Including: It would be weird to have you at my wedding we probably wont be friends in a couple years anyways, that its gonna be awkward when we go to the same school next year, that he played dumb when our old mutual friends asked about me, that we need to keep us hanging out a secret. 3 days later he texts "Are you still salty about what I was talking about?", i said "Yes, i think you can be a really shitty friend to me and i dont wanna be around that anymore". Am i wrong? |

Posted: 25 Aug 2017 05:43 PM PDT So I'm always left out whenever we're together no one wants to talk to me or if we go on rides no one wants to sit with me I just get out with someone and don't even get to choose like them, and sometimes they invite certain people, I don't understand why my friends will only all the time invite over certain friends that I'm friends with to their house to hangout or sleepover or go or somewhere and I'm not included, why are they always invited by I can't be what's so different about her to me that they can't invite me as well, and I'm always asking if they can hangout and invite them to do stuff but they say they always have plans with the people I'm friends with or lie and say they can't but hang with someone else later , I asked today if they could go to the mall they said no but hung out with each other and knew I was available and didn't bother to invite me, I'm sorta tired feeling left out, I've cronfronted them and nothing's changed |

Not necessarily having friends, but more just hanging out. I'm almost always at home with my family and all my "friends" are always hanging out with popular kids. Even one of my closest friends who I thought was around the same social status as me always hangs out with a popular kid and I find myself really jealous. I know it's wrong but I can't change what I feel. Help |

For instance, tonight they invited me to go to dinner and a movie with them. I just felt like that would be me tagging along with them on a date. better than sitting at home alone, but I didn't want to come along if they would really rather me not and just extended the invite out of sympathy. I asked the girl, "do you really want me to go?" and she said "I feel like you don't want to go" and we kind of got into a little fight about it. I told her she didn't have to invite me if she didn't want me to go and she said I was invited, but then I asked, "do you really want me to go?" and she didn't respond. That made me mad and I felt like it confirmed my suspicions so I ended up not going. should I have accepted the invite/accept invites in the future? |

But I can tell she is, I feel like I have a hole in my chest and I feel so bad for what i did, and I think she hates me now, her daughter (my friend) has known me forever, our grandmas were friends our parents and now us but I think her mom hates me now. She started to talk to her about friendships and what not when she said "I have no friends." The guidance counselor asked why she thought that to which she replied, "Cause I'm not allowed to have friends... they wont let me." She asked my daughter who "they" was and she said "My brain, they want me all for themselves, no one else." She immediately called me sounding very nervous. I was so shocked I new she was having trouble in middle school making friends. but I just thought it was the middle school awkwardness. She refusing to talk to me. She's more of an acquaintance than a close friend, because we've hung out only 2-3 times in the past few years. She recently got married and asked me to make her a wedding illustration for the invitations, so I did. It was out of the blue and I'd only ever met her fiance once, but I thought since she was asking, she might want to be closer friends. So I didn't ask to be paid for it and spent a lot of time on it. She asks me to attend the bridal shower, but "forgets" to send me an invitation and I have to chase her down for the date. As a shower gift I make a large framed print of the illustration, costing around $90. Well after the wedding, I don't hear from her again, not even a thank you for the gift. I feel as though she only ever contacts me when she needs something. Am I right to be a little mad by this? What kind of person does this sound like to you - busy (hah), aloof, or just selfish? Yes there is a point to this question, I'm not sure whether I want to hang with her again (in case she ever contacts me...) |

I've known him for 18 years. After that I decided to really keep to myself. I have one good friend and she is a female friend. I'm starting to think maybe I should just try to find female friends to hang out with. Yes I would be cool with there friends too. Its just in the past I wasn't the best at choosing people to hang out with. Now I do allot of things on my own. I keep to myself at work now too because of drama there. I don't even talk to anyone there anymore. I just go in and do my job and go home. Thank god that I have job to where I can work alone. |

Friend A had said he was alone and after he hung up, friend B called me to confirm that friend A wasn't with me. I lied and said he wasn't. Later that night, B found out I lied and called me saying he wasn't so much mad as shocked because I've literally never lied to them before, but his voice sounded pissed. Friend A called him later to tell him that it was his fault that he asked me to lie, but I know I still shouldn't have done it. Apparently now B isn't mad at me but I feel absolutely terrible and like I've lost him and his trust. Is there anything I can do to win it back? |

I work with a small group of people. Most of them are mexican and there is some people that speak english. I've been there for almost a year and haven't made any friends because they hire mexicans to work there. Sometimes they do hire white people. Now i'm not racist to blacks or mexicans. Some of them mexicans can speak english ok. Some of the people there are not pleasant to be around. There is one guy that tells everyone what certain people do wrong. Another one is the same way. Another one I just couldn't trust. Another mexican who speaks very little english got mad at me because I asked him how to say bad words and took it the wrong way. When I was just messing with him and having some fun. He thought I was saying it to him I don't know what is issue was. Other mexicans has told me and was laughing and having a good time. I do go to this bar and I met some regs that are cool and became cool with certain bar staff. I even hung out with a couple of them after bar and partied. I used to play poker but I can't now because I work nights so I just go to a bar I like that has live music, cool regs, cool bar staff. That's how i'm meeting people. I've heard of meetup.com but not interested in anything they have. Also in my spare time I go to the gym. At work it sucks for making friends right now |

I did find a bar that has free live music on weekends. I'm cool with the bar staff and some regs now. There is always someone there I know and we are all cool with eachother. They are bringing food and dip and all but I feel uncomfortable asking for money as I feel they'd say we brought dip or something. What do you think? Yes or no and should I charge like $5 or $10 a person? I always hate to ask friends for money but since I'm shelling out $150 and hosting it at my house I should ask or I hope they offer. |

We have been friends for six years now, and she was always so kind to me. Ever since we started high school though, I ignored her. I have no idea why. I started hanging out with the popular kids a lot more, and I ignored her texts and dropped our plans last minute. I know its bad. I didnt know what was wrong with me. She commited suicide yesterday. I was shocked. She was going through severe depression and I had no knowledge of it, everytime she would try to talk to me I would ignore her. I feel so bad. I know theres no replacing her, and I know theres no way I can apologize to her. I just... I just want to know if I helped her suicide. |

But she had her own friends and thought I was weird. In grade 2. Her friends left her and nobody was her friend so she came to me and we became best friends. I thought she was nice that time but she always just seemed to use me. She didn't need a best friend until she gets in a fight with her old friends. So when she says we are not friends anymore. Everybody hates me because they think why would I do that. In grade 3 we got seperate clasess. And still every Recess I wasnt allowed to make friends but it was too late already because everybody would say "why arent you with your bff?" Or something. One time, our recess got different and I felt the freedom I was so happy it was the best recess ever. So she would always invite me to her house to play with her "her house is small" and she would never want to come see my house. (Which is big). When we play games she would hate my brother and say.I am the queen in this game and you are my daughter and he is the bad person.And then she would be like change my mind you'll be the maid.She made new friends and was to them like me.They left her.She said I am her only friend. Today she asked me to sleepover at her house. I said no I can't sorry. She said Im a bad friend and blocked me. And she says MY HOUSE MY RULES MY GAMES!! |

She was making excuses for everything I said like she didn't want to talk. I still have her phone number. If shes been with this guy for at least 5 years he must be doing something wrong he doesn't know to get the engagement thing going on. I want her to text me back n talk for once n stop being with all nonsense excuses. I have no idea why her sister won't message me all she does is block me when she has never met or even talk to me. A freaking Capricorn who won't say one word at all won't even read a message just block. And a Aquarius who makes everything worse excuses up and nonsense that I didn't do. |

Posted: 25 Aug 2017 12:09 AM PDT One of my close friends has a disease that will eventually kill her if she doesn't get treatment. Her family can't afford the cost of the surgery and they have very bad insurance that would leave them paying most of the bill if she did manage to get the surgery she needed. My suggestion was for her to let me set up a Go Fund Me page for her but she hates taking money from people because she thinks it's just "pity money" and she feels like she doesn't deserve it. If anyone has suggestions on how i can change her mind and let me help her, they would be greatly appreciated. i really can't lose her, i'm trying to do anything i can to help her get the medical treatment she needs. |

I did find a bar that has free live music on weekends. I'm cool with the bar staff and some regs now. There is always someone there I know and we are all cool with eachother. At work its all drama where I work and I wouldn't hang out with anyone there. I work with a small group of people so its hard for me to meet new co workers. They all like to talk **** so I just go to a bar and meet new people. I used to play poker but now I work nights. I still think the bars can be a good place to meet some cool people. |

I work with a small group of people. Most of them are mexican and there is some people that speak english. I've been there for almost a year and haven't made any friends because they hire mexicans to work there. Sometimes they do hire white people. Now i'm not racist to blacks or mexicans. Some of them mexicans can speak english ok. Some of the people there are not pleasant to be around. There is one guy that tells everyone what certain people do wrong. Another one is the same way. Another one I just couldn't trust. Another mexican who speaks very little english got mad at me because I asked him how to say bad words and took it the wrong way. When I was just messing with him and having some fun. He thought I was saying it to him I don't know what is issue was. Other mexicans has told me and was laughing and having a good time. I do go to this bar and I met some regs that are cool and became cool with certain bar staff. I even hung out with a couple of them after bar and partied. I used to play poker but I can't now because I work nights so I just go to a bar I like that has live music, cool regs, cool bar staff. That's how i'm meeting people. I've heard of meetup.com but not interested in anything they have. Also in my spare time I go to the gym. At work it sucks for making friends right now |

I only didn't get scared with one of my bestest friends Katie that I've known for more than half my life. But tomorrow night I am going to my other bestie Isabella's for a sleepover. Every time I have gone there so far I got scared. But at least this time my mum will be next door if I get scared. But any tips on how to not get homesick? |
| Posted: 24 Aug 2017 10:29 PM PDT Okay, so when I was very young I was put with an older lady in her 40s for a program that helps kids. I was a problem child who had no friends, and I still don't as an adult. So this lady was set up with me through my elementary school and she would come to my class once a week and would hang out with me for like 20 mins. Ask me how my day was and we would play games. As I went into high school years later, she would still take me out. This time we'd go out for dinner or a movie and just talk all the time. I found some emails from my mom and her years ago (found them years ago I mean) & they were discussing me. I felt betrayed and after that it didn't feel the same with her. As I grew up, we still hang out, but it feels like a chore to me. I only know she's been there not by choice really. She had to do volunteering and I feel now she sees me as a sad person and doesn't want to leave me because she would feel like she's abandoning me. I notice that when I'm having bad days, she'll text me. And so I think my mom is still contacting her. And it annoys the f-k out of me. I'm fine being alone. She's been in my life since I was 8 and I'm 23. I dont text her and she's usually the one who texts me. I'm just over with people pitying me. I told my mom this and she got mad and said "that woman has been there for you since you were a child!" She always texts to meet up but I ignore her until she starts almost harrassing me. So I go. Idk what to do... |

I also fell in too a bad place were i became an addict to certain drugs and only hung around people who would sell them or do them with me... Because of this combination i have lost many close freinds..and even fedl uncomfortable talking top my family..my goals havent changed but as i see old freinds graduating college or going in to college,and family progressing it makes me feel so bad for my vices and not alreafy being successful(im about to be 23) I feel like i avoid people.mot because i dont like myself neccesarily but necaude i feel at the moment im so behind them itd feel embarrasing to talk to them..u know.. How do i get over this..and also i feel like making knew freinds outside of a campus is kind of hard..any advice on how to meet like minded cool people. Who are also artists..im tired of only hanging around people who make me want to use..life already does that too me |
