Question: How do we get married at 15? Posted: 04 Sep 2015 10:21 AM PDT We've been dating for two months, are madly in love and are growing more and more in love with each passing day. Our parents said we can't get married because we are too young and need to focus on school. We've thought about having a baby so we can get married. What should we do? |
Posted: 04 Sep 2015 09:34 AM PDT I have 2 daughters that have both been asked to be in a wedding. One is a freshman and the other a junior in high school. We found out later that the night of the wedding is also the night of homecoming. The wedding starts at 1 with group pictures before and the reception is immediately after the bride and grooms pictures after the reception. I talked to the bride and told her if time permits, I would like the girls to be able to leave the reception and make it to their homecoming dance. I was told by the bride that I was being rude and hurtful and that the girls needed to decide if they wanted to go to the dance or be in the wedding. I just want to know if I am being inconsiderate with wanting my daughters to be able to attend both the wedding and the dance as long as the responsibilities of the job are done. |
Question: May the boyfriend of the MOB be listed on the wedding program? Posted: 04 Sep 2015 06:43 AM PDT We are in a four year committed relationship and engaged (although not formally). I'm also widowed so there is no father of the bride. I'd like to list him in the wedding party list after Mother of the bride. He's been a big support to my daughter and her fiancé. If I do, how would he be referred as? thanks |
Question: LONG TO SHORT WEDDING DRESS!!!? Posted: 04 Sep 2015 06:30 AM PDT I m getting married in 3 weeks and have been having this delema stirring for a while. I bought my wedding dress a few months ago. It s a chiffon over satin column dress. At the time of the purchase I was expecting to wear a completely different shorter dress for the reception. Now as the days count down, I am realizing that I don t have the time to buy a new dress. Now here comes my big question. Does anyone know of a way to shorten my wedding dress for the reception so I am able to dance? I can t bustle it without it just looking weird...I ve been thinking a temporary hem or something along those lines but I just don t know exactly how to go about doing it! I d either love the whole bottom shortened or maybe even just the front section so I m not stepping on it. Please help! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!!! |
Question: Should my girlfriend attend my brother's wedding? Posted: 04 Sep 2015 04:53 AM PDT I told my gf of 1.5year(we dont live 2gether), that it's not important if she doesnt come to the wedding. She totally agrees as she's only met the couple and my parents a few times. We dont hang out with them/attend family events.I'm a groomsman so she will be alone most of the time and she's not comfortable to sit/dance with people she barely knows.Plus it's her birthday, she's a twin and i want to let her enjoy her day.The couple says it's fine either way-they would sit her with my sister in law and then at the head table just so she's not alone but my gf's not at ease with all the relatives(bride's too) who she's not familiar with. It's not like we would dance 2gether at the party as it's not really my type of fun either. I think we are thinking ok, what do you guys think? |
Question: Purchasing an engagement ring? Posted: 04 Sep 2015 03:33 AM PDT My fiancee told me that all her fingers have a diameter of 1.9 cm, while mine have 2.1 cm each. What size of ring is best? I wanted to purchase with assurance so as to avoid embarrassment of the ring not fitting or being too large. What ring size is best for both of us? |
Posted: 03 Sep 2015 02:07 PM PDT As many of you know my relationship with my 20 year old step son is not the best. He doesn't live with us because he refused to follow house rules and he had to go. My wife thinks I'm too hard on him so anytime I bring up his name it usually ends in an argument. Well, tell me how I address this with her. My 19 year old step son, who failed out of college his first year, is back home with us. He recently enrolled into a local college in our city. My wife and my niece recently left for her freshman year in college. She lives with her grandparents, my in-laws. They gave her their extra car to drive and she drove it most of her high school years. Now that she's off in college they are allowing my step-son to drive the car but it still belongs to my niece and when she comes home to visit he gives the car back. Today I was in the house doing some cleaning and I noticed my step-son come in from class. A few minutes later the oldest step-son came to visit. I didn't think anything of it and kept on cleaning. An hour or so later went to get the mail and the only car in the driveway was mine. When I walked into my step son's room he was laying on the bed. That surprised me because the car was gone. I asked where it was and he said his brother had it. His brother doesn't have a license, only his permit. He has epileptic seizures and has already wrecked one car due to t seizure. His relationship with his grandparents isn't the best because of his attitude. I do not think it's the best for him to be driving around town with only a permit to get pulled over by the cops and get arrested and the car get impounded. His brother (who has a licence) allowed him to take his grandparent's car without their permission. How do I address this with my wife without her thinking I'm just trying to get her son in trouble or that I'm just trying to start something? |
