The bridal shower is likely going to be held either June 11th or 12th 2016. We have expecting at least 25-30 guests. We d like to keep our budget for the rental at $500. We are open to all ideas! You can even think out of the box. Help! We are also open to places in NYC but we know that may be out of our budget.

Am I the only girl who thinks that diamonds are overrated? Honestly, I think they're tacky, and overused. Obviously I would *love* a diamond engagement ring from my boyfriend, but I think it'd be really special if he remembered while picking out a ring, that I love pearls. I would be *thrilled* if he proposed with a pearl ring. I don't know... its not traditional, but I love it!

I was recently married and I'm looking to plan a romantic, fun day for my husband. I'm usually able to come up with something but I creative mind is blocked. Sweetest Day is October 17th, so I don't have much time. I'm fully aware this is a man made holiday, however we like celebrating. Any ideas for that weekend in Chicago?

My girlfriend loves moonstones. If I added it to a silver engagement ring instead of a diamond would that look good? Sorry I'm a guy, platinum is what I was looking at. My fiance and myself have personal issues with my sister and her fiance. They are set to get married October 2016 and we are in November 2016. She as asked me to be a bridesmaid. I am really uniterested in that due to many reasons. 1 i cant handle her for long periods of time. 2 i have a 1 year old i try to spend as much time with as possible. 3 i am packed between work, trying to build a house, and plan my own wedding. 4 i HATE the dress she has picked out and it would look awful on me because of the style. 5 she expects me to pay for my part of everything and as previously stated were building a house planning a wedding and have a 1 year old (i also have a 2 year old 'step son'). we have never been close and i really dont like her friends either (who are ALL in the wedding also, she has about 8 bridesmaids picked out.) how do i say no without upsetting my entire family who thinks i should just suck it up and be apart?
