Posted: 29 Sep 2015 05:09 PM PDT i dont like myself because i always feel like an outcast. im not weird or anything, i dress nice and on trend and i have social skills and people tell me im not gorgeous but i know im pretty b/c tell me this. i like to drink and party but i dont fit in with the cool frat party crowd, we just have nothing to talk about. i dont fit in with the hipster crowd either like my roommates (i find them boring and strange tbh) . im black but i dont fit in with the hip hop/black crowd at my university b/c they think i act too 'preppy' yet i dont fit in with the preppy soritory girls at all. i've only had a couple friends in my whole life. and now im 21, i've never had a boyfriend and im on the verge of having no friends. im going to graduate college in spring 2017, im very worried about my future i feel as though im going to have a lonely life i have no real interests or hobbies. i just like to hang out, shop, watch tv, party, and stuff like that. I'm perfectly okay with that because I went with her last year as well. The only thing that's bugging me is that she wants me to stay at her house Friday night so we could wake up early. Today we were just laughing in class and like 2 minutes later her entire facial expression changed. When I came to her and ashes wha was wrong repeatedly she replied with "nothing's wrong". After about a minute I see her opening up abt the situation to her friend. Honestly that didn't sit to well with me.. I have had these episodes where they last 10-15 minutes and I have no idea what's happening. Usually people tell me that I say "okay" a lot and my eyes turn red. The episodes stopped last year but looks like they have come back. It's not a medical reason. The doctors told me I just get too stressed out. Anyway, the episodes happened a lot at school. Yesterday, it happened in my English class and today it happened in math. People look at me different. Idk what I should tell them? Like if people make fun of me? Also I have no friends. I try to have friends but most of the people I talk to are classmates. I consider myself to be an intelligent, sweet, caring person with a bright personality. I sit with a judgmental girl at lunch and I don't enjoy listening to her gossip about other people. I don't have anyone else to sit with. My best friend attends a different high school because I moved 45 minutes away when my mom got married. She is my only friend. I'll be honest, since I moved into this richer area, I'm not as outgoing as I would've been if I didn't move. The girls at my school aren't very inviting and it doesn't seem like they want to get to know me, so I mostly just talk at lunch. I am self-conscious of my smile, so when I do smile, I know that people judge me off of my appearance and not my personality. I have to wait to get braces and I really can't wait! When I first meet people, I'm kind of shy because I don't trust them enough to open up to them, so nobody really talks to me. I am not popular, but I'm not a "loser". I've been through a lot but I look at the bright side of things and learn from my mistakes. I've opened my eyes to how cruel teens can be in high school and I think that's why I don't talk to many people. There is so much disrespect and I can't stand it. My point is, I need a good friend and they're very hard to find at my high school because the majority of the girls think they're so much better than everyone else. I just saw this girls instagram post with my former best friend, at her 16 birthday party with other friends I don't even know. She's been refusing to eat lunch with me and her old friends she loved till highschool, I don't know, seeing all her new friends, and me not part of them. Made me sad. I always saw us growing up together, but the second she got a better offer, she ditched me. She helped me through middle school, elementary. I don't know where I'd be without her. He picks up my phone to look at who it is and says, "Oh you didn't tell me there was someone else." With a straight face, I hoping he was kidding even though he did not say he was. It lasted throughout the year and it drove me to the point of wanting to kill myself. Things have gotten better now and I've stuck with a few friends that are actually here for me and on my side. We're in high school now, and things have been going really well. I have a lot more confidence, I'm taking advanced classes, and I even have an amazing boyfriend. But, in the few times that I pass them in the halls, hear my friend tell me they said something, or if I'm just in the same general area as them I get this paralyzing fear. It distracts me and makes me think back to the bullying days, and it gets me so upset. And they aren't even doing anything anymore. I thought I was over what happened, but for some reason I'm still terrified of them. Is there a way I can get past this? |

I got up and used my one hand to stomach claw/tickle her belly and she was laughing and kicking me and I started punching her. But my brother said "no roughing". I wanna get him a present cuz normally I get $25-$50 gifts for my friends at their birthday parties , but since he's a boy and we're at the age where all middle schoolers care about is shipping people and spreading rumors about them, he cant invite me to his bday party. Plus his parents are really strict, like mine, and wouldn't allow a girl in the house cuz they will immediately assume we're doing "bad-love stuff". I'm very competetive, so I make everything a race/competition. For example, her snapchat score is 10,000 and mine is almost 6,000, no big deal to most. But to me, I must catch up. I told her something like this and she told me how annoying it was, and then left my house. I've been like this my whole life. I know the cause, but no one else does. It's because she's better then me at mostly everything. She's prettier, all the teachers love her, she's a better dancer, more confident, has better clothes, etc etc. The last thing I can think of is that I have no friends. If she's absent from school, I'm doomed. She has plently of other people she could sit with, meanwhile I have no one. I've been her best friend since I was two, and I've always had her. I haven't needed anyone else. But now I'm realizing I probably shoul've, but It's too late. Everyone has their groups, and I'm not a part of one. Well, i have been sitting with my friend at this one spot for the past 3 years (im a senior). Its 8 weeks into school, and now there's these girls that sit in my seat. Now me and my friend are at separate tables. Its been 4 days already. And yesterday, i came super early to my seat. And while me and my friend were talking, i noticed 2 of the three girls were sitting next to me, so now the table is completely full. 5 minutes later, the 3rd girl comes along with her food and sees theres no place to sit. And i saw the 2 girls just look at her n then me, as if trying to telepathically say 'shes in ur seat'. But i continued sitting there, very proudly. Today, the girls got there early, so i sat separated from my friend again, but this time at the same table still. The girl sitting in my seat just stared at me with a disgusted look on her face, like she thought i was a creep. How can i get my seat back w/o being rude? Should i just come earlier to lunch? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 02:24 PM PDT ok so basically i didnt tell my best friend a big secret involving my depression bc she sometimes made me feel like she would judge me, but i told her like a week ago and today she was pissed off that i didnt tell her until then. but we talked it out and we werent mad at each other anymore, it took like 15 minutes but eventually it was like everything was actually back to normal, we were talking about random stuff and running around and doing stupid stuff laughing until our sides hurt. afterschool i saw her with her other best friend and she saw me but didnt say anything. i said hi to her and im pretty sure she looked at me but didnt say anything and kept walking. am i being paranoid or is it just that she was having a conversation with her friend? or is it just that shes not mad anymore but shes still a little upset? |

I hate being seen as those things because people like that get zero respect. I'd like to think that I'm strong and independent. I'm an introvert, but I'm not shy. I joke around sometimes and even tease. Yet I'm Still "sweet, innocent, naive Melody". I'm average-height and on the ever-so-slightly smaller end of average weight. I'm light-skinned for a Black girl so maybe people see this as being less strong? I think I walk confidently and I make eye contact (at least I TRY to). I'm NOT innocent. I'm the only one in my friend group who has had sex yet everyone assumes I'm the one who hasn't. I watch porn, masturbate, and I drink sometimes with my of-age friend. None of my other friends do it ever even have or want to. Really, I'm the least innocent. But just because I don't talk as much as they do, I'm the pure little baby of the group (did I mention I'm the oldest?) like geez! Anyone else have this problem or know why? |

I was moved to a different table and I just don't really like it there. The girls are nice and all but if I had a choice, I wouldn't really pick them as friends. You know what I mean? My friend sits at the old table that I liked and I really want to ask her if I can sit there again but I just don't know how. And if it doesn't work out, how can I ask her to introduce me to other tables or ask other people if I can sit at their tables? |
| Question: How to forgive someone...? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 02:11 PM PDT A friend has without a vehicle so I would take him on errands. He was usually taking too long but that was ok as it was only ten or fifteen minutes. The last time we were friendly I took him to get a haircut. He was in the chair for 50 minutes. Not just waiting but getting his haircut. I finally went in and asked what was taking so long in a what-was-for-me stern voice. My friend freaked out getting very upset. Well the barber said he would take my friend home. Later that evening he called/texted and things got very argumentative. Since then there has been no or little communication, mostly just passing by each other every few months. He will not apologize and I do not expect one from him. So I am moving on. How do I forgive him if he does not apologize? I see him and find myself thinking "there goes that @$$hole" and do not want to do that any longer. I know he has said some not nice things about me but he can be that way if he wants. So how do I forgive him so that I can move on with my life in a healthy manner? |

Friday, one of my friends wanted to show his friends around, which I was fine with. And the other wasn't there because of money. The first friend I mentioned told me he wanted to make plans on Saturday on Friday night. On the side note, I haven't seen him in years. I mentioned that we could meet up for this event, but he never replied. Next day, he didn't answer phone his either, completely ditching me. His excuse is that his phone dies quickly and had drama to take care of. I actually did see my other friend, but only for few minutes. I went to get food, and she went to do something else. I texted her when I was done, but she never replied. It took a while for me to find her, but she told me she had other things to do, so I went to a panel. Later, she wasn't at the meeting place. I even called her, but she wasn't there. I messaged her friend on FB, and she said they were chilling and will come meet me. Bullshit. I waited for an hour. When my friend finally texted me and said she'll come find me that moment.I told her not to bother because I was going home (I got fed up, ok?). Her excuse was that she was busy when her friend said they were chilling. Then hours later, she says she was at the contest, which was an hour after I left. We originally made plans to go together, and she was using that as an excuse... Am I honestly making a big deal out of it if they're the ones who ditched me? |

Posted: 29 Sep 2015 01:52 PM PDT Girls always say they want a good/nice guy, but when they meet one they find ways to nitpick that guy and end up sabotaging the relationship and rejecting him for a douche or a guy who gives them less attention and seems to care less about them and who's feelings are more ambiguous. I'm decent looking, not short, smart, not fat, educated and I have a job. My longest relationship is 3 months and I've only had four relationships. I don't understand why women seem to love guys who don't treat them right and who cheat and lie. I feel like the vast majority of time I am myself people seem to not like me. I am a nice guy. I'm honest and not offensive. I am dorky and not macho. I don't wanna change my personality just so more people will like me. I think that is so weak. |

We are in middle school and when he was coming out of the lunch line with his lunch i decided to pull a prank on him for fun. When he came i asked the teacher to go to the restroom and i was aloud so i asked my friend to come with his extra lunch money and his actual lunch. So when he came with me to the restroom. I took all his 20$ lunch money and threw it in the toilet and flushed it. He started complaining and said why would you do that! you jerk! so i lauphed at him and said you want more? and took all his lunch and threw it in the toilet except for his milk i dumped it on him. He started to cry so i hit him and screamed at him for making the mess incase a teacher finds out. He than kept crying and fell to the floor crying so i pulled his hair and kicked him into the toilet and lauphed! it honestly was so funny, his face was all wet and toiletish. So i decided one more prank and peed on him. He yelled and panicked and i lauphed and went back to the lunch room without him. I didnt know where he went. But I FOUND OUT HE TOLD ON ME AND NOW I AM SUSPENDED! I HATE HIM SO MUCH! WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIM |

Because I was forced to wear hijab from my parents and I can't go to sleepovers and hang out with certain people and I have to wear tight and body warmers under my school sports kit, even in summer. So I grabbed her by her school uniform jumper (she knew i would because i always do) and i accidently pulled a string. This made no difference to her jumper bearly at all. Then she started to whine and shout at me about it, and now she just ignores me and does not talk to me at all........even though I apologised like a MILLION times.
