He has many toys already. He rarely plays with them and wants constantly new toys. I don't want to hurt his feelings but him begging me for toys really are going on my nerves. How should I handle this. I told him already that playing together and spending time together is more worth than toys but he continues to bug me for toys EVERY TIME he sees me. About 2 years ago I moved away from home because I joined the military. Since then I have very little drive to do anything except what is absolutely necessary in my life. I never really thought much of it but one of my buddies from work said I needed to take better care of myself. I don t really have that much drive to go out, make friends, be sociable etc. I would rather be in my room on my computer all day. I've known my close friend since middle school. We hung out non-stop at the beginning of this year, had a bit of a road block, and then started hanging out again in january. I'm used to ups and downs with her. I put up with her passive agressive behavior, her admitting she was jealous and "wishing her problems were mine", her treating me like a girlfriend, constantly asking for help with homework (post-hs), and her emotional issues. Look, I'm not perfect either. I'm very sensitive, but I express myself instead of giving the silent treatment. Perhaps it's because I care about the friendship enough to try that I've put up with all of this crap. THat being said, she has a tendency to silently punish anyone who pisses her off. It was "cute" or "fine" when we were in our teens, but now we are both 22. She and I are both at home for the summer, and in college. She came over last saturday, and I was in the shower (that was on me..I should not have taken so long), and my twin sister was with her. My mom got pissy that everything wasn't clean. We went to the movies, and mid-hangout, she turns to my sister and I and says she wants to go home. "Okay." She said she was "ill." She messaged my sister while we were with another friend to say sorry for leaving abruptly, but said nothing to me. I sent her an apology. She messaged me a week later (whole week), and then admitted that everything I said was what she felt. I apologized again after she messaged me yesterday. She has not responded. TO clearify, I have also taken her to family gatherings with me. I recall going to a gathering where she showed up late when we were leaving. I didn't punish her, or give her the silent treatment. I was very nice. I've also waited for her to shower or get ready more than once. THis is typical. In her response about our hangout, she said, "sorry for getting back to you so late....I was upset about waiting when I thought you would be ready." I understood that. THen she proceeded to say that she cares what my mom thinks of her. My mom is very maternal. I'm constantly helping her clean, and my friend knew that if my sister and I left without completing the kitchen she'd be pissed. So, maybe she was afraid of my mom being mad at her. I guess it just bugged me that she was more concerned with my mom's opinion of her than mine. She legitimately hates her mother, and admitted at one point she envied my family dynamics. I felt bad. last thing: this is not my first female friend to get attached to my mom or resent my family dynamic. I literally had a friend who called my mom "mommy". My twin sister and I went on a college road trip with her and another girl. We got really close, until she became too attached to our family. I realize this friend isn't like that, but how she treats me always comes back to how my "mom sees her". She even tried to invite my mom out with us a month or two back. I found that really strange. she ironically doesn't realize that by slighting me she's inadvertently pissing off my sister and mother. She's friends with my sister as well.

my friend and I used to work together before I left for mental health reasons, I'm doing far better off now and the owner of our work place offered me a job again. I took it since I'm in a finical bind and am trying to support my brother and I, pay my bills and go to college. So I recently found out I'm pregnant, my whole family is against abortion saying I have to keep it, they'll help, but I just know they won't, except my sister whom I live with. She has two young children in school who never stop making noise, crying, destroying things and basically pissing me off every day(I share room with them)The father of my unborn child is willing to help most definitely, but offcourse I'll be the one doing the actual caring...forever. The circumstances of the situation is that he has another child and lives with his baby mom saying it's complicated, also he has done something unforgivable with a fake sneaky ex-friend of mine. I'm about two months and everyday I think of an abortion, I'm not sure if it's because of all the emotional hurt involved on my part, or I'm simply not ready to be a mother, or a mother to HIS child more specifically. I Finally cut him off from having sex as I've attempted many times, and he keeps asking and I feel myself beginning to hate him as the reality of being stuck with him through a child comes closer, even though he has been nice and all. I honestly feel stupid for continuing with him after my so call friend dipped her toe in and now the child could be proof of my emotional stupidity. I'm not sure what to do, at the end of the day it's me alone as a mom with the responsibility, no matter who SAID they'll help.

My life is a mess. my parents are going to couples therapy and my bestfriend moved away. My siblings are also all in college and i'm alone at home. I don't even want to do dance anymore but i force myself because i need to get into college. I find that a 7/10 friends I get that find are really cool, until a month or two later. Starting my third year of college in a week and a half. for some reason, basically everyone I meet right away gets the impression that I'm some kind of genius. They're wrong. I'm Pulling a C+ average which puts me in the bottom quartile of my graduating class. It's extremely unpleasant when someone who initially has this all positive impression of me inevitably finds out how mediocre I truly am. I can practically see the disappointment on their face. Aside from knowing that I'm being judged, it's not great to feel like I bamboozled someone into unrightfully having a high opinion of me. How can I stop making people think I'm intelligent?

One of my close friends asked me to go spend three days at the beach with her. I have some severe issues with saying no, so I said that I'd go. Im curious to know about moments were other humans, particularly those close to us, made our lives difficult. I was speaking to a friend of mine today and he told me the most extravagant story about the start of his new relationship It was an impressive story and I felt that I had to share it with you guys. My friend and his family are very privileged, they come from an established family and have houses in Florida and Long Island. My friend had an immense crush on his friend's sister but she was already in a relationship. The brother wanted his sister to be with my friend because he is a man of connections and this brother wanted to use his sister as a means of achieving this. The family works with real estate and the brother, being licensed in both NY and Florida, wanted to get into this little club. What happened? He introduced his sister to his wealthy friend and the two rascals diabolically plotted to break up her and her current boyfriend. My friend so he can get the girl, her brother so he can have stronger ties. It managed to be successful, the brother, a fierce machiavellian man, slowly lured the boyfriend into a life of drugs and alcohol which severely jeopardized the man's job too. Looking back at this, I can't help to think how awful my friend and his "brother in law" made this man's life miserable. One was lustful, the other was greedy. Together they broke a couple up and he, my friend, seduced the girl with his affluent status.

I feel awkward because I told him, it is true but I don't know I guess it would be hard to hear that and I wish I told no one. So one of my classmates sold me a keyboard instrument yesterday for $40 and silly me, I didn t test it out because I trusted her. Well that night I plugged it in and turned it on but the keyboard was broken! I messaged her on Facebook immediately, but she said "lol too late". I asked her for a refund and she said she spent it all on gas so no. Then I said I was pretty mad and wanted her to at least trade the broken one out for her other keyboard. She said yeah sure. Now I m trying to get her to agree to a time and place to meet to trade and I would be able to accommodate to her schedule. But suddenly she has absolutely no time to meet with me. What do I do now? What can I say to make her trade broken keyboard for her working one?

So I was home schooled for 3 years (8th grade to 10th grade) and decided to go back to school this year for 11th grade, because I was starting to get really linely and have more anxiety. But now that I'm in high school, I feel just as lonely because I didn't think it would be this hard to make at least ONE friend. There's this girl I talk to and she was homeschooled as well but she really isn't someone I see myself getting close with because we only take one class together and maybe not even that because Im changing my schedule for the yearbook club. Lunch is always super lonely and awkward, I have an eating disorder so that makes it worse when you have no friends to distract you from everything. I'm not the "typical pretty girl" who people are automatically drawn to. I have to show my personality in order to make friends and that doesn't happen until I feel comfortable with the people. before I left traditional school, I had an extremely close group of friends so this is definitely not something I'm used to. I understand, i came 2 years late when everyone already knew each other and tbh if I had close friends already I wouldn't be as anxious to get to know the new kid either. Should I just go back homeschooled even though I pretty much begged my mom to quit it?

So my mom is super delusional because she keeps on thinking my friends steal my clothes. I know this sounds funny but like its a real problem. If you make it to the top in the tournament you could get anywhere from $500 - $6000. If you know you can earn money winning the gaming tournaments would you travel around the world playing in tournaments? The tournaments last about 2-3 days and then you come back home

We are 16. She always says things like "I'm sick of these punks" "I'm sick of seeing all these little 16 year tramps posting their butt" "all these gross couples making out in public is gross. Do they not know they're gonna break up in less than a year" whenever everyone in class in laughing at something funny, she's the only one sitting there with no face expression or an annoyed face expression. She's very pretty and has a super good body and whenever someone asks her why she never gives the guys who hit on her a chance she says "I don't date these little boys I like grown men" she only likes guys 21-28 and SHE IS 16!! She always calls people our age little boys but she's the same age!! What's her problem? She has a good personally and all but along with that, she's a hater. Why?

Best friend, myself, and other girl were making silly videos on our phones and I was just being my usual goofy self so I was making faces and whatnot. Lisa frikin attacks me and goes "(my name), you're so ugly". Lisa tried to make it seem as though she meant something different, but excuses excuses. I sort of feel like she targets me because she has an inferiority complex. Like when I'm in a neutral mood she'll do things like treat me like I'm dumb, or when I'm in a bad mood she'll say things that make me feel worse rather than helping. I'm just confused because I've gotten compliments from men and stuff but I'm also apparently ugly? No "you are what you perceive yourself to be" comments please nor low self esteem accusations. It's not that I'm just confused.

I just moved from a public to a private catholic school and I am a junior. Its kinda hard to make friends because people have their friend groups. Everyone at the school seems nice but I just want a friend group. I have been in school a week and it has been a bit rough. I do sports so I try to eat with people that have common interests. I am on a different team then them while they grew up together. I met this one girl that has really helped me, but I can't shake the feeling that I am being clingy/needy to that girl and her group. At my school there are 2 different lunch periods that change every day so it is not a guarantee that they are there all the time. I am sometimes shy but otherwise outgoing and chill. Advice please

Recently, my childhood friend has been drifting and leaving hints that she doesn't want to stay friends. My other friend told people she didn't want to be friends with me because I "stole her homework" which is a complete lie since she got much worse grades I actually corrected it when she asked me so that makes no sense. Some tell to my face how I should fix myself. Others say that behind my back. Some straight up bully me and others just spread rumors. Now I'm lonely but I'm afraid to make friends because I just always end up hurt in the end. I started drifting from some of those people when I learned these things and I'm just so lonely.

I have a little problem with 1 of my 2 best friends. My friend( zack), texted at around 1 asking me to hang out around 10pm. I told him sorry but I had comitted to another friend that night(cara). I said that I was free right then if he wanted to do something, but he seemed upset. Plans with cara didn't happen, so I immediantly texted zack to say I was free. He responded "wow can we hang out lucky me", and explained that he felt I had chosen her over him. Am i wrong?

i keep losing my friends bc i just don't talk to them or hang out w them much. but i don't want to lose their friendships. i just can't help it. but i always seem to be able to talk and hang out w my boyfriend. it doesn't get tiring w him, but i get exhausted from talking and hanging out w friends so I never make plans w them. but i don't want to stop being friends. and i have been diagnosed w depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc. if that has anything to do w it.

I don't know why but throughout my elementary-middle school years I've had several bullies. Idk why they keep coming but I bash their face in when they pick on me physically. I don't have any friends and I'm pretty anti social. But honestly, why do they keep coming? I've been suspended 3 times for beating their face to a bloody pulp already. Haven't they learned their lesson? I'm not concerned about Having no friends. I don't really care about them really.
