Question: What do I do if a friend spreads my personal life to a large group? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 05:44 PM PDT I am in a group chat with about 20 friends. There is this one friend who just entered the group chat. She is a big mouth. I greeted her and she responded with something like "hello, how is your mom after she kicked you out? Are you still living with your ex whom you have sexual relationships with? You still haven t found a home to live yet?" This is news to everyone in the group chat. The whole group does not need to know about my private life. I gotta admit I am mad at her for leaking my personal life to a public chat, but what s done is done and I learned to never trust her with anything ever again. After that moment I ve completely ignored her. Where do I go from here? Should I patch things up with her or just keep ignoring her for the rest of my life? |
Question: I don't like the people I have in my classes? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 05:06 PM PDT I had a bunch of friends in my periods last year but this year there's a bunch of new people and I usually have at least 5 people in my next class from the class before. And they're not all my friends or I've known them before and they're not the type of friends I want to be with. I wish they could add some people or switch so I could have some more different people but that's not all possible since the year just started. What do I do so that I won't be sad about this all the time? |
Question: My "best" friend is being super fake, how do I deal with it? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 04:51 PM PDT This will take a bit of explaining, so bare with me. I met my best friend late in the first semester of our freshman year. (December 2015). We joined cheer together after being friends for a few months and our friendship was great from when we met until about October 2016, at least I think so. She started hanging out with our other friend more (let's call her "Sasha"), and they became obsessed with snapchat and taking a TON of pictures every two seconds for their snap stories. This sort of irritated me, as they kind of grew away from me. This went on and got progressively worse over time. When cheerleading tryouts at the end of sophomore year (May 2017) happened, we all made varsity and it only boosted my 'best' friend's ego by a lot. she said stuff like "No offense but I've been doing way better in stunting with this advanced group." I sorta blocked that all out. In the summer, she slept over at "Sasha's" house like every single night, She keeps wearing push up bras with low cut shirts and this would be fine if she WOULDNT STOP BRINGING UP HOW GOOD SHE LOOKED IN THEM! She seriously takes every single opportunity to bring up her cleavage or her butt or she has people take 'candid' pictures of her from behind so she can look good on her snapchat story. she hasn't looked at me when i'm talking to her, apparently snapchat is a better best friend. She tries to look cool everyday and i'm at my breaking point. i really don't know what to do.. I feel so alone.. |
Posted: 21 Aug 2017 04:47 PM PDT I'm in my freshman year of highschool and right now people categorise me as a "nerd" . Though I am not. I have always been quiet and now I'm starting to change that. People like to pick on me and or stay clear. They're making it very hard for me to change!! |

Question: Anyone else shy around their family but to strangers and friends they're different? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 03:50 PM PDT I'm like that. To strangers I don't feel shy talking to them I always say hi to random strangers with my friends, but when I'm with family members I don't talk at all until they make the first move to talk to me. It's just that it's very awkward and I feel uncomfortable I just feel like they would judge me for the things I say and my actions. I want to come out of my shell, because well they're obviously my own family. |
Question: Would you tell the truth? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 03:21 PM PDT I told a family secret that my bff told me years ago.this is now catching up to me years later and Im afraid to tell the truth without the possibility of losing a good friend.she said she told 2 people her mother and me. I'm sure she believe her mother over me . should I just admit I told the secret ? |

Question: Me and my best friend aren't talking? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 03:17 PM PDT So my best friend and I have known each other since 6th grade (were juniors now) and we've always gone to the same school and have seen each other every day at school and hung out all the time. We've always been super close ever since we met and we talk basically every day. This year she changed schools though and now is going to this nice private school and i feel like we aren't really even friends anymore even though school has only been going on for about a month. we haven't hung out once since schools been back and we only hung out like 2 over summer (due mostly to conflicting schedules and traveling) but we talked or face timed almost every day though. now we barely even talk or call each other and we haven't texted in like 3 or 4 days which may not seem like that long but considering we're best friends and we've known each other since 6th grade and we've always talked basically every day it's weird. we haven't had a fight or anything we just aren't talking, she hasn't called or texted me and actually talked in a while, and i have a few times but i don't want to be the only one making an effort, idk what to do. |
Posted: 21 Aug 2017 02:30 PM PDT We are pretty good friends but still new I had a serious panic attack at school, and he found out some stuff about my past I wasn't ready to share. I just don't know how to talk to him anymore I freaked out when I tried. What do I do? |
Question: Should I still be friends with her? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 01:57 PM PDT A couple of days ago my best friend hit me in the head really hard on purpose. And wasn't at all sorry at first - said I deserved it and this sort of thing, even though I had not done anything that serious to make her angry. But now she feels very guilty and seeks my forgiveness. I really cherish our friendship - she's the only person I trust and the only friend I have. What should I do? I want to forgive her but I'm afraid that if this sort of thing happens again I won't be able to get over it and in the process I'll hurt her. Should I remain friends with her or end the friendship so I can prevent hurting her emotionally in the future. |
Question: Is he really my friend? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 01:34 PM PDT I am in 8th grade, and I have been "best friends" with a guy for 2 years now. He says I'm his best friend, but whenever I say he is my best friend he seems super shocked. He trusts me with most of his secrets that nobody else knows, and I know almost everything there is to know about him. When we text he always seems as if he doesn't care, but in person he is always laughing, and constantly talking. When we are on our own he opens up alot, and he doesn't mind spending time with me, but when we are around his other friends he acts like he barely knows me. I feel like he is two completely different people, and I never know who I am going to see. It drives me crazy! Am I just making a big deal out of nothing? Is this how all 8th grade boys act? |
Question: Is it okay to ask your friend if his bipolar? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 01:30 PM PDT I have a very close friend, which fits every single symptom of Bipolar disorder, he has mania and all those stuff at times. He even seems to hint it sometimes like saying "I'm really depressed right now, but know I'll be better in a week" but his never directly told me. I know this sounds a bit off, but anyone would think the same thing in this position. I'm 99 precent sure his bipolar, and I really wanna support him and show that I understand.. Would it be rude or arrogant to ask if his bipolar? My grandpa was Bipolar and I just wanna show my friend that I understand.. But I don't wanna seem rude, is it best to just keep quite? |
Question: I hate high school already? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 01:16 PM PDT I'm a freshman and my first day I had no one to sit with at lunch because I know ZERO people there. And then I go to my chemistry class but halfway through class I realize this is the wrong class. The room numbers are all the same but with different letters at the end, like 200F 200P 200R, etc. so it was the same subject but with a different teacher. I feel so stupid I just wanna start all over |

Question: I'm feeling frustrated and I need advice!? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 12:19 PM PDT I'm on a swim team and my life is usually pretty boring and repetitive. Lately it got a lot more interesting, I started making friends, I got a girlfriend, and I now the fastest on said swim team. But this new girl joined the team and for no apparent reason started rumors. Now the girl hates me, I'm back to barely any friends, ( Even the ones I have are tired of hearing me complain, but I can't fault them for that.) and now everyone thinks the new girl is faster than me because that's what she told them. I wouldn't mind about the last part but it isn't true and people seem to be listening to all her bs because of made up sonority. It's just bumming me out that one person would do this much damage just 'because'. Don't get me wrong, I'm not depressed, I'm just very frustrated. Life is repetitive again and I don't know how to fix it and get back on track. I'm also homeschooled so a school life isn't really an option. I've tried explaining to my "friends" and "girlfriend" but they take her words over mine and I can't expect my coaches to do anything when they don't even talk to the potheads on the team. I know I should probably just move on but I don't know where to. Every time I get back on top I fall back down further. This is my second time reposting this question because I can't get an actual answer, so if you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all |

Question: Was this a good way to stop classmates from heckling me? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 11:58 AM PDT I had to give a speech in one of my high school classes. The jocks in the class who had a negative IQ thought it would be fun to heckle me during my speech. They would ask questions that had nothing to do with my speech. One of them ask "Is it OK for men to have multiple wives"? I wanted to shut them up for good so I said. "Only if you are hung so that leaves you out doesn't it shorty"? The class erupted in laughter and I was not heckled again. Was that a good way to stop the heckling? |
Question: My female friend wants to stop our friendship because of her boyfriend? What to do? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 11:47 AM PDT I am a close friend with a former teacher of mine, I am 20 and she is 31. Her boyfriend, who is 54 years old, is suspicious that we have romantic relationship while we don't. All we just did was going out to eat several times, hiking, and we only went to see whales once. Now, that boyfriend wants us to break up the friendship, and my friend listened to him because she said "she rather be happy than being right," because she told the bf that she does not want to stop seeing me and the bf thinks that she cheated on him and he questions her throughout 5 days. The bf even tries to stalk me through facebook and ask my friend how she would make up for the pain she caused him. I hate this boyfriend because he acts like a psychopath and be jealous with someone who is fresh in college about his girlfriend. Worse than that, that boyfriend has been dating her for 6 years, and he still does not want to commit. If he is afraid of his gf cheating on him, just marry her, why stopping her from getting to know more people? Now, I don't know what to do. I don't want to lose my friend, she was my favorite teacher, she was my mentor, and we have not done anything inappropriate, but if I come back to her, I am afraid she will dispose our friendship whenever her boyfriend tell her so. |
Question: Is a "lifeless" Facebook page a reason to delete someone from your friends list? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 11:01 AM PDT I noticed that a total of about 7 people (all whom sent me the friend request) deleted me from their friends list. FYI - There is no bad blood between us, so I think they deleted me because I barely do anything on there, other than wish them a Happy Birthday. In addition, I have no pics, except my profile picture. One of those friends I sometimes see on the bus on my way home from work. She always ignores me, unless there's a situation where she has no choice but to make eye contact. But that's as far as it will go, as she'll just give me a "Yeah I see you sitting there" look with a meaningless smile. So it's kind of awkward, and I pretend I do not realize she deleted me, thus me acknowledging her presence even though she ignores me. |
Question: Why doesn't he talk to me anymore? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 10:56 AM PDT I met this guy at a place we both worked, and whenever we weren't placed in the same group he would go out of his way to come to wherever I was and talked with me, whether it be for a few minutes or for like a half hour. we got along together extremely well and have practically the same personality, and overall our conversations were playful and we had a lot of the same interests. Our job ended, and he said that he wanted to stay in contact w me and so we exchanged snapchats and he said I was the coolest worker he met there and that he actually genuinely enjoyed talking to me. A few days pass, and we didn't talk to each other, but I saw something that was a joke between us so I sent him a pic of it and we talked for hours, and he was overall very talkative but the conversation got cut bc he fell asleep (it was late at night). After that, we haven't said a word to each other, and I'm just curious as to why. he's not the type of person who starts conversations when he has something cool to say, he will just say hey whats up and go from there. nothing got awkward and I don't think I said anything, we were just talking about a musician we both liked and concerts. any ideas? should I start conversations again? I don't want to annoy him lol |
Question: People who brag about not liking me but always staring at me? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 10:47 AM PDT Im a girl. I have had both girls and boys in my classes complain about not liking me but stare at me for long times. They say rude things about me but they are always staring at me and I cant tell. Someone even caught someone staring at me and asked why they were staring at me. and they were like "ew no I wasnt" but they were. So I just took it as they were daydreaming. So I moved to a different spot in the class and they were still looking at me. Another girl who said i wasnt pretty is always staring at me all day everyday. Its annoying. |

Question: How can I calm down please HELP!!? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 08:45 AM PDT I am sooooooo f*****g pissed off, this guy went on my friends messager and was ******* with me he's was pretending to be my friend and saying terrible things about me and then said he was gonna kill himself I was so sad and crying and confused and I didn't know what to do, until my friend a few hours later called me and started apologizing and saying that he didn't write those messages and that he left it charging when he was playing basketball and someone must of went on it, I am so ready to murder someone I am on the f******g hunt for this b***h a** coward, this happened two days ago and I still haven't found this stupid b***h, my friend told me he put a lock on his phone and that we should just move on, but I'm having the hardest f*****g time letting go, how do I get over something like this? |
Question: I feel unappreciated by my friends on my birthday? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 08:27 AM PDT my birthday was last week, and yesterday i had a friend celebration that had been planned for about a week in advanced. There were 4 other people who I was with and I only got a gift from one friend and it was a gift card to Target. her, lets call her M, and my other friend, lets call her R, were the only 2 people I cared about getting gifts from because I tried really hard on their gifts for their birthday. For M, I got her a cute care package with her fav candies and face masks and cute stuff (I was broke but I still put in effort) and for R, I got her a food gift card and a nice framed picture of us. But for my birthday, all I got from one person was a gift card. R told me, "i dont have a gift for you haha sorry. MAYBE ill get you one" and she started laughing. It just makes me feel silly cus I tried so hard for them; its not about getting presents and materialistic things, its about the effort. If I tried really hard for you to have a nice birthday then you should do the same for me! It just makes me feel embarrassed and upset, like I'm not important or appreciated and I was just tossed aside. It really really put me in an upset mood ... did I do something wrong or is it just them? I know they're not broke too.... I dont know how to about this situation, its not like I'm just gonna confront them and force them to be appreciative towards me and get me a gift or a better one. I just feel like boo boo the fool :-( |
Question: Should I get my mother a birthday gift after she didn't accept last year's? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 07:59 AM PDT Last year I made my mother a painting as a gift. I gave her another one a few years ago and she kept telling me how much she wanted another. But she got mad because for the 2 days leading up to her birthday I didn't spend time with her, or help her around the house, focusing instead on finishing the painting and keeping it a surprise. So on her birthday she didn't even spoke to me, avoided me and to this day she didn't accept her present, even though I reminded her about it. So this year I really really don't feel like getting her a present. Perhaps a single symbolic flower. I was really hurt last year. Would I be a bad daughter if I didn't get her a present? What do you think? |
Question: Called annoying when I don't even talk? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 07:28 AM PDT Today my teacher assigned us partners and when my teacher called my name and told me who my partner was he said "ugh she's annoying." I don't even say anything at all in the class and I'm known as the "quiet girl who doesn't talk" in that class. I never even said 2 words to the guy. The only time I spoke to him is when he comes up to me and tell me hi. I just say hi back. I don't even bother him or approach him but he bothers me yet I'm the one annoying? How is this possible????! |
Question: Why do some peopole care if some one hates them or doesn't talk to them? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 07:03 AM PDT My friend always think that every one is against him In college and thinks some peopole disrespects. He feels so suffocated in college as for me i do not really care about what other students think of me at all. I do not try to look cool in front of other students or to make them look bad or to feel better than them. I only focuss on my self.. |

Question: Should I feel so bad about this? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 06:11 AM PDT A group of my friends and I were group texting, we were deciding to go somewhere and then one of my friends (we're not very close but I've known her for a while) said we should be there early and i said "i can't because I'm babysitting" She said "drop the baby somewhere and meet us there" I knew she was joking so I said "I'll drop the baby at your mom's house and see what she says" i was joking of course, but everyone went really quiet then she said "you can't actually shes dead" I FORGOT about that and now I'm feeling really bad , I apologized to her but I'm still feeling like **** |

Question: My cousin thinks I copy her. But I don't? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 04:00 AM PDT Okay so basically what happened is that my cousin/best friend owns a Segway/Hoverboard thing. I've also really wanted it. I really want to save up my money for it and buy it... but if I do she will thinks I am copying her and our friendship would be ruined. I've known her my whole life but whenever I want something she has, she would get sulky. don't say "get one anyway she is just jealous" or "don't be her friend anymore" because we are family and our mums are twins, if we stop talking it may cause a family rift. I don't know what to do!!! |

Question: Is it bad that I want a "big brother" friendship? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 01:58 AM PDT I'm a male myself and pretty much at this point my entire family doesn't get along while my parents are trying to force each other to like each other. I have a twin brother but we really don't get along at all because he has anger issues.. So anyway something I've always wanted is a best friend that I see more of as a big brother, someone who I can trust and look up to and someone would I know would watch out for me. Is this wrong considering I already have a family? If not how would I go about cultivating this type of friendship? I don't have many friends as it is. |

Posted: 21 Aug 2017 01:12 AM PDT (Female 14 years old) When I started middle school I was timid because I wanted to focus on school, but naturally as the years passed by I became more social, though I have never been one of those people who are really outgoing. As I was finishing up 8th grade, one of my friends asked me if I knew anyone who thought I was too dramatic. I said no and laughed since I wasn t really social except with close friends. She told me that recently a few people had been telling her that they thought I was "extra". I immediately felt a pang to the heart because 1. Why was my friend talking to people who were saying these things behind my back and 2. I ve always been (quietly) sensitive to people s opinions of me. Now, months have passed and a new school year is starting soon. Just last night my family went over for dinner at my brother s girlfriend s house and we were talking when I heard my name and looked up. My brother was talking to his girlfriend and he said "are you calling my sister pretentious?" While kind of chuckling. He then noticed I had heard and turned to me and said "she says stuff like this all the time." Again, I was hurt. I don t understand why people tend to say these things about me. I ve always had trouble making female friends which I have only just recently started to realize is probably because of my looks, so that might have something to do with it. I don t know, but please tell me what you guys think. This has really been bothering me for quite some time. |
Question: Was she actually mad I didn't go to her game or probably not serious? Posted: 21 Aug 2017 01:03 AM PDT I told her yesterday "someone told me you were mad I didn't go to your game" and surprisingly, she said she *was* mad. She was like "Yeah girl I was mad! You said you were gonna come through! You better come to the next one..." But I couldn't tell how serious she was being. She had invited me by text, saying the time and date. She said she "needed me to be her cheerleader". I was like "Oh any day, girl! Gotta go get my costume" She was like "just show up in booty shorts and a sports bra lol". And that was the end of that conversation. Just trying to be funny but didn't actually confirm I was going. During her game, I texted that I hoped she was killing it and that I would try to crash one of her games sometime. And all she texted was an uninviting "We won." Because of the terseness, I didn't know if she wanted me to respond so I didn't. 45 minutes later, she texted "Are you working?" Probably looking to see if I had an excuse. But no, I said I had been studying a bit and was then heading to the gym. Was she mad? Would you have been mad? |

Question: He doesn't respond to my messages immediately...am I overreacting? Posted: 20 Aug 2017 11:46 PM PDT I've been talking to this guy on fb. He is who he says he is. We went to middle school together. But I don't get a response from him every day. Sometimes he takes 2-3 days to respond to one of my messages (now they are extremely long lengthy messages). He says he works 10 hour days and he does apologize when he responds and it has taken him a while. Sometimes he's not on fb for 8 hours or so. But sometimes he does get on and doesn't respond at that time. But it does take time to respond to the message and sometimes I only see him on for a minute or two like he's just quickly checking fb and doesn't have time to respond. We're in our mid 20's. Based on the responses he gives and the things he says, it seems like he's interested but I just don't know. It makes me nervous that I don't hear from him every day and that we don't talk constantly like I have when getting to know someone and falling for them in the past. Am I overreacting? |

Question: If he sees you as "important", does that mean he cares? Posted: 20 Aug 2017 08:38 PM PDT My friend, who I am totally in love with, was picking me up from my house today. He usually shows up at 8:30am-ish, but didn't get there until 9am. Turns out, he left his house later than expected. I told him I thought he forgot about me, he said "I typically don't forget about important things". Does that mean he cares about me? |

Question: Have a friend that acted all sweet to try to use me for something.? Posted: 20 Aug 2017 07:46 PM PDT Saw through it and didn't give in. Now she is trying to make herself look good to other mutual friends by making herself the victim and talking "Smack" about me to others. It trickles back to you one way or the other. I know that she isn't a real friend. I get that. Yet she is in the same social circle. Should I tell others my story about what happened, or just let it be? Explain why or why not. |

Question: My friend wants to know everything I buy or do costs...very annoying? Posted: 20 Aug 2017 06:24 PM PDT |
Question: Do you think my friend's wife dislikes me? Posted: 20 Aug 2017 06:04 PM PDT I have this friend who is married. I have feelings for him that I try my best to hide from both him and his wife. I respect their marriage and family and would never want to jeopardize it. Lately, I've been around his wife more because I go to their church and have for a couple months, but lately he's been giving me rides to and from church, due to me not currently having my own transportation. Usually, his son and another friend of ours are in the car. I'm starting to get the feeling that his wife isn't very fond of me. She's always kind to me when we're around each other and I recently added her on FB and she accepted, but I don't know. Today, it was just me since our friend had to take care of his sick mother and my friend/crush's son was in the car with us on the way there. After service, before we left, my friend decided to chat with a friend which became a whole group of people chatting and nobody even acknowledging me lol. His wife was there for probably 10 minutes before she finally acknowledged me by saying "hey _____, how are you?", but her smile seemed fake. As my friend and I got ready to leave, his wife told their oldest boy to go with us and he didn't want to. When he asked why he had to, my friend's wife sternly said "because I said so." Do you think she dislikes me or doesn't trust me with her husband? He and I rode alone together a few Sundays ago while she took our other friend home (long story) and she apparently told our other friend that she and my friend started talk-talking because she would always give him rides home from college every weekend. I think she was trying to hint at something, knowing our friend would tell me. I'm 26, my friend is 37. I should have specified that his wife and two youngest kids ride in a separate car than he and his oldest kid. |
