Question: I'm am very embarrassed.? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 12:41 PM PDT So the other day I had a doctors appointment, my mom dad and sister were in the room my sister and I are twins so we have the same appointment.(i am a guy and we still have the same appointment it's weird.) so anyways we got our height weight and eyes checked then went into the room where they do the appt. and next of course like always told us to take our clothes off. Before, They asked us if we wanted our parents in for the appt and I said no but of course my sis said yes. So I took my clothes off and I was down to my underwear and my mom told me to take it off. So I took it off. I look at my sister and her nipples were very hard. So my lower parts stuck out like a flagstick. There I was fully erect in front of my family. Then the doctor came in. At this point I was very turned on looking at my sister. The doctor did her appt first then mine. When she did the hernia check she grabbed my balls and told me to turn and cough. I was very turned on and then I got a very crazy feeling and then I shot on her hands. It was so embarrassing I felt like crying. I couldn't speak because I was so embarrassed. As soon as I got home I went up to my room and haven't came down since. What should I do |
Question: Mom has a reason to be mad? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 12:32 PM PDT I'm 16 and homeschooled I go to school twice a week and I get yelled at for not helping watch my mothers daycare kids. Sometimes when I do homework I watch the kids and my mom says what's the point of you doing hw out here if you don't help? And I keep telling her I am watching the kids I'm just doing hw at the same time. So then she tells me to go in my room. And one reason why I don't really like watching her daycare kids is because she doesn't really do much except lay on the couch and watch tv and is on facebook most of the time and complains about us not helping her watch her kids. (There's like 12 screaming kids all day until 6:30). So I think like what teenager wants to watch kids all day!?! I can't leave the house in between 7-3 because of school hours for public high schools. But I'm just tired of getting yelled at for not watching kids and I'm sick of being in my room all day!!! It makes me sad upset I'm already depressed becuase of the fact I stay home all day while everyone forgets about me while they are in public school and everyone has friends while I'm at home all day watching screaming kids. Help?! |

Question: Should my daughter visit her mom in jail? is there any benefit to visiting? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 11:46 AM PDT my wife will soon be entering county jail for seven months for a money crime. . I am willing to stick by her and not leave her because I feel She made some stupid mistakes but it was out of character so I think she just got herself into a bad situation and make some poor decisions. And I am not defending her or saying she should not serve her punishment. I told my kids she is rightfully serving her punishment which is the right thing for her mistakes. I am wondering what is the best way to prepare for this situation and how to handle it. I have a daughter who is 15 and she seems to be handling it fine. I told her right away about it and she reacted pretty calmly. She later joked about how her mother is "getting ordered around now". I think it is just a joke and I think it is better to be that way instead of being hysterical about it . I was originally not going to let her visit her mom in jail because I would think exposing her to that environment is not a good idea but I am actually hearing that it is a good idea to let her visit but why? isn't it a bad idea to let a 15 year old be exposed to a jail. She could easily be intimidated by the guards and inmates and just the area. My wife says bring her if she wants to visit but don't if she doesn't. She says she doesn't have a problem visiting but I am not sure. Also I want to make sure it doesn't feel like the whole family is in jail . I am not sure what the benefit in visiting is over phone calls |
Question: How would you deal with your partner's mother if she was nosy and intrusive? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 11:28 AM PDT I'm a very private person and I like to keep my goals to myself. I've know my boyfriend's family for years (before us dating) & we've been together for 3 years. His family is very gossipy, judgmental, nosy, blunt, and ignorant. They come from a large family where they talk about everyone and have no shame in asking, "are you pregnant?" I don't like having my business put out there because I don't need the unnecessary noise - the judgment, unsolicited feedback, and all the expertise (bc they know everything). I am an adult and don't I deserve respect to keep my space? I graduated college years ago but I graduated from a program from healthcare. The questions never stopped and it was a huge distraction for me. I got a job after and I'm gearing towards another degree but in the same field. I recently got injured on the job and it's making me re-think everything. My bf comes to me stressed out and says, "my mom keeps asking what you're up to! Why can't you just tell her you got into your major?" LIke I said, I'm private. I prefer to focus on my goals AND THEN "announce". I don't feel like I should be obligated to tell her my business if I don't feel comfortable. I can see in a positive way she may care but knowing her, she'll tell her mom (grandma) and they'll speculate and it'll open pandora's box. And then question everything else in my life like why I'm not married yet and that I'll have abnormal babies bc I'm nearing 30 (his grandma already discussed this with me). I've also witnessed his mom corner my bf's sister fiance and ask, "when are you down with school and college?". In the past, I've been vague with her and she's been blunt back so it wasn't like I could back down. My boyfriend doesn't understand this concept that I am an adult and I need my space to be respected. I don't have to tell her bc SHE wants to know but he wants me to give it up and just tell her. I don't feel comfortable and I am not giving in. The next time I see her I know she'll ask. HELP |
Question: To move out or stay home? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 11:25 AM PDT I m 20 years old and I just recently moved back in with my mom and step dad after moving out when I was 17. My exboyfriend and I had an apartment together but he had to move states for school so my mom offered to let me move in and save up money. I stay at my current boyfriends house almost every night because my mom lives so far away from my work and he lives right down the street. I also just recently bought a car so I have a car payment and full coverage insurance now. Last night my moms husband asked me if I would start paying my phone bill (that s the only bill my mom has ever paid for me) my dad had full custody of us so she didn t have to pay for anything. And I told him I would because that s reasonable , then he asked me to pay their water bill which is 101 a month and I said yes, but I don t see how that s fair. I m literally NEVER there. I feel like he s using me to get caught up on his bills. My mom wanted me to save money but with my car payment, insurance, phone and water I ll be paying triple of what I used to pay. I m not trying to sound like a spoiled brat but I don t know what to do. I m also trying to go to school but I won t be able to with as much as I have to work to pay for everything |
Posted: 24 Sep 2015 11:09 AM PDT My dad was gone at this point. I contacted him via email and he said he had had a premonition and had gone to contact his lawyer and was now staying in a motel. He could not contact me via phone because my step-mom had taken his. He told me he was panicking yesterday under stress and wanted me to stay home from school for the next 3 days under the excuse of "family emergency". We were supposed to discuss this again at 10 AM but he just left without waking me up. He said in the email that our aunt (who lives next door and is our land-lady) will serve an eviction notice to our step-mom when she comes back from a trip. She will be back on Friday. He told me not to try to reach her before then. He said he would come back to the house to get me, but then when he did not do so at the time agreed I called him at the motel and he said he had seen police 2 streets away and was paranoid his wife had convinced them he was guilty of stealing from her or some crime. I tried convincing him he was paranoid but he would agree to no plan for us to meet. He said he would call to discuss this again at 9:30 PM. He did not call then. He has not responded to any of my e-mail. I am all alone at the house with him and my aunt gone. I want to call my grandparents to contact her to get her to come back, mostly to serve the eviction notice but also just so I have someone to talk to. I am angry at everyone for being selfish. What should I do? |
Posted: 24 Sep 2015 11:08 AM PDT My dad has been having arguments with my step-mom. When they argued last she insisted on going to the neighbors. Dad did not like this as he had seen a change in her attitude towards him for the worst since she stayed over there before. He went along to defend himself, then she refused to come home and started staying in a homeless shelter. My dad has wanted them to go into counseling, but she showed up yesterday morning and kept pounding on the door. I had been told by Dad he didn't want her stealing things, so she should only come in to take things if the police are with her. Eventually I saw she had the police so I let her in. I had been supposed to watch everything she took out, too. She came in and raided basically all her clothes and everything she has in the house. The neighbor was with her and they went in her and my father's room together to get everything gathered up. The neighbor said my dad is a control freak and he has been trying to rule her life. He got mad at me for looking in the bag of things she was taking out and the police said they could not remove him because my step-mom had invited him in. They also said that she can basically bust in the door whenever she wants since she lives here, and my dad has no say in her not coming over. I want to move out of the house as soon as I can. The trouble is I would need a stable income. It is difficult to find a job well-paying enough and that will not interfere with school hours (I do not have a high school diploma because I went through 12 years of homeschooling). Also I am trying hard to learn to drive. I am trying to declare independence. It is just a difficult process because I cannot drive and the reasons I have explained about finding a well-paying job. |

Question: Brother getting on my last nerves? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 10:32 AM PDT So my mom told me to clean my room yesterday, and I was going to. I ve only been awake for an hour before my brother comes in and bugs me about my room, which I said I ll do later. Then he goes and tries to make it personal, pretty much making it seem like I to dumb to do it myself. What. The. Heck. I really just needed to vent, but any advice would be good too. |
Question: Can we take custody of my niece and her brother? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 10:06 AM PDT My niece & her brother (he has a diff. father so he is not related to us) have been living with us for about 2 years now. Her father which is my brother passed away two years ago, so basically we take care of her. Their mother is very irresponsible, she works off the books, receives welfare, & we just found out she's been receiving SSI for her son also. She does not buy them food, clothes, doesn't pay my mom, doesn't pay for anything. She goes sometimes two weeks without seeing them, in the winter we barely hear from them. She always puts pictures of them on social media that she's w/ them but she's not & they're home with us. We basically have no proof that they've been living w/ us but it's so ridiculous that they have been here for so long & she doesn't ever have money to even buy them food but has money to buy concert tickets 9 rows away from the stage to see daddy Yankee. When she had our niece, she was trying to sell her & give her away & somehow one of our brothers saw her and brought her home with us, this is when my nice was about 6 months old. We raised her until she was 5, we tried taking custody and unfortunately we couldn't because she claimed we didn't give her a chance to be a mother, the judge was mad and said she made no sense but would give her a chance. We just rather them be with us officially without running the risk of her taking them and something happens to them(they were left alone several times, 1time they got robbed while they were alone) |
Question: My boyfriend s parents purposely ignored my birthday.? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 09:59 AM PDT Traditionally my boyfriend s parents take us to dinner on our birthdays. So back in May at his birthday dinner they brought up what I d like to do for my 50th birthday. I said I had never been to a spa and really wanted just that, no party and no dinner. His mother said that was great and she would make arrangements for both of us to have a spa day. Cool! Fast forward to a week before my birthday she says where do you want to go for dinner for your birthday. This lady mind you, has a very good memory. She is undermining my wishes for my birthday. I am pissed! But instead of voicing it I say, no where. Then she starts making suggestions and I just say that it s my 50th and I want it to be more special than going to Sizzler or some other local restaurant for dinner. I d rather not. So my birthday comes and goes without a peep from her or her husband. It s now getting really strange because they normally drive past us several times a week to go to a relatives house. I ve seen her car there, which means she is taking a different route to avoid us. Really? It s so stupid and with other holidays coming up I just want to call her and ask her what she thinks she s doing? But thought I d reach out here first on advice on what to say or not say. Thanks. |

Posted: 24 Sep 2015 09:46 AM PDT My mom usually doesn't talk to me. I live in my house with my little sister cousin grandma and mom and her boyfriend and my uncle and grandpa. My mom doesn't talk to me at dinner, she always talks to my cousin, she doesn't listen to what I want, I never get what I want, she doesn't encourage me and she always demeans me in public. She is also too controlling, she doesn't let me watch tv during the weekdays, she doesn't let me play or go on my computer on the weekends and weekdays, she is always telling me to study for the ssat, and she says I'll never get into the school, and she called my emotions bull-****. I really don't know what to do, how do u deal with this? |
Posted: 24 Sep 2015 09:42 AM PDT I'm 19 and currently in college, living in a dorm. My grandma sent me a letter to my college address, so my dad (her son) wouldn't know that she sent it to me. She told me about a lot of her struggles that she has faced in her life. Not only did she tell me about her life, but also about her children's (my dad's, aunt's, and uncle's) lives. She put a lot of very dark personal things about them in this letter that I probably was never supposed to find out about. Of course I love her dearly, but she has always been the type of person who would say whatever comes to her mind, which would lead her to say some things that she probably shouldn't have said. She brings up a lot of very sad topics. She has depression. I don't know if I should tell my dad or not. He would be absolutely furious if he found out about this. Since my grandmother tends to blurt out whatever comes to her mind, I feel that she might tell my dad about the letter even though she knows how angry he will be. He would also probably be angry that I did not show it to him as soon as I got it. Can anyone please give me some advice? |

Question: I need advice on a family situation? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 09:37 AM PDT I am 19 , a working college student who is not home during the day and only return at night. Me and mother live in a small studio apt with one room. My father has been in and out of my life throughout my whole life. Recently his health is failing him drastically and he has been starting to come over and spend time with me more than he ever did. He used to come spend weekends with me when i was younger but i can remember he would sometimes go months without seeing me.. My mother only allowed this out of the kindness of her heart allowed him to stay and spend time with me even though most of time he was trying to win her back and was using me as an excuse to come over.. but besides the point, he is now failing in health and has begun to come over more and more because of this fact. He doesnt take into the fact that we literally have no room for him to stay over anymore. he has his own place and now with me being grown i no longer crave that attention anymore. I am not home throughout the day and when he stays over he mostly just stays at my house and waits for me to come home which makes my mom uncomfortable in her own house, and i feel like thats not fair to her. I see it as he knows his health is bad and now he wants to spend more time with me. but i am not a little girl anymore and I dont want to be mean to him but our place is too small for him to stay over like how it was when i was a child.how do i address this to him? I love my father but I want to be fair to my mother |
Question: My sister won't leave me alone. Any suggestions? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 09:04 AM PDT She texted me at 1 AM saying, "Do you want to f$ me? Good, because I do." I ignored it, then she came to my door, opened it and began to strip in my room. She told me she wanted me and it's ok because we're brother and sister. I decided to have sex with her just once but now she's worried she might be pregnant because I blew my load inside her. |
Question: Why am I getting in trouble for this? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 09:01 AM PDT I was in the kitchen cleaning up, and my brother wouldn't get out of my way. Everybody I'm my house knows I HATE doing dishes when other people are in the kitchen. They just get in my way. So, I told him to get out of the kitchen because I got really frustrated. And so he just stands there. I bumped into him because he was in my way and he doesn't listen to me. The he gets upset because he goes "what, did you just start your period?' And I said no, did you? Do he shoves me into the sink. I take the pot I'm washing and threaten him (about spilling water on him) and then walk away. so, he goes and spills water on me. So I throw a plastic cup at him, an he throws it back at me and breaks a picture. Now, I'm in trouble. Why? |
Question: Why do I get along better with my father figures than mother(s)? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 07:58 AM PDT I get along a lot better with my adoptive father and biological father than my adoptive mother and biological mother. In fact, my relationship with my adoptive mother has always been stormy and unpleasant, but my relationship with my biological mother is practically nonexistent because she doesn't want anything to do with me. It was my father that really wanted to reconnect. I feel like I can talk to both father figures about anything, but not my mothers. And I'm a female, too. Is this weird? Anyone else have this experience? |
Question: What do u make of this 12 yr old boy's strange behavior? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 07:35 AM PDT A family moved in next door, 3 generations in one large house: grandma, mom, dad and two boys, 12 and 10. The other day I suggested to dad that we clear some brush w/the boys. A way to get to know one another. We had finished and were standing together in our lane, me facing father and 12 yr old. I noticed the boy screwing up his face as tho he'd maybe smelt a fart or something. He then suddenly and silently stepped forward to stand nearly touching me! Embarrassed, I moved back. . I am a 67 yr old single--and celebate--male. Why was he confronting me in this strange way? Was he saying "Oh I know yr type. You're single so u probably like boys. Back off!" Did he misinterprete my friendliness for sexual interest? I consider adult/minor sex child abuse. His dad invited me for a drink. He is what girls would call "cute." Tho intelligent, and a "natural athlete," his dad is dismayed he doesn't do more. His behavior is "quirky." The family says he's very"social", likes to hang out w/his pals. His mom threw a party for 25 of his friends last weekend. Just now we happened to cross paths. "He said "Hi" coldly and kept going w/o a backward look. Huh? I've been a proper & friendly neighbor. I get on well w/the rest of the family including his 10 yr old brother. I can''t figure out what I've done to cause the strange hostility coming from this 12 yr old. I don't understand it. What on earth do u think's going on here? |
Question: How can I surprise my parents and brother? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 07:29 AM PDT Hey there! So, I m a soldier who has been forward deployed to Korea for almost a year now. I haven t seen my family and they aren t expecting me until December! With that being said, of course I need to surprise them. I want to make their surprise big. I was thinking about taking them to a restaurant and being the waitress that comes to their table for their orders but does anyone else have any other ideas! I ll be eternally grateful! Thank you much and god bless! |
Question: Should I break up with her? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 06:59 AM PDT Ok so about 3 months ago I started dating this girl I had met even though I said I wasn't gonna rush it (but I did). So a few days after we start dating her grandma passed away. When she found out she freaked out and didn't know what to do. So I was there for her, I supported her, held her, told her It was gonna be ok, went to her family reunion and their funeral to show my support (she tried to make me but I didn't go in the building because I had a bad experience at a funeral), and I even moved in with her and her mom and step dad after she begged me (I'm 18, she 21). Well ever since then she been constantly trying to control me. She talk to me like I'm dumb and she always has a petty attitude for no reason, she spoiled, want everything her way and is always in my business. She did get me a job at burger king and she helped me get a phone but I keep telling her I can get a job at a cable company ( I have experience in that field and could start off at 13.50 an hour but i need to get a licence before I can apply) but every time I bring it up she tries to put it off and make excuses like she wants me to stay at minimum wage burger king. |
Question: How do I convince my mom to let me do this? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 06:56 AM PDT I am supposed to spend the night at my cousin's house tonight (we are on fall break). But since my mom realized we will have to wait to watch project runway, she doesn't want me to spend the night. How do I convince her without being really rude. My cousins and I were gonna play hide and clap and my mom was actually gonna let us go out at night. I was really excited. So how do I get her to let me? |
Question: Is it bad to prosecute your parents for identity theft? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 06:44 AM PDT I severed ties with my deadbeat dad 5 years ago. He is a narcissistic manipulator who used emotional blackmail all my life to extort money from me. I'm 30 and successful and it's no thanks to him. Although he as a stable job, he loves spending other people's money and 'borrowed' tens of thousands of dollars from me and I ran up some serious debt bailing him out. When I confronted him about it, he gave me the silent treatment. I cut him and and never looked back. Until I got a call from a collection agency last week about two internet accounts he had opened under my name since 2007. He basically used my name and my date of birth. I am shocked, but not surprised because when I was a kid, he would steal money from my wallet. The internet company didn't bother checking for ID cause it was done over the phone. Obviously he defaulted on the payments so I got a call. The company advised me to file a police report. I'm waiting to hear back from an officer. I'm sad it's come to this but I have to protect myself financially. My friend told me it's horrible to do this to a parent but a parent shouldn't do this to their child. |

I m 17 and I have my license so I was considering just taking her car and going but I dont want to get in trouble. I can t walk because it s too far idk what to do I have to go I live in a small town there's no city buses or anything and my school isn't in my town so there's only one bus. Also I don't have any family that lives close to me that could drive me. Also yesterday I asked her if she could pick me up from the bus after school and she said no because she was busy but she drove right past me when I was walking home |
Question: What do I do about my useless mother? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 04:42 AM PDT My mother has had migraines all her life. She lost her job about 3 years ago due to missing so many days of work. Since then, she has buried herself in her room, and still demands that she stays in control of the household. Heres where the details and main question starts. She does not work, clean, cook, pay bills of any sort, and is so lazy that she won't even get up to use the bathroom until she is almost pissing herself. She has back problems and gets plenty of pain killers to help the pain, but her migraines have stopped mostly. We have increasingly started to get into more and more arguments over her saying that "she pays the bills" and, she even said, her words not mine, that "respect is given, not earned". Which obviously shows the doesn't believe that she has to do anything to contribute to anyone or anything, but still deserves to reap the benefits of everyone else's work. My 2 sisters pay the bills, while my father gives her 300 a month child support. Mother and I get food stamps each month(im 17), and no she is not getting welfare or disability. My question is, where in the hell does she get the authority and jurisdiction(other than legally) to tell anyone what to do or how to live their life? She seems to live under the illusion that the title "mother" bestows an unlimited amount of respect and power from and over her children, even adult children, and that it gives her the right to literally live off of others, and give nothing in return. How do I deal? I see a few typos. Grammar Nazis stay at bay! |

Question: My parents don t believe in my dream? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 03:35 AM PDT I ve finished high school last year and I ve taken this year off to decide on what I want to do, and I ve figured out on a few options. I discuss this with my parents and they ve totally dampened my dreams, as if I don t want to be who I want to be. They want me to become what they want. What should I do here? I feel discouraged and unsupported. |
Question: How can I get my daughter to stop being a brat? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 03:10 AM PDT My daughter is in her twenties and she always cops an attitude all the time. She's been like this since High School and I'm at my wits end with her nonsense. Like any married couple me and my wife argue. She'll yell at us to shut up from another room. What me and her mother talk about is none of her business and she should keep her nose out of it. She acts like such a child everytime, storming out of the house while yelling rude insults at us like "Why can't I just sit in my own room and not hear screaming for hours?!" she can, she just decides to throw herself into something that again, is none of her business. She acts like a big shot by paying for her stuff saying she refuses to accept anything from us since "I don't want anything from you. I can take care of myself." Yeah she can because I was the one who paid for her to go to college. I deserve respect for that since I didn't have to do that. If she was on her own she'd have only money for her bills and nothing else. She should be grateful for that BA I helped her get. Her younger sister who is also in her twenties is being lead by her. Its like she's trying to brainwash her into thinking me and her mother are horrible people. Recently she acted out by throwing me and my wife's cans of beer out into the garbage. She likes to use the excuse that we drink too much as well. |
Question: My mom really making me angry? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 02:39 AM PDT I hate her ways sometimes. She's really close-minded and weird. Here's what happened to us recently. I was driving her to work. I made a facebook post, something really deep and profound. Some people liked the post so much that they asked permission to copy and paste it on their wall. I felt really proud and I thought I'd share it with my mom. She didn't recieve it well and said "It's a completely useless thing to say." Then she started muttering gibberish. I said, "Well, sorry I thought it'd be a good and deep topic to have a nice conversation about.." And then this is what she said that really pissed me off, "Is that what you're getting from your friends?" Like she thinks that my friends are a bad influence. I don't know where she got that from and why she said it. But it really pissed off like hell. |
Question: Wow ladies mature question? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 02:16 AM PDT I met up with a old school hs friend. She's now hot and when we met up she tried giving me a hi hug. I didn't know how to act. I got stuck/nervous so i didn't hug her back. It got really weird and she instantly pulled back halfway through the hug. I guess she felt rejected. As soon as she left i txt her apologizing saying i totally wasn't expecting a hug but that''ll i'll show some love next time. She didn't even txt back. Did i do the right thing???? now i'm worried/wondering if i now look weird in her eyes. What if i'm wrong and she didn't even try hugging me. No i don't like this girl we are just cool... |

Posted: 24 Sep 2015 01:45 AM PDT One day, he asked if I wanted to sit on his lap. I did.He tickled my stomach and then massaged it, but I thought it was a regular massage. Then he lifted up my pants and stuck his hand under my underwear and started to "massage" me down there.I thought it was a regular massage cause I didn't know what sex was. I knew I didnt like it though.Next time he did the same thing but this time I told him I didn't want to sit on his lap. He jokingly grabbed me from the couch and sat me on his lap. This continued on until I was 6 and my mom I moved further away, so they no longer needed to watch me. I thought nothing of this until I was 10 and learned what sex was. I then knew what he did to me was wrong but I was too scared to tell anyone. He and my grandma seperated for awhile. They recoinciled a few months later, though.I stopped calling him grandpa. I called him Dan, and he looked and me and then said "What?" in a joking voice but it still scared me so I then called him grandpa. I have been avoiding him as much as i can when i go to my grandma's house. When he tries to hug me i try to avoid it but he pulls me towards him. I have started to only vaguely remember those events from when I was younger and I didn't understand why I couldn't remember. I read up on people in similar situations and I realized that I have suppressed the memories. I haven't told anybody. I'm afraid to. I don't know why I'm afraid. I guess I'm afraid no one will believe me or that he will hurt me. What do I do? P.S. He is not my biological grandpa, my grandma married him before I was born I also am scared because i still dont completely remember what happened, because the memories are suppressed. What if he did more than just touch me? |
Question: How can i get my mom to respect my privacy? Posted: 24 Sep 2015 12:15 AM PDT I m 13 years old, and my mom never gives me any privacy. I m not overexaggerating this at all. She barges into my room then yells at me for barely any reason. She has tapped into my phone and computer (and don t call me spoiled for having these things and being young. I realize I am lucky enough to have these luxeries.), and she watches me almost all the time. I get that she cares but then she uses all this stuff against me. She used to catch online pedophiles before i was born, and so she thinks everyone is a pedophile. She usually goes by past experiences, meaning she ll parent me like her mom would have or how she parented my sister. My sister got in big trouble over the Internet when she was my age, so of course she thinks i make those mistakes. But tapping into my phone and computer seems a bit extreme. And when i bring it up she says that she owns me until i m 18. She barely thinks of how i feel, it feels like she doesn t care that she s the reason i always want to cry. I give her respect with her privacy, i don t do anything ahe does. I always knock on her door and wait for a response while she barges in. I never look in her room when i m home alone but she does when i m at school. And i certainly don t tap into her electronics like what she does to me. I want her to stop being like this, and i try to respectively and calmly talk to her about it and she always just goes back to the "i own you." Please help me! |
Question: My host family will not let me leave.? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 11:28 PM PDT I am an international student and I currently am with a host family. There is no paper contract, and they told me that I could leave anytime I wanted as long as I give them a notice two weeks before I move out. I told my host father that I was going to move out and move in with my boyfriend, they told me that I am being disrespectful and being immature, and it is a bad decision to make. He told me that it was never going to work out with my boyfriend because of my condition and his, and living together will not workout whatsoever. He told me that he knows psychology and knows that it will not workout because of my situation; I have a depression. However I did not have any depression when I lived by myself before I moved into their house, and had no problem being by myself all the time. I am depressed right now because of many things going on in my life, and to keep myself away from affecting my school work, I think that it is best way for me to move in with my boyfriend since he knows my condition and he always makes me feel better. This is not the first time we live together; we have kind of lived together before as well and it had no problem at all -- I was actually better off with him. My host father told me to keep what he told me between me and him, but I feel that his wife is more understanding than since she was never against the fact that I was moving out. Do you think it is a bad idea to tell my host mother what happened? I don't want to be in the house anymore that I want to move out this weekend instead of two weeks later. |
Question: My woman too busy looking after mad brother? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 11:22 PM PDT I want to know what to think here. I have a woman who I haven t married yet and we live separately. My woman s brother went mad last month and he is now a mentally ill person. My woman without telling me brings him to the house and he would have supper with the kids etc which is no problem. Every evening the brother would either sleep over and the kids move out of their room and sleep in the dining room on the floor. Again no problem. The one I have a bit of a problem about is every evening when the brother needs to go home to his house she would nag me to immediately after supper drive the brother to his house. I seem to be the brother s transporter. We don t spend much time together anymore because she puts the brother first- she would even stop me busy talking and say he has finished eating take him home. Is there something wrong here or am I the one who is mad? Thanks and sorry if I am wrong |
Question: How do I move out when my parents threaten to cut me off of everything? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 10:38 PM PDT I'm 18 but still in high school and my parents are beyond insane. I play a club sport which is very expensive and I have to pay for it all and my parents won't let me quit. I give all my paychecks to my parents to pay for it so it's very hard to save any money. If I try to move out they can claim ownership to all my stuff and cut me off of insurance, won't let me take a car, etc. How do I move out? |

Posted: 23 Sep 2015 10:36 PM PDT I have a sister that is 3 years older than me. She isn't as educated and open minded about life and the world as I am. Yet she has the want to do things her way even if they don't make sense. For example while on vacation I researched menus of restaurants in the area to make sure places were affordable and were family friendly since many restaurants are pricey and more frilly about food items they served. Despite my researching she would blow off my suggestions of where to eat and tell me to not bother researching. Yet the day prior due to my researching we found two suitable restaurants and one place where my 2 year old nephew ate really well at and enjoyed. She just expected to pop in at a restaurant without any prior knowledge which doesn't work when by the ocean. We were also trying to get back home and she would continue to drive farther away from the way to get home only to find a restaurant and to see more scenery. This has now caused us to get home really late. Whenever I state an fairly accurate opinion she automatically says no and adjusts it to her own viewpoint. It's like she doesn't want me to be right when it really is no contest as I'm not looking for a debate. I don't know how to deal with her. What is her deal? |

Question: What is wrong with me and my mother? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 10:32 PM PDT My mom is driving me crazy! She doesn't trust nor understand me, talks too much during conversations with me, doesn't let me do things my way, and doesn't even try to understand my way of thinking! I made a new years vow that we would argue less but it doesn't seem to be going right. Is there something I can do to fix this problem or just give up? |
Question: I need to fake a parent meet up!? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 10:24 PM PDT I ordered some things online, such as a water vapor kit. My parents opened the box before me and think i'm doing drugs. I told them its for my friend but they said they'll only give it to her parents in person, to see if my lying. Question: Mom is treating me like a COMPLETE STRANGER? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 10:01 PM PDT I ask my mom for $30 to do my hair tomorrow and I will give it back to her this week. She says "Well you have money to go with friend to a hospital after hair dresser, but no money to do your hair? And if you're going there to just wash, treat, and trim it, DONT BOTHER." Then, she starts telling my little sister bad things about me. And said to me I better decide if I am coming or not. I decided I am not going. If she will have a stink attitude about lending me money, then she can feel bad about herself all day tomorrow. I never asked her for a single penny for the past two years. I always helped myself, or my boyfriend helped me out. I didnt have a job since April and I am still doing everything on my own without her help. Why is she treating me like such a stranger smh? This has been going on forever. Im 23 right now. Struggling to find a job so that I can move out. I also just graduated with a Bachelor in Accounting. |

Posted: 23 Sep 2015 08:39 PM PDT I love this girl to death, and recently she just gave birth to our daughter. When I first looked at my baby, i automatically saw that she resembles my mother a lott. She has the same round eyes and when she looks at me I see my mom. Now keep in mind my mother passed away 5 years ago, but I did grow up with my mother so I miss her a lot and I still can't believe she's really gone. My daughter made me feel so happy, she totally changed my life. So today after my daughter and Gf woke up from their nap because they always sleep on the same bed, I picked her up and I told my girlfriend how my baby girl looks a lot like my mother, her grandma, but my gf didn't like that. She goes " um excuse me, give me my baby back Eww I did not carry my baby for nine months to look like your dead mom, my baby girl is a beautiful princess not a old dead witch" she said it with the nastiest attitude. After I heard these words my heart felt crushed, I put the baby down and stepped outside feeling pain. Like how could she say such thing about my mother ? What should I do? She hurt me and I don't wanna talk to her. |
Question: Do you find it unfair that the father has no say in a abortion? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 08:27 PM PDT I am against abortion, and I personally think that if either the mother or father wants to have the baby then there should be no abortion. Speaking as a women where did the mans right go? Its not just her baby its his to. So what if the girl doesn't want to be a mother, she should have considers the consequences before she had sex. Its just as much the fathers child as it is hers, so why does the mother get all the rights and the father gets zero? That just isn't fair to me. She choose for her body to be with this man, she choose to possibly get pregnant. The baby did not chose any of this so why is the child getting punished for its mothers mistake? Where is the babies rights? ITS the babies body/life they are taking away, the mother isn't losing her life like the baby is, the baby is losing a lot more then she is. Its wrong, its so wrong. |
