Question: My mother just old me she hates me over and over ...Don't know how to feel about this ? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 01:46 PM PDT So I'm 22,all my life my mother has emotionally abused me.Shes always been up and down..sometimes she's so nice and then the next she's the Devil..so I was depressed majority of my life because I thought I was worthless and stupid. So today we were suppose to go over my brothers house for my nephews party and my mom gets nervous around public settings..and I HAD A FEELING THis was gonna happen, but since this morning she was in that mode again I felt it, and then bam literally at the last moment she starts screaming at the top of her lungs.she hates me and that I upset her ,and that Im selfish ? Etc etc . Told me to get out of her house ... I got all ready and then she starts this. So I'm in tears right now shaking and I didn't end up going because I look and feel like a mess.Im literally thinking about taking my cat and moving to florida with my dad.Ive done everything for my mother including pay HER bills.Ive been through so much and I'm so distgusted that I didn't even make to my nephews party today . Mentally I feel like I'm gone right now ... I just can't believe this happened right now and this still goes on : I never did anything to her
Question: Teenage girls who can drive would you have done this? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 01:46 PM PDT I just got home from taking my younger sister to her friends house. Since it was hot out and I did not go in anyplace and came right back home I just drove in my bare feet and did not bring my shoes.
Question: My bf can't get close to me because of my family? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 01:41 PM PDT Literally my family is dsyfuctional and he can't get close to me because of the drama daily with them. He is afraid if he starts coming around they will direct bs towards him. It's actually blocking me from meeting someone because of my family's behavior. I will never have a love life because of my family and their bs. Right now he is wishy washy because of how they are. He doesn't want to get caught up in drama by them. The ongoing stress of my family is causing stress on me and my relationship. I am seeking housing for me and my 3 kids. Better housing and a better life the whole point of me being at my mom's is to help her because she doesn't have an income. Right now trying to put me and my kids first.
Question: How to deal with overprotective parents??? Help me!!!!? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 01:37 PM PDT I m 13 years old and throughout most of my life, my parents are super overprotective. I have tons of rules and regulations in my house and some of them get on my nerves. I m not allowed to date, I can t hang out with friends, I m not allowed to use makeup, I can t go to sleepovers, I m not allowed to do my hair because my mom said that I have naturally curly hair but I already know how to do hair. Even at school, I can do anyone s hair no matter how curly or straight their hair is. I have headaches now and then because of crying and I sing my favorite songs now and then to make me stop crying. I m starting to turn into a rebel. I love my parents and all but I just want to be free. I m also having some problems at school where people bully me because I m a quiet person. Please help!!!

Question: What should I do about my dad? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 11:54 AM PDT I'm 17, and my dad and me have started getting along really well lately, except, this is my senior year in high school. He's talking about moving next year, to another state. And that's fine, but he makes it sound like I have no choice but to go with them (I'll be 18 soon). And I recently found out he's been throwing out my college brochures because since we're "moving anyway," they're trash. This really bothered me, and I told him that. He said I was making up some "magical college" that he was somehow screwing me out of. That he was somehow ruining my future. And to be honest, yeah I could go to college anywhere, but, I feel as though it's unfair to make that decision for me. I also mentioned that I wanted to live in a dorm and he said "Cool. You can pay for it." I was planning on working to pay for it anyway, but the way he said it clearly says he doesn't want me too, and he will in no way support it. (His tone of voice implied this) Should I stay in my home state to put some space between us and to sort of stand up for my independence? Or should I go with them and stay in a dorm and still have difficulties breaking away? I know he wants me to stay his baby forever, and I'll always be his little girl, I love him, but I'm growing up whether he likes it or not.. I don't want him to be upset with me, but this is my time to experience the real world.
Question: Is it right for parents to go theough their kids personal things? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 11:32 AM PDT My parents go thru my emails and messeges and history and go thru my texts and i hate beimg out of the house incase they go thru my room and find like my diary or rants or my old art or mpve any of my stuff. i was wondering what everyone else thinks of this because i personally think its a great way to loose trust.
Posted: 05 Aug 2017 11:31 AM PDT My parents are making me do **** around our farm while they don't do anything, I'm not overreacting. To add to that, my older siblings don't do anything either. Everyone behaves to me like I'm to blame for everything and so on. So now I decided to move to the city in 1 year and two months when I'll be 18 Any tips?

Posted: 05 Aug 2017 11:22 AM PDT My mom was giving me a hug but she was drenched in sweat from the gym so I asked her to stop politely Because I thought it was gross. She didn't stop I asked her another 3 times to stop she didn't . I tried removing her arm but she squeezed tighter. I did push her off me with enough force to get her off but not hard enough to hurt her or make her fall. Do I have a right to push someone off u if u ask them to stop touching u . Anyways she got real mad and said I have to walk from and to football pratice as punishment . Each way is 1 mile which is not a lot but that's a extra 2 miles a day in the heat on top of a 3 hr football pratice . Do I deserve this punishment or is she just being lazy by not driving 1 mile. And I am not old enough to drive but I do have a permit. And she also told me that I am lucky I didn't get knocked out she said her natural instinct was to knock me out but she restrained herself what mother natural instinct is to knock their kid out . And my dad can't help bc he's not envolved in my life.

Question: Why do i get treated differently compared to my brother? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 10:42 AM PDT My parents got a devorice when i was four and my dad remarried when i was 6. They had my younger brother when i was 7. When he was born i was happy the as the year went on my parents started to act colder twoards me. My little brother being the star of everything. Including some late birthday parties. Im aware my life is different from his. He has both parents in the same house, no fighting or anything. I try not to say anything that would make me sound like a spoiled or ungrateful. He gets everything though. New games, toys, consoles. I dont know how to deal, help?
Question: Can you think of a reason my mom did not tell me about this? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 10:35 AM PDT I was hanging out with my cousin at my aunt and uncle's house and we were looking through their photo albums. They had several pictures of my mom when she was in high school. One was of mom in her cheer leaders uniform. She sure looked cute in that picture. Another was her when she was homecoming queen. She was gorgeous. I think she was the prettiest female I have ever seen. Was she ever beautiful? My aunt said "Did you know your mom was homecoming queen all 4 years she was in high school"? I had never seen these pictures and mom had never mentioned she was a cheerleader and homecoming queen. I asked my aunt to make copies of these pictures for me and she did. Can anyone think of a reason mom would not tell her daughter about her being a home coming queen and a cheer leader? Mom has a birthday coming up next week and is having a party and many of her friends will be here. I want to make a large birthday card that say "Happy Birthday to my beautiful mother". "I am proud of you". "Your daughter". I would like her friends to see how beautiful she was as homecoming queen. I plan to attach these pictures to the birthday card. Mom has NOT gained a lot of weight and still looks the same as her high school pictures. She is still beautiful. Please give me some feedback what you think of my plan.
Question: My last name isn't actually mine? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 10:33 AM PDT If I tell the court I want to change my last name to my original last name because when my parents came to America they put a different last name, will I have to wait 1 month to 6 months for it to change? I heard that it can be changed in a couple of days for a valid reason. Is my reason good? I have been asking my dad for a whole year to do this and he doesn't want to do it because he thinks it's too tiresome to change everything on paper..

Question: What are signs of a parent being a narcissistic parent? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 09:34 AM PDT Trying to figure out if my husband's mother is a narcissistic parent and how it might impact him or if she is just not the most forgiving. She loves her daughter more then words can describe and hates her other son more then words can describe. My husband was always the "other child". She didn't do anything special for him but she also never mistreated him. She was busy spoiling her daughter or destroying the public image of her other son. Meanwhile she has ridiculously high expectations which is why she hates the one son who was not perfect. The son she hates is hated for doing very normal teenage mistakes. Like he talked back sometimes and my mother-in-law describes it as raging. The other symptom is when one of her kids would be having problems in childhood my husband said she always made it about her and how she felt. She would help the golden daughter out and criticize and devalue the "black sheep" son. My husband was given some sympathy but no where near the favorite child (the only daughter). Now my mother-in-law can also be very charitable. I would think a narcissist has no charity but my mother in law helped a number of foster children when my husband was a kid. She also regularly helped a niece who was overcoming drug addiction. So is this narcissistic parenting or not? My husband always feel forgotten though not mistreated the way his brother feels. His brother is now estranged from the family and my mother-in-law makes herself victim in that.
Question: So I messed up again with my parents? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 09:28 AM PDT My parents found me on an app called whisper and i got this girls number and she was saying explicit things including sexual things.. my parents found out and went me sent away back to TX and they don't want to support me at all. im 16 gonna be 17 soon in feb. i have issues with friends and i always **** up… help
Posted: 05 Aug 2017 09:27 AM PDT Like she and my Mom are united in their hatred for their brother. Thus, they are now friends. Fifteen years ago when I was a teen my aunt hated my mother and did so with such a burning passion that when she saw me she had to tell me how bad my Mom was. This is the same aunt who badmouths her ex-husband to her kids (his children) and it drove her son away from her. So is this unhealthy behavior or is this how all people are? My mother is the same way just not as intense as this sister of hers.
| Question: I broke something of my moms!? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 09:09 AM PDT My mom let me borrow her expensive sunglasses and after was fone using them, I put them in my purse and put my purse in my room and then today I opened my purse up to give them back and they are broken! | Question: I don't feel connected to my family. It's like I don't fit in? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 08:50 AM PDT I don't fit in my family. My dad passed away long time ago. My brother and younger sister are very connected to my mom. But I don't feel that way. I wasn't raised by my mother the way they were. Except looks, my personality is nothing like them. I feel like an outcast in my own house. We stay together but don't talk much. I love them but I just feel very lonely in my own family. Is this normal? |
Question: How can I ask my husband to give me oral? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 08:48 AM PDT no ive never told him. im very shy and he is very serious,we never talk about sexual things we just do it and he is the only one who enjoys btw he is 20 years older than me
Question: I was molested by my cousins.? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 08:45 AM PDT It started when I was about 3 years old up until I was 5. They were a bit older than me, the three of them being about 6 to 8. We were all girls and cousins. They were living with my family at the time. I've never told anyone about the things they did, not even my parents. They would touch me inappropriately and make me do the same to them. They told me we were just playing a game where one of the cousins would act as the boy and I would be the girl or vice versa. They made me do oral sex on them at an age we didn't even know what that word meant. I didn't know it was wrong, just that I wasn't supposed to tell anyone. We did other sexual things that make me feel sick just thinking about it. I still feel disgusted with myself, I know I could've stopped it. It was my fault I let them do that to me. They did it on a daily basis, and no one even knew. I was too embarrassed and ashamed to tell anyone. Not even my girlfriend knows, I'm sure she'd be disgusted with me if I did tell her.
Question: How Do I Get My Parents To Loosen Up? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 08:34 AM PDT I seriously need my parents to give me more liberties. I'm not allowed to make my own plans on the weekend. Mind you, I'm 17 years of age. That's something that you start doing around 13 years old. They don't understand the concept of going somewhere just to hang out. So the majority of my summer has been rejecting invitations to places and playing video games for a good portion of my day. Then they have the audacity to complain that I don't want to do anything and that I'm extremely antisocial! Instead of making up plans on the spot and going out the the same day like a normal teenager would, I have to submit a request to go out a week in advance, make sure it correlates with their schedule, and then get told that I never notified them about the plans and go to the event on bad terms. As a matter of fact, I'm not allowed outside the house unless it's for a clear purpose. There is no curfew. My female friends have more liberty than I do. Dont get me wrong either, im a good kid. I dont smoke, dont drink, havent even got suspended before. Sure, my grades could use some work by bumping up all my C's to B's but other than that, I'm a good kid. Anyways, sorry for the rant. My question is how can I get them to give me more liberties?
Question: Family hardly gets invited anywhere? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 08:23 AM PDT we always seem to have guests over on the weekend, however we are hardly ever invited anywhere ourselves, the only people that really have us over are my dads parents and thats usually because they want work done at there house, we go to there house on christmas day but on christmas eve we are rarley invited anywhere,my aunt usually has a big party on christmas eve and we were invited this past year. but there where times before we weren't invited at all and my dad almost literally invited ourselves (we showed for coffee but missed the dinner) even today my aunt is having my uncle over but for some reason they didnt invite us even though we literally have them here every week. and even when we invite my aunt and her family over they rarely stay long. so am I being selfish here or making something outta nothing or do I have a point, thanks. btw i am 17,my bro is 20 sis is 13 and my parents are in there 40s
Question: Mom miserable at new job (no mean comments I m already stressed out enough..)? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 08:20 AM PDT So my mom got a new job and she has been a stay at home mom for me for 14 years. She LOVED cleaning and being at home, gardening, taking care of me and just having time to do stuff. Since she started work she doesn t get weekends off and usually only has one day off a week. She says her co workers are very rude people and her boss is not nice either. The only reason she started work was to make my dad happy because we were always low on money. But she doesn t care about money and material items, she s a minimalist. She cares about being happy. Every god damn day she brings up how much she hates her job then I try to help her and say "Well you don t HAVE TO WORK.." and she gets mad and says "STOP BRINGING UP WORK!" I don t know what to do. She s always in a bad mood and never has time for anything. She constantly yells at everyone and I cannot take it. Every day before work she sighs CONSTANTLY and stomps around all mad. I ask her what s wrong and she gets irritated and says "I HAVE TO GO TO WORK." I am only 14 I don t know what to do! She goes to work just to make my dad happy. He loves when she gets a paycheck. It s so sad. But then again she is rude to everyone AND IF SHE QUITS MY DAD WILL BE FURIOUS. Please help.
Question: Do I have a toxic mom? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 07:49 AM PDT When i were 9 yrs old (well now i'm 19), my mom told me to stop talking to my elder brother who is 4 years elder than me. we were fighting a lot like any siblings would do.I was a child and i was always listening to her at that time. even if we live in the same house, we never spoke to each other. And my mom always complains about me to my bro which makes him hate me. My brother gets all the priority from my mom because she always tell me that his son is strength, her life. My mom's problem is that I'm a GIRL.
Question: Did my mom technically steal from my brothers? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 07:48 AM PDT My mom is living with us (even though her and my dad are divorced but she doesn't have a place to stay) and she's an alcoholic and doesn't have a job to pay for her own beer (she gets alimony every month but she can't wait that long) So last night, she went into my oldest brother's room and stole 5 of his beers that were in only an 8 pack. That 8 pack costed around 35 dollars, which is a lot of his pay check. His job doesn't pay good. She drank them, then told him AFTER she drank them that she took two and he was okay when he heard that "she took two" But just now, he looked and there were only three left. He was REALLY angry and insisted that she was stealing and she doesn't think she did. She also took 9 dollars in change from my other brother last night. Is she stealing?
Question: How can I fix/deal with the effects of social media affecting my family? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 07:24 AM PDT My family is really being psychologically manipulated by social media and it is honestly bothering me. My cousin is getting married to a girl my family has met maybe 6 times and she's a nice girl. My mom doesn't really know her, but for a shower gift asked everyone to chip in and buy her a Vitamix blender at $900. No I'm not kidding. This really bothered me. My mom told me about her Target gift registry too and it had trendy impulsive items on it for styles and "amazing" finds. I had to work 2 jobs in college and I had to go out and buy a can opener myself to open cans. My cousin had his car windows tinted and he posted a lot of pictures of his car on social media about how great his car is. Lots of people get windows tinted. He's not Jesus. My dad got upset because when I was born he bought a new car to take me places because he had a baby. A baby!! He took a photo and put in an album. He didn't brag to everyone he could afford a car because he had a baby. How do I deal?
Posted: 05 Aug 2017 06:50 AM PDT This is a grown woman 60+ years old. She has a mass of hair that goes down her back, tied with ribbons, rubber bands, even pieces of fabric. It drags on the ground. She never washes it. In fact the bathtub/shower at her home look like they have not been used in years ... same with her washing machine. The house is a filthy mess with flies all over. She has two cars both of which are filled with junk (as is her house). If we try to get her to wash clothes or get the hair cut she goes into screaming, foot stomping fits. She refuses to see a phychiatrist.
Question: I think my dad is cheating on my mom?? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 06:01 AM PDT I'm 14 years old and a girl. Last night I got in bed early because I was supposed to have a softball tournament today but it got canceled because of rain. Anyways, my little brother, who is almost 11, came into my room with my dad's phone because he saw something that he was suspicious of. My dad usually deletes all his texts but I never knew why. The contact name was Stevie and there were tons of personal texts on there, such as where my games were the past week and what times, what my brother won on his lottery ticket yesterday (it was only five dollars), and even what pickles he (my dad) bought me for the Italian sub he was made me. There was much more, and it was all stuff he didn't even tell my mom. At first I thought it was a guy who my dad was friends with, but then I saw that he sent texts such as "hey sexy", "honey", and "I love you". I didn't read any more because I was shaking. The other person also said something about wanting to meet up. The reason I think it's a girl is because "Stevie" sent a mirror selfie of a girl in a thong or something, but her face was turned so you couldn't see her face, and my dad said, "I'm throbbing." I wanted to throw up when I saw that. So my brother and I went downstairs and I woke up my dad and asked who Stevie was, and he was like "what idk who's that" but he had such a weird tone to his voice that I knew he was lying.

Question: I'm being left out of family pictures and it bothers me. Should I confront my mom? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 05:08 AM PDT Stepfather keeps sharing pictures of himself, my mom and half siblings as a family on social media but always leaves me out. They don't even tell me when taking pictures. Its a small thing but it still hurts. Its the little things that really shows how people feel about you. I'm male!! @Anon- Its not about the stupid pictures but its about my mother. I don't care about any of the others.
Question: How do I get out of having to see my toxic mother and a toxic sister I have? Posted: 05 Aug 2017 04:23 AM PDT By toxic I mean their behavior is poisonous. I am an adult so not required to see them but I don't want to be in trouble with the rest of the family for not seeing them.
Posted: 05 Aug 2017 04:21 AM PDT She has narcissism and so as a narcissistic mother she hates this one son as the "black sheep" child. He was ADHD growing up so not the best student and would lie about things like his homework. All very normal kid mistakes but this aunt feels kids don't make mistakes. Her other child, her daughter, is like God to her. That daughter is infallible and never made a mistake since about age 5 and wept the one time she hurt her Mom's feelings as a teenager. The son would do the normal talking back of teens. He is now 25 and still hated by his mother who tries to get us to hate him with the same passion. My Mom is similar when mad at someone but has never hated any of her own children. So how can I be a friend to this cousin whose own mother hates him? His father left the picture long ago.

Question: Mom buys tons of **** and the whole house is messy. Please help!? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 11:56 PM PDT Ok so my family and I are a family of six. We farm and ranch and live in a farmhouse from the 1960s. My mother is a "stay at home mom" (which I think is a excuse for lazy) and all she does is buy crap with dads money. She goes to garage sales all the time and buys stupid ****, one Tim I was driving with her, she went into a neighborhood and I asked "where are we going?" And she said she s picking some stuff up. She bought somebody s wardrobe dresser. I asked "where are you gonna put this?" And she said "none of your business!" She will always bring up that if we save about 2000 dollars a month (instead of 5000 a month, we spend 3000) we can go to Mexico again by the end of the year. Then us kids bring up "that means you have to stop buying crap" and then she snaps at us and says we are so rude and how we need to respect her. Some days, she says "we are finally going to clean up the house!" And then us kids will try to help. So, all of this stuff is random **** right? So we will ask "where does this go?" And she will start yelling at us! I really want to clean the house, but she is a hoarder and doesn t want to throw away any of the useless **** she always buys! Please give advice! Photo as attached. (I Only took photos in about 3 rooms of the 12-13 rooms that we have. Also, pictures took at night) http://imgur.com/a/d91CE
Question: What makes a narcissist they way they are? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 11:45 PM PDT My step-dad is really controlling. He gets mad and threatens people when he doesn't get things his way. He never lets my mom out of the house by herself and treats everyone like his pet. He hates that fact that people like me, and the fact that i have friends. He's taken everything away from me, and called me a slut because i talk to boys too. He tells me who i can and can't talk to, who to be, how to act. I've never gotten the opportunity to be myself or enjoy the things i'd like because with him it's always NO. I'm only 15, and the fact that he's gotten so much control over me, and takes advantage of me and everyone else in the house is so sickening. I'm tired of it. I want everyone to see the way he truly is, and not the act that he puts up. I'm tired of him getting his way in every situation. I've always promised myself till this day that he will never be apart of my life when i get older. I can't have negative energy around me anymore. It's blocking me from so many opportunities, and the scary thing is, even when you defend yourself towards him sometimes it can get physically violent. He's abusive. I wish my mother and the other kids would see through that. Why is he like this?
Question: Is my mom supportive? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 11:27 PM PDT My mom never supports me. everything that I share with her either she scolds me or she tell my secret to my dad aunts and grandma. Its like I cannot trust her at all. She never provides her support because she is never here when I need her. she prefer to watch the tv than talking to me. And when i tell her I need to go somewhere like an excursion with my friends, she tells me that I'm stressing herself and she would live the house id I do not stop stressing her. Its not a reason. She is so dramatic.
Question: I need advice on dealing with my mom...? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 11:04 PM PDT My mom has always tried to make me feel bad for everything I do. She recently found out my dad was cheating on her and whenever I hear her badmouthing him I stick up for him because he's always seemed to care about me more. When I do that, she gets mad and says "why don't you go back to your father!" "You always insult me" or she eventually starts crying and turns everyone against me. She was lying about me the other day and I called her out on it and her brother started yelling at me and she defended him! It was scary and I started crying because I was feeling so hopeless and unloved. When I tell her how much I'm suffering because of everything that's happened, she ALWAYS says "I'm suffering more." She turns it into a competition of who was the most negatively affected by the situation. She also says "Your younger siblings understand what your father did, why can't you? You're the only one who doesn't support me." She gets mad cause even though he did what he did, I don't hate him and I don't want to shut him out of my life and move to Mexico to live with her family. She always has a way of making me feel bad for whatever reason and I can never talk to her about anything without her maki g me feel worse. When I do something as little as complain about something she says "Leave me alone. You're bothering me." She's expecting me to support her when she's treating me like this? I don't know what to do and I don't know how to put up with her. Any suggestions?
Question: My sister ignores me. Should I just forget her and move on? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 10:59 PM PDT I am 23. I have a19 year old sister. We have always been kind of close (lived together and stuff like normal sibling's) well I moved our years ago. We still have our "sister problems) sometimes. Last time it was because she was acting like a shot and talking about me and I didn't even really get mad but I did get kind of defensive. We quit talking for about a month but then I tried talking to her and she completely ignored me. Should I just forget about her snob a$$?

Question: What's normal for a teenager to feel when her older, teenage, sister is pregnant? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 10:12 PM PDT We just found out my sister is pregnant last night. This will be my first niece/nefu so of course i like babies(as long as it aint mine) and im excited. My parents have money, we aren't poor, but our house is really small so me and my sister share a room.i feel selfish. I sleep on the couch right now and there's not enough room for anything else in my bedroom. I'm scared because I feel like everything is going to be taken away from me. I have an older sister that is disabled and mentally not there also and im afraid if my parents are busy taking care of my older sister, a new baby, and making sure my sister stays in school there won't be anyone to take care of me. I'm only 15 and I feel like I'm still a baby and I don't want to have to make room for a baby. I feel like this isn't normal and I'm being overly selfish but I'm in advanced placement classes, and I'm a junior in highschool. How am I gonna study and get to sleep on time to get up and be at school if theres baby keeping me up all night?
Question: Parents call me stupid? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 09:56 PM PDT every time i dont understand a math problem, my mom calls me stupid and i tell her that it brings me down and she thinks i reserve it. When i tell her to stop she just yells in my face and sometimes slaps me. what do i do?
Question: Can you call a police officer to your home for counseling? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 09:50 PM PDT My parents are on the brink of separation and have been fighting with each other for years. My brother is a trouble maker and that is kand of a catalyst for my parents to get into an argument. They have tried marriage counseling but it didnt help at all. I feel that if a person of the law with authority can come and try to help my parents communicate they might get along again.
Question: Best way to contact my brother if something happens without contacting his relatives? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 09:22 PM PDT My brother is nearly 17 and still lives with his relatives. We have no common friends or family. I realized recently if something happened to either one of us the other person would never know, because I am estranged to his family and would never give them my contact information. Is there a way to get around that?
Question: How to tell my mom I am moving out of state.? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 08:55 PM PDT Ok 32 nearly 33. Made a life changing choice to move from PA to WI with my husband and son. My mom is a mean control freak. She has always undermined everything I have done. She bashes my parenting and my husband every chance she gets. Well my mother in law insisted we all move up there till we get on our feet, even got us both jobs and she will watch our son. My mother in law I only need to point out I do not do cry it out. Question is I move in 10 days and have not told my mom as I was waiting for paperwork to go threw. I was thinking just text her. What do you think?
Question: Was I wrong to confront my mom about a comment she made? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 08:20 PM PDT I was adopted & my "mom" has 4 biological kids of her own. Every so often she makes comments that kind of remind me or let me know that I was adopted & that I'm not hers. Intentional or not the comments are hurtful. Today we were all hanging out & I noticed that my "sister" was wearing something revealing & I jokingly said "look at you, you look like Beyonce" & my mom says "Leave my daughter alone" I confronted my mom alone afterwards & asked her why she has to make comments like that & she says "That's my daughter, I'm sorry" "I haven't seen her in awhile" "When you have your own children one day you'll understand". I just ended the conversation & left. Was I wrong? Did I overreact?

| Question: I got in a fight with my stepdad? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 08:09 PM PDT Okay, so we were ordering food and I have never been to this restaurant so I asked my mom what was good. My stepdad got really pissed and started yelling at us in the car saying that how I'm never going to be independent and how I'm such a looser if I asked for help and he also yelled at my mom for helping me! How does ordering food have to do with my independence and future? I guess because I did drop out of high school and got my GED but I'm enrolled in a university and I have a job! He made me feel so bad, people make mistakes! And I hate the fact that he trys to act like nothing happened, I did not eat from the food when I got home because I was so emotional. | Question: Is it okay to leave you're 12 year old brother who has a fever home alone overnight? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 07:16 PM PDT I'm taking care of him while my parents are in Mexico visiting their parents. I did not want to go because I have a job here. I have a 12 year old brother who is sick, he has a fever. The problem is I have been invited to my friends house for a birthday party, and I don't want to miss it. I can't hire babysitters because I don't trust them. I leave at 8 PM and come home at 2 AM. I think he can stay home alone I'll just leave him pills and locks the doors plus windows. Can I do that? |
Question: My dad uploaded inappropriate pictures of me online? Posted: 04 Aug 2017 07:14 PM PDT So I've been doing modeling since I was probably around 10. I started out doing stuff for clothing catalogs but eventually I started working for car shows and magazines. My dad has been my manager ever since my mom died in 2014. My mom worked for a modeling agency before she died. I was never really comfortable doing this stuff but my dad said that it would be good for my "exposure". So a year ago I agreed to do a topless shoot for a tanning salon. Once I was on set things escalated to a fully nude shoot. The shots were all for print, so I assumed that nothing too revealing would ever get out there. The mailer eventually came out and the shot that they used was super tasteful. So about a week ago my ex-boyfriend called me and said that he saw a picture of me being used for some porn website ad. I didn't believe him at first but he sent me a screenshot from his phone and everything! I called my dad and he admitted that he was the one who put the picture online. Apparently the photographer uploaded all of the raw photos onto a Dropbox thing and sent my dad a link after the shoot. My dad just repeated the line about it "getting me more exposure". My ex did like a reverse image search and apparently my dad uploaded the shots on Imgur and some other sites. In two of the pictures I'm topless and in one of the shots my vagina is exposed. I haven't talked to him since and he's definitely not going to be my manager anymore. Can I delete these pictures from the internet somehow?
