They call him gay because he watched shows like Twilight and vampire diaries. They call him a girl and makes fun of what he wears (shorts tee shirts and sneakers) They also call him a bi*** and tell him he should kill himself. He is also a little short for our age so they pick on him for that. We told the princapal and they got on the bullies for it but they still keep bulling him. He's so energetic and happy but when they mess with him he is quiet and sad! He doesn't want to go to the princapal again to talk to him. I comfort him the best I can (he's has enough thugs to last a lifetime) and he is comfortable talking to me about it. What other ways can I comfort him and let him know he's loved no matter what! |

One of my friends says I m responsible because whenever his name was brought up in our conversations I would tell a recurring joke about him (which wasn t crude or lewd, just word play on his name). I also told this kid the joke once but he just said to stop and I did (but I only stopped telling the joke to him, not my friend). Now, that kid committed suicide and my friend blames me because it was revealed he was suffering from depression and that I made things worse by "bragging" about the joke I made (I would tell it to my friend whenever this kids name was brought up and he would laugh too). My friend says every little thing adds up and therefore I m responsible for his suicide. I tried to explain to him that I haven t seen this kid in years but he won t listen. It was also revealed that this kid started suffering from depression in middle school, but I didn t know him until a year later. We were actually good friends and played games together, even though we poked fun at each other now and again. What should I do? |

I've thought about it a lot and decided that I don't ever want to talk to her again. Here are my options: 1. Slowly space myself from her and not talk to her as much as I used to. I've tried this, but she eventually noticed and became sad/mad and wanted to know why. I tried to tell her why I didn't want to talk to her as much, but she denied it and got angry at me and told me I was wrong and swore at me, so I ended up apologising, just to get out of the situation. 2. Straight up tell her. As said before, when I try to tell her, she gets angry at me and ignores me She is the most stubborn person I've met and will not give up, even when she knows she's wrong. Also, I don't want to put her through that because she's generally sensitive. And if I did that, she would probably be mad at me for eternity, but I can't live with that. I just want to know her as an acquaintance, not as a best friend anymore. Advice on what to do would be soooo greatly appreciated. She was always the one to get the guys. She was the one who got the job right out of college while I struggled in the recession. Then she marries someone rich and she hasn't had to work. Things of this nature. It just seems like my life has always been more of a struggle. Now her husband lost his job and while it's horrible because they may lose the house and they have kids in college, there is a part of me that is a little happy that they finally have some type of hiccup in their lives. I feel absolutely horrible and am a terrible friend for thinking this way. |

Their relationship that lasted 2 years before they finally broke up our senior year of high school. I had been friends with both of them throughout all of this time, but my best friend started to get jealous once she realized that me and her boyfriend were getting closer. They broke up for completely unrelated reasons, and I started spending a lot of time with her ex outside of school. Even though they were no longer together and she was seeing someone else, she still got jealous that we were hanging out. I will admit that there was some flirting, but obviously I never even thought of taking it farther. We literally just hung out together, almost always with other people. It's been almost 2 years since we graduated and me and her have grown apart. I moved out of state for college, and she has since joined the military and gotten married. I have really spoken to her or her ex much since graduation, but recently he's been wanting to hang out and has come to my house a few times. I figured that by now there would be no more drama, but apparently it's still an issue for her and some of our other friends. Is it really wrong for me to hang out with him? There were times during freshman year when all of his other friends and family turned against him and I was there to pick up the pieces for him. He would also be there for me in my time of need as well. When sophomore year came, he started to get closer with some of the same people who used to make fun of him. I didn't care as I was making new friends too. Junior year came and he started to change a bit, but then those same people started talking to him less. Through it all him and I were friends but there were times when he would act like someone I didn't know. I talked to him about how I felt and it seemed like we kind of sorted out all of our problems. We planned to get an apartment together senior year then when the day came to officially sign the lease he backed out. He said that he wanted to room with other people so I had no choice but to take a couple of months finding someone new to room with, I eventually found another person that could afford the rent with me. However I stopped talking to my other friend because I was really pissed that he made such a last minute decision. We haven't spoken in a while and he called me today. Should I call him back? I have two close friends, one I have had for 6 years and the other 4 years, and now that I am in College I feel more distant from them. I feel that whenever they have problems and talk to me about it, I help them out so much, but when I have problems they barely help me. They try but it doesn't seem genuine. I always seem to be the one making plans or saying that we should hang out. I have also realized that my two friends do things without me. They take classes together, they hang out together, they go to parties together, etc. and they talk about it in front of me too! One of them always turns to me and says " I'm sorry we're talking about this", but continues anyway. It's funny because I introduced them to each other and ever since that I regret it because my closest friend (the one with 6 year friendship) is closer to the other girl now. He didn't yell at us or anything but he said he was very disappointed in us and he took all of our weed and lighters away. He was gracious enough to not call our parents. I completely understand because I felt like a horrible person and I feel bad for disrespecting him and his house. Before I started I asked my friend if it was okay cause her dad was home and she said sure because she didn't care. I know this isn't a valid excuse but still. He didn't take my pipe because I couldn't find it at the time. The thing is my friend whose dad caught us leaves in a couple days for college and isn't going to come back home anytime soon because she hates her parents. So that means I won't be coming back to her house unless she visits from college which is very unlikely. Her dad said he would give us our stuff back after we got back from our roadtrip which was the next day. Well after my friend drops my stuff off after we get back from our roadtrip I can't find my weed or my lighters anywhere. I asked her where they were in my bag and she said her dad didn't give it to her or my friend. I'm 18 years old and I have a medical marijuana card so I bought it legally and spent $60 on everything he took. I legitimately use for medical reasons and ever since he took it away I haven't been able to sleep. My migraines are back and I don't know what to do. Should I ask for it back? |

| Question: Is it weird not to have friends in those big lecture hall classes? Posted: 10 Aug 2017 01:15 AM PDT I'm starting college next week and to be honest i'm just not the most social person in the world. I feel really awkward talking to/ meeting new people.I'm not worried about being friendless because I'm living with two really good friends of mine and between the three of us, our boyfriends, and mutual friends, we have a solid start to a friend group. but most of my friends are upperclassman and i am worried about those big lecture hall classes with a bunch of other freshman i don't know. i won't be there during most of welcome week because i'm living off campus (another strike against me, i know). i feel like so many of them will know each other from welcome week, rush week, orientation, the summer programs etc that I'm a little intimidated. this is a big state university with over 30,000 people. ideally I'll just get in and get out of class without people noticing me. But will everybody be coming to class with their friends? will it be noticeable if I'm "by myself?" I don't know if I should put in the effort to make "class friends" or not. to be honest, i'd rather not, but i don't want to be that antisocial loner in the corner either |

Posted: 09 Aug 2017 11:46 PM PDT he knows i like him and the other day he stayed on in the gym after his friends went and was training behind me and then walking past me etc. i kept looking at him all the time cause i hadnt seen him in a while. the guy obviously doesnt have any interest in me as he never asked me out after finding out i like him but why would he be hanging around when im there? |

I'm saving my money to buy a house, but my parents say that I'm too young to live alone. I know that I'm always a child for my parents, but other people also agree with them that I'm too young to live alone. I'm the youngest waiter at the restaurant and when some customers talk to me, they ask me:"How old are you?". And I say:"20". And then, suddenly they get surprised and theu say that it's wonderful that I work at such a young age! After that, they advise me that studies are the most important thing at my age and if I can't study besides my work, it's better to leave my job. I don't really look younger than my age and the people who say these things to me are aware of my age. The people who tell me these things are mostly middle-aged people (40 to 65 or more). |

Posted: 09 Aug 2017 09:01 PM PDT It's a really long story so to summarize it, my close friend was told by another friend that if she ever did this one "thing" he would never talk to her again. Well she did the thing and is blaming me for everything because someone told her some things that weren't true. She did do the "thing" but she's mad at me because she was told that I went around and told everyone and she thought that I knew that friend would stop talking to her (which I didn't) and she thinks I did this on purpose. I did tell one person about it but she thinks I was trying to involve him and keep her from doing the thing. Luckily, i save my messages on Snapchat and I sent her the screenshots to prove that I didn't say what she was accusing me of saying but she just left me on seen and I feel terrible. A part of me is saying I shouldn't have done that but I was just trying to look out for her, not cause damage. Another part of me is saying, if she cared enough about her friend she wouldn't have done the thing since she knew it was wrong. But I don't know, she's a really close friend and I don't want to lose her |

Recently I told him we should just stay as friends since we haven't even been getting to know eachother for more than 3 weeks (we've chatted here and there for 5 months). Right now he says he wants space and is currently ignoring me, he also seemed pretty upset saying how most girls don't know a good guy when they're right in front of them, and how they only know after they've been repeatedly hurt. I think I was the only one weirded out by the age gap even though i'm the younger one. This isn't the first time, nearly every guy who has confessed to me and got rejected has stopped talking to me even if we had the most fun ever. I'm not even the type to date someone unless I can envision dating them for more than a few months or so. It feels like such a shame to throw away a friendship and not talk to the other person again. |

I only have 1 friend and the other 2 people are just acquaintances to me. We are only acquaintances cuz they just don't want to be close friends with me. I find it not only HARD to make friends but I have no clue WHERE to make friends. I just go to and from work daily. Its hard for me to ask a coworker to hangout outside of work cuz our talk time is very limited so I don't have much of an opportunity to get to know them. After 2 yrs of being desperately lonely, it got easier to deal with cuz i got used to this lifestyle. Now, I just got rejected by a guy due to a misunderstanding but he used to be very interested in me. All of a sudden, the loneliness just hit back at me and I just feel abandoned. I feel unwanted and like nobody cares about me. I have no friends. My family is abusive. But I'm a really nice, friendly person. I realize that NOBODY wants to be close friends with me cuz everyone already has their own circle of friends. Everyone has their own support group so its extremely hard for me to break into being with them. ONLY guys who like me or are in love with me are willing to be close friends with me. Otherwise, I have no friends at all. |
