The only problem is an old best friend and her twin sister. So the big bang between most friendships - we fought over something, went through phases, stopped being friends. I tried to cut all our conversations short in a way that isn't obvious, and since she has gotten the hint we don't talk. The period I have her in is only one class(thankfully)after lunch, and I don't talk to her at all much because she sits a little farther than me from our table. However, her sister now often comments on what I'm doing, or laugh when I do something weird, or just question everything. It sounds like she wants to be my friend, but she's the 'louder' of the two and likes to be a ***** ever since my I stopped being close to her sister. So far she hasn't directly said anything too bad, she'd just sound snarky sometimes. I want to switch that class, but have to keep it unless I want a class in the 2nd semester I hate. Is there a way to just fully ignore them. I really wish they would just transfer. |

We were told to write anything on our minds, after he gave us time to write, he said we have to read them out loud to everyone. My hands and voice were shaky, and my face was completely red. Even for 30 minutes after reading I was still shaky, tense, and nervous. I ve only talked to people I ve known before high school so far, and haven t made any new friends in this first week of high school. I feel uncomfortable just doing up to anyone and having small talk, I think about everything I say too much. When a group of people are talking, im the silent one awkwardly standing there. I know It s not just in my head because even my few friends tell me I m awkward. |

My friends are all really innocent, really pure and I don t want them to know I was actually going to end my life. However, they are very persistent. What is a reason to be in a hospital for a week without coming out in bandages or broken bones? Posted: 29 Aug 2017 03:03 PM PDT So essentially people at my school, teachers, friends parents, etc continuously judge me for something that happened over 4 years ago. I am now going into my senior year of high school and i still get brought up in people's conversations daily. I can't seem to escape it. What had happened was that I got into a fight with a girl who kept bullying me throughout 7th and part of 8th grade. I got tired of her laughing at me and making fun of my family situation so I kinda just exploded. I look back on it now as being not that big of a deal because people fight at my school frequently and I already dealt with the consequences, but others can't let it go. I've heard from my friends that I have been brought up in classroom discussions in psychology classes at my school. (Apparently the teacher was joining in on the discussion) My best friends mom even said recently that she didn't want me hanging around her bc I have made bad choices. I guess it doesn't matter that it happened in MIDDLE SCHOOL. People claim I still have bad grades when I have a 3.5 gpa and am in multiple honor societies. I get along with a lot of people and have great friends but people always bring up my past to put me down. I just need to understand why people won't let things go. |

We're rooming together again this year for college. I love her, but sometimes I can't help but be jealous of her. She's stunningly beautiful. She's tall, thin, has blonde hair and green eyes. She's done modeling before and she's thinking of trying out for Victoria's Secret (which I have no doubt she'll get into). Literally everywhere we go, guys hit on her and girls always compliment her on how gorgeous she is. Last week, I brought her to meet my family and they literally paid no attention to me and they were infatuated with her. Whenever I post pictures of us on social media, my male friends always nag me about who she is and how much they want me to introduce her to them. Multiple guys at our college literally knock on our door several times a day asking for her. She's also amazing at sports and fitness. I'm cute, but I'm so average compared to her (appearance-wise). I'm short and slightly overweight, I don't have shiny hair and a pretty face like hers. I'm not good at any sports. I try to focus on my positive qualities and my inner beauty. Not to brag, but I do a lot of charity work in poor countries during my school breaks. I also do better than her in college. I know that being kind is what matters most in this world, but I just can't help being embarrassed about myself whenever I'm around my roommate. I am so plain compared to her. In the past i've had more shady friends then real ones. I do go out to bars and I meet people there that seem pretty cool. Yes I do have a good judge of character after being too nice to people. One way to meet new people is to get yourself out. I like to go out and see live music so I meet local bands. I haven't met someone that i would call a friend in years but there is people at this bar I like and I could see myself being friends with them. I have more fun hanging out with girls more than guys. Even though, guys are nicer than girls sometimes, girls mature faster then guys. Ive never went out with anyone who's not my family memeber. I'm a junior in high school, and over the past two years at my old school, Id just came back from the country my parents were from, and it made me forget most of English, just being able to form coherent sentecnes. I was always depressed, I would look up people's social medias and how happy they were, listening to conversations and writing down what I didn't understand. I would count what I did wrong, and create a scenario of what I would do better in the future. I've done so MUCH, even forcing my self to watch movies and shows I don't enjoy at all. What I did? the list could go on for days!. I moved this year to a new high school, and I was so confident. I didn't have a 6th period class though. All the work I've been doing kinda did pay off. At first day of school in an elective, I met someone, we've talked for the entire period and shared very close interests. I think the conversation went well! Best one I've had in a while. there was no mess ups. The next day, the classes went 2,4,6,8, but problem was I didn't have a 6th period, so I went to my councilor and the only suggestion was to change the elective I met my potential friend in since that particular teacher had no other class. I wasn't shocked, because I've failed so many times to get friends, although I didn't fail this time, something just had to happen to prevent that. |

I lost all my closest friends, as in they all turned against me and started bullying me. All the drama lasted for about 4 months. 4 months of the year was gone and i was finally done w all the bullying. That year, I met a girl ****** and we became best friends. We hung out every single day and everything was going so well until she opened up to me. She had so many family problems and she was depressed. She started doing self harm and she told me someone was blackmailing her in our year group. Blackmailing as in saying things like "where are your party pictures ******? are they gone? luv u b*tch - A " this was just an example. She told me the person was someone in the party and the name started with an A. On the last week of school i created a sarahah and told my followerd to go do my sarahah. I found a comment ending with -HA which made me so confused because ****** said it was "A" when there was "HA". I asked her a few questions on the phone like "what if A's a boy?" she claimed that she didn't know. I went to my sarahah after we ended the phone call and i got a message saying "listen to ***** im not ****** im a boy" when i asked her if its a girl called ****** over the phone. This clearly proved that she was faking everything the whole time ! I couldn't believe it , she faked everything. My whole year group believes her because i don't have actual proof to show them since it was over a phone call. Everyone hates me. |

Appalled, I told him that my expression I currently was using was my normal facial expression. I asked him why he doesn't come to my apartment to come see me no more and he says he is busy, but then I I look at his FB timeline and he is tagged in pictures with who I refer to as his "real friends." I call and text him on his phone, but he doesn't respond. The phone rings and goes to voicemail where it says his voicemail is not set up, so I know his phone works. He only communicates with me on Facebook messenger. He texted me he loved me on FB messenger and said he was coming to see me,but didn't come. When I asked what happened to him, he didn't even offer me an explanation he just texted me a big thumbs up. The past two years he has had birthday celebrations and I have called him in the middle of getting ready, but oddly he did not invite me. My mom recently died and he came to the funeral, paid for drinks for my family at the bar and for our bowling (something my family did to take my mind of things). He has a male friend and helper who works with him on various jobs and this person stays in the same apartment complex of me and outside of working, he hangs with him and I believe scoops this person up for jobs but can't come by to see me. Side note: I think he gave me HPV and when he and a friend stormed out my apartment,he allowed people to play on my phone when I tried to call him. I would call and different people would answer and be playing on my phone. How do I confront him? |

I even broke my ankle trying to kick his door in because he wouldn't let me in. I thought he had a girl there. After 4 years he decided to move back to Chicago and I didn't want to go back. We tried long distance again for 6 months but it didn't work. He was cold, distant and often unavailable. Whenever I asked why, he'd be mean. So I left him. Now 2 years later he started reaching out. After a month of talking again I went to Chicago to visit him. I took my son on our dates and we had a blast. I just got a letter & a book in the mail saying I shouldn't get back with him from an anonymous sender. They claim he has a player there and I deserve better than a cheater. The book is called Mr. Unavailable and the fallback girl. Y would someone send this to my job? Is reconnecting with him a bad idea or should I keep trying? |

But she always slips out at the end of the shift without coming over and saying a simple "see you later girl!" I don't know why but it bugs me. I didn't ignore her; I just didn't come in with a formal hello...I'd always talk to her during the shift where time allowed. |
| Question: Is my daughter too bossy or is our neighbor-friend too sensitive? Posted: 28 Aug 2017 09:43 PM PDT Our girls are 6 and in the same grade but my daughter is 8 months older. My daughter is pretty well rounded, has lots of friends, pretty diplomatic and is able to express herself. She's also at an ideal weight. Our neighbor is quite the opposite. She is shy, obese, not as quick to get things, and absolutely cannot stand up for herself-the slightest thing will make her cry. She can't handle any conflict. I'm friends with her mom and we've been getting together every week for over a year. Lately her mom finds the slightest thing my daughter says and waits for her daughter to stand up for herself, which she doesn't, and then makes a big deal of how my daughter has an attitude. For instance, my daughter said she doesn't want to sit next to her at dinner, which wasn't nice, but it wasn't drastic. Meanwhile, they played nicely for 3 hours before that. But because her daughter obeyed and then sat in another chair then proceeded to cry, my friend decided that they can't play together until further notice. I understand my friend wants her daughter to be more assertive but sometimes I think she overreacts to what my daughter says/does. I've tried to explain to my daughter that she is 'sensitive' but it doesn't help when she repeats that to me right in front of her! They ARE very different and it feels like we have to cater to my daughter's friend a lot of the time. My question is-will my daughter's friend grow out of this phase and is my daughter bossy? |
| Question: How to convince a friend to attend college instead of the Military? Posted: 28 Aug 2017 09:37 PM PDT I have a friend who was in the DEP to go to the Marines, but he ended up not going because he was overweight at the time of his ship out, i was in full support of him leaving but he kind of really pissed me off he didnt leave because he had worked so hard to come to this point for a year and now his future is at a halt, personally my buddy is really bad with keeping his word and when he says he's gonna do something he most of the time doesnt do it, i want to try to tell him to go to community college for a year because he plans on trying again next year to ship out, but i honestly dont think it might happen, i understand the heart it takes to become a marine, if one happens to read this, this branch has no room for those who arent commited |

I've never had a lot of friends to start with but when I quit high school three years ago (cause depression and anxiety) I lost all contacts with the only few people I used to talk to. I NEVER go out of my room. I'm here 24/7. I can't talk to people (not even my family) and especially make friends. Other than being anxious and shy I'm extremely quite and I have different interests than the majority of the people of my age so it's even harder to find someone. I keep dreaming of my old best friends, of meeting them again but I know they moved on a long time ago...I want to have a normal life but the more time goes on the harder it gets...I tried to go to a therapist but they didn't understand me...How am I gonna find a job and sustain myself once my parents are dead... (sorry if I made any mistake, I'm not fluent) |

Posted: 28 Aug 2017 08:40 PM PDT so im that chill dude who likes to be friends with everyone right, i consider myself a pretty friendly and nice guy towards people, most of the time i put the well being of others over mine but i guess they dont do the same.. they dont include me in group activities, they dont talk to me unless they need something from me and if they do talk to me its most of the time because they feel pity.. its like most of the time im just non existent. I always try to be happy and extroverted around people but i feel quite depressed over all of this and i just hate it. Should i just tell everyone to **ck off ? |

I am also an athlete however I feel like I haven't met any close friends. I am in a "friend group" with people from my pre-o group however I feel like the only thing I have in common with them is that we are a minority people of color at a PWI( predominantly white institute). I spend a lot of time studying as I feel that's why I'm here. My friends don't really get that I cant go out or hang out a lot. I also feel like I am socially awkward because I am not as confident as others. Sometimes I feel like I am too black for my white friends and too white for my black friends. Help what should I do? |

| Question: I feel depressed because I feel like my best friends are starting to avoid me? Posted: 28 Aug 2017 06:41 PM PDT Continuation: I have 3 best friends, and usually they talk to me a lot and tell me all the gossip going on. They view me as a good friend of theirs. But for the past few days, I feel like they have been avoiding me little by little. 1 of them still acts the same and doesn't avoid me but the other 2 seem to be distancing themselves from me. Also when one of them shows the other something cool, the 2nd one looks guilty and then tells the other girl to show me that cool thing. But I don't want to be included only because they feel bad for me. I don't even know what I did or what happened between the transition of me being part of their group and me being only "there". I've become depressed because of this. And even though they still talk to me nicely, they still don't talk about anything with me. Usually we'd talk about all sorts of stuff, and now it's just small talk. I don't know what to do and it's driving me nuts. |

We were going into the auditorium for an assembly and Gina asked "Where should we sit" And I pointed to the corner and said, "let's go into the crevice" and i said I wanted to go first to be in the very corner of the crevice (as a joke i know its bad) and she was like "you're so funny" very very sarcastically and ignored me. it rlly hurt me but i didn't let it bother me. Anna then asked us later if we wanted to go to the movies during the weekend and we said yeah . gina also invited another one of her friends, ella. now its the next day and Anna told me she wasn't gonna go to the movies and now I'm stuck w gina and ella. Should I go or not?(they're both also really popular stoner girls every wants to hang out with, but also i feel like they're talking trash about me). |

Posted: 28 Aug 2017 06:25 PM PDT Ive been best friends with this girls for 5 years now. she knows everything aboout me and i know everything about her. however almost 2 years ago she gets with this guy, moves in with him immediately, and then he blasts her past all over facebook (calls her names and all kinds of nasty things). she stays with him. so more time goes on and now its been 2 years. theyve broken up maybe 15 times. the last 9 months, the cops have been involved so have her parents. child services was involved and took his child for 4 months. no im the friend who is always honest. he knows i cant stand him and so does she. despite being best friends i cant be friends with her if sje is with him. he has threatened to post personal information about me on social media as well. if he treated her right i wouldnt care about getting tossed to the side but hes a piece of crap and its like shed rather be with him than anyone else.they recently broke up again and she was doing for a couple weeks now shes having sex with him. she claims thats all shes doing but i have a feeling she going to get back with him. i have done soooo much for her, including losing a job because she called me and told me he was drinking bleach and attempting to kill himself. still, nothing is happening. |

I love my friends so much i cant even imagine life without them! Especially my 3 best friends....i do literally everything with them theyre practically family!!! I know i have to move on to the next stage of my life but it honestly is breaking my heart and i dont know how to deal with it! My two closest friends leave this week and im feeling a mixture of panic, depression, and just overall anxiety about it. I think i literally have separation anxiety. Please help! |
