okay so this one girl i'm friends with has this "best friend" and i'm like her second best friend and she puts this best friend of hers in front of everyone else. this wouldn't even be that bad if her bestfriend wasn't so mean to me and won't let me call her my bff or anything and thinks she should be treated higher then anybody else and is constantly calling me out. i don't know what to do i just wanna say idc anymore but i can't. like why do we have to put labels on everyone!!

I was keeping a Catholic friend s snapchat streaks and was told by my mom her parents had gotten calls of "inapropiate pictures" sent to her streaks. I live at the beach so I considered wearing a bathing suit to be normal so what I beleive happened was I sent pictures of a freind in a bathing suit that I considered appropriate; but others did not. I feel like one parent may have had the misconception that the bathing suit was underwear or something along those lines and contacted other parents whom all called my freind. I know that I am to blame for sending pictures, but I feel the content of these pictures is not worth the reaction that was received. Ok so I have this bestfriend he's really nerdy and I didn't like him in the first place. Ok so I was in 6th grade and we just said hi and bye and I didn't know him. I'm a 44 year old woman. My mother passed away recently and I am an only child. I have been extremely busy with the excessive estate paperwork, cleaning out her home (3 hours away and was going at least once a week-finally got it on the market), going through her belongings and storing them, selling them, etc. it is a lot of work! Ive known these people since I was about 4 years old and now I'm 19. We were next door neighbors for a long time. I have extremely fond memories of these people growing up, theyre kids were my best friends for many years and they're mom was practically my mom. They baby sat me pretty much every day until I turned 7 then when they moved away and couldnt babysit me we moved away and moved right next door to them again. I got old enough to where I didnt need a babysitter anymore but I was still over there everyday after school until dinner time, it was my second home. I could just walk in and join the conversation like I was there all along and no one said anything. During my teenage years I didn't go over as much and then eventually I just stopped going over there all together and literally never talked to them and rarely even saw them for 7 years. They recently moved houses and invited my family over to visit but I'm scared. I guess cause I kinda see myself as a disappointment or an embarrassment compared to them. I dropped out of highschool and Ive never had a job at 19 and theyre kids are all in college now or married with kids and I'm just over here being a degenerate honestly. Theyre gonna ask about me and what I've been doing and what can I say? All I can do is tell the truth but I dont want them to know the truth about me, I'm ashamed of myself. I still remembered she said this: "There's no way she's homeless! There's NO WAY an organization actually had THAT much money to give a person THAT much stuff. An organization needs to give everyone who is part of the program equal share. Besides, she lives in f*cking New York, you know how much everything here costs?!" To confirm Dana's suspicions, I think I may have done something evil. After school, I followed the girl and Dana was RIGHT! She practically lives in a two-story tall house! Growing up, I would befriend people who didn't have other friends just so they wouldn't feel lonely. In retrospect I think this was definitely a kind thing to do, but maybe not the smartest. One of the guys I befriended at around age 11 has stuck with me for 7 years and has idolized me like I'm Jesus. He was the smallest guy in the grade (even now, at 18, he's 5'1, about 100 pounds and looks like a kid) and so when I befriended this guy, he was over the moon, because I was one of the bigger, stronger kids. He'd follow me everywhere, wait outside every morning (in freaking 8 degree weather), and at one point, made a "best friend forever" award for me. He is definitely a good guy, and I was a pretty nice guy in befriending him, but I'm afraid that now, he's been basing all of his life choices and values after me. He can literally recall, ver badum, something completely random and unimportant that I said 7+ years ago as if my words are golden. I'm afraid that he's been looking up to me more than he has his own parents, his older brother, and so on. I fear that in befriending him, and in his idolization of me, that he's tried to become exactly like me instead of becoming his own man. He should make his own choices and define his own values, and he really shouldn't try to become an extension of me. I've considered breaking the news to him that he move on in life instead of sticking to me like a hemorrhoid. Should I tell him? Or should I keep him as a friend?

A very close friend of mine has just been put in jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. This is one of my closest friends in the world, and we talk everyday for years now. This person is a respected doctor in the community, so please understand this is a complete shock. I have never had a situation like this before, and i don't know what to say to him to console him right now. I don't want to push him for information, but if anyone has experience dealing with this sort of situation and knows how to help their friend through something like this, please let me know. I'm a 21 year old girl and I'm 5'1, and I'm really insecure about my height. In addition to being so short I also have a baby face so I'm constantly being mistaken for being a lot younger than I am. Even though I love sports I never make it onto any of my college's sports teams because the team captains assume that I'll be a bad player because of my height, I'm always asked for ID when I go to a bar or club whereas my friends get in straight away, half the time I have to buy my clothes from the kids' section, and people are always making jokes about my height to me. I pretend to find them funny but I don't, I find them offensive and they make me feel even more insecure. Some of my friends have suggested that I should just wear heels in order to look taller but I'm not girly at all so I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that. Do you have any advice on what I could do to feel less insecure about my height?
