I'm getting married in 9 months and I found my dream wedding dress from a dress shop in New York and its Valentino from a couple seasons ago but it costs upwards of $5,000 my engagement ring was a around 6,000 but my boyfriends parents helped him pay for it, but the dress is almost the price of the diamond and its only worn once and Im debating weather or not to buy it I tried on other less pricey dresses for about 1200-3000 range but the valentino looked best on me and its always been my dream to wear it and my parents said do what ever I want but i kind of feel guilty purchasing it. theres a payment plan with compounded interest that would make it almost 6K if i choose the option but then again same price as the ring but worn only once.....I thought the extra money could be used for the honey moon or even better go towards a new car for the family but i just dont know can someone here tell me what they do in this situation? thanks

My fiancé and I are looking to get married in a few months and have been looking and looking for affordable wedding and reception venues in the east bay Oakley/Brentwood/Knightsen/Byron area and close surrounding areas. Trying to keep it in a price range for total price of $2000 to $6000. Anyone know of any Beautiful and Affordable Locations?

It's been suggested we play our instrumental duet in lieu of our first dance but I want to keep our first dance too. When could we play our duet so it flows with the rest of the dances/activities of the wedding reception?

I just started to plan my wedding... I love my fiance with all my strength but... the thing is that... we got engaged after we had broken up. It took him for me to break up with him to realize that he wants to be with me. Don't get me wrong, i am thrileed that we are finally spending the rest of our lives together... yet, I feel as if our relationship is not really "pure". I never was the kind of girl who dreamed about marriage until i met him. I still want to honor the sacrament of marriage by going to the Church but... it just doesn't feel natural anymore. It's not like my parents and uncles who had their relationship wit minor ups and downs and then celebrated the big deal their marriage was. Mine feels like... it's not a big thing... we are not the perfect couple celebrating our relationship :( I just want to go to Church and have something intimate since doing something big is pure show. But at the same time, I want to go back to my birth country so that my side of the family is able to attend, plus it would be 3-5x cheaper to do a wedding there, even after flying his family from USA. But, if we are flying his family, i'm afraid I have to entertain them with something more than a simple mass and dinner at a restaurant... I would have to do the big reception and pull off the big circus of having celebrations and dancing, and cutting the cake and saying our vows and our first dance... I really don't know what to do... Any thoughts? Before the break up, I used to be so high in love with him and just wanted to celebrate us with a big wedding to honor the "blissful" fairy tale I thought we had... i love big weddings, but only with people that have had a real fairy tale, and whenever I have attended weddings with stories similar to ours, I always thought it's pure show... and I can't believe I'm one of those people now.

ok so im 23 and my soon to be 32 year old boyfriend of 1 year dumped me while we were out "celebrating" the night before our anniversary ( we were suppose to go to brunch in the morning) so he surprises me by picking me up and taking me to a bar the night before he was even going to make a cake for me and as soon as we got there he started talking sh*t he started saying my lips where chapped so i grabbed my lip gloss and i re glossed my lips and he said it wasnt good enough then he saw i was pissed and started talking about how he's glad i finally got a nice weave and why didnt i get an expensive nice weave before now and my hair lately was looking dry old and ugly then i said "if you loved me at all you wouldnt be say this" and he said thats the problem i cant fall in love with you and im not even close to that and started saying i let myself go and i couldnt have a intellectual conversation with him if i tried because im still in college and he has 3 degrees he even told my parents he didnt want me anymore then a few days later he texts me asking can we be friends for his dogs (they love me) and i had said "yes just friends only" and everything was fine until his mom found my youtube and sent him links to the videos i made about our breakup(he knows about my youtube & but she didnt and she was shocked and now hates me) i vlog about my life and i basically told the story of our breakup and how cruel he treated me in the end (before he asked me could we be friends to see the dogs) and i agreed and then he calls me me a few hours later telling me sh*t is OVER he's not going to be friends with someone who tells his business out there ( i didnt mention his name) AND HIS MOM FOUND IT TOO and he told me i'll never see his dogs I use to take care of them like a mom im truly HURT HOW DO I GET HIM BACK AS A FRIEND?
