Question: Bachlorette party ideas? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 10:02 PM PDT My sister is getting married in November and we are clueless as to what to do for a bachlorette party.. She doesn't want any male genitalia involved let alone strippers. And very little alcohol is allowed and hopefully doesn't cost to terribly much. Do you see our problem lol. We need some serious help because we have no idea. She also doesn't like getting massages...Any ideas would be appreciated.. |

Question: Ideas for kids at a wedding? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 05:09 PM PDT My fiancé and I have six kids (a 14 year old boy, 13 year old girl, two 11 year old boys (one with DS), a 7 year old boy, and a 6 year old girl) and we're pregnant with twins. We both want a big family (and will most likely stop after our twins are born). We're planning on having a fall wedding so we were wondering what we could do to keep the kids entertained at the wedding. |

Question: Is it weird that the thought of getting proposed to/getting married gives me anxiety? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 12:25 PM PDT Like i HATE being in the limelight and proposing in a public place usually = being in the limelight of strangers and that FREAKS me out. If my future husband did that, i would probably walk away, embarrassed or have a panic attack there and then. Also, you're wedding day usually consists of all the attention on the bride (and sometimes groom) this = being in the limelight which also makes me uncomfortable and would probably lead to me getting a panic attack Is this super weird (it probably is) |
Question: Where can I find a plastic ring setting to put a diamond in? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 11:45 AM PDT I'm planning on proposing to my gf soon but I'm trying to find a ring setting where I can put the diamond in it. It's supposed to be a surprise and if I ask her what kind of ring design she likes, it will probably ruin it. So I have a diamond ready, I want to propose with the plastic ring setting with the diamond in it, then design the ring together with her afterwards. Anyone know where I can get something like this? I'm already spending thousands on the diamond..I don't want to spend more for a temporary setting to propose with. I'd rather put the extra couple hundred on the actual ring. Something that looks like this http://tinyurl.com/qx94tjz but with a top I can open to put the diamond in. |

Question: When should you buy the groom's ring? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 10:34 AM PDT Do I buy his ring closer to the wedding date or after we get engaged? |
Posted: 28 Sep 2015 10:19 AM PDT Do you think a teenage couple with a child could work if the boy was the son of a CEO and he inherited millions of dollars. |
Question: How do you plan a wedding around such large families? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 09:29 AM PDT My fiancé and I have not really started any of the planning yet. But I have been wondering, how exactly do you plan around a large amount of family members? Between the two of us, we're talking twelve siblings, most of whom are married themselves and have kids as well. I don't want a huge wedding party, neither does he. And I know not everyone will be included in whatever we do during the ceremony. But that's all I know what to do! We don't want an intimate affair with just us and our parents. We want my four brothers and his eight siblings there as well. That's immediate family, and I know extended family probably won't come or at least all of them, but just what we know we want feels like a lot. I do like the idea of no kids, but I don't know if some people in his family would like that. I don't have sisters, so I can't have a sister stand up for me. And I'm not looking for a laid back ceremony. I don't want a huge 10,000 dollar plus affair, but I also don't want jeans and a tee shirt kind of thing. |
Question: To keep or sell wedding dress? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 05:12 AM PDT So due to pregnancy complications, I've been put on unpaid early maternity leave. This obviously has put a huge crimp in our financial situation. I've been selling things around the house to try to compensate for this. My wedding dress is sitting in the back of my closet staring at me. I could probably get 300 for it, but I am scared I will regret my decision. I love my dress so much, but...money is super tight. I always had this dream that I would wear it for some wedding vow renewal.... But.... Sigh.... I hate money problems. Any advice?; |
Question: Should I announce my engagement to my relatives via Facebook? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 05:09 AM PDT My mother doesn't approve of the person I choose to marry, and doesn't recognize our engagement at this point. We've been engaged since March, and I have been trying to convince her since. I'm not sure if announcing it will make things worse, better or not change anything. Just to clarify, my mother has known of my engagement ever since but disapproved because my fiancé is of a slightly different culture. The difference in our cultures is equivalent to that between an Italian and a Brit. |
Posted: 28 Sep 2015 04:51 AM PDT I got married very young 19 and it was at the courthouse. He was in the Air Force so we couldn't have the church wedding right away. I got a very timeless Vera Wang dress it was a ball grown. We didn't even make it 8 months so they dress never got used. I really love the look of the dress, but would it be bad to want to wear it? |
Posted: 28 Sep 2015 04:38 AM PDT My partner/fiance and I have been together for 20 years. We have 4 kids together. Their ages are 17, 15, 14, and 14. Our relationship has been non-traditional from the start. We bought a house, had our children, and now we're getting married 20 years later. With that being said, I should also tell you that my partner/fiance and I are both very frugal, thrifty, and practical. It makes no sense to me to spend money on an expensive engagement ring, when we have 4 teenagers who need things like shoes, clothes, school supplies, food etc. My partner/fiance wants to buy me a quality engagement ring, and I keep telling him no. All I want is a plain, quality, platinum wedding ring, which costs about $250.00 on Amazon. He says that I'm beautiful, and I deserve a pretty ring to show the whole world. He has made me feel beautiful every day for the last 20 years. I don't need a flashy ring to make me happy. Marrying the love of my life is making me happy. |
Question: Asking for an opinion from a clothes designer:? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 12:53 AM PDT I am getting married, and my bridesmaid color dress is Plum or Eggplant. Mother of the groom wants to wear Magenta color dress. Will this be good? Or too close in colors? Please help. |
