanks. |

Long story short this girl but herself between me meeting a guy. She was easy and desperate to get him even after he displayed that he was interested in me. The problem I have with her was her behaviour during the situation. And I felt like she didn't really respect me or the friendship, so I ended the friendship. Now I fell like are group of friends picked her side. They all went to brunch yesterday without inviting me but invited her. I went to a party last month and I felt like I was speaking mostly with the strangers at the party. And am fully aware that they all know about the situation but none of them add the decency to ask me what happened. Am I don't need no fake friends and I'm about to delete them off of Facebook. |

I helped organize it, drove the entire time both ways, and was doing my best to accommodate her in every way. Some of the group broke off to do their own thing or to sleep off their hangovers, but I stuck by her the entire time. She said she didn't care at all if people needed to sleep or couldn't make every planned activity. I didn't realize this didn't include me, so when there was a point when I said I needed a quick power nap, she got super pissy with me and stormed out of the room! She said that as her best friend she holds me to a higher standard than everyone else, and it seemed like I was "crapping out" on her. I was so annoyed! I said I was doing my best, and how come everyone else can do whatever and she would defend them but I ask for one thing and it's as though I'm the worst friend ever. Then somehow we got into how lately it's been all about her and she doesn't know anything about my life nor does she seem to even really care. Now she thinks that portion of the trip was "ruined" and it was all because of me. I don't even know how to handle this. Any thoughts? |

Posted: 10 Aug 2015 12:40 PM PDT say your friend that you see often insulted your wife or significant other totally out of left field (saying something untrue, uncalled for, ignorant and judgmental)? would you stop being friends with him if it made you realize that he's really not a good person? the thing is; my significant other has a friend that we've known since high school, but I think he's honestly a jerk and is in other situations too, not just this one with me....he said something behind my back (that was false) because he had an unrelated issue with me. He said these things to my SO's family and it made his family member turn against me (cause she believed it) and has since caused never-ending discord between his family and myself. The problem? my significant other still hangs out with this guy and he says i would not have the right to ask him to stop being friends with the guy. My SO even admits that he doesnt like this friend as a person but that he still wants to see him anyways cause theyve known each other for so long and they have fun. Every time he goes to see this friend it makes me furious and I feel like my SO is being disloyal to me. It causes discord between us every time and I feel like since I was innocent in the situation and attacked in this unwarranted way, he should stand up for me by not seeing this person anymore. but what would you do? |

Now I'm with my father but he doesn't have the money to care for me since he pays my mom 500 a month for child support, that my mom spends on her pills. I have braces that need paid off by September, senior pictures and school supplies that we don't have the money to buy. My mom has bipolar 2 and claims she is getting better, I thought she was going to hit me the other day. That whole side of the family doesn't want me around anymore because of what happened. Basically my guy friend asked if he could just stay since it was so late and I asked to which she told me to ask my father, I did and he said yes since he knows him, she told me to hold on which meant no so I let it alone. She flipped out and started calling people, now my best friend won't talk to me because my mom told her I blamed it on her and my guy friend is grounded, the guy I'm interested in is trying to talk to me but I'm scared to answer now. I'm so upset I can't eat or sleep and my past suicidal thoughts are coming back, along with my anorexia. Help? |

How does this game start? I know some of the basics about it and could only wonder what went on at that house but if you ask someone truth or dare if your not the promiscuous type why would you ever say "dare"? What if you accept dare and don't do what that person wants you to? Same thing with "truth". I guess you could lie I dunno. Only info I got was third hand info from my friend's friend of a friend and his friend had a good time and was talking about it but my friend won't say a word and I don't know the girl too well. |
| Question: I only have one friend and I need help ? Posted: 10 Aug 2015 12:27 PM PDT I use to have a group of friends but before that I met a girl and she became my first friend. From her I gained many friendships. So fast forward I've litteraly lost all those friendships because of her , not talking or arguing with them and me going on her side. Or her not liking my friends and getting mad when I talk to them. So basically she's my only friend. Anyways we have been friends for 5 years and not once has she betrayed me or anything. But she doesn't ever show she cares. Of all her friends she says she loves them or misses them or that they're pretty to me zero. When I do something for her she doesn't say thank you or when I'm there to listen she doesn't appreciate those things. I love her to death. I understand she doesn't have to worship me but not once in her 4 years of friendship has she shown any signs of caring. Family and friends tell me to drop her or whatever but she's my only friend. I've told her about these things and she says she's not one to show affection or whatever yet she does to everyone except me. I've been there for her than most of those people. When I talk about having another Bestfriend or saying I love this person she gets all mad , what should I do :( |
| Posted: 10 Aug 2015 12:25 PM PDT amusement park. At first,I scheduled my party to be on Friday, 2 days after my actual birthday, and they said they could all come. I was then informed that my father was going to be out of town for my actual birthday, and wasn't going to be available to celebrate it until Sunday, 2 days after the date i had originally planned. I told my friends this today, but Sunday was also the day my other close friend had planned to have her birthday party. I didn't realize that this was the date she had planned until texting out the changed party date into a group chat with all of my friends. All my friends said that they were going to her party, even my best friend, and one of them even got mad at me for scheduling it on that date, even though i didn't know it at the time. None of them hardly even cared that, once again, i would be celebrating my birthday alone. I don't want to have to reschedule it, because that means i would have to have a party without my dad, and my aunt and cousins also rescheduled their plans just so they could make my party. I don't want to have to reschedule and cause more issues, but if i don't, ill just go with my family, which is fine, but i was really looking forward to this with my friends, and i will have to miss out on another friends party. What should i do? |

She was just being so rude and cold and sarcastic towards me and never once was disrespectful or started anything between us. She was just insulting me and being so mean. She finally just got on my nerves so using my skills that I have developed in the sport of boxing since age 10, I threw a fast & hard straight right hand, followed by a hard left uppercut that sent her to the floor & her nose was bleeding heavily. People around me were screaming and yelling things at me, so I ran back to my car and sped off. I felt bad after but I feel I was justified for her talking trash to me & being disrespectful. |
| Question: Are curses real or am I just paranoid? Posted: 10 Aug 2015 11:45 AM PDT Okay, maybe it might not be a curse but during my summer, something weird happened. Me and my friends talked about it, and they want to move on but a part of me is still kinda stuck on it. A month ago, I went to an amazing event. It was in the city and I had a perfect time, then as the night went on something went wrong and I ended up lost and alone. It all worked out but the day after, arguments started happening with all my friends (this continued on the whole month). I was even the one to initiate some of them. They were petty arguments that I would never start but I did for some reason, as for everyone else in my life. I think im being paranoid because our theory ( me and my friends ) is just that since there was no school to stress about, we caused stress on each other, but personally, why did it have to happen after that exciting/horrible day? The exact date fyi was june 21st. I know this sounds stupid and dumb, but a part of me wants to go back to the place it all happened and perhaps just try to reverse the bad vibes and go back to the good ones I used to have. What do you think? (please help) |
| Question: I need some advice.? Posted: 10 Aug 2015 11:44 AM PDT I want to stop lying. I don't tell destructive lies but i have an annoying habit of lying about small things that don't even matter. I usually do it, almost, without realizing it mostly to keep the conversation flowing. I am good at it as well (or at least i think i am unless the person is pretending to believe me). But there are times where i make up stories about (imaginary) people i have known and tell them to keep the person i am speaking to entertained. What should i do? i really want to stop this. |

She has been a friend of mine for 3 years, and we met when she first joined our grade. My best friend had transferred to another school that year, so the teachers decided that we should become friends. She wasn't that bad the first year, she was new, didn't have many friends, and I tried help her find new ones. Over the years, she became clingy, which I brushed off, and my friends started to dislike her, and at the time I didn't know why. Then, this year, her behaviour got worse. She was rude to me and those around her, and pushy, and constantly using the excuse 'I'm new', or making up a huge sob story to get out of trouble. I tried to tell her that that was the reason she didn't have many friends, and gently urged her to be nicer and apologizing to the people she had offended. My best friend had also returned this year, and so I started talking to her as well, only to find that whenever I tried to talk with her, 1 pushed her away. A couple months later, I found my best friend crying behind a tree, and found that 1 was behind it. We fought, and she made a huge sob story that I'm positive turned everybody against me, started spreading rumours about me while asking my friends if I had done the same, and tried to steal my friends by dragging them away, and saying bad things about me. I was bullied like this a couple years ago, and I feel terrible, and that it was my fault.Help? |

She texted me days ago inviting me out. I have a daughter and told her I can not go. She texted back "If you can come, great, if you can't ok". This woman is a textaholic. She texts separate thoughts into each text. I was at my childs doctor today already stressed out when she sent: 1. We are still going out 2. One of us cant make it out though 3. Oh, another one of us can't make it out her youngest grandsons sick 4. Also, I bought a pair of jeans just now. 5. I am down a dress size! I wrote back to her "I am at my childs psych evaluation can you please stop texting me so much." I only had my phone on to keep my childs father updated and it was vibrating nonstop. She wrote "Jeez Im just keeping you updated." but she does this every day. Should I block her? I am a single, working mom with a lot going on. She is a bored, unemployed 40 year old woman with no life. She thinks I should always have my phone out and ready for her at every command. Rude or no? |

Now I will begin.So around the middle of July this kid supposedly asked my parents if he could come inside our apartment.This was one of the things I was afraid of.I didn't want anyone in my apartment that I didn't know.Even a developing friend.So my genius parents said yes.He played with us a little for that night.He wasn't too bad,but I didn't like how he treated my dog and how he asked for a lot.Example:my iPhone.So then we visited our dad for 2 weeks.And came back . ever since he's been harassing me and my brother asking if he can come over.We continue to give him excuse after excuse as to why he can't come over this time.But it's gotten worse.Today I gave him another excuse.I told him I had company over.And went inside.About 45 minutes later,we hear the doorbell ring.The kid was there.I ignored him as I already told him he can't come over.He started banging on the door hard.And was there for 3 minutes.Then about an hour later he came back and rang the doorbell over and over but quickly left.What do I do?I feel very unsafe.Is this considered harassment?What do I do?I don't want to be friends! |

Posted: 10 Aug 2015 10:48 AM PDT I play for fun dribbling and shooting in basket ball and playing around with a soccer and foot ball it s tons of fun but I cannot play competitively like on a team and I m not interested I love other athletic activities from running to working out to swimming, my friends say I m really good at shooting in basket ball and and I can crossover and dribble but I have no skill when it comes to a game i can't even stand watching it just gets so boring I feel like the only one is it normal I m into tons of other things from fashion to music to cars I love it all I just feel like me not being into mainstream sports isn t normal but it s not like I can t make friends without it I share many interests and I notice it s only my group of friends in particular in our whole school that talk about it like crazy everyone else talks about thing I can relate to more most of the time but my friends and I still relate a lot cause we ve know each other for a long time so yeah just wanted to know if there are others out there like me. | Question: How do you stop missing people so much? Posted: 10 Aug 2015 10:45 AM PDT College is starting up again soon and I'm really going to miss my friends and family. I dont know why but i can never make any friends in college so at home is the only place i actually talk to people on a daily. Sure i talk to study groups and stuff but nobody ever wants to hang out with me. So when i leave for college i get really depressed because i know i will be alone. With that, i cling on to the friends i have and some times they ignore me and i cant focus because i think that they'll never speak to me again if the don't answer my text within a day or two. But when they do answer they say they saw my texts but just forgot. It makes me feel bad because i think that they can easily forget about me, yet i rely so much on them. How can i get over missing people and focus more on myself and my future? I want to do other things but i get too caught up in not having some one around that i lose focus and spend to much time contemplating on my life. Any ideas? |
