Question: I want to move out with out telling my dad? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 02:51 PM PDT I'm 18. My dad gets very abusive when he gets mad or stuff doesn't go as his plan he would physically hurt me...he would slap me, hit my head and hit me with an object(such as golf club anything that's metal or harden wood) it would leave a bruises on my body there was on day he threw fork on my head and I started bleeding..well my mom was there but she cant do anything cuz he woyld get worse .. she did try to stopl him but he cursed her out and hit her too..and there was on day i came home from work(i work as a server ) around 10 ( i give him all my pay check and i get to keep only 20 dollars) as soon as i got home he stated yelling at me about how my shoes smelled and the he would start to hit my butt with the golf club ..the reason why i dont report this to policw is because i dont want bad things to happen to him cuz end of the day he's still my dad so o thought the best idea was juat moving out without telling him ..well he did say if i move out or run away he would say we are betrayal and not going to be he's daughter anymore... what should i do ? |
Question: Brothers girlfriend won't change or watch their baby? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 02:45 PM PDT Ok, so when the baby needs changed the girlfriend will not change the baby. She always says I will do it next time but when the time comes she never changes the baby. My brother has to do it or if he isn't around she gets my mom to do it. Every time someone goes over to my moms, where my brother and her live, she always gives them the baby and runs to the bedroom. She stays on her phone 24 7. She always gives my mom the baby and goes to the bedroom and goes to sleep when my brother is gone. When he is here she gives the baby to him. Is there any way that my brother can get custody of the kid because the mother is neglectful. The baby has never stayed in a dirty diaper because either my mom or brother changes it but never the mother |

Question: I live in an abusive household, and I don't know what to do. Any advice? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 02:13 PM PDT Im 19, & have two abusive parents, and hateful grandmother. It's been this way for years, but I just can't take it anymore. Everyone of them is a narcisstic parent, they always try to emotionally hurt me, and do it for the ascension of their own egos. When I seem hurt they laugh and it makes them feel good. My mother and grandmother are both pathological liars, and while my narcisstic mother is the worst in the household, currently my grandmother is acting out badly. She is jealous of me, and is always finding ways she can try to hurt me. Earlier this week she lied to my mom, and made up the stupidest reason to criticize me, hoping my mother would be mad and start to scold me. Then yesterday she lied to my brother about me. The past few weeks, when I have looked down or sad, she looks at me and laughs. I know when I leave the house later, she is gonna tell everyone a whole bunch of lies, and I'm worried that she'll make up something that will make my mom behave abusively towards me. I don't know what to do. I've been trying to make money online to move out and live on my own, but it's been difficult, and I need a way to cope with these bullies until I can escape. The way they treat me makes me want to cry. They have so much hate towards for reasons I don't even know. Several times for the past the years I've been suicidal partially because of them. I get bullied outside of the house, in college, at work, and the last thing I need is to be bullied and abused by my parents. |
Question: Why does my mum act like she hates me? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 01:59 PM PDT I'm 21 and my mum has never told me she loves me and I can't even remember the last time she hugged me. She's OCD and looks after all her things but doesn't care about my stuff. For example I left my makeup bag in the living room and before I had chance to move it she had got hold of it and chucked it on my bedroom floor, shouting at me to not leave things in the living room. When I'm down I keep everything to myself because I feel like I can't talk to her. She'd probably just tell me to stop being so sensitive and toughen up. I know she loves me I just don't understand why she's the way she is. Why can't she show affection? She's constantly miserable and moans at me when I've done nothing wrong. I can't wait to move out but it's going to be at least another couple of years. Does anyone have any advice? |

Question: Why is my mom crazy over alcohol? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 01:46 PM PDT My mom had this bottle of wine, and she was having trouble opening it. So she started biting at the cork, but that just made it worse. So she took a hammer and started hammering at the top of the bottle and got her hand cut and it bled. I told her that she should be careful and she yelled at me! And then she drank the entire bottle. And whenever she drinks alcohol she always makes sure she drinks it in front of me. I'm 14 by the way. |
Question: My alcoholic brother is trying to make amends. How do I know if it's safe to trust him? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 01:39 PM PDT my brother was an alcoholic since he was 14. as his big brother, I tried to provide him with the guidance our parents could not give him (my father was a big time drunk and my mother was constantly abused). over the years, I bailed him out, paid his debts and spent money I didn't have so he could get help, and he disappointed me time after time, stole from me, punched me and did a bunch of unspeakable things. after I became a father, I cut all ties because I didn't want him to be around my two daughters. last week he called me and asked to meet me without my family. he's now 23 (I'm 32) and he says he's trying to stay sober and wants to regain my trust and have me in his life. I'm pretty much the only family he has left (our mother past away years ago and we're estranged from our father). he say he's on AA and working and trying to get a degree. he asked me for forgiveness and asked me to consider having him as a brother and a uncle to his nieces. Sounds good, but I just know if I'm ready. Now I have to think about my family and I don't want my girls becoming attached to an uncle who might slip back into old habits. But I still want to protect my brother and help him after everything. What should I do? |

Question: Should I just let this go? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 11:21 AM PDT A few weeks ago, my roommate got seriously angry with me when the plumbing in the bathroom became seriously clogged with what turned out to be my hair. He sent me an explosive text message outlining all of my habits that he was sick of and telling me that I either shape up or get the hell out. I responded with an apology and offered to pay for the plumber. However, while I was work, he continued sending texts of other things that was aggravating him. I kept apologizing and promising to change, but he then responded with, "You really need to do something about your mental problem, because it just seems like everywhere you go, you just get on people's nerves and nobody can stand you!" Being that I actually do suffer with a psychiatric disorder that has been plaguing me since childhood and has had costed me jobs and relationships, that really upset me so much that I ended up spending a week in a hostel--and decided I was moving out. I've been back about a week now, and I try to avoid him as much as I can by leaving very early in the day and coming home late at night. If I do run into him and he says hello, I just nod or kinda grunt. This morning, he sent me an interesting text stating he's learned his 8 year old son possibly could have cancer, and that he hasn't been himself..and he said "Let's try to keep a good relationship." Honestly, I just want to leave after what he said about me (had me breaking down in tears at work!). Should I, or should I try to be friends? (And yes I do see mental health professionals--it doesn't mean that I become 100% normal, but I can at least socially cope) |
Question: I have diarrhea, but my mom won't believe me? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 10:43 AM PDT She says I have to go to golf practice. I keep having to go to the bathroom. She's letting me stay home, but she keeps yelling at me saying it's my fault cause I eat junk food. She's saying things like "oh you're a big baby." Or "you could have played through it!" Why is she acting like this? Do all parents do this? |
Question: Have I been doing something wrong all these years? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 10:22 AM PDT When I was 7 years old lighting hit a tree next to my house and it fell in my bedroom. It took the fire department 2 hours to get me out from under that tree branch. I spent several days in the hospital recovering from my wounds. Ever since then I have been terrified of lighting and thunder. When I heard thunder, I would go to my much older brother's bedroom and crawl in bed with him where I felt safe and secure. When the thunder stopped, I would go back to my own bed. My brother told me that since I am now developed (what ever that means) I can not get in bed with him anymore. He says we could get in trouble if I got in bed with him now. He will set up a cot in his bedroom that I can use when I want to from now on. I will do as he wishes as he is the greatest brother any girl could have. Please tell me that what I have been doing all these years was not wrong. The VERY LAST thing I want to do is cause my brother a problem. |
Question: Why is my mom an a**hole? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 10:00 AM PDT Why are parents such assholes? Today my mom asked me to take the garbage to the trash outside I was about too. Then she got mad and was like I see your attitude. And I didn t have one. I think my mom is mentally unstable. She s been like this for years now. |
Question: Junior Cotillion classes? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 09:53 AM PDT I recently signed my brother up for junior cotillion classes and I'm a little unhappy with how infrequent the classes are. It's $400 for an hour and a half class once a month for 5 months. No one in my family has ever done Cotillion so I don't know if we're looking in the wrong places, but I would like classes that meet at least once a week for at least a semester. we live in the north dallas area |
Question: How can I get through the effects of an overly-critical family? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 09:51 AM PDT I m autistic and ever since I was diagnosed, my family has been super critical of what I do. To them it s because they want me to thrive in the world, at least that s what they say, but my dad has pointed out how much of a toll it s taken on me. I have very little self-esteem, depression, anxiety, I apologize too much. My dad s been working to be more encouraging of me, but my twin sister acts like a second mom (and not always in a good way) and my mom is so critical of me. She also has a sign that says "Autismom" (she s not autistic), she belittles my sensory overload, says I m BS-ing when I have anxiety attacks. I m kind of scared of her and I feel like whether or not this is intentional, it s emotionally abusive. Help! |
Question: Help!! Only answer if your good at giving advice!!? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 09:49 AM PDT My dad tried to rape me and when he makes me coco pops in the morning I just feel so awkeward like seriously not to mention he didn t have a big package either I can t even look at him anymore! |
Question: I broke my mother's golden necklace...? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 09:45 AM PDT Earlier today, I was playing video games and my mom disturbed me. I got way too mad and went up to her, and pulled on her necklace until it snapped. The necklace I snapped was extremely important because she got it when I was born, it has the first letter of my name of it and it represents the bond between me and her. I don't have a job or anything (I'm pretty young) to help me repair it...plus, it's irreparable. I can't replace it (no income) , so I feel terrible. My mother is extremely depressed. Help. I don't know how I can have her forgive me.. |

Question: How do I get freedom? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 08:52 AM PDT So I'm twelve and I'm going in seventh grade. I'm a teen so its a big part. That makes me an adult. I'm only allowed to go places if my sis takes me or my friends or my or their parents. I can't even go to friends house or my boyfriend house without adult supervision like what?! Were adults. 18 is like 5 years away so were practically 18 . and if we learn algebera and high school courses I think I can be on my own. I get in trouble for driving my moms car down the block but my 17 yo sis can go on highway with it and make out with her bf but I cant?! |
Question: My step mom is verbally abusing me and I want to move out but I'm 17? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 08:48 AM PDT I turn 18 in 4 months, but the issue is my dad is in another country working, so he left me with her but EVERYDAY has been hell. I have a place to go, my sister is 23 but I just want to know can my step mom bring me back if she called the cops? Does she have any legal rights because I read somewhere she would need to adopt me in order to get custody rights |
Question: Is moving to the US a bad idea ? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 08:46 AM PDT My boyfriend has a really high paying job and just got offered a CEO position in his company. He was originally supposed to move to me, (in Canada) but now that he got that offered, he wants me to move instead because we'll have "better lives" I don't care about how much he makes but to him it's important. I hate the US. Theres always so much crime. People are always shooting each other and shooting in public places causing many casualties. It's just so unsafe in my opinion. Where I live, there's barely 7 homicides a year, in my city. There's no way I can change his mind on this one. I just hate how unsafe it is and don't get me started on their idiotic president who's about to start world war 3. I just don't know. He doesn't consider any of us because he only cares about his job, the money and me being there with him. |
Question: I'm lost and I don't know what to do with my life? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 07:40 AM PDT Last year I got a business diploma and this year I took a gap year. I hated studying for this diploma so much that I needed a break. Business is really not my thing, but since I didn't know what to do 3 years ago either, my parents chose it for me because it's a useful diploma to have in Switzerland. But I really don't see myself working in that field, and now I'm back to square one. The only thing I'm kind of good at is writing (and languages), but my parents don't see it as a career. I thought about trying the contest to enter in the only writing school in Switzerland, but they only take like 15 candidates out of a hundred or something like that and even I don't think I stand a chance. It seems really elitist and I'm not about that. I also thought about studying creative writing in english universities, but I don't think I'm ready to study abroad and give up my life here just yet. And it's not even an option considering my parents don't even want me to study it here. I just don't know what else I can do. I had interest in working with animals, but it's not a common career in Switzerland and there's literally nothing for it. I'm just sick of being yelled at by my parents everyday because they think I don't want to do anything with my life. I'm just lost. |
Question: Why do parents want their children to get married so badly? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 06:19 AM PDT My mothers side is chill but my dads side... They think I already have to hurry cause Im 20 and never had a boyfriend. The thing is they dont even know I dont believe in marriage, never want children of my own and that Im not even into guys. They think I never had a boyfriend cause Im too shy and/or picky but I like girls. Just dont have the guts to tell them. Why is family like this IM ONLY 20. I have time |
Question: Who should get the money? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 06:17 AM PDT I entered a guessing contest at a dealership. I filled out 1 slip for me and my guess and to double the odds 1 using my brothers info and my 2nd guess. Needless to say my brother s ticket won and now he is trying to keep all the winnings. |
Question: How do I stop my parents from fighting? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 06:10 AM PDT A few hours ago, they had a really big fight and it was so loud that I was getting worried. It's not like this is the only time, they fight so much. Everyday my dad will come home and he'll eat dinner with us. Then he says something and my mom says something, whatever they say it always ends up with them yelling at each other. It makes me so sad too, cause it's usually about work and money. My mom supports him with everything, and he always just brings her down saying that she's failing at her job and that she needs to come work at the store for him. How can I get them to stop? |

Posted: 17 Aug 2017 04:34 AM PDT I recently found out I have a half brother from my Dad, but his memory isn t that great anymore and he cannot remember the name of my brother, nor the name of my brothers mother. They were very young and her parents didn t want my Dad to have anything to do with the baby so he doesn t know anything about him either! All I know is they met at Chickamaugua dam between 1971 and 1973 while on a school field trip. Is there any way I could find him? |
Posted: 17 Aug 2017 04:17 AM PDT My sister and I have a joint account, she also lives with me for the 1st few months she paid no bills. After that for about 17 months she in total for those 17 months gave me 8,000 toward monthly expenses House 565.00 car 261.00 car insurance 163.00 gas weeky 50.00 wifi 50.00. Around 470.00 a month. She has a dog she moved in which she never buys food for and forget s to take out all the time she also never does dishes nor cleans bathroom or finishes her laundry she starts it but hardly remembers to put it in dryer or away. She cooks dinner but never cleans the mess. After the 17 months she lost her job and hardly looked for another she always borrowed money but paid everyone else back instead of me. She took out 3 credit cards after i told her not to cuz she ran right threw the $2000. With no job to pay back. She was sent some money to our account and I withdrew it right away to pay back the money she owed me and for living rent free for the last 2 years. I told her she would waste the money n we needed it for bills none the less 2 months later she got 2 grand more and in less then 2 months its gone with nothing to show no pay back on credit cards no car so she could stop borrowing mine just wasted on clothes shoes jewelry food and alcohol she did give me $200.00. Now we argue all the time i stole her money and she wants back but wont move out. She a moocher and wont admit it she owed me the money |
Question: What is YOUR definition of someone saying to you that "You're BLESSED"!? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 03:28 AM PDT My second question: Why would a Mother compare herself to her friends about being pregnant still? Why is she so impatient before 40 weeks? Also, I am a soon to be Father. My girlfriend and her girl friends tell me that they love(d) the feeling of being pregnant when I ve asked, They ve said that they have never felt tired of having a baby move around and kick inside you as it grows in the womb. So with such love and excitement, how can some or even any Mother-To-Be feel emotionally overwhelmed or exhausted? I just want to know! |

Question: What was your best new year ? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 02:50 AM PDT For me , That was the last year when I was 12 years old . I did not have many presents because my parents were in a financial struggle at that time but its okay . im grateful with what i have . plus , I've got to enjoy my favourite present : a good dinner with the family . we had chicken pot pie and it was great . I got to see my family which i usually cant because my dad is a busy plastic surgeon and he works until 9PM . My mom usually has to go to a meeting because she is a psychiatrist and a peace activist so i dont get to see her that much . so that was the greatest new year I've ever had . This new year will be alot better because my cousin is moving in . |
Question: I'm worried that my aunt never washes her hands? Am I overreacting? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 02:48 AM PDT Ok so I'm on vacation with my aunt and uncle I hear my aunt in the bathroom but I never hear the water sink running while the toilet is flushing. one time I was at her house and she was cleaning the cat's litter box and goes upstairs washing a cucumber but I don't know if she washed her hands before touching the cucumber. and on vacation she washes my clothes and the other family's clothes and im worried she uses dirty hands for it. please help? I'm starting to think she never washes them. |
Question: Am I expecting a lot? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 02:45 AM PDT I'm a 20 year old male. I've had a car accident when I was 16 and I became paralysed. I can only move my features (not even my neck) and my right hand (only from the wrist). Right now I'm hardly typing this post and I mostly use auto correction while typing. There's a nurse who takes care of me for 24 hourse a day. She's a nice woman. My father's dead and my mother is at work for hours. I'm mostly alone with my nurse. I have a younger brother who is 16. I sometimes I ask him to stay with me and talk to me, because I get bored in my room and my nurse doesn't have much to talk with me, because she's always with me and she rarely goes out (sometimes for shopping or taking me to the park) and she's 50 years old, so she can't think like a young person. But my brother told me that he has more important things to do and he doesn't have time for small chat. That really breaks my heart. I've told my mom to talk to him and convince him to talk to a little bit or at least watch movie with me, but she told me that my brother is right and he's really busy, because he has a part time job and he goes to summer school. I feel very alone. I have no friends. |
Question: Will taking away privileges help punish kids when they are bad? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 02:19 AM PDT My sister needs ways to punish her kids they do not listen, they even spit on her. I suggested she take things away so they will behave. Just little things like no tv, no video games or no junk food. |

Question: I don’t see my dad as my ‘dad’? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 01:24 AM PDT Is this weird? Like I can't call him dad because I just don't feel like he is. He's done so much for me but I just don't feel it. He's commented on this before and I couldn't tell him it's because I don't think of him as my dad. Idk how to explain it, I don't have a good relationship with either of my parents but ours is worse than me and my moms. I just don't consider him as a father figure, and I don't know why. Is this bad? |
Question: I feel like a big disappointment to my parents.? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 12:56 AM PDT So I m the only child and I m a 16 y/o girl. I m not very good at studying and all I ever think about if having fun and going out with my friends. My parents are in a very huge financial crisis and they want me to do something with my life to be a better person, I really respect them and I m trying my best to help them out but they don t know that. They think all I want is freedom and that I don t care about them. So recently my mom caught me smoking a cigarette in my room and she was really mad and decided to call my dad and tell him about it and she told him to come home so they can discuss about something I did. And I just don t want him to know cuz he s already in a lot of stress from his own problems. My mom kept telling me how much of a disappointment Iam to this family and how they gave me so much freedom and I took advantage of it and how other children are way successful and better than Iam. All I could think of is killing my self. I don t know what to do. I feel so useless, I don t have anyone to cry too or just someone who understand me. |
Question: My little sister, is there something wrong with her? Or is she just spoiled.? Posted: 17 Aug 2017 12:17 AM PDT My little sister is 7 and she is reckless, she always has been ever since she was a toddler. She hits my mom and i, she spends excessively on clothing, she acts like a teenager, and she watches crappy spoiled kids opening toys on youtube. She swears at my mom and i, refuses to do homework, does nothing but watches on her iphone 6 plus (its unbelievable, she's 7 and she has an iphone, that too a really nice one), she hits and scratches me, and she says she will kill us whenever she gets one of her anger fits. Im not sure if this is the result of her being pampered by my parents (i.e when she's angry, my dad bribes her with toys), or if its because she feels neglected in some ways (ever since our grandfather passed away she has been more irritable). I just feel sad myself seeing her this way, she's not gonna grow up into a good person if this continues. Im not sure what to do? I reccomended changing her school since it will pull her out of her comfort zone and place her in a situation where she will have to work hard for something, perhaps she can understand the value of hard work then, and perhaps we can fix her attitude. Im no parent, im just a kid myself, but my parents aren't helping in any way, so perhaps as a big sister, i could do something. So if any moms or dads have had the same issue with their kids, could you please suggest me some way to perhaps help her or fix her attitude? It will be much appreciated. Perhaps i should elaborate a little more. My sister is a devil at times, but she has sometimes cried out of frustration and claimed that no one plays with her enough, and i kinda feel bad for her. Its like she knows what she is doing is bad, but perhaps she is trying to gain attention? I don't blame her, my parents have often tried to buy me out when im sad or stressed. Its like they just dont want to deal with us. Is there anything I can do? As a sister? I dont want her to hate herself later on |

Question: Should I be worried? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 11:49 PM PDT My son is 20 years old. He has a white, soft skin, think and red lips, greem eyes and long eyelashes, nice nose and white teeth. He's shorter than the other males (and some females) and he's skinny. He behaves gently and he's really emotional. He can't hurts even a little ant. He's a vegetarian, become his heart hurts when he sees animals, getting killed. Everyone says that he's "beautiful", but no one says thay he's "handsome". Should I be worried that other people might misunderstand him with a homosexual? Thick and red lips* He can't hurt* Green eyes* |
Question: Funeral for my cousin's father? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 10:59 PM PDT Ok here is the situation: About a year ago, my cousin married a girl. I'll call her Suzie. Suzie's father just passed away a couple days ago, and the funeral is going to be on Friday. My parents are going to the funeral, but I didn't think it was appropriate to go to a person's funeral who I didn't know and wasn't even blood related to. But, my parents thought it would be good for me to support my cousins in their time of need. What do you think is appropriate? |

Question: Why don't some people know that overprotection is harmful as well? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 10:37 PM PDT It's a parent's job to protect their child, but being overly protective has negative affects. If a child comes on here and describes details where it clearly shows that their parents are overprotective to the EXTREME, some people don't take it seriously. In fact some people say, "lucky you!" Instead. If a 13 year old complains he can't stay up past 10pm, it's probably typical for someone his age to want to grow up too fast and i wouldn't worry. If it's something extreme, we should care. If a parent is that overwhelming then they may need a parenting class or therapy. CPS can get involved as well, if the parents are damaging the child's emotional wellbeing and relationships with other people. Yes, they also care about kids' emotional welfare and there's such thing as emotional abuse/neglect. I've met kids can never form long-term friendships because of their parents. They're also emotionally unstable, and might try asking for help. |
Posted: 16 Aug 2017 10:32 PM PDT I'm an 18 year old female. I had a fight with my father yesterday. Before the fight, he took me next to the beach. I swam a little bit and got wet. When we were in the car, the windows were open. I asked him to close the windows, because I was cold, but suddenly he started shouting and yelling at me. He said:"you think that you're wiser than anyone but you're not! You're selfish! I'm not cold and you expect me to stand this hot day only for you! You're not a normal person that you're cold in summer time!". I also shouted. I had a terrible headache during the fight. I yelled and I asked him to stop the car somewhere, but he said that he won't do that! I almost begged him to stop the car, so he did. When, I returned home, I told my mom everything and she said that it was my fault. I became angry and told her:"It's always my fault!". She said:" I was happy that you were with your father, because I was very relaxed without you!". |
Posted: 16 Aug 2017 10:17 PM PDT My son is 20. In my country, you're allowed to drink alcohol when you turn 16, but my son has never drunk alcohol. He hates drinking. I've never stopped him drinking, but he doesn't show any interests about alcohol. He never goes to parties or clubs. He hates football! He doesn't like to watch TV at all. He doesn't want to do any kind of sports that the others in his age do. He wears old school clothes. When, he hears a rude word, he asks me the meaning of it. I'm proud to have a polite son, but it's surprising that he doesn't know the meaning of rude words! I've always tried to make him a social person, but he has only 2 friends. He doesn't hang out with them and the only thing that he talks about with them is his lessons. He spends his time reading books, fishing alone next to the river, collecting insects, listening to music and studying. He rarely surfs on the net. He's taciturn. He's shorter than the other males in his age and he's really skinny, because he hardly eats. With all these, everyone says that he's sweet and he has a beautiful face. ""Beautiful" is not a suitable word for a male... No one says that he's handsome, but many people say that he's beautiful... I'm sure that he's not a gay, because he never goes outside without me. Even, when he wants to fish alone, I take him next to the river and I wait in the car for him to come back. I never wanted to be a protective mom, but this is what he asks me to be. How can I make him a happy and social person? |

Question: What's wrong with my mum? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 09:52 PM PDT She's always been really hot headed, and when she gets mad she shouts, screams, says really really horrible things about me and my dad, and gives me the silent treatment for days. I felt really neglected when I was little because sometimes she wouldn't talk to me for a week. Sometimes she's really nice and caring, and makes me food but then she suddenly explodes again. She's really nice to my baby brother, it's just me and my dad. I just want a normal happy family. Am I a bad daughter for thinking there's something wrong with her? |

She said:" I was happy that you were with your father, because I was very relaxed without you!". No one understands me. My parents are divorced and they live separately. I love my mom and I always wanted to buy a house and take her with me, so she wouldn't get annoyed by my father (my father has a bad temper and we see him almost every week). But as you see, my mom hates living with me. No one understands me. I think if I die, everyone will become happy. I'm studying for the university entry exams. I'll be at university next year. I also make my own money. I work in a kindergarten. |

Posted: 16 Aug 2017 09:39 PM PDT Me and my sister got into a tough fight. I don t really remember what started it-- probably my fault. But she threatened to punch me in the face and pull my bun.. and I m stubborn. I laughed in her face and dared her. She threw the first punch- but not before I yanked my fingers into her hair and pulled down. Anyways Nobody really won, but I told her I hated her at least twice. It s been a few minutes and I ve calmed down, but it s still really awkward and anxious. I don t actually hate her and I feel guilty about it. I just don t know how to apologize. |

Question: Not allowed to show emotions? Posted: 16 Aug 2017 08:58 PM PDT In my family I m not allowed to show any emotions except happiness and greatfulness. If I m ever mad or sad about something it just makes my mom and dad mad because they feed off my emotions. If I ever tell my parent I don t like something or I feel unappreciated, because they tell me I can never do anything right, they just call me ungrateful. (I m 16 y/o) I ve been struggling with bulimia for a couple years now and can t show any emotions so it is hard. I can t tell anyone in my family because they will just get mad. I m trying to be perfect and hold my family together but it is just to hard sometimes:( |
