Question: Getting married at the court house? Posted: 26 Aug 2017 09:38 PM PDT Me and my boyfriend are thinking about getting married this upcoming summer. Has anyone done this and can help answer some questions? What all will we need to do? what will we have to bring? Do we have to have a witness of our family? Anything helps! TIA. |

Question: Korean Mother and Son Wedding Songs? Posted: 26 Aug 2017 06:59 PM PDT My fiance was born in Korea, and his mother is very traditional. I would very much like to find an appropriate Koreansong for him and his mother to dance to at our wedding, as I think she would prefer their song to be Korean. I m having a hard time finding something appropriate for a mother and son to dance to. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! |
Question: Is there a Hispanic culture or any culture where the man pays for the whole wedding? Posted: 26 Aug 2017 02:08 PM PDT My girlfriend and I have dated for awhile and talked about marrying, nothing serious. One day she and her mom told me that in their Hispanic culture the man pays for the wedding to show the brides family he can provide for her and the woman cooks for the grooms family to show she can cook for him. I've never heard this (I'm Caucasian and her Hispanic) and am not sure about it. What makes me even more curious is that her family is going to Chicago for a quinceanera for a old family friend who grew up in the same college as her grandfather. The family friend is throwing a huge party for it because the girl has a disorder and my gf said they don't believe she'll go to college or that they'll have to pay for a wedding. So if the family friend is from the same village and has the same beliefs, why would she have to pay for a wedding? |
