Question: How do I cope with feeling abandoned? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 05:55 PM PDT I'm 21 and I have been lonely for about 3 yrs. I only have 2 friends and the other 2 are just acquaintances. We are only acquaintances cuz they just don't want to be close friends with me. My two friends aren't even real friends. They only hangout with me if its a meeting at the coffee shop around the corner of the block. They never agree to go anywhere with me if its an event, beach, or amusement park. I feel like they're fake. They know I'm lonely but they still don't try to hangout with me a bit more at all. Some other acquaintances know that I'm lonely but they don't really care so I don't ever ask to hangout with them. I also have no clue where to make friends. I just go to and from work daily. Often, I just feel extremely empty, in pain, and there is always something heavily pulling down my heart. Sometimes I feel very troubled and don't have anyone to talk to about it. I also don't feel that anyone truly cares about me. Nobody wants to be close friends with me cuz everyone already has their own circle of friends. Everyone has their own support group so its extremely hard for me to break into being with them. |

Question: Did he have the right to be mad or did I? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 05:32 PM PDT I was talking to this guy, we're both 26. We met online and have never met in person. He moved in with his brother and brother's girlfriend a few weeks ago from another state. He didn't have a job when he moved here and still doesn't. Therefore, he has plenty of free-time. I, on the other hand, have a full-time job. I am working overtime this week, getting over 50 hours. When I am at work, I can't be on my phone except for on break...which is when I'd text him good morning. When I get home, all I want to do is sleep. I wake up long enough to shower, eat, and wash my work uniform. That's only about 3 hours before I have to go back to sleep. I would talk when I had the time. He was constantly messaging me asking me if I was ignoring him, if I was upset at him, why he hadn't heard from me all day, stating that he missed talking to me, asked if I found somebody I like more than him, etc. I have tried to tell him how busy I am and how I talk to him whenever I have the time and energy. Tonight, it became not enough for him and he accused me of never caring about him. I was constantly telling him to stand up for himself against his brother and his bro's girlfriend because of how they were using him and how I wanted him to get a job because I wanted what's best for him and he has the nerve to accuse me of not caring about him. I ended up blocking him. Does he have the right to be mad or do I? |
Question: Will I Become Popular? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 05:22 PM PDT So, I started Highschool several days ago and popularity used to phase me a lot in middle and primary school, but this year I could care less. In one of my classes, all the popular girls started talking to me, asking me what my schedule was, and stuff about me. One of them literally was like "I'm ----- nice to meet you!" Should I continue talking to them? They seem really nice, but I have social anxiety (very bad) and I want tips on how to handle that. thanks |

Question: How to ask someone you barely know to hang out? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 04:36 PM PDT So, I met a guy at a concert some time ago and he seemed pretty cool but we just exchanged our experiences about the concert immediatley after. A few weeks later I saw him in front of my apartment block and it turned out his girlfriend lives in the same block as me. Now we bump into each other occassionally and talk a bit every time but I don't know how to ask him if he wants to hang out sometimes without feeling awkward about it. |
Question: Is being a nerd a bad thing? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 03:53 PM PDT Instead of going to parties, I like to study on Friday nights and I always get a GPA of 4.0. I only hang out with my two friends at school and I don't ever ditch classes. My school is very cliche and there are a lot of cliques. The popular girls ditch classes, bully people and some do drugs and the quarterback is always pointing to my locker number and saying 'Oh look, it's the number of parties you've missed' and 'Nerdy's trying to get to her next class, give her space, she doesn't wanna be late!" and blocks my way. Like I wanna get some where in life...but I feel like being a nerd and a teacher's pet/straight A student is a bad thing...The jocks are always annoying me about it.. I do socialize..I just don't go out to house parties...they have underage drinking and everything there.. |
Question: How to make friends? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 03:46 PM PDT Hi I just want to know what people talk about my age. I'm 14 year old girl starting freshman year. I want to talk to people but i don't know what to say? What do kids my age usually talk about? Can anyone give me examples. I'm pretty shy but I'm outgoing around my close friends but don't have them in a lot of my classes. Please help |
Question: Am I better off now?? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 03:33 PM PDT Ok so this guy used to be like a brother to me, and now I can't stand him. I've known him since high school and I am now 25. We started hanging out really heavy back in 2013, but I did something shady back then and we ended up not being friends again. Then in 2015 we reconnected, and became like brothers all over again, Back in 2015 he some friends and I were supposed to rent out a house together but he ended up pulling out last minute and I got a little too upset and tried to fight over it. After that we stopped being friends again. I can say I deserved it both times and I wish I never did that stuff, but what made me so mad is all the personal attacks on my character he kept dishing out. I started telling me things I didn't even know that he felt about me and it hurt. Like I was supposed to be the best man at his wedding. He was saying things that were very hurtful and honestly hypocritical on his part. So after that I just started despising him and didn't care about trying to salvage our friendship. Now in 2017 I'm happily engaged I'm a manager at my current job. I just got my own place and I'm happy, while he is going through the crapper right now. I know because my fiance is best friends with his girlfriend. Looking back and thinking on all those things he said about me. It kinda feels good to be honest because maybe now he can see that he was a hypocrite and a asshole.I moved on and bettered my life while he stayed in the same **** he was in back in 2015. |

Question: Does this sound like an accident? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 03:20 PM PDT I'm gonna try to keep this short because I'm sick of talking about it. We've had issues for 3 years now with me being bullied by this girl and her friends. She's constantly shoving me into the lockers and pushing me and saying "sorry" just to make it look like an accident. She's done it FOR SURE more than 10 times now and she did it again yesterday at orientation for school. We've talked to the parents and they insist she'd never do anything like that but she is a DEVIL! Sometimes she'll even back up into me to make it look more like an accident and just be like "oh sorry". And yesterday she blamed her friend like it was her fault that she pushed me but she laughed after she said it. It's a set-up, guaranteed. What do you think? We have had people check the security cameras at school but until now, no one has done a thing about it. |
Posted: 16 Aug 2017 03:16 PM PDT So my friends kid say this to me, "So my 9 year old daughters friend told me she was twerking on the wall, thinks everything is nasty, and talks about nasty things" and no, she doesn't get It from her mom her mom is a very neat person. She would never do anything like that. So what do think is wrong with this child?! |

Question: Why do none of my friends ever want to go anywhere with me? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 03:09 PM PDT I have two friends who would be very willing to listen to me talk or hangout at the local coffee shop or restaurant or take a walk around the city. But when it comes to inviting them to the beach or events, they NEVER want to go with me. I always end up going alone and it sucks cuz it always makes me feel awkward and lonely. No, they are guys. I'm a girl. I just feel like none of them are taking me seriously as a friend. Both of them are single and one of them likes me. But i don't like him back. |

Question: Help: I feel like I'm going to be single forever.? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 02:50 PM PDT I'm a 27 year old guy. I've only had one girlfriend in my life who I met through an online dating service. The thing is, I don't like going to bars and talking to random girls and trying to create attraction. I like asking girls out that I know already from going to class with them or from working with them. The problem is, I often misinterpret women being nice to me for them liking me romantically. I'm interning at this bank and I want to ask this coworker out. I think she could like me but I'm afraid to trust my instincts. I've done favors for her in the office, I've put her bracelet on for her, she's asked me if I'm single, if I have kids, and if I ever want kids in the future. She scratches her head a lot when we talk. She's invited me to a group lunch this Friday. Friday is my last day of the internship so the lunch will be a send off. She's a single mom and knows how old I am. She told me that I'm young and can still date if I want. Was she trying to steer me to other women? I wish we could chat everyday but she's been very busy in the office lately. She's been on the phone a lot. I have to know a little about a girls personality before I feel comfortable asking her out. I want something serious, not a fling. I almost have to be friends with a woman before I feel comfortable asking her out. |

Question: What to do about a guy who wants you to like him, but doesn't want to like you? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 02:15 PM PDT I have a friend I've known for more than half my life. We've had sex a few times this year, but there was plenty of time between those few times. He was my first big crush when I was 11 and i've always had a soft spot for him. He knows I've had feelings for him, but tells me all the time how he doesn't see me that way. The funny part is, he doesn't see me that way, but admits to being jealous at the IDEA of me having sex with somebody else. He'll say he is okay with me dating, that he wants me to be happy, but the sheer idea of me screwing somebody else, upsets him. (keep in mind, he's the first and ONLY I've had sex with in over a year) We both admitted yesterday that we want to have sex again and he said it's complicated. I asked him why is it complicated and that it's just sex. He said it's not just sex. I said "it's just sex for me, I don't know what it is for you" and he said "There's no feeling?" I said "Is there supposed to be?" He said "ouch." I explained that it's not fair for me to feel unrequited feelings for him, as I've done that a couple times before. He asked if all he is to me is somebody to screw. I said "I'm not using you, but I have accepted you don't feel the same way about me." He apologized and said he told me it was complicated. Why does he want me to like him if he is never going to do anything about it? Background: he got his heart broken by a girl he loved (and still talks about) almost a year ago. He's STILL not over her, but she has nothing to do with him. He also has really low self-esteem and doesn't love himself. I'm 26, he's 28. My friends have observed how he is towards me and they think he likes me, by the way he looks at me or how he laughs at everything I say. But he swears up and down that he just wants to be friends and that he doesn't see me that way. He's constantly telling me how he doesn't want to hurt me and how he doesn't know how many times he has to say he just wants to be friends. |
Question: Why is he blowing me off? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 02:05 PM PDT I emailed him when we can meet again and he replied "Thanks for touching base. I've been super busy but it's getting better. I will contact you soon with a suggestion of a date to meet. Can show you some data....". So I emailed back "Thanks, sounds good! I look forward to the next meeting". A month later, no response and so I followed up with "How are you? Hope you are doing well. Could we possibly meet this month?". It has been a week and nothing? :( What can I do next? I'm not trying to be obsessive, just trying to get what I was promised. |
Posted: 16 Aug 2017 12:33 PM PDT I come from a really rich wealthy family. My dad is a cancer doctor and my mom is a shrink. My dad makes $250,000 a year and my mom makes about $100,000 a year. I was raised treat people the way you want to be treated. Sometimes you can't do that. I've been used in the past and now I keep my circle small. I have 1 brother and 1 sister. We are all in our 30's and none of us has kids. I've been friends with people to where they come from some ****** up family. One of my old friends just got out of prison for stabbing some guy over a women. His sister has 5 kids by 3 different guys. I used to be friends with this guy that is a drunk and that's because his family are drunks. He said he started drinking at 12. I started at 19 because I played sports at that age. Most of my old friends came from poor family's. They all treated there friends like **** back. I'm not saying all people from poor family's are like this. I guess I just wasn't good at picking friends when I was younger. I still would do things for anyone. If I get used then I get used. That's just how life is. |

Question: How do I get my friend to leave me alone about my weight gain? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 12:05 PM PDT I used to be very fit and had a great body. My friend, Leslie, was always over weight. I would tease her occasionally by rubbing her belly and telling her how cute it was or asking when she was due. Recently, the tables have turned. Leslie lost her weight, while I managed to put on a fat round pot belly. Now she constantly makes fun of me for it. She pokes and grabs my belly. Rubs it anytime it pops out of my shirt. Points out to our other friends how much I jiggle when I walk. She is always bringing me candy, sodas, cookies, and other fattening snacks. As I eat, she tells me she knows I can t turn down food and that my belly will continue to grow. Am I getting what I deserve, or is there a way to make her lay off? |

Question: People I don't know look at me? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 11:11 AM PDT Okay, so I ride the bus back home. I m a really quiet guy, more introverted and shy. I wear headphones on the bus ride and I sit alone. The next two rows ahead of me have the talkative kids who you can hear across the whole bus, a few of them are guys, but most of them are girls. Every day, this one girl in particular says something that causes them all to look at me. I don t know what she is saying because I listen to music. The only time I ever heard something was when a different girl tapped my shoulder to point at the one girl who always looks at me. I removed my headphones and she asked me name, so I told her that my name was mike. She asked my name twice now. But what could it be that makes them look at me? Am I creepy? Is it the clothes I wear (I wear pants and rock shirts)? Am I weird in some way? Is it because I m introverted? Please help, I really want to know if anything is going on. I don t like being noticed. |

Probably in 3 years. But your sister is gorgeous." and points at her. |

Question: How do i make friends? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 06:33 AM PDT I have really bad social skills. I have no friends right now. I can't be friends with weeaboos and druggies because i hate them so i avoid those people. Idk, i just can't seem to start a conversation because everybody else is already talking to one another. Posted: 16 Aug 2017 06:29 AM PDT Me and my best friend have been performing in a band of six people - I'm on drums (I can also play the piano), he's on lead guitar, she's on bass, there's another on guitar, and one last one on vocals. The girl, Francine, was the one who actually put us together: one day she came up to both my best friend and me asked us to join her band. We agreed following a few terms: I wanted "[an] ample supply [of both]... "coffee [and] chocolate"; he wanted "[her] pussy". She agreed, we played and help recruit others, we sound pretty good but - after a while - my best friend said that Francine wanted double penetration. I agreed; however, after a while other sexual activities develop until today: where my best friend said he was "in love [with her]". I've gotten quite used to these sex sessions - I want to maintain by bust-a-nut/day ratio and protect my best friend from this hoe; what to do? |

Secondo voi dovrei litigare proprio il giorno prima che parto? Forse dovrei farle sapere che lo so e che mi ha deluso tantissimo? Question: How do I reconcile a friendship that I ended? Posted: 15 Aug 2017 11:49 PM PDT So I used to have a best friend. One who basically shared all the same interests as me. We got along so well, but man... he was a mess. I had to save him about 10 or so times when he got kicked out by his parents, and he crashed my mom's van into my dad's new truck. (tbh it was kind of my mom's fault) I ended things about a year and a half ago, but my life's just been a lot less meaningful without him in it. We had the strongest of bromances. I ended things after he 'jokingly' (according to him after I ended it) shorted me $40 that I lent him for weed. We both smoke so that wasn't a big deal. It wasn't the $40 that I was worried about. It was the fact that he refused to reimburse me just because I asked about it. Anyway now it all seems super petty and I'd really like to be best buds with him again. Also, I ended things once before this, but soon forgave him because that's what bros do. I'm not even sure if he would take me back... Thanks for reading and sorry my writing is such a mess. I'm quite nervous at the moment about the whole situation. Thinking about just going to his house in person and talking it over. |
Question: How'd you feel if someone important you didn't mean to hurt said "I wish I never met you"? Posted: 15 Aug 2017 11:05 PM PDT I got this message ... |
Question: Would this be weird to do? Posted: 15 Aug 2017 10:13 PM PDT I work at a Starbucks and there's this regular that always comes in to get her daily coffee. She always smiles and says hi to me. She only really knows me and maybe because I get incredibly flustered around her. She knows my name and I know hers. She likes it when I'm working there, because I get her drink right and for some other reason she hasn't told me. I tend to get shy to the point that I blush when I see her. I tried giving her a sample of a pastry, but I froze up and choked on what I was going to say. Yeah and I told her to have a nice day after I awkwardly teased her. I wanted to buy her favorite drink, which is the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew, and give her a handwritten note that would simply say nice things about her. Not sure if it's a good idea. |
Posted: 15 Aug 2017 10:06 PM PDT I know that this likely won't happen at the rate that society is going at the moment, but what if it did? How would you react? |
Posted: 15 Aug 2017 09:36 PM PDT I'm the type of person that always takes an interest in others and there lives and I'm also a really good listener and I always try to support and be there for people whenever they need me but they're never there for me. I've had friends that only wanted me to listen to their problems but when I want to talk about something they would be so quick to change the subject. I'm the one that people run to when they're bored but not because they actually want to talk to me. I had to remove those types of people from my life because it brought nothing but negativity and feelings of no self worth. I cared about them but it wouldn't have been a point of keeping people who use me in my life. |
Question: Which groups of people would you rather be friends with? Posted: 15 Aug 2017 09:16 PM PDT Who would you rather be friends with between Ashley & Jennifer or Nate & Mitch? Ashley & Jennifer are a bunch of yuppie type snobs who have high paying jobs, lots of high status friends, both live in nice homes, drive nice cars, wear nice clothes, the only types of people who they feel comfortable associating with are those who they feel are equal or superior to them, they also find people who they feel are beneath them to be dumb, annoying and worthless to society. Nate & Mitch are two easygoing guys who are nice and friendly towards all types of people, unfortunately they don't have a lot of friends because of their learning disabilities although Nate is the smarter and has a stronger sense of awareness between these two, Mitch has a personality of a small child but has a big heart of gold, Mitch is unemployed and Nate has a low end paying job in retail, Nate has helped Mitch out with social skills and looks out for him when people aren't being nice to him, Mitch thinks of Nate as a big brother. Also who deserves more respect between Ashley & Jennifer or Nate & Mitch? They both know each other and Ashley & Jennifer are mean, rude and snobby towards Nate & Mitch, Nate & Mitch do try to be nice to Ashley & Jennifer but they find them to be very difficult to get along with. Whenever people are being mean to Mitch he gets overly sensitive about it but Nate has made Mitch realize that it's their insecurity and shallowness that makes them act this way towards him. |
Question: Really sad about leaving family for college? Posted: 15 Aug 2017 08:37 PM PDT I feel like I m being a big baby, especially since I m going to a college only an hour and a half away, but I am really sad about leaving my family for college. Question: Should i tell my roommate this? Posted: 15 Aug 2017 08:23 PM PDT So I really want the window side of the dorm, so I told my parents to go 1 hr early on move in day so I can get the spot I want.. but they did not want to wake up so early and wanted to start out the day calm and possibly go later so that we can avoid the traffic and chaos with everyone moving in.. so they are keep telling me to just ask my roommate if I can get the window side of the room.. but i feel like thats not fair.. because people who come first gets the spot right? I would do it but i feel like im being rude and stubborn if i tell her this.. and she could also want that part of the room.. Posted: 15 Aug 2017 08:20 PM PDT I like to play video games but I want to become more social instead of just playing video games inside my home and never going outside. If i could do both that would be great. I also always wanted to travel because I have never traveled anywhere and just play games by my self everyday. But I noticed that every month there are video game tournaments happening in many different states and countries and you can compete with other players In person to win money. I want to do this but do you think this is weird? My parents said it's kinda weird to travel and play games but i didn't think it sounded to weird if im at least out the house? What do you think? |
Question: Help?? Otaku girls answer only please!? Posted: 15 Aug 2017 08:06 PM PDT Ok, so I have a ex-best friend and this year she is in the same class as me. This is what happened: she hadn't texted me for weeks, I'd been texting her and she would leave me on "read" ok well she FINALLY replied to me and so we were texting for like 1 MINUTE then she's like "well I'm gonna go watch anime" AFTER IGNORING ME FOR WEEKS?! So I would have a right to be mad wouldn't I? Well I didn't say anything to her but instead I texted my other friend, telling her about what she did, I have to admit, I did over react but SHE DID EVEN MORE?? So I was like really mad so I was texting my friend about how she probably hates me, that I should just kill myself because I'm bothering her (I wouldn't really kill myself) so my friend told her that I said that so she's like "That's unacceptable! All I want is some time to myself not to mention I hate texting." So she told her mom and her mom was like "The way you have been acting towards my daughter is unacceptable, you are unhealthy and you need help, do not contact my daughter again" blah blah blah and OMG we have been friends for what, 3 years, and she just ignores that and says we are not friends anymore just because I interrupted her and her anime. She basically chose anime over me!! Also I am an otaku as well, I get it but why would she choose her anime over me?? Do you think she will hate me/ignore me during this school year? Sorry so long, but please don't answer meanly. I have already been depressed about this for weeks. |
Posted: 15 Aug 2017 08:02 PM PDT I am 20 and I am a man and I try to contact the females almost exclusively. I think it is because I am too shy to talk to guys but not girls for some reason. I am also worried that another reason I go for the women is because I secretly want to make friends with potential mating partners but I am not sure. But I also go for women because I think it is good to have both male and female friends for variety of things like when you ask your friends for advice on whatever and things like that. Cause males and females think differently I think. And because having female friends would be exciting because of all sorts of reasons. Sometimes people don't reply to my messages and I don't know why and then I don't know what to do. I don't know if it is because I always end up saying something wrong or if there are problems with the devices we use to send messages or what. This has happened with just about everyone I have contacted (males and females). And I used to be good friends with some of these people. One of them is my second cousin (female). Maybe it is because of what I say sometimes because I have Autism that keeps getting worse. What do you think of all this? |
