My friend is a racist, bigoted, immoral person. He constantly makes jokes about minorities and makes jokes about n*ggers and basically every other race that isn't white. He also made fun of the woman who was killed at the White supremacist rally in Virginia. He claims that he's just "joking" about everything he says and that he's just edgy and not politically correct, but I'm getting absolutely sick of it and it's tiresome to be around him anymore. We've been friends for so many years and have many great memories but I'm getting tired of the vile things he says. What should I do?

i gave it to myself as a toddler and it stuck in my family but it isnt a real name. but i'm 19 now and heading off to college and i want to shed my given name because i don't like it. however, my toddler nickname (my family still calls me by this name btw) kinda sounds like gibberish. would this be a dumb idea?

she always teases me but i found out she had a boyfriend so i got kind of cold with her, trying to stay focused on work. she came by my desk asking "why are you ignoring me" and saw me looking at job applications and she freaked out trying to get me to stay. she asked me to stay another year at this job and she even said she wanted to make me dinner. what is going on with her...i really like her but she's confusing me...

Her husband and she divorced 3 or so years ago, and so she moved in with her husbands parents. Im not sure how they got her to move out, but she moved herself and her 2 kids in with her dad last fall. She graduated from LPN school and had a job for about 4 or so months and got fired for being inexperienced. I have mentioned a few job openings to her, but she gets angry, screams at me and her kids and storms off. OK.. so I get it if she doesn't want to be an LPN, but she has to get a job to support her kids, and she cannot move in with me. Her dad has told her he is going to put his house up for sale and will be moving. Im pretty sure he wants her to get a job to help with house hold expenses. What do you think is going on in her head. She is 29yrs old. She sleeps in lil noon and text on her phone every day. Oh and the phone is paid for by her ex mother in law. Im not sure what to do to help her get herself together. Im her mom. What do you think?

heres thiscute guy who is in extremely good shape and goes to my gym who I started seeing there for 2 years now When he was new, My friend and I are always working out near him. We are 22 and I guess we are considered "gym bunnies", as guys flirt with us a lot. That's fine. We workout hard. This guy on the other hand seems bashful and respect ful of others space. Heard He was 31 but looked 25. He paces himself in between sets and talks to no one. Seems like a friendly guy as he smiles to people he waves to. he looks early thirties and into geek stuff which is fine. Into Star Trek, X-men and I see him in Walking Dead t-shirts. He never had a girlfriend he told my one friend who's a guy I know this might feel stalkerish but I tried to get his attention one day and he wasn't rude or anything but just stretching and kinda shook his head no in response to a question I asked The next day we walked past each other and no words were said and I saw he actively looked the opposite direction trying to amo eye contact with me. Though he is not being all creepy about it, I can see innocently checking me out as the facility has mirrors everywhere. When I walk past him he always is looking at the floor. He smirked at me one time. My friend knows he's not married nor gay. He said he gave up on trying at 27. He's 35 now. I heard he was teased by girls his whole life Just curious. He still the same and more distant now than ever. He always holds the door open for us if we walk behind him going into the place. friend has been acting weird lately like not himself at all and yesterday I met up with to have like a heart to heart talk with him and he just kept on talking over me, not listening me. Telling me that I'm the one acting weird when he's the one ignoring my messages, not wanting to hang w out blah blah blah. I got so fed up with it that I just said you know what I'm done I don't want be friends anymore or hang out anymore and all he said was don't hit me up anymore and that made me go numb and when I got home I got a text from him saying "lisa, I really do care for you, don't let a pity thing like this trip you out mkay" I never responded because I knew I wouldn't get a response back so I just ignored and also because I knew he probably didn't mean it

I have been with my bf for 11 1/2 years no kids.. He cheated on me and got this other woman pregnant, she s due any day now.. He hasn t made this process easy , he didn t tell me about going to the baby shower, he lied/ didn t tell me about meeting up with her to "figure out" what they were going to do.. She thought she was in labor just the other day but it was a false alarm but his mom, baby mama and him went back to her place and ate.. I want to meet her to ease my mind to believe him when he says that he doesn t want to be with her.. I was here first and I want to know what kind of relationship they really have...Should I make this request?

We always help each other through a lot and we've been friends for a long one and have a special bond. She's always so loving and supportive and very blunt haha. I post on Facebook quite a bit (not crazy) but I've been stressed and I will post once or twice about it, one of them was that I was terribly sick and had to go to the doctor.. And Although I never want pity from anyone, (I just post to lee my family updated) I'm just wondering why my friend has not been doing this lately.. usually she will comment or say something sweet on my post or something encouraging, but she hasn't much any more and I'm wondering why? I even sent her a letter like I do only at important times, wishing her well as I know her health is not doing well. She usually texts me saying thank you or how sweet it was but his time she just blew up my facebook with a bunch of likes (trust me, that's how I know she got it).. but why is she doing that now? Does she hate me ?

ight now im working a $8 job 22 and my girl is 20 she does the same. we plan on moving to a town that 45min away from my city. the reason is its cheaper alot cheaper. whats $850 for a apartment up here its half or less up there. ill do 2 stories my parents was like why would you move up there 45min away to come back to this place everyday driving back and forth will kill you and its a tow on your car you need to find a aparment down here thats $800-900 to be closer to your job and all. they said i could get a job getting $16 a hr. i said yes thats true but me and my girlfriend was going to split the rent up there which is like 150 each. on us and i was getting a better job so i told them you rather me pay $800 -1000 on rent and if she get up and walks out then im stuck on the lease. tey said thats why you need to get the $16 hr job which i agree but i wanted to move up there still. they told me you dont see it long term okay my cousin which lives up there pays rent, has a car with his girl, and a kid, pays 450 a month split bills and all. he told me people are crazy paying $800-1000 for a apartment when you can get a cheaper one up there. he told me do what i want to do but you are crazy to pay that much for a 2 bedroom or 1 for that matter. he said look its not hard at all up there. what would you do im set on moving in a good 2-3 months from now and it seem like a good plan my parents really like scared me and made me think theres no way out like im trapped.

I went out drinking with a group of friends and one of the girls who I hardly knew kissed and tried to have sex with my friend. He pushed her off him. Later I found out she had a husband, so I made contact with him and told him what she had done. I ve been cheated on before and if the shoe was on the other food I would want to know. The husband was grateful and told me this wasn t even the first time this had happened. I m now getting threats and being abused and shunned by everyone. I m pretty much loosing heaps of friends over this. I feel like an idiot who should have just kept her mouth shut. But I honestly thought I was doing the morally right thing. What would have you done in this situation? And should I have just stayed out of it?

I was at a party and the host ask me to drive Jane home as she was too drunk to drive. I agreed as I did not want her in a car accident. The host said I will call her husband and tell him you are bringing her home. When I got to her house, her husband met me a the door and would not let his wife come in the house. He said "She is not coming in this house until she sobers up". OH CRAP. What am I going to do? I can't leave her there drunk on her door step. I called the party host and ask her what I should do. She said to take her to your home and take her to her house in the morning when she was sober. I was not comfortable having a married woman sleep at my house over night. I was afraid of what her husband might do. He also seemed to me to be drunk but I didn't know what else to do so I took her home. The next morning she wanted to know how she ended up at my house and I told her. She was outraged. She said "I am not going back and live with that S.O.B. of a husband". Can I stay with you until I can find a place to stay. I told her no but I would help her find a place to stay. I was afraid of what her husband might do and/or I would get involved in a divorce case. Please tell me if I did the right thing here. Should I have let her stay with me?
