So, please give me some advice on this.. It's my life's biggest problem - I have no friends! I am almost 20, I know I'm still young, but there are short and unique periods in your life that you shouldn't miss, and there's a lot I've missed and yet to miss. I have two good friends, but they both live in two different countries, they only come twice a year and we go out maybe 1-2 times together. The rest of the time I stay home and try not to freak out. I am going to university. I tried, but I failed to make any friends there. All my colleagues are magically from different cities. Everybody I know is from a different city. My town is small, there's a few coffee shops, two gyms, a pool and whatsoever. I am too skinny and I don't wanna go to the gym cause people are ignorant... I don't know how to swim, and even if I knew I can't go alone. You just can't go anywhere alone in my town, you can't just go and meet friends. People will judge you if you have no friends and will of course think something is wrong with you. I think I'm attractive since any time I go out, there's girls that notice me, but I never had a chance to have a girlfriend, because I don't go out and people don't know me at all.... I am usually able to solve any kind of problem, but this one is just impossible and I'm stressing over it for real. Miracles just don't happen in my life... |

But I feel left out, I went through some **** and in the end of it they were the only two friends I had. So they mean a lot to me. I've always been taught that inviting yourself is rude. But thats the only way, so that's what I've been doing. And every time I say "hey can I join?" They're like "omg yeeees it'll be so much fun!" And we all have a great time. But it seems like I always have to invite myself? And when I do go, one of them always gravitates to me and it seems like we're super close. So idk what to do. |

I always thought that if you had nice things people would want to talk to you more and hang out with you more. The school I go to is probably upper middle class and most of the kids dress regular, but me I bought I whole bunch of brand name cloth like Gucci, Ralph Lauren, saint laurent and other expensive brands to get more friends and stand out. I even bought an iPad Pro 12.9, MacBook, and Apple Watch this school year to show how well off my parents are. But still no one approaches me or even compliments me and I know I dress well. My problem is why aren't people liking me more because of what I have I am quiet in class but if someone talked to me I'd try to talk too not even the girls want to talk to me I thought girls loved guys who have expensive stuff. Should I shop at good will and thrift stores and dress like I am poor to make friends? Are all my items making people feel umcortable around me like not at my level or what? |

This friend said no, now they expect me to continue helping them with their projects and so on, they pay me for helping but they pay far lower than what I would normally get, I only allowed this because I considered them a friend. I was going to block them from my social media but I decided not to burn the bridge that way and just slowly fade out from them, I can t stand them now, cause I would never have left them out on the street no matter what, what would you do? |

As I grew older I took social skills and then I believed it started to fade away. Nowadays people don t have the slightest clue that I have it but lately I have seemed to notice it. So I do have a ton of friends but sometimes I think that they pity me and I can be very awkward and be seen as weird and it s hard.for me to get the social cues that other people are making to me. Yesterday though my friend said they needed to talk so he told me what my group of friends said about me behind my back... They said that I stink at times and can be awkward around d girls when I first meet them. Also that I am a bad influence to my brothers and need to change my habits. My mom thinks I'm too quiet and closed off. I don't really have any friends, only acquaintances, and we don't meet out of school. My mom wants me to be more social and completely change my personality. She says I'm too serious and because of that, I look mean and intimidating in public. She thinks that I'm unhappy the way I am, but I'm not! I'm an introvert, so being alone makes me feel happy. I don't mind social situations, and I really do try to be kind towards others. Most people say I'm sweet and nice, but the thing is, it's really hard for me to make new friends, and when I do (for no reason) they always ditch me or we drift apart. My mom thinks it's because I look "insecure" in public, she thinks I'm not confident in my self, but I am! I have no problem with the way I look, or my personality. I'm quiet, but definitely not shy, though I am a bit more reserved. I love to sing, and I participate in music events and in choir, so most people don't see me as shy either. I'll admit I am studious and not much of a party person, but is that such a bad thing? I want friends who like me for me, and my mom doesn't understand that. She doesn't think I CAN make friends who like me for me. It's make me feel depressed, whenever I feel confident in myself, she puts me down. I met my japanese friend playing an online videogame, and she told me I could use Kik to chat with her. I did, and I do chat with her every once in a while. But an update for the app came in this year, allowing people to join public chat rooms. I decided to join one and liked it, and at first it really wasn't much of a distraction. But as time passed I started to become more and more addicted to it, and now I can't seem to stop! I would gladly delete the app but I don't want to lose contact with my friend. What should I do? We're not friends; we barely communicate outside of work matters, and even then it's very minimal. A few weeks ago, he came waiting to see the boss and proceeded to question me as to how big was my belly now and demanded that I stand up so he could see. Yesterday he asked how much time was left and how far along I was. IMO, it's none of business, so trying to be polite I just said a few more weeks. As quickly as the time has flown by, it will feel like a few weeks. He continued to press, then argued with me as to how far along I am. My last pregnancy, he said my attitude was sh***y" and I be better nicer to him. Now, this time he commented that "we've been through this before," which I responded to him "yes, but that's make it more welcome or any less annoying." Everyone here tries to avoid any conversation with him as best they can. But, I work in the office, so I kind of have to deal with him. My boss usually steps in when he's in, but he is off today. Since it's slow and my boss is off, I'm trying to catch up in my class (law chapter). I got all of my work done this morning, and there has been no phone calls or emails. The last thing I need today is this bozo coming in to ask me personal crap that is none of his business. Any suggestions? I'm afraid that I will go off if he comes in again today, regardless what it's about. |

I'm now a junior in high school. My friend blew me off a lot this summer and it seemed as though she didn't care to put an effort into our friendship. She also became close to people doing drugs/smoking/alcohol and tried some herself. As a result she became a pretty crappy friend to me. But this last week I got together with her once and she said she is making an effort not to hang out with those people anymore. (This past year in highschool has been pretty tough and I've lost touch with all my other best and close friends which sucks) Like many, I tell my mom everything, especially when I'm worried. I have no one else (friends, siblings or a father since he isn't a part of my life) to talk to. I never took into consideration that my mom would tell her father everything specifically after I told my mom not to. Now her father not only knows, but told her it all came from me. Then he took her phone away and read all her texts and she is punished really bad. My friend called me so angry at me, saying that she is in "deep ****" because of me and that she wont tell me anything from here on. (She hasn't really been telling me much to begin with, I had to find out from social media what she's been up to most of the time). I didn't mean for this to happen. Is there anything i can do to fix this? Should I just wait until the start of school and reach out to try and make new friends? Both? |

I usually perform better than him in class, but on the few occasions he does better than me he laughs at me and rubs it in my face and generally acts like a jackass. I don't even do the same to him. Whenever this happens, I just ignore him until he goes away, but he never seems to stop doing it. Even after being talked to by the teacher, he doesn't change at all. And insulting him doesn't work either, because he just starts following you around and spouting ten times as many insults as you gave him. I have wanted to beat the crap out of him many times, but then I would get in trouble. Any other ways to give this kid what he deserves? |

And when she found out about an ex which I was with 7 months before, she flipped out, and when a girl put a rose next to her name on snapchat she kept asking me who that was, and when we were at a bar, a girl was trying to dance with me and she threw water at her and pulled me in for a really deep kiss, she also told me of nightmare where we were at a party and she saw me kissing another girl. So last night, she told me of this guy who asked for her number and asked her out to dinner and she told me she hesitently said yes. So I asked her the question, "are you trying to make me jealous" and she flipped out and started getting mad and sad with me that I don't trust her. I brought up the snapchat thing up and she got even madder and said "what does that have to do with anything" But the last thing she said last night was to tell her how much I love her. This morning she said good morning and that she loved me and I apoligized and she said it was okay I would appreciate comments, what do I do? |

I got mad at him over something and tried to fight him over it, and after that we weren't friends anymore. Well I thought I was over everything that happened, but he's been popping up in my life here and there because my fiance is friends with his girlfriend. My fiance said I should try and rekindle a friendship between us, but I quickly declined. I really wasn't interested in a friendship between us again. Especially after all the stuff he said about me when we fell out. All the personal attacks on my character as a man was hard for me to forgive. So I said no. But I realized how much I still don't like this guy and I want to beat the **** out of him. I used to box and was in MMA for a bit but I didn't fight. Started in boxing when I was 13 and MMA at 18. I used to teach him how to fight so he'd know how to defend himself, but I'm a fighter at heart. Something about fighting just gets my blood going and it excited me. Not senseless fighting like street fighting but competition. I realized how easy it would be for me to kick his ***. But my fiance told me not to do it or she would be pissed at me. I know I'm being petty but oh well. I won't fight him unless he does something but that doesn't mean I won't try and provoke a fight. |

So Ben told the bf that he wanted to **** me but after he tried I wasn't into it n he was very nice about it n still wanted to kiss n cuddle hang etc. so after I left this was Thursday he texted me that night n I took a few hours to reply then told him phone was dead n let's chill ANOTHER night it's wensday now haven't heard from him after that. What happened lol? Not as much fb activity since then either but he's been on. And today I dropped my girl n her bf off at the park for 3 hours when I picked them up I was like was dan n tevin there? Their like no but Ben was there n I was like who cares n his gfs like what's wrong with Ben? N I'm like a lot of things n they didn't laugh or say nothing. Why did they randomly mention he was there? Was it nothing or cuz they think or kno he likes me? Asking me what's wrong with him usually they don't care if I talk bad about somebody or ask why. So I guess my ? Is if he likes me n y he hasn't texted me then and if they possibly know or think he likes me? They are his friends. U think his friends know anything? |

Yesterday it was my birthday, so as a joke I told my friend that one person that I'm stalking right now didn't wish me a happy birthday and I feel mad. She always thought that I like him, though I didn't even meet him. soSo after few mins she's like 'I hope he doesn't block me' l. I understood what she has done and after some time I got the notification. At first I couldn't stop laughing but later I realized how embarassing it is... i felt so stupid and i can't forget this. Any advices how to forget this..? I know all of this may sound stupid but oh well |

| Posted: 17 Aug 2017 11:04 PM PDT So a workmate who I have know for a number of years who I think I am reasonably close with (probably closest friend at work) has me on his restricted list, I can tell because there is virtually nothing on his wall, I heard from a distance him talk to another work colleague about something he put on facebook (i don't know if he is on the restricted list aswell) I assumed he put everyone on the restricted list from work, But it made me think even if he did, I would consider him close enough of a friend not to be on a restricted list Am I overthinking things or what? Because to be honest I find it kind of offensive |
