| Question: My friend only talks about herself, plz help? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 03:56 PM PDT So one of my close friends talk about themselves-- A LOT. I learned to accept it, but now I'm just annoyed. Mainly cause every time we talk it has to be about her. She tells really long stories that I zone out of, and I get bored when she shows me videos off of youtube. It also doesn't help that I have the shortest attention spam ever. Anyway, every time I try to talk about my stories or stuff that happens to me, she interrupts me and has to talk about herself again. Even when I bring up the conversation, I always wound up forcing myself to listen to what she has to say. She also has this crazy obsession with something (not allowed to say) and I have no interest in it at all. But the problem is that 75 percent of the stuff we talk about has to do with it. And I really don't care, but only listen to be nice. Plus whenever I do zone out, she gets mad, or makes me listen again, and once I tried telling her I'm not interested but she just got mad again. I feel like she never cares about what I have to say, and that the only one who has something worth talking about is her. But she's one of my closest friends, and she's nice to me, but I can't deal with her constantly talking about things I don't care about!! What should I do? |

The first 2 days were good but about halfway through day 3 she started to get on my nerves so much! By the end of the holiday we were being quite moody with each other and we barely spoke on the plane home. It got to the point that every time she opened her mouth I wanted to kill her. We didn t fall out exactly but just little habits of her s started to grate on my nerves such as her constant whining. The thing that annoyed me the most was every time I asked her what she wanted to do, she d be too lazy to think of anything and just say "I don t mind, it;s up to you"...it just got exhausting having to be the one who had to think of everything and not getting a clear answer from her about anything! The whole time it was like Me: Shall we go to this restaurant tonight? Her: I don t mind, if you want Me: Do you fancy the beach today? Her: oh I don t mind, it;s up to you? Me: Shall we just sit in the hotel and do nothing all day then?!!!! Her: uh..i don t mind...I m easy! We normally get along very well. Does this always happen when two friends are in each others company for too long? It s been like a week since the holiday and I m still not in the mood to see her. Posted: 20 Sep 2015 03:00 PM PDT So we had a movie night with our usual group(my best friend, let's call him Jake and my other really close friend let's say Matt) Our group is already really touchy feely like we cuddle with each other and get way to close (we are seniors in high school) for each other boundaries for as long as I can remember. Anyway I was cuddling with Matt (as usual) holding hands, putting my legs over him etc and he started moving his hand over my shirt, to my boobs. He would trace my bra with his fingers, later on in the night he put his hand under my shirt and started touching my boobs under my shirt(I had a bra on). I let him do it because it felt good, really good, trust him and knew he wouldn't do anything that I wouldn't feel comfortable with. The entire time he stayed above the bra. Besides, his heart was racing and that made me excited. It's weird because Matt has never showed any sign of liking anyone, let alone me. So I don't know what to think. And yet here he was getting close and personal at his house, with our friends around(they weren't paying attention, it was dark) and his family in the next room. So what do you it's think? Does he like me? Do you think he got turned on by everything? And is it okay for me to be enjoying this? |

She is homeschooled so she can't go the the sro at school. She lives with her mom and sister. Her mom cusses her out and her sister bullies her. She said she has other family but they don't really care about her. She was going to commit suicide like a week ago but I talked her out of it. She is really suicidal and idk what to do. (also i'm good friends with the girl, lets call her Sam, that feels like my best friend is replacing me with) Every time our group of 4 is together, both of them almost pretend like me and my friend aren't even there. She said to me while my friend was over, "Why the *bleep* are there footprints in the shower? Why did you do this and that! Your making everybody furious and my boyfriend and his son are down to their last nerves!" and my friend and I are just like we didn't do anything, because we didn't. Ever since she got a new boyfriend its like I am ruining her. I hate my dad, but I just want to live with him now. My mom kicked my friend out because her and I were "tearing up the house". We weren't. We have security cameras in our house (Ii think its weird) showing that we didn't do anything drastic. The only she has a reason to be the slightest bit mad about is that my friend and Ii got dinner at 6:30 instead of 6:45. He was obnoxious but I know that he was disabled so it wasn t his fault. However, in 7th grade I made two new friends that seemed kind enough. But Instead, they harrassed Jack every single day of school. They would corner him, mock him for his inability to speak proper English, they made fun of his height, they slammed a door on him, they would grab his arm and mimick his voice. I tried to defend him from the two of them bullies, but whenever I did, Jack would just look at me, the only person that could possibly protect him, and he lashed out at me, saying I wasn t his friend and blah blah blah. Eventually, I got sick of always vainly defending him, and sick of him being obnoxious (even though i knew he couldnt help that) I chose to join the bullies on openly antagonizing him every day of his life and forced him to live miserably. In 8th grade, he joined the smart kids group, he grew more mature with them which made me envious of just how easily they manamed to make his not the least bit obnoxious. One day, I was sent to the computer lab during lunch to make up a test I missed and he was there, he even asked me to sit by him. I was so nervous and full of shame but we had a brief chat and worked on the computers We re going into high school tomarrow (9th grade) and I ve decided to appologize to him for what I did to him. It s been on my mind all summer, any advice? |

| Question: I'm not good at anything? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 01:13 PM PDT I'm 17 and I suck at everything. I don't play any sports, get average grades even when I try, and I am quiet. I don't have any friends since guys are supposed to be loud and play sports. I tried going out of my comfort zone by playing sports this year but my teammates wouldnt pass me the ball, made fun of how quiet I was, and told everyone that I sucked. My teachers always tell me to talk more. One of my teachers told me I could email her for questions so I did but she called my question stupid and told the other classes how I asked a stupid question.I always get picked last in gym when we're doing team sports and the leaders are reluctant to take me in. I play the trumpet but always get 2nd part and the worst band. When I try hard in school, I still do bad on tests while other people dont have to try and get perfect GPAs. By now, I know I wont get a girlfriend for prom because I suck at everything. Any advice? I'm sick of trying to do well and not getting any results. |

Her best friend was there. The best friend was laying down on the floor, and she was wearing short shorts. I moved my head in a way that made it look like I was trying to look up the best friend's shorts (I really wasn't), and the girl I like noticed and has been looking at me funny ever since. I was surprised she wanted to hangout with me because I was 18 and I couldn't get into clubs...... all we did was go to movied, park or drive around. we were soo close until one day last year she told me we couldn't hangout anymore because she felt she was leading me on. soo we ended up drifting apart and our relationship changed. she deleted me from facebook just 2 month's ago l....but she would still message me but now it feels like we are strangers. What went weong? |
| Posted: 20 Sep 2015 12:39 PM PDT So, as a favor to a friend shelter problems, I allowed a friend to stay with me so that they can get their mind together as they do the legwork needed to either get a better situation or at least get a better shelter situation. Now, they have taken over my place. They, for some reason, believe the couch have assigned spots as in they refuse to sit anywhere else on a clean couch and believe science shows ( Cosmos, The universe, at the edge of space, scishow, bones, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Bill Nye, Michio Kaku, NASA news, brain games, absolutely nothing even a little educational) torture to look at. I still respect and love them as a parent so I still care but this I taking advantage of my kindness.I know that I can tell them leave but I actually do care about them and don't want them on the street. I have kicked out others before but I usually try to work out the issues we're having because I see the as a last resort and I'm running out of ideas and patience. |

Sleep overs calling on phone playing . All through primary school . It was a nice friendship. Come high school many other friends went their own ways but my best friend came to the same school with me . He started meeting new people and so did I. It was good we were still close. He went down the popular kid route and I went down the nerdy route. One time he had a sleep over at my house at 13 years old. On that day I was annoyed with some issue I wanted to go somewhere but my father said no. He started having family issues brother had a medical condition one other was gay . And he was doibg bad in school. I was a stupid immature sensitive kid who got jealous of my friend because he was more popular I thought he doesn't like me anymore. Long story short we passed through high school not talking as much anymore. I'm now in med school and he is I don't know what he's doing. I'm thinking about saying hi on facebook but after 7;years I don't know. I'm now 20. I think about him a lot. He really was my true best friend. I don't think I'll have a freind like that again. What do u think I should do ??? |

Well when we met she was bffs with this 2 girls that HATE me and when we became bffs those two girls HATED me even more but I just ignore them or try to but it every time I see me off in the hall way im in 8th grade now btw but when I see her in the hall she s talking with those two girls I say hello and my bff does not look even happy to see me and the 2 girls go UGH and I stare at my bff like wtf? And she just says you should go to class and walked off with the two girls and I m like ....df her problem and I asked her why she did that she said because they don t like me talking to you and in my head I m like WELL BFFS STAND UP FOR EACHOTHER but I say out loud .... Okay and I go home but like it really hurts my feelings and we ve shared our secrets and everything like I m afraid if I m not her bff anymore she will tell them my secrets...should I be her bff? |

She calls me her best friend and me too. But this year, she joined a college and last year got a bf and they are still together. I havent started college yet. We used to talk everyday or atleast once in 2-3 days. But now we dont talk for 2-3 weeks. And when we do, it s for an hour. We hardly meet. Once in 2-3 months since the school got over and she joined a college 1.5 hrs from her house. And when we do it s mostly catching up.She does stuff with her bf although he lives the same distance away as me. 5 minutes away. She gives him bday presents. But not to me. Just A facebook status. She gets embarrassed abt it saying she doesnt knw what to get me. I dont really bring this up much coz I dont wanna hurt her or cause any drama. I hate drama. It s not abt the gifts. It s abt the effort. She has got great friends in college. She posts a status saying missing these friends with them in pic if she doesnt see them for 2 days but no such thing for me. She has changed a bit. I dont knw. I just dont feel the warmth i used to a year ago. I get it. She is busy in her life and I give her space. I never ask for anything. I always understand. Never fight. She is the only true friend I got. Am I overreacting? |

We were inseparable until he changed schools, and we still hung out but it slowly became less and less. Now I just started school at a new school and guess who s in two of my classes? He is. He keeps smiling and looking at me, then we were in a group together for math, and it seemed like we instantly became friends again. We act very similar, and have some of the same hobbies ( playing video games, and sports, and our personalities are alike.) It feels like we have to start over because I remeber us playing and being little kids together but I doubt he does. Plus it would sound creepy if I just told him that I remember us being best friends since we were babies but u had to change schools. (We re both 13, so it s only been 6 years.) Do you think he remebers? Or should I just not say anything and let it go from there? |

It has never gone missing just this time it was on my desk and I think my friend took it and pawned it or something . Posted: 20 Sep 2015 11:28 AM PDT People think my friend (A) is gay, so when my friend (B) asked and I said that he has a girlfriend I was clarifying that my friend (A) wasn't gay to my other friend (B). Later that day I found out that A and his girlfriend were having problems, and he asked me not to tell anyone about his girlfriend yet. I said of course, completely forgetting I told B. A found out I told B, and I explained why. He was cool with it, but now when I text B, he replies with very short and snappy responses. And it says he's read my texts but hasn't responded. Is B mad at me for whatever reason? |
