My birthday is coming up and its the same story every yr, except for my twin sister my other siblings will only call me on that day, and then i dont hear from them unless its their birthday or mine, I have tried to contact them in between by emailing or whatever and im lucky if they respond, I have nieces that are teenagers and i feel like theyre strangers, if i try to facebook them or email them its like talking to the walls, they dont live in the same state. same with my brothers, its like talking to the wall too if i contact them in between birthdays, so every yr they call me on my birthday and it makes me feel like theyre doing it out of obligation, not cause they really want to talk to me. I have even told one of my brothers that i wish he would call on other days as well and not wait a yr to call, he said he would but didnt, i have a half sister that calls my twin all the time but wont call me, and that includes birthdays, have no idea what i did, I have cousins that probably will just email me and not call, I heard my aunt and uncle are just going to email, all these relatives i only hear from them on the big day. Im getting tired of all this. I have taken off on my birthday before just to skip on those calls but then some call the next day so that defeats the purpose, I thought of putting my phone off line but then they'll probably email anyways which defeats that purpose, not sure what to do but im resenting the fact that thats the only time they will call.

For as long as i can remember, my mum hasnt really ever liked it and when ive confronted her on this she justified herself by saying, its because im too emotional and take things to heart very easily. Yeah i am more emotional then my mum but trying to get emotion from my mum is like trying to get blood from a stone. vertically an impossible task. Anyway, she has always made me feel like the unwanted child, my older brother is a saint to her and my younger sisters cant do wrong in her eyes, however when it comes to me im the one who the problem and i have no idea why? what did i do to her? I feel like im the worst thing to happen to her and that she would be a lot happier with me out of the family. Im 19 and about to start Uni, however she makes me feel like im 9 and treats me like it too. I always use to think that the older i got the more our relationship would improve when in face i feel like more of a waste of space to her. why doesnt she like me?

I'm a 16 year old girl and I have been dealing with stuttering for many years now. It's mostly my parents who make fun of me all the time, my brother also used to do it but he hasn't done it in a long time. Whenever I stutter when I try to say something they would mimic my voice and start laughing. Sometimes they also try to make me say words which are difficult to pronounce for me just to make fun of me. I really can't help it, it just happens especially when I'm nervous... And I'm always nervous around my parents because I'm afraid they will mock me for stuttering so it's pretty much impossible to talk to them without stuttering. Nowadays I rarely talk to them and mostly hide in my room all day when I'm at home but sometimes I just can't avoid talking to them. When my parents do that to me I always pretend it doesn't bother me and say nothing but as soon as I'm alone in my room I just start crying because actually it hurts me so much :( In the past I asked them several times to stop doing that but they just said it's meant in a funny way and that I'm too sensitive. Well to me it's not funny at all and I don't know what I should do... I also don't know anyone I could trust and who would listen to my problems. Sorry for any mistakes, I'm not a native English speaker.

So my bf became homeless a few months ago due to his house burning down and losing everything he ever had. I at the time of the fire had my own space so he stayed with me for a while. I ended up needing to move and now I'm back at home with my parents. He became displaced & is staying in basically a abandoned house no lights or water. We are living about 40 min away from each other & I help him out as much as I can but I don't have that much money myself. He didn't have a job but was trying and going to countless interviews only to b turned down by his background. Back in January he got arrested due to getting into a stupid verbal argument and they charged him with felony terrostic threats ruining a clean background. Served no time only probation. This past Friday he got a job to start Monday. The problem is that he has no car. I usually let him barrow my car or take him where he needs to go but he has to be to work at 5am. I just started last week at a new job & I'm working 10:30p-7a and our jobs are about 15 miles away from each other. I have to constantly remind him that things will turn around and comfort him. He talks about how life's just getting to hard and he can't seem to get a break. He goes hungry sometimes & I remind him that he just gotta keep pushing until we can find somewhere to live. The only difference with me is that I have family and he doesn't. Staying with my family isn't a option because we aren't married. It's also becoming harder to keep traveling.

So in my friend group, one of us has gone off into the Army, and family day is coming up, where you re allowed to visit them. It s kind of a big deal since we haven t seen him in a couple of months. So I would be beginning the trip from Florida and going to Georgia, with my best friends who are all 18 and older, and I m 17, and even the soldier s mom is coming along (we don t do drugs or drink). My parents dont think it s that big of a deal and don t want me to go. They re the overprotective type and they are always first to say no, and I m trying to rationalize why I should go. From a parent s perspective, what do you guys think? Anything I could say?

My mom has had fights with me as long fat back as I can remember. The youngest I remeber was when I was 4 she got mad because I made my little pet shops kiss and she threw me on my bed and called me a idiot and a horrible child. My dad got mad at me the other day after I got mad at his girlfriend. His girlfriend is always trying to be up in my business, trying to discipline me and stuff, even though she's not my mom or anything like that. Like, sometimes if she's around and my dad gets mad at me, she tries to butt in and say that she thinks my dad should ground me for longer or something, and my dad always listens to her, so she just makes everything worse! I wish she'd just shut up and leave parenting to my dad, who's my actual parent. So, the other day, I gave her a gluestick, and told her that she should wear it as lipstick, so that she'd finally keep her mouth shut. I admit, it was kind of sassy and inappropriate, but you gotta admit it's pretty funny. My brother couldn't stop laughing. But, of course, she got mad and told my dad about it, and he was pretty mad, too. Now, he wants me to write an apology note to her, which I think is pretty stupid. He already made me say sorry to her face, what good is a note going to do? Isn't this stupid? What's the point? Should I have to do this?

I've found that over the years, my mom who I used to fawn all over is now someone who I find irritable and hate. Every time she tells me to do something, I've always done it without complaining. Even though there are times when I don't feel like doing it or is moody, I've always tolerate it and don't vent out on what I'm supposed to be doing like my siblings. I don't know why I've been really wearing out lately and just want to run away and wishing I was already an independent grown adult. I hate her every single nag, telling me and repeating to me what she already told me to do even when I'm doing what she asked. I hate every time she asks me to do something. I hate how she calls me a dog and animal if I delay doing what she asks or when she feels like it. I hate her when I can't help her with something and she says that I'm stupid and that it's a waste to send me to school. I hate her telling me that if I wasn't her child, she wouldn't care about me and that no one else would take me in or care for me if I was someone else's child. I hate how even after all her insults, she still tells me to do things for her. I feel like the only person I feel close to and likes to spend time with is my friend. I hate my mom, she's supposed to be my mom but she hardly knows anything about me, not even my birthday, nor I with her. She doesn't feel like my mom, she feels just feels like a person I've lived with all my life.

I am a high school guy with a step mom who is just 6 years older than I am. Dad married a much younger woman. I really like my step mom. I think she is the greatest. To say she is beautiful is an understatement. She is gorgeous. I guess dad likes beautiful women. When my buddies come to hang out with me they always tell me how beautiful, hot, and sexy my mom is. My dad has been talking to other women on dating apps. My mom and siblings all know. Turns put he s been doing it for a while. I m going through a denial stage, where I m trying to pretend that its not really true. I need to find a way to get over that. My mom thinks she may want a divorce. But shes trying to refrain from doing so as I have a 12 year old sister. My mom is heartbroken, and so am I. But I still live him. And if they got a divorce my mother would get custody of all the children. I don t want my dad to be alone, we wouldn t be able to see him at all. He will be 14 in September and the school always invites him to the team because of his contexture. He is kinda lazy and doesn't really want to try out, he never said it was because its dangerous or anything, hes just lazy. My psrents think I will be a good thing to have in his resume and he doesnt do any other sports anymore so itll be good for him. I think he should a least try it out too. The only person who doesnt want him (other than himself) to join the team is our grandfather because of concussions and other dangerous things, but that isn't something you get only playing football, everything is a bit dangerous. Now, I ask this because my dad was exactly like my brother. He was lazy and disnt want to join any sports team when he was younger and now he regrets it. I dont want my brother to regret it.

my family has always been really vicious and just bad. since we were young, my sisters and i would constantly make fun of each other to hurt each other. when we would get into fights, we would all bring up thins that hurt each other the most. i don't let get words get to me thankfully, so this never bothered me. after years of me calling my younger sister fat even though she wasn't, it finally hit her. my sister is 11 years old, and is now anorexic because of me. my depression is back and now i want to kill myself. i didn't want this to happen. she went from 110 pounds to 95 in a couple of weeks. i hate myself now. how can i fix this? i didn't want this to happen.

Edit For example her son has emotional problems and so her mother, my aunt, makes it all about herself instead of the son. My own sister (also kind of narcissistic) didn't at the aunt on Facebook and so my aunt's B-Day post on my Mom's Facebook page was "Tell Katie a Happy Birthday, I would but she won't let me on her Facebook". This aunt has always slowly gotten worse and worse like this in my 26 years of life. Now no one in the family likes her. She praises one daughter while ignoring the other and bullying the son behind his back. Her son has serious emotional problems and so he lives with his Dad which makes my aunt resent the hell out of him. She (my aunt) is twice divorced. My grandparents are good people and there was no abuse. My grandfather is deceased but my grandmother is still alive. This aunt complains she doesn't know her brother's family or get to see them much, yet she is opting to skip the wedding of his daughter in two weeks. This aunt complains she isn't in the family Facebook pictures we post, yet she opts to skip every holiday like Christmas she is asked to. Besides her two divorces I can't think of any trauma for her. The second divorce was entirely my aunts doing based on what we see though I know behind closed doors we never know. Her first husband she was not completely at fault as he cheated on her. He is the father of the two daughters and he is now estranged from them. The son is close to his Dad, her 2nd husband. So any thoughts on this?

So a couple weeks ago my cousin stayed at my house for a few days. We were swimming in the pool and I noted white specks all over her hair. I'm terrified of lice so I immediately took and showed my mom, later that night my mom took her downstairs and nit combed through her hair. She found a lot. Like so much she might've had these for months. She dead lice literally fell out of her hair. We didn't tell her though because we didn't want to make her feel bad. So we waited until the next day when she was getting picked up by another one of her aunts, we told her that she has lice. She looked into her hair and since we had just nitcombed everything out last night, nothing was there. I bet she told her parents we thought she has lice but her parents aren't the most interested in their kid so they would've done nothing. I m pregnant by my bf and we re both excited about it, and we re moving to a better state together in a few months but there s one big problem. I stay at my moms house and sleep on a sofa because she only has one bedroom. My bf has a home but his sister and her gf live there. His sister is loud, annoying, nosey, and very overbearing. She bursts in his room while I m there and interrupts us even if I m talking to him. She s crazy & rude. She s bitter because me and him are moving away together in a few more months. i'm 23 and I hate her. She's alcoholic and everything is a joke for her. For example if i tell her about some terror act, she would just look at me, laugh a little and say nothing. then go back to watching TV and smiling. She always sit home, drink and watch TV. She is never rude, but obviously she doesn't care about me or love me. Only thing that keep me close to her is her money, which she has a lot. I'm still in college and i can't support myself. Not my parents, they let me do everything I want as long as it's not bad but my FOUR uncles, two older guy cousins and three older brothers are so overprotective ugh! I was going out IN THE DAY TIME wearing a tank top and shorts and my brothers were like no go change. AND ACCORDING TO THEM, IM NOT ALLOWED TO DATE UNTIL IM 94 AND A HALF UGH!

My dad is homeless because he was messed up on drugs and alcohol his whole life. I see him on the streets holding a sign and I jus try not to look at him. Yes, I ignore. And it obviously hurts to see him homeless but I can't help him. He is on drugs/alcohol and he is abusive. I remember him holding me against a wall by my neck when I was little and screaming in my face. I also remember him slamming my cat against the wall and my cat ran away and I'm pretty sure it probably died. So yeah I'm not just lying about him being mean. The last time I let him stay at my place he kept asking me for rides and I'm pretty sure he was on drugs because he was out of his mind! So I told him he couldn't stay with me anymore and he is continuing to be homeless and I honestly don't feel anything for him. Is that bad

So for the past several days my sister has been provoking fights out of no where with me and afterwards, I get blamed and yelled at by my parents for it. She's deliberately antagonizing me on purpose. She would say she didn't start anything and that she never did anything wrong and that I provoked the whole thing and i get screamed and yelled at by my parents! I guarantee she would walk past me for no reason and utter a curse word, i would hear it, if i say anything back, i get yelled at and then she gets away with it. My parents would ask her what happened and she would say 'i didn't do anything, she's lying and hearing things' . WTF, she cusses me out loud enough for me to hear! What do I do? she would do this very often, i literally do not even speak to her and i try to ignore her at all costs. But she would ALWAYS start fights with me all the time and my parents would always take her side! For the love of God, help and please offer some helpful advice on how to stop this situation? She IS doing this on purpose, she's HORRIBLE PERSON and sibling. She tries to hurt people and has several times in the past. But i agree that humans will lie when being accused, they would hardly ever admit they're wrong even when they know they are.

My dad's girlfriend is super annoying and constantly trying to get me in trouble with my dad. Like, she saw me wearing a skirt that my dad told me not to wear, and she told him about it! And then, she ratted on me for having make up in my backpack after my dad told me not to wear make up to school. She literally makes it impossible to do anything, because she's constantly opening her big mouth to tell my dad everything. I got so pissed today and gave her a glue stick and told her that I thought she could wear it like lipstick (my brother thought it was hilarious). But, of course, she didn't take my advice and told my dad about it instead, and he got realllllly mad. He screamed at both me and my brother for laughing about it, and then he grounded me for a month, saying that I need to learn how to respect my elders. I wouldn't have minded just the grounding, but he's also making me write an apology letter to his girlfriend (which I think is ridiculous, she should be apologizing to me for getting me grounded), and he said that he wants me to spend more time with her, too, which I think sounds like absolute torture, because I hate her so much! Isn't my dad overreacting, and is this punishment fair at all?

Lately I noticed my son has been staring at my feet a lot. Ecspecially since I've gotten a pedicure. Whenever I'm barefoot in the house or driving barefoot or have my feet propped up on the couch I notice him peeking. Just a few days ago we were going to the park to have a picnic and he said I didn't need to bring shoes (although he was right and I didn't) I'm not against any type of fetish but it's not ok to be turned on by family members ecspecially parents. Today, my uncle got married. His wife made a speech which made everyone go "awwww" but one part in particular made me sick. She said they knew each other since they were very young (they met at my house, I was about 4 or 5 at the time). She then proceeded to say that when they met, he promised to marry her one day. She was 13, he was 24. Am I the only one that finds that wrong? Not only that, but I have vague memories of him which makes me wonder if that's why I'm the person I am today. Up until the age of 3, I was such a happy kid, always loved people's attention, very talkative etc. Then my parents said I changed drastically when I turned 3 to being shy and quiet. I can remember him and his friend babysitting me when I was about 2, and that's one of the only memories I have of that age even though it's blur. I wonder why? I can remember I was in my room sleeping, I was like 6, and then I opened my eyes and he was laying beside me and just smiled. I didn't think anything of it, but now I look back and I'm really questioning things. I feel so bad having these thoughts because he's my uncle, in fact my favourite uncle who I love dearly but I can't help but feel a certain way. Since being diagnosed with social anxiety I've been trying to figure out what was so drastic that changed me as a person. Then hearing that speech today with that particular information totally rang a few bells. I'm probably exaggerating and I could be totally wrong. Am I? I hope I am.

Question: My mom grabs/pinches my boobs to be "funny" but doesn't stop when I tell her I don't like that?

She's been doing it for years, did it to my cousin but she didn't mind it. Occasionally my grandma will pinch my butt and I tell her it's not cool. Please help me! I don't know what to do. My mom eats about 1 Nutella tubs per day. I only buy them for treats and then I hide the tubs. SHE ALWAYS FINDS THEM! She eats a full packet of kit Kats. She smokes aswell. She eats every single chocolate in the house. She also eats a packet of cookies. My dad and me don't even buy them! MY MOM DOES! I don't know what to do anyone, I scream and yell at her for doing these things but she doesn't care and continues. Also the thing that really pisses me off about her is that she says to EVERYONE how healthy she is. She even goes into food stores and sayings "ew no that's so fattening" OUT LOUD SO EVERYONE CAN HEAR!! But at home SHE IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND SHE IS LYING!! I don't know what to do anymore. Also I can't move out because I'm still way too young.
