Question: Cocktail Style wedding reception in the tri-state area? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 08:49 PM PDT Help! I m newly engaged and looking to have a casual cocktail style reception. I m on a tight budget for the NY area, I really dont want to spend more than 12,000 - and we are expecting approx 125 people. I ve looked into a bunch of lofts, but site fees alone where over $5,000. I have also looked into some venues that have All inclusive deals, and they were nice for a sit down dinner but I don t think their cocktail/buffet options are that great. Does anyone have any suggestions for anywhere in long island, brooklyn or queens? I ve seen some cheaper option out in suffolk county but I m really looking for nassau county closer to the city. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! |

Posted: 19 Sep 2015 06:37 PM PDT I'm only 19 so I obviously won't be getting married for a long time, but like most girls I am always fantasizing about my wedding day. I really want to get married in the winter, particularly January around the New Year!! Is this a bad time to get married? Like a week after New Years Eve or is it ok? |
Question: Surprise for the honeymoon? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 05:46 PM PDT My husband and I are heading to the airport in about an hour, to leave for our honeymoon. We're in Illinois, so Hawaii is about an 8-9 hour flight. His birthday is tomorrow, and I want to do something really special to surprise him (and maybe catch him off guard, a little bit). Any suggestions? |
Posted: 19 Sep 2015 05:15 PM PDT which is not true, and (yes we've had problems, but have talked about them). I think my ex boss has something to do with it.he's weird ( like he tells ppl in the office that we still talk and that I was doing alright after my surgery, even though we haven't talked at all since I left the company 4 months ago because of how weird he was acting toward me, like obsessive .. he even checked my personal email! ) so anyways I'm almost sure this guy said something to her... but she handled it horribly. She called me while I was studying for an exam and said she found out I was talking crap behind her back to get her fired or something like that, and that because of that she wasn't comfortable being in my wedding at all (she was also a bridesmaid) . I asked her who said it, or at least what I was being accused of saying, and she refused to tell me. So I told her she should've at least asked instead of accusing me, since I haven't said anything like that. She again refused, and I told her if she didn't want to come then don't, because I didn't appreciate being accused like that. Then we hung up ( it was like a minute long conversation) The thing is.. I don't know what to do. I texted her, but blocker her after because I don't know if I would ever want to be her friend ever again after this.. its too much and its happened before It's not the first time we have major issues.. But i can't deny how much its affecting me and don't know what to do...thanks and sorry for the long message !! |
Question: What wedding dress looks good on a 5'3 curvy bride? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 05:04 PM PDT I am going wedding dress shopping in a month! I haven't tried any on before, but I am trying to get a sense of what would look the best on me. I do not want anything tight fitting to show off my hips, but I think a ballgown might drown me out. Thoughts? Thanks! |
