Question: How much do wedding planners make? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 07:45 PM PDT How much do they make and how often do they work? Would it be able to support a family of 7? I want to be a Wedding planner/photographer but also go to school for cosmetology. And want to have 5 kids. So what would the salary be? |
Question: What are some clean, stripperless bachelor party ideas? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 06:17 PM PDT I have a few ideas of my own, one being camping for the weekend; but I thought to explore some other ideas I may not have thought about. I wanted to do something fun, but my parameters for what is and isn't available feel sort of narrow. My friend is getting married and is fairly conservative. We already agreed to no strippers; that was the easy part. But his other groomsmen are very conservative as well from what I understand, and range are aged 17, 20, and 25. I don't think there should be a problem with alcohol (as if we went out to get drinks or something or a meal) but I don't think it should be something centered around it because 2 (total of 5 groomsmen including me who would be forced to sit and watch or be Designated Drivers, and who has fun just sitting and watching? But I wanted to do something obviously fun, but also something that wouldn't cause anybody to be sidelined because they didn't want to or straight up couldn't participate. So I turned to the good ole people of the yahoo answers for guidance and suggestions. Oh and I didn't want it to be crazy expensive so that it would be affordable to them if they are willing to contribute or to me if I ended up footing the bill for this all for some reason. |
Question: Is it alright to wear white at a wedding if its themed? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 04:11 PM PDT My cousin is getting married soon, he says that the theme of the wedding is wine colors. Is it ok if I put on a sort of greek traditional dress with a gold lion belt and gladiator sandals? Also, I heard that the bride is going to wear purple. |
Question: What is the significance of a two-piece engagement ring? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 03:13 PM PDT I've been looking around for some engagement rings and I've come across some rings that come with two pieces that fit together and engagement rings that come with matching bands that fit right. What is the significance of this? Is it like one part is used for the engagement and the other part is given at the wedding? I'd like to know. |
Question: $25 gift card for wedding gift for people I don't directly know? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 03:07 PM PDT Is a $25 gift card enough of a gift to gibe to a couple I have only met once and don't really know? It is my boyfriend's cousin's wedding, and my boyfriend's family is giving them a gift of their own but I feel cheap not bringing anything at all to the wedding. So, is a $25 gift card enough? |
Question: Is it bad etiquette to invite more people to the bachelor party than to the groomsmen.? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 02:14 PM PDT I'm the best man, and was throwing a bachelor party for the groom. Since he and his soon to be in laws (who happen to make up a few of the other groomsmen) are fairly conservative, I was going to do something simple like a weekend camping trip. I was sorta tempted to invite an old high school buddy of ours (more mine than the groom's) as well, but I did not want to overstep boundaries or do somethign that is a no no in bachelor party tradition. Even though it wasn't going to be much, I was also going to ask the other groomsmen to pitch in for the cost of things as well. This is fairly normal as well, right, or not really? |

Question: Have to change bachelorette party plans? Help!? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 11:58 AM PDT I'm the maid of honor for my best friend and planned a dinner/drinks/club night for the bachelorette party. She called me this morning saying she just found out she's pregnant. So obviously, for her, drinks are out. She also said she's been a little nauseous, so I don't really think dancing would be the best thing for her. We were all supposed to be going out on Saturday. It's the only day we all have free this weekend, so we want to stick with that. Can I have some ideas for anything that would work, even though it's really last minute? |
Question: Planning a last minute bachelorette party? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 11:50 AM PDT I'm the maid of honor for my best friend. We had a night out last week for drinks with friends and family like she wanted to do. I got a text from her this morning saying "we're all in town on Saturday, let's go out". (She means just the bridal party this time). Any suggestions for a last minute bachelorette party? I'm not quite sure what the guys have planned for her fiance, so I don't really know what I should have in mind. Should it just be another night out for dinner and drinks? Or should I do something more? I have already contacted a limo company about renting. We're in the Chicago suburbs, so going into the city won't be a challenge. Any suggestions? |
Question: Birthday ideas during honeymoon? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 11:39 AM PDT My fiance's birthday is next Tuesday. We're getting married this Saturday, and will be leaving for Honolulu on Sunday morning. I don't know if he has anything in mind for Tuesday, but I want to plan something extra special for his birthday, since we both had to work on it last year, and were working at different times. We weren't home at the same time at all that day. Any ideas for something extra special? Anything is appreciated! We'll be in Honolulu, if that helps anyone |
Posted: 17 Sep 2015 11:31 AM PDT I need a song to use for the bride's section of their slideshow. I dont want anything cliche like "Girls just want to have fun" and nothing sentimental from either dad or mom. Please give me any possible suggestion you could think of. NOTE: If you dont have a suggestion to my specific question, then please dont bother replying giving me your opinion about the use of slideshows at weddings. That is NOT what I asked and dont care to know whether you enjoy them or not. |
Question: Nervous about the first time? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 10:59 AM PDT I'm getting married on Saturday and we agreed we're going to start trying for a baby right away. I'm really nervous about sex. Any advice? Serious answers please |

Posted: 17 Sep 2015 09:00 AM PDT Hi, my name. James. Ive been talking to my sweetheart about getting married. She says shed say yes whenever i ask and i plan on making it special. Were both in our early 20's. I cant afford the typical 1000$+ ring. I only have about a $100 budget. I tld her it wouldnt be the nicest but we could upgrade when we start making more money. Could you post links or places to be nice but affordable rings? Thank you Thanks guys. I was thinking of that too, but i wouldnt be "cheap" on the other things. We know we love eachother so price didnt matter. I just want opinions and where amd what i should look into. Thanks |

Question: What are some good websites where i can find nice, durable, solitaire engagement rings.? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 07:04 AM PDT |
Question: What engagement rings to buy? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 06:41 AM PDT So my boyfriend just recently asked me what I'm looking for an engagement ring. We are both young but he said he just wants to see what kind of rings I like for when he's ready he'll have an idea. I told him that I would still love the ring because he chose it but he insisted to know what kind. I then went to look online and found a ton of rings and it's so hard to choose! I just want an idea of what others like. Like selecting the cut, color, clarity, and the carat weight. Also, what kind of rings do you find pretty?.. I think I might go for either a round or princess cut one but not sure.. Oh, and he also wants to know where's the best place to buy it. He is just so confused and wants a little help from me but I don't know much either. |
Question: Dealing with extended family members, who weren't invited to our wedding? Posted: 17 Sep 2015 03:12 AM PDT I'm retired military and my fiance is still active duty. Due to a change in orders and time constraints, we chose to have a quiet wedding, with only our immediate family members. Now we're dealing with whiney extended family members, that weren't invited to our wedding. We've already explained why we chose not to invite them, and yet they are "hurt" by our selfishness. We weren't being selfish. We didn't have the time, money or wilingness to plan a big wedding. They should all consider that sometimes those in the military, don't always have the luxury of planning a fairy tale day. We wanted a quiet wedding, and we loved our day. We just wish they would be happy for us. |
