Question: Why is it so wrong to live with your parent(s) into adulthood? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:33 PM PDT I'm 26 and I live with my brother and my mother. We live on 20 acres in a very large house (large enough that we all have small apartment sized bedrooms -) I have a Job, make nearly 100k a year ( I have been working a LONG time), so does my brother and my mother brings in about 40k. Thing is we are all extremely close and are more like 3 roommates than kids living with their mother. There is no tension, no issues, I choose not to have romantic relationships (I just never had a single ounce of interest) plus we (My brother and me) take care of this property and the house. This house has been passed down through 5 generations, it's where I have always lived my entire life, and I just don't have any intention of leaving. Yet I get discriminated against constantly for this. I don't know if I can go a single day without hearing about how I should "get out on my own" and what? Go out and go 100,000 in debt to buy a new house in some unfamiliar rundown neighborhood in suburbia with SUV driving yoga moms or the gang-banging ghetto? Reset myself back to square 1? I even got grilled at work a few years back and was almost kicked from my position because I didn't have a wife/girlfriend and my own place!.. I never saw anything wrong with my lifestyle. I feel independent, I'm not restricted from doing anything, We put our income together and to say the very least - we aren't hurting.
Question: How to ask for help.? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:29 PM PDT My home life isn't very good. My dad hits my brother who in turn hits me. I'm scared and I want it all to stop. I want to go live with another family. I don't want to call the police. They scare me. I don't know what to do.
Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:28 PM PDT My best friend and I were exchanging stories and she talked about how her dad would get mad over things like not washing her dish. Her dad would then smack her really hard, her mom does it too. After she told me I said that she should tell someone cause that's considered abuse, right? They do it for stupid reasons, she doesn't deserve it. She also sent me a text saying she was in need of help because her brother was trying to hurt her. She locked herself in her room but her brother was trying to break the door. Her brother has actually struck his step mom before and left a mark. I rode my bike down to her house and she had bruises but said she was fine, he was just kidding. He obviously wasn't cause she had bruised cheeks and arms. Ive been trying to get her to get some help but she won't, and I can't just force her. Please help, I'm worried about her safety.
Question: Should I worry about my Boyfriend talking to his Birth Family? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:26 PM PDT I have been in a relationship with my guy for 7 years. He knew all along he was adopted and never cared to know about his birth family. Until one day he got really sick and was in the hospital and he couldn't answer family medical history. So he talked to his family and they told him what his birth name was and if he wanted to find them they are ok with it. Well it took him all of three hours to find them and now he has been in contact via email and now Text and facetime non stop with them. I am happy for him, but I feel as if he is becoming obsessed with it. He has four sisters and two brothers. He feels like he needs to step in and help them out, since there life didn't turn out so good. He text them all day and is on the phone at night with them for three hours every night. I don't know why but something about this situation is rubbing me the wrong way. Instead of just talking to him and telling them a little bit about their selves they are saying they need help have no money or car and just to me making a guilt trip on him. We have two kids together, and I feel like he just is so focus on his birth family that he is not even paying attention to me and his sons. Is it normal once you find your birth family to talked to the 24/7? They are planning on coming to visit in our house in November. He is buying all their plane tickets which we don't have the money for that to buy 7 plane tickets but he says he wants to meet them. Am I over reacting?
Question: How do i make my parents pay for The barber? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:25 PM PDT I'm 17 and i have very long hair, it hasnt been cut since i was 13, my parents say that The wants to "save money". The real reason is because they have no money, They just drink and smoke away all the money they can get their working class hands on. Now, i am being bullied in school because i have "girl haircut", i try to convince The parents to pay for The cheapest barber in The city, but they are going all "it's not that long, it's not girly" My dad say "in 1975, when i was in your age, i had even longer hair". How do i convince them to pay for The barber?
Question: Why is my dad always single? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:21 PM PDT He has always been single since I remember. Apparently, his wife(my mom) died when I was 3. I dont actually remember her at all. But most my friends have step-dads or step-moms, etc. My friends parents are always dating new people & they even sometimes get new step-siblings which is super cool! & there are constantly getting new parents, which is also cool. I'm an only child so it kinda sucks. My dad & I hang out a lot, but he is at work pretty often. My dad is kinda just like a normal chilled person. I don't really see him get mad ever. Like when I do something bad, he is like "sorry, but I'm gunna have to take something away from you." But he never actually gets mad or yells or anything like that. Anyways, sometimes pretty girls flirt with him, but he doesn't even do anything & he is awkward around women! UGH! He is a very good-looking man, but is never has a girlfriend ever. He has no life & just sits at home & plays video-games on his computer like a nerd. I love my dad, but I wouldn't mind a bigger family. or like a mom or some step-siblings. Being an only child sucks!!! I'm 13. My dad is 35. I'm a girl BTW.
Question: There's something wrong with the way my mother treats me and I can't escape her. Help!? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:21 PM PDT She's always been what she calls 'overprotective'. I lived with her until I was 19. Even at 19, I'd never visited a friend's house, gone trick or treating, gone to the store without her, I'd never learned how to drive, gone on a date, climbed a tree, gone swimming, or anything that she deemed too dangerous. She said she'd keep me 'forever.' That if I wanted to leave her house I could live in the backyard in a camper. She never let me get a job, save money (she'd steal it) or anything that might mean that I could leave. She told the police that I had a mental disorder last year when I called the cops to try to help me get out. Oddly enough, they made me stay with her. Told me I was breaking her heart. She would sleep on the floor by my bed to keep me from leaving, and once even tackled me to the ground and broke my phone. She told me that the world would rape and kill me. Long story short, I found help and was able to get away. I'm almost 21 now and she has tracked down my new address and my boyfriend's family's telephone number and harasses us constantly, calling them demons and saying that they stole me. They're scared of her. She says that I don't love her, and that she doesn't know what happened to me. I can't call her. It ends with a fit on her part. I can only text her. I've tried to reach out and tell her about my day, and she just ignores me and begs me to come back. She told me yesterday to fly from Idaho to Alabama where she is for a job interview that is today..help
Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:16 PM PDT There are these 2 black girls that went to the same college as me. Keep making treats about killing & beating me & my newborn, they told me to never reproduce because I'm Asian & Asian does not have Full-Figure (Lies) & they told me I was ugly & you should not have model. They won't leave me alone, there was one time when they follow me to the store & try to hit my newborn. The College Police will not do anything, because they told me even though I had proof. What should I do?! They my newborn & I are living in fear. Trolls will be reported.
Question: What to do? Why is my mom doing this.? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:14 PM PDT My mom is kicking my bf out because my brother set him up about a note. My mom asked him who's it was and he said his. My mom is mad that he lied about the note and didn't tell her that my brother wrote it. My brother wrote a bunch of lies on the note and my mom is kind of believing them even though I proved to her they're not true. My boyfriend has no one else in our town unless he moves back to his family which is 5 hours away. My mom is hurting me by kicking him out and my brother doesn't care. Since this situation my mom and brother have been getting a long great. My boyfriend has cried to my mom and to me and I've cried and screamed over it. I feel like my whole world is being torn Apart again. My boyfriend even pays rent and we don't sleep in the same bed. I feel betrayed by my mom and i feel alone. She doesn't love me really or she wouldn't be taking my happiness away
Question: I don't know what to do? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:10 PM PDT My little sister has been beating me up since she was 5 and I was 9. It started out with her just biting me. Then it escalated to her pushing me down the stairs and then she would yell that I pushed her as I laid at the bottom of the stairs. I didn't start fighting back until I was 16 and she was 12. Now I'm home for college for the summer and although I only have a week and a half left of summer I don't know what to do. My dad was abusive so I can't go live with him. My parents are divorced and cannot afford summer camp so I'm forced to watch/feed both of my sisters. My 15 year old sister( the violent one) will attack me physically by punching, kicking, or clawing me when I'm home, yet as soon as I leave the house she goes through my things and steals stuff. We live in a rental so I cannot put a lock on the door. Also if I try to protect my 8 year old sister from her she verbally assaults me calling me stupid, a b****, and telling me that she's going to kill me. She used to be on meds/still is and they do help with her anger, but lately she's been lying to both parents about taking them and flushing them down the toilet. I don't feel safe here, but have nowhere to go for a week and a half and storage units only rent out on a monthly basis. Every time I tell my mom she doesn't know what to do because she can't afford for my sister to go back to the hospital. Please help
Question: Should I move in with my dad? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:10 PM PDT Hi, I'm 14(turning 15 soon). My parents were divorced when I was young(like 3-4). My mom thinks he is evil and all. My father thinks as well, but he understand a whole lot more. Me and my mom live in Tennessee and my dad lives in Virginia. I have a moral dilemma when I turn 18. It is either I stay with my mom or move to my dad. I have lived with my mother majority of the time. But I kinda want to live with my dad for a little bit, but I'm afraid that I'll betray her and that she doesn't want to seem me again. My dad says he will be happy and he will let me visit back to my mother whenever I want. However, my mother doesn't know about it. She doesn't know me and my father still contact each other, but if she does, I am going to get in a huge trouble. I'm even afraid to even mention him when I talk to her. I've been thinking for this awhile now. What should I do?
Question: I want to be smarter than my cousin.? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:07 PM PDT I have these cousins that are way smarter than I am. I am an only child and feel dumb next to them. I have always hated them for it and been envious that school is so easy for them. My cousin got a four year scholarship to Oxford and his little brothers are both headed in the same path. I am not headed in that direction but I want to be a doctor. I have always gotten A's B's and C's. I'm going into the IB program this fall. I still just want to be smart. How can I be more intelligent than them?

Posted: 06 Aug 2015 01:00 PM PDT My mother and siblings went on vacation and they're coming back on Saturday or Sunday and I miss them so much I've already cried 5 times. | Question: How do Make my father stop hitting me? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 12:48 PM PDT My father drinks pretty much, he drinks multiple bottles of beer and a couple of whiskeys each night. I'm 16 now, and since i was 6, he has been beating me up almost every day, i often have bruises in The face, once, he cut me in The arm with a switchblade, but that has only happened once. I tell my friends and teachers that i ride my bike in very unsafe ways, that why i got scratchmarks, black eyes and bruises. My girlfriend is The only one who knows, and i never take her home. The school is planning to report me because i am acting so violent towards other people at my school, and some teachers, because i need to take out my anger on someone. He leaves my mother and sister alone, but when he gets drunk and mad, i am his victim. I am tired of this now. My mother is too afraid of going to The police, and it's legal to hit your kids in my country. How do i solve this problem? |

Question: How do I be a better daughter? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 12:31 PM PDT I'm always trying to be a good daughter to my mom but it seems I always am screwing up and it stresses her out. I get so infuriated and I try to defend myself but that doesn't work.I tried just plain out saying that it's my fault and her only reply was "well that's a first" As result, she's always taking away my phone. I'm trying my best, but it seems I am never good enough. I really don't want to continually keep losing my phone. I want to be a better daughter. help! I'm always biting my tongue when she lectures me and just agrees. I help out a lot at home and I am too young to work
Posted: 06 Aug 2015 12:23 PM PDT Hi, So I am a 14 year old girl and I always wanted to play a sport. My mom is always pestering me to exercise, but when I asked her if I could join cheerleading and soccer she immediately said NO. Why? She told me that "it isn't good for girls " How do you think I can convince my mom to at the very least let me join cheer or soccer? And There's this thing in my school (kind of a club) in where, if you join, you literally get paid for every A you get every quarter (20 bucks) and go on trips and volunteer all the time AND get a scholarship. When I was going to join, I asked my parents and they said "nope, nope, nope, nope" I really need help on how to convince my parents to let me join both these activities. Thanks in advance :) Well.. I'm pretty sure it's not the cost.. But Might be because my mom doesn't want me to wear a cheerleader outfit or something along those lines...
Posted: 06 Aug 2015 12:07 PM PDT read this thoroughly please, i'm getting kind of sick of people not reading carefully and mistakenly commenting wrong answers: i am a 14 yo boy, who is gonna being going into high school pretty soon in a couple more weeks. I've been doing a lot of vacations, going outside a lot in the summer, but I rarly go out with my school friends (ie; going to movies, bike rides, picnic, etc.). I have a working sister, a brother who works as well, and both my parents work until 7 PM and my little brother is a 10 yea old. I really wanted to go play Tennis with a friend of mine, but my dad started yelling at me that I needed to take care of my little brother. i was planning to bring my little brother to my mother's work place. but, my dad said I am not his son and that he will punch me for punishment when i get home and think about kicking me out of the house. he said i can only go out on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in summer, since those are the only days my dad is off. My brother and sister went out a lot when they were my age, but my mom took care of me because she didn't work that time. Answer these questions; 1. Is he a good father? 2. How old should I wait until my little brother can stay home alone? 3. How do I deal with an unfair life because my siblings got to go out at 13/15, so should i? Please answer all of them. I am in great stress. 10 points for answering ALL questions. Don't just say something random. Don't say, "Talk to him" or "Wait until you move to college".
Question: Do my parents have horrible parenting skills? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 12:06 PM PDT So my sister is 7 years old and she's still attached to her blanket that she had as a baby. She takes it every where with her and freaks out when she doesn't have it and it is so annoying. She can't even sleep without it. My parents are so dumb. They always makes sure that she has it and they encourage her to have it at all times. They won't make her get rid of it and I've already told my dad that she's too old for it. She's almost 8 years old. And the worst part is that they don't even wash the thing and it stinks! I'm so fed up with their stupid parenting skills ugh.
Question: Can someone give me their opinions or any advice to help my boyfriend out? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 12:06 PM PDT My boyfriend was raised by his mom and had no contact with his dad for 18 years. His mom got pregnant when she was a senior in high school and her boyfriend ( my boyfriends dad) left her and wanted nothing to do with the baby ( my boyfriend). My boyfriend knows who is dad is and has seen him, but has never talked to him or met him. Now my boyfriend turned 18 and his dad wants to meet him. Has anyone been in this situation before? My boyfriend is unsure if he wants to meet him because he has lived 18 year without a dad so why does his dad want to meet him now. Any advice or opinions?
Question: Girls, what should I do?!? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 11:58 AM PDT I broke up with my ex-boyfriend because he was a cheater (at least 3 times!) and verbal abuser. Anyway, I saw him recently at a party and he cornered me in a hallway. He started getting agitated and then said we "had to get back together." I said "no" and started to walk away when he grabbed my arm and twisted. I broke free and kicked him as hard as I could right in the balls with my pointed cowgirl boots! After I rocked his babymakers, he fell down and puked while I stood over him and asked him if he could taste his nuts. His face was priceless! I guess I nailed him so hard his nuts swelled up to the size of oranges and one ruptured and had to be removed (I play college soccer so I know how to blast a ballsack!). I feel a little bad about what happened but he is now saying he never mess with a girl again and he even wears an athletic cup all the time to protect his remaining family jewel. My girlfriends on the soccer team now call me the "nut remover" and say I should hang up a fake pair of nuts like a hunting trophy on a tombstone background with the words "RIP Brian's Nuts-Destroyed By Girl Power" since I sent his nuts to "nut heaven." Other people say I should hang up a guy's athletic cup as a symbol of female power over male weakness (guy's nuts are so vulnerable and they need the extra protection). Any other good nicknames? And what should I hang up? The nuts? The cup? Both? The more names and ideas the better! Be creative! Just wish more girls could experience blasting a jerk's balls! It is such a great feeling seeing a supposedly tough guy go down with one kick. Must suck to have nuts. They are just two targets dangling between a guy's legs! One shot and it is all over.

Question: Was I abused as a child? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 11:40 AM PDT I was talking with my partner after he had asked for some alone time. I panicked and he asked why I was so emotional over it, and I remembered something from when I was little. I'm a twin, so I'm never alone, ever. When we were kids, alone time was a punishment. When I was around 7, I had done something and my dad locked me upstairs. We've never really used our upstairs, the previous family ruined it, and at one point there were bees. A kid in my class had told me that my house was haunted because we live next to a cemetery. So while I was sitting upstairs alone, I was convinced I was going to die. My parents couldn't handle my crying anymore, so they let me come back downstairs and apologize for what I did. He told me that was abuse, but I never thought of it that way. Usually our dad would make us sit in other rooms until we were ready to apologize. He was big on spanking, and I never thought that was a big deal, but he's hit my sister and I each once. The time she got hit, our friend was with us, so it was more of just a smack. It was because we left gum wrappers in the car. When I got hit, he slapped me because I told him not to yell at my sister. He's also threatened us a few times, and once he cornered me in the kitchen and told me he'd hit me so hard I'd actually have something to cry about. He didn't, but I panicked because he'd already hit me once. He said that often, I'll give you something to cry about. Even now, he basically makes fun of us for crying. When he got angry at us, he would tell us that he didn't consider us his children, he didn't care about us, and if we didn't like it, we could leave. Then a few hours later, he'd tell us how much he loved us. I was terrified of the graveyard we lived next to, and he thought it was funny to make me upset, so he would tell me things like zombies were going to get me and drag me into the ground. I wish I could make this longer, but there's a character limit. I never remembered any of these things until now. My dad is generally loving, until he gets angry. He's never drunk or anything, although he does make beer with his friends. I'm 18 now, so I don't really think there's anything I can do about what happened. Was this abuse?
Question: How do I fix or handle this delicate and awkward situation? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 11:38 AM PDT I've been extremely ill since march and have lost about 18 pounds leaving me at 94 pounds since I have a chronic illness along with a stomach flu or virus that is all making me exhausted nauseous dizzy and weak. The last couple of days I've gotten worse again with the heat and few work days that I have to do. I had to drop the quarter at school in order to recover a bit since I've been in and out of the hospital. In the last two weeks my favorite uncle broke his leg and had surgery and is said to heal in 3 months so my mom told him to stay with us so as a family we can help take care of him. He is staying in my room while I'm sleeping in the living room. My mom and brother take care of him when they are off work and I help take care of him when I'm off. Taking care of him involves icing his leg feeding him giving him his meds making him comfortable and helping him in anything he needs. He likes being outside in the gazebo during the day but he is so particular in certain things like his food if you forget something he likes he makes you go inside and get him the hot sauce that I forgot for his breakfast or bringing his phone to charge a few times a day and making sure it does not stay connected after it charged because he does not like it to overcharge. What should I do?
Question: Does life get better? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 11:32 AM PDT Im 17, and for the past 3 or 4 years of my life, i have been miserable. I have no friends in school. I have never had a gf, and never had a girl like me before. im not the strongest, tallest, or smartest. I have no talents, i feel pretty useless and unneeded in the world. My family treats me like im a burden(not purposely), it feels like the world just sticks a big middle finger up at me. my penis is small, im short in height, and it feels like all the odds are stacked against me. I really cant wait to move out and just go to college and make friends, but i feel like thats not going to happen because for some reason life likes to push me down and keep me there. I sometimes wish i was never born, if i had no existence, all this pain would be gone. somedays i also wish i dont wake up the next morning. Im not suicidal, i wouldn't commit suicide, i would much rather die naturally, or in an accident. I keep waiting for things to get better, and keep hoping but it feels like things will never get better. The best part of my day is when i get to sleep and dream, i dream about things just being alright for me, and then have to wake up to misery.
Question: I've never been Abused but I HATE HATE HATE being touched? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 11:30 AM PDT I'm naturally a person who needs ALOT of alone time to function and I haven't been getting that lately. I've moved back home and now I babysit my nephew an average of 10 hrs a day. I HATE being touched. I don't like the lingering sensation I feel on my skin. My nephew is amazing. He's smart and very chill but he's a cuddle bear. he always wants to play, touch my face, cuddle up next to me, and sit on my lap. I hate it and I wish he wouldn't. I wasn't abused as a kid or as an adult (not sexually but I was bullied) or anything but I hate being touched. My relationship with my boyfriend went to shits 'cause he was always so touchy Feely and I couldn't reciprocate. In a year I want to be alone 95% of time, with others 4%, and I want to be touched 1% of time. If sex only last two minutes that's great! My instinctive reaction is to hit and shove anyone touching me. I never have and never would. As a matter fact, being aware of this makes it so that I'm extra careful when I touch others. Anyone else feel annoyed/violent when people touch them? what can I do about this feeling?
Question: Me and my sister are different now? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 11:26 AM PDT I don't feel as close to her as I did a few nights ago when i threw clothes on her in her sleep (DONT JUDGE ME) It was gonna be a prank so in the morning she would wake up in clothes. lol. it was 4am btw, and I wanted to show my sisters but one of them woke her up to tell her and she was SUPER pissy. How do I get closer to her again? :(
Posted: 06 Aug 2015 11:21 AM PDT When I said I wanted to die at school, people around me were concerned and the teachers in the classroom didn't know what to say. My parents found out and they were so angry they kept yelling and yelling the whole day. I told them people around me were concerned and they said because they think I am dumb. I was so confused. While I was at camp, I confessed to a girl I liked with a help from some of my crush's friends and she said she was flattered and then said it is best to be friends. Next, I just wanted to get to know her and I didn't know I was making her uncomfortable. I then went and apologized about what I did and I was forgiven. I told my parents and they were like, "They are all making fun of you. They are talking behind your backs."At school, I just wanted to talk to the girl, and I went on making her uncomfortable again and she got annoyed. The teachers contacted my parents about this and they were entirely angry. They were saying I only achieved rejection and the other people were making fun of me. They were comparing me to my little brother and saying he would do nothing like this. They were all yelling at me and yelling and on and on. I couldn't take it anymore. I am a sensitive person and imimmediatly feel guilty for what I have done because I thought I have commited sins and mostly, I have suicidal thoughts and I wished I didn't existed everytime I got yelled at. Is there anything wrong with me? I wish to know, please help
Question: How do I pretend that I was adopted by my father/he's not my real dad? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 11:17 AM PDT Today has been the last straw. Just to give you some background info on what he looks like, he's about 68 (I'm only 16), big pot belly, man boobs, and has combed back hair and wears flip flops with pants. He's also missing all his teeth except the one in the front at the top. Now before you start flaming at me, saying that I must be some degenerate piece of **** kid for not being proud of my father, let me just say he has been a terrible father figure. I'll spare the details because this question is already starting to get long. He's always embarrassing me. I go to an alternative school where it's one really big classroom with all the kids in there, and the teachers/principal are in the same room too. Today, he waltzed right in there while it was quiet and everyone was taking a test, and starts yelling and making a scene with the principal about why the work isn't hard enough for me, etc..the kids were staring and laughing, it was very embarrassing. Not the first time he's done this sort of stuff either. For one, I look nothing like him, people say this all the time. TL;DR: Dad makes big scene in front of whole school, the teacher calls him by [My name]'s father, so everyone knows he's my dad. How do I explain to people he's not my dad? I want to say he adopted me but how would I explain this? I wish I could say I'm making this up but I'm not, please help, I'm now being teased/bullied for this.

Question: Grandmother went through all my mail.? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 11:07 AM PDT So my grandmother messaged me on Facebook about something I shared. It was a funny picture. She wanted me to take it down. I told her she could hide the post if she wanted to. Then she told me I needed to delete my cousin off Facebook. Started throwing a massive fit about why couldn't I just listen to her. I deleted my cousin but kept the picture. I'm not close with her anyways. Next she calls my boyfriend and starts complaining to him about everything. Us being on the road all the time, his job, etc. We've been on the road, we spend quite a bit of time on the road. I love it. Lastly she tells me she's opened all my mail, all my bills, and started getting pissed because I have credit card debit. I don't have money right now to pay it off so I just toss it. I'll pay it when I can but that approach isn't ok with her. I'm turning 26 in a few weeks. I live in the same town and I don't get why all of a sudden she's trying to control what I post on Facebook and opening all my mail. I mean I'm 4 years from 30...my mistakes are my own, my decisions are my own and my debt is my own. Apparently when I get back into town we're "going to have a talk" and I'm "going to have some major changes" when I get back. Aren't I a little old for this?

Question: Parents are fighting, HELP!? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 10:51 AM PDT So my Mom and Dad are fighting. They ve been married for twenty years! Both of my parents are Mexican immigrants; crossed the border illegally, now legal citizens. Anyways, my dad is 52 years old, and worked hard all of his life, and still does! He works everyday(8 hours a day and labor intensive) and pays the bills. However, when he gets home he doesn t do anything! He s a hard ***, also, very stuck on his decisions. My mom barley works(15-20 hours a week and retail), but she does most of the house work and yard work. My mom is getting pissed and getting very emotional: crying, anger, pretty much emotional instability for the past two months. I m eighteen years old, I know this isn t my problem, but it s my family. I don t want something bad to happen over something stupid. Please help, its been stressing me out lately.
Question: Why don't little kids respect their older siblings? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 10:45 AM PDT I cussed out the little **** (He's ten) and even went so far as too take his Xbox away and so he literally tilts his nose in the air and walks into his room, locking the door.

Question: My father had an affair.? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 10:42 AM PDT My father had an affair and I have all kinds of proof and I don't wish to be in contact with him any more. He has also done really shitty things like stating that he never wanted kids and that getting married was a mistake. I'm a teenager and he's nearing 50. How do I bring this up?
Question: My family doesn't care about me or my future? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 10:40 AM PDT It's taken me a while to come to terms with it, but I've finally come to the realization that my family doesn't care about me or what happens to me as I grow into an adult. They ignore me when I try to speak to them, and interrupt me whenever I do get the chance. I'm 15, almost 16, yet they treat me as though I'm 5. My grades are low because of other unrelated problems, but instead of sitting down with me and talking to me about it, they just shrug it off. We aren't the richest family, however I do have dreams and aspirations just like every other person. Most of which are probably unreachable. Still, I'd like to think I have a chance if I just tried. In order for this to happen, I'd have to go to university - which is costly. My friend's family is in the same financial situation as mine, except her parents started saving up for her future when she was very young. They treat her more like a daughter than mine could ever bother to treat me, and I just can't understand why they have so little faith in me. My mum just recently came into a lot of money; money I was hoping she'd invest a little of into my future savings (which is non-existent) But instead she's decided to buy herself a new car, and some things for my younger cousin. I've always been scared of the future, but not for the right reasons such as 'excitement' for perusing your dreams or the feeling of being independent and living by yourself. I'm just... me. What can I do?
Posted: 06 Aug 2015 10:38 AM PDT I'm moving out soon, so don't make that one of the suggestions
Posted: 06 Aug 2015 10:28 AM PDT also when I went over to my dads place about the abuse all he did was send me back over there, and my stepdad yelled at me in my face for 15 minutes a few months later over waffles and I got like some sort of mild PTSD from all the yelling and no one did anything help, that's kinda funny.
| Question: I need family advice pleaseee!!!? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 10:24 AM PDT I am married we're both 25, my husband and I have been together for 5 years but been married for 3 months, we've been living together on ourthe own for 3 years. Well, for 4 months we've been saving money to buy a house because we want our own and not rent. Well once we got married my husband's 82 year old grandad asked could we move in with him to help him out like cook for him, clean his house , nothing bad, we thought about it and figured this could help us save faster instead renting and utilities.so we agreed, we clean cook for him and always buy groceries. Every month we like to we stay 3 days/nights at my husband's parents house or my parents house, just to spend quality time with our parents. His grandad has 2 kids that stay 103 mins down the road from him & he act like we cant go anywhere or stay off. He always rushing us to come back, we can never enjoy ourselves, he has GOOD sense and walk and bend down perfectly fine he can bathe and feed hisself, we just dont mind helping at all because regardless he is old. | Question: Im having a hard time accepting my soon to be step-son and his behavior? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 10:13 AM PDT Im engaged to be married. I have three boys; 11, 18 and 19. My fiance has a son who is 9. My two older boys just go do their own thing and are in college. So usually it is me, my fiance and the two younger boys when he has his son on the weekends and vacations. I literally cannot stand it. My kids are not angels. By far. But his son's behavior annoys me to no end. He refuses to eat. Did I mention he is 9 and not 2? He screeches all the time instead of talking, high pitch screaming, he talks like a baby all the time. I mean really bad "baby waby talkie walkie". Everytime we go out to eat, he sits at the table says "I have a bewy ache", like a baby and starts holding his stomach. He is faking because as soon as we leave, all the sudden he is better. It is a battle between my fiance and him ALL THE TIME. I can't stand to be around him for more than a day. He wont even walk down steps without "being afwaid daddy". Really? He is scared of my puppy who does nothing but lick people. He told his mother that she bit him so bad he couldnt walk the rest of the weekend. She never went near him. When my fiance questioned him he admitted he told her that even though it wasnt true!! He is genuinely in shock when things dont go his way, and starts to cry. I cant stand him. I know its not nice, but I cant and I don't know what to do. I cant marry my fiance and have to put up with this brat for the next 10 years. |
Question: Do you think it's right for my sister? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 10:08 AM PDT To ask for $200.00 for kid's clothes?
Posted: 06 Aug 2015 10:05 AM PDT So I have asked my mom before if I could live with my dad and she said I couldn t for my best interest. Now I want to try again. My reasons are 1. I m more depressed and get upset easier over here (at moms) 2. It makes me feel like I m not part of something 3. There are so many kids and with my issues it s puts a lot of stress on my mom and i which isn t healthy. 4. He gives me attention that I need as a 14 year old and with my mom it s really hard to have one-on-one time with her 5. My dad and I have a better bond and we connect more on a social and emotional level 6. My stepmom is always very loving and accepting, my step dad makes me feel odd and different from the family 7. They force they re religion on me. 8. I have more opportunities to get out of the house instead of being stuck in the house all day. - Are those strong reasons? My mom always says its bc I don t have my electronics but at my dads for what I got in trouble for i would have the same punishment. How do I make this happen. I m 14 My dad said he was okay with me moving in I just need good enough reasons for my mom Should he talk to her? Or should I? (She doesn t take me seriously) Help please

Question: Why does my dads best friend always be really nice to my little brother but not me? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 09:42 AM PDT I'm a 13 year boy and my little brother is 9 My dads friend is awesome and always at our house he stays sometimes and he's looking after us for a month he always says to my brother like 'well done buddy good job' for stupid things and he never says that to me and he's always talking to my brother too but not me I'm going to do be realllllly annoying to him tonight
Question: How can I make my husband see that we need to save money? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 09:25 AM PDT My husband has a good job, and I'm lucky to make $30 per night in tips I just got this job though. We have been living in a motel for almost a year (9 months) All I want is to save enough money to move into a rental (first month, security, utilities) he makes this impossible! Since I don't make much, I get the "it's my money, I don't work my *** off six days a week in the heat to not be able to buy anything for myself" speech. He used to give me his checks to save & take care of the finances, he knows hes no good at saving, now he dosent want to do that anymore. He's always wanting to eat expensive food or buy lunches instead of packing them, he pays for convienience (laziness.) While I'm basically not eating (I can just eat at work) all I buy is gas because I'm scared of what he will spend. I almost cried yesterday spending $7 on soap and shampoo while that same night he let $70 go on drinks with friends. What can I do to get him to see how important it is to help me save some money? We're paying almost $200 week for our motel, so we could afford a nice home if we could get together the down payment. He has to stop with the candy bars, slushies & thinking that $5 here & there dosent add up to a lot!! I'm at my wit's end here & am on the verge of giving up. I feel like he really needs to grow up & stop being selfish & eat bologna sandwiches instead of steak with me in order to have a future! I suffer, he can too if he loved me he'd suffer with me for the good of our family.
Question: I don't want to go to my moms? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 09:23 AM PDT So I'm a 13 year old girl and my parents got divorced 2 years ago when my mom cheated on my dad. I live with my dad in Colorado. My mom lives in Wyoming in an apartment with her boyfriend. My mom makes me come stay with her every other weekend. My mom is so rude to me and her boyfriends even worse!!! He called me a worthless piece of sh*t and my mom just laughed. I HATE THEM!!!
Question: My entire extended family caught me watching porn...what do I do now? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 09:21 AM PDT So, today my family is having a reunion, and my relatives from far and wide have come. I chatted for a little and spent some time with my family, then I went into my room to watch a little porn. Everything went well until one of my extended relatives walked in on me and saw me watching porn. He got shocked, and called for my mom to see what I was doing. Everyone heard and started rushing over to my room. I managed to get out of my room before everyone came in. They crammed into my room and saw the porn I was watching. Then they all turned to me. I felt SO embarrassed, SO bad, and SO anxious. I then ran out the door crying, and I didn't stop until I hit the has station, which is about a km from my house. Now I'm standing behind the gas station, crying, typing this on my phone before my parents pull my data, and I feel horrible. Now my ENTIRE family knows that I watch porn, and I don't think I can ever show my face to them ever again. What do I do now? Follow my question?
| Question: Should I cut my dad out of my life? Please Help? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 09:20 AM PDT Well i m 17 almost 18 and my parents divorced when I was 5 I'm an only child because I am adopted. My dad has schizophrenia and he takes his meds. I don't see him a lot, only once a year when he comes to visit me. | Question: Movie Theatre Killings? Why? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 09:18 AM PDT Why are movie theatre killings becoming more and more .. i wouldn't really say "popular" but rather... happening more and more often... Like why do people decide to go to movie theatre's, where people decide to take their family and have fun after a hard week of work, only to kill them? What has this world come to? At times it seems like our world is getting worse off rather than better. What do you think? |
Question: Was my mum right to shout at me? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 09:09 AM PDT Basically about 30-35 minutes ago, I was walking back into the living room with a coffee with my hand. As I was walking into the room, my brother who's 2 years younger than me came out of nowhere and screamed "BOO" at me. It frightened me so much that I managed to spill coffee over my mum's favourite dress. My mum discovered it stained and started shouting at me. She called me an irresponsible child. I said it was my brother's fault because he frightened me, making me spill some of the coffee on the dress. But my brother denied it so that I could get in trouble. My mum is now forcing me to get her a new dress, when it should be my brother getting a new dress. Was my mum right to shout at me and punish me?
Question: Why does my brother just give up, not try or chicken out on EVERYTHING?!? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 09:08 AM PDT He's maybe lazy and spoiled and know people will comfort him and let him be lazy. Why does this happen?
Question: Does this sound crazy to you? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 09:04 AM PDT After a lot of study and research I plan to be frozen on my death. EVERYONE I have told about this says I am crazy. They keep telling me that once you die and are in heaven or hell in my case you can not get out. You can NEVER come back to life. I try to explain my reasoning for being frozen with this story. Say it is 1915 and a doctor says that someday when you have a heart problem, a doctor will go to the morgue and cut the heart out of a dead person, then cut your heart out, replace it with the heart from the dead person and you will continue to live. In 1915 that doctor would have been labeled as totally crazy and probably lose his/her license to practice medicine. 100 years later, this is a common medical practice. My point is that medicine makes rapid advances and no one can predict what can be done in the future. They might find a way cure what killed you and revive you if your body is still in the same condition as when you died. Does what I plan to do sound crazy to you? Your opinion please.
Question: Is my daughters dad phasing her out of his life or is it just me? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 08:47 AM PDT My daughter is 14. My ex and I broke up (we were never married) when she was 4. He was always a good dad to her, for the most part. His weekends were always kept and he made the effort to come to everything she was involved in, school concerts, games, etc. He got married two years ago. My daughter didn't like her stepmother from the beginning, though I did encourage her to give her a chance. She told me there was just something about her. I thought maybe it was jealousy or her just not wanting her dad to marry someone. Over the last couple of years, things have slowly changed. My husband gave my daughters bedroom in his house to his two stepdaughters (whom he didn't know existed until last year when they moved back in with their mom). My daughter was relocated to the box room and later to the family office, which only has a sofa bed because the box room is now a place to store junk. He's missing weekends here and there. He doesn't turn up to parents conferences and spends no alone time with her. I've tried to speak to my ex, but his wife always interferes and he always leaves it to her. She told me last month that they got rid of the door in the office because they wanted to make it more accessible to her daughters and them. So now my daughter sleeps on a sofa bed in a room with no door and her dad is starting to drop her. My daughter has become very upset about all this. But am I overreacting? I have tried, several times actually. He won't answer his phone, only she (his wife) does. And I've even tried going to his house and emailing him. No response. He won't even come up to the door with my daughter when he drops her off now. So it's almost impossible to talk to him and that's frustrating. My daughter has tried talking to him yes. And yes, I have tried calling him at work. He never answers or calls me back, even when I leave a message.
Question: My family thinks I'm ignoring them, how do I stop it? Posted: 06 Aug 2015 08:45 AM PDT Recently I've been spending a lot of time online and with my boyfriend. My family and I are really close, closer then normal teenagers are with their families but they still feel like a hi from me isn't enough, and whenever they are home they watch tv that I've already seen or don't like. How do I spend more time with them without doing something I hate?
