Question: Should i go to Homecoming/Prom? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 11:20 AM PDT Senior in High school Never had a girlfriend, I'm a shy person, who tends to stay in his little world of a bubble. I'm afraid to go to homecoming, because i don't wanna spent the whole night by myself. As well, I'm extremely shy to ask a girl a girl out for Homecoming/Prom. I've been told numerous times from a weird friend of mine and my parents that i should go.But i don't wanna go, because i want to avoid the embarrassment of being all alone. This has already happen to me once, n 8th grade. where i went alone; and spent the whole time alone. Got made fun of for the rest of the year. worst time of my life. So what should i do. Should i go, any advice? |
Question: Is my friend being sexually abused? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 10:58 AM PDT My friend says that another friend has been rape and almost committed suicide while at college. What is odd with the story is that this "friend" said he wanted to have sex with him. ( I don't believe the other guy is gay at all). So they did. They both didn't like it and none like sex. Plus my friend has a relationship with another person. Possible threesome??? My friend told me not to tell any one that he had sex with this other guy or what happened. That made me feel headsup. ---Worried |

Question: Am I wrong and trying to change him or is he wrong? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 08:52 AM PDT I m always complaining to m boyfriend about him cussing. We were in a conversation and he told me "you always pick the worst fcking days to do something" and I said don t cuss at me! He immediately got mad saying that he s tired of me saying he s cussing at me. He said there s a difference in cussing at me and just in a conversation with me. I told him regardless I don t like it. He says that s who he is and I m trying to change him. Both our daughters were in the room and I stated he doesn t need to cuss at me in front of them either. He said I m just using them as an excuse. I asked him does he cuss at his mom on a daily basis and he said he has when she makes him mad. I said ok so only when she makes u mad so u just wouldn t cuss during every conversation with her so why do so with me? I just feel he shouldn t use the language at me all the time and in front of the kids. He said he s not wrong. And I feel I m right |
Question: Texting & occasionally with a married man but you don't know his wife. Inappropriate? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 08:41 AM PDT I've asked a question similar to this before but I am very confused? If a young woman is 25 & her and a married guy thats 40 text back and forth, mind you they are not co-workers or family but they both having a few common interests. He befriended her on Facebook and they've kept in contact off and on for 2-3 years. They have flirted and he's even told her that her energy would be hard to forget about and she intrigues him but it would not be appropriate to let the "friendship" become physical but he's also mentioned he'd help her with bills and even said something about going to her apartment a few times (I'm assuming not with his wife). He would sometimes text her good morning and if she feels bad he'd say hope she feels better. Just seems like there are more than friendship feelings here. He's even told her she knows there's love between them & that she'd be his type if he wasn't marry. But if not interested in anything but friendship why hasn't the wife been introduced and why hasn't the young woman been invited over...? From what I know the girl has a boyfriend that she has been with for about a year and a half. I am the wife and we have young children..... I also found a text where he said I'm coming over, she turned him down, and then he said he was joking he'd never come to her house that late. He'd say things like it'll be good to see you if he knows they may be in the same vicinity .... |
Question: 33 year old son moves back in......? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 07:28 AM PDT to his Grandmothers house. He s on the lamb from jail, having left De Lancy St. in S.F. early. He s moved back in to his Grandmothers house and all he does is bring girl after girl in and hole up with them all day, doesn t help do any work around the place (17 acres of property). I, (his mother) told him last night he had to get rid of the girl that is in the bedroom with him now and not do this anymore. He argued then agreed to my terms. I was not a good parent when I was young and only had him with me till he was 10. I guess what I m saying is I don t know how to be the parent (at this age) and lay down the law. |
Question: We have neighbors that always ask for rides? How can i be polite and say no and end this.? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 07:11 AM PDT So i live in goverment housing. Some of us are more poor than others and some people living here dont have cars. We have 2 different neighbors that keep asking for rides. I Feel bad because the one lady has 2 kids no job, no spouse helping, one of her kids has autism and she has no car. The other lady that keeps asking me has 4 kids and no car and no job but has a spouse. We do live close to stores and I even walk to them weekly. These 2 ladies talk to each other on a daily bases. Recently between the 2 of them they have been asking for rides almost daily. I told them I had no problem with them tagging along when i make my run to walmart one day out of the week but i didnt say id be a shuttle. Since I see these two ladies daily how can i put a stop to this crap. They dont hang out with me the only time they speak to me is when they want something. I have gave them an old phone, an old extra tv i had, toys for the kids and lots more. I let one of them borrow some MR. Green cleaner and the bottle was almost full becuase we had an inspection the next day. I got the bottle back and it was empty. I also let them use my bike and they brought it back broken and didnt ever fix it. I have learned my lesson about letting them borrow anything else but how do I make them stop asking for rides in a nice and polite way since i see them everday. I also think the two ladies talk crap about me behind my back becase she says these little comments. Im also starting to get a gut feeling, my husband as well, that if we leave the house we fear our house getting broke into and our stuff being stolen. I go to school so i have a laptop to complete my online classes that they can take and a tv and stuff. What can I do about this. We cant move and we have been here longer than these 2 ladies put together. I cant tell the landlord becuase I live right beside them. How do I cut these people off in a polite and nice way since i do see them daily. |

Question: Is it normal texting your girlfriend every 2-3 hours when you are with your friends? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 04:54 AM PDT My girlfriend and i live together. She always complains that when i am with my friends i don't text her. She also expects me to update her as to what we are doing and where we are. If i say i am going over to my friend's place, but don't mention that we went to eat together, she would complain. She tells me it is normal texting every 3-4 hours and telling her what am i up to. Is that normal? Should i do it? I think that it is a sign that she depends on me and on a constant contact. Or am i being wrong? |
Question: Neighbor advice please.? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 04:19 AM PDT Trying to figure out how to ease my neighbors anger after having a fall out with my husband over our cat. I went over and apologized for the fall out, took care of the cat problem and offered to reimburse for any cost he had to fix the problem. Told them to talk to me from now on if there is a problem. I was as kind as could be but they just keep being haters. He bad mouths my husband to people and more or less treats us like he's way above us. I'm just not sure at this point what can be done. We aren't moving though. Love the neighborhood aside from living next door to the haters. |
Question: Any ideas what could be wrong with my brother in the morning? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 03:57 AM PDT Okay, this isn't as simple as it sounds, and it isn't a stupid question. My brother has a mild case of holoprocencephaly. No facial deformities, but no frontal lobe division. He can't talk or walk yet, but is progressing daily and should be able to talk in the next year. He is thirteen, five years younger than I am. He can easily tell us he is uncomfortable. The last several weeks when he wakes up for school,he is fine the moment he wakes up. BBut the moment we go to put him in his wheelchair he begins to cry, real tears. He can't tell us what is wrong. We try and try to figure it out but just can't. Once we roll him outside to get on the bus he is fine. I doubt it is school related, since he is happy to get on the bus. I was thinking maybe a Charlie Horse, but he's even uncomfortable after standing. The wheelchair fits him perfect. Maybe it is just he doesn't want to be woken up? We really are trying to figure it out but it's just impossible. Ideas? He has a talking device on his iPad but doesn't really comprehend how to say where he hurts. |
Question: My girlfriend barely won't talk to me? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 03:40 AM PDT I've been friends with my girlfriend for 4 years before we got together a few months ago. She has been struggling mentally and tried pushing me away multiple time but i always stayed. A few days after every time she tried, she came back and said she was sorry about it. Last night she got really pissed at me telling she is "broken". I was asking what i could do to help her and she replied "you can't!!!!!!" and she wont tell me why she is broken. Now she is just answering in short sentences as possible and taking really long time to reply I cant leave her because i literally dont have anybody else that cares about me. Anybody have any idea on what to do? Should i just ignore her for awhile? Talk to her like we normally do? she is my everything |
Posted: 28 Sep 2015 11:48 PM PDT Ok, lately when someone insults me or says something that offends me then after they do it before I can say anything, they cowardly block me.. I don't say anything to them, nothing! i'm always polite and yet they just do this to me. I get so fuming angry and I don't let go of it for days even weeks! I hate being insulted for no reason, this only happens to me and nobody else. I hate it, what can I do to just let it all go? how can I mentally let go of people doing this to me? |

Question: Neighbors wife is unfriendly, husband is, what should I do? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 11:16 PM PDT A new couple moved into the neighborhood recently. They have a young daughter. The wife is very unfriendly and will not speak to any women in the neighborhood even if they say hi to her. The daughter will not either. However the husband is very friendly and has invited my kids over to play in his backyard even though his daughter and wife either were not home or were inside the house not partaking. As a single mom I declined the invite however another single mom in the neighborhood went over there were her son and remarked to me that I was silly for not doing so and called the man's wife a B and said she didn't care what she thought. Did I do the right thing or was I over reacting? |
Posted: 28 Sep 2015 10:59 PM PDT I knew this girl for a while. She seemed to like me, I didn't like her at first, but grew to like her with time. We talked a lot. I am a college student, and we were just getting going near finals week. She tried to call me a lot, when I had projects and studying to do. I never ignored her calls, but they sometimes dropped and I wasn't always super-talkative, being busy and all. We had been out together several times. I had been to her place to hang out. Things seemed to be going pretty well. She was set to move to a new Uni, because this one sucks. It was 4 hours away, which bummed me out a bit. I joked about it twice, but tried not to make a big deal about it. She has a medical condition, which one day had flared-up, so she stayed home in bed all day. I thought, being the nice guy I am, and wanting to see her, I would bring her some things that night to help her feel better. She accepted, and I came over. We talked about various things, and her move came up. I am not one to worry about the future too much, usually, but I was interested in how she would handle the move. She was working 4 jobs at the time to get through school without debt. I asked her, since the new school is almost definitely more expensive, if she was going to replace the two local jobs. She answered "no," she would have plenty of hours between the other two jobs. I left it at that and did not pry further. There was no tone I could tell in her or my voices. I thought all was normal. Over the coming weeks though, I received significantly less texts, no calls, and she was busy on 3 dates I set-up. We worked together, and our talks in person seemed normal. I knew she was busy though, so I understood (4 jobs, finals, and moving; Holy Hell!). I assumed it would all normalize after the move. I texted her once in three days after the move with no response. One night, I was out drinking with friends, had a little much, and texted her again. It was a reasonable text, "hey, how is it going? Wanted to hear from you;" no response for hours (but a read receipt). So I got a little angry, as drunks tend to do, and sent her "You know, cutting off communications is a really juvenile way to break-up." This lead to these replies (approximately, as I don't remember exact wording): Her: "I stopped liking you that night you came over. You had the nerve to question my financial stability. That was SO RUDE! You have no right to ask me that! I have worked 4 jobs for years, paid for my own car and school with no student loans." Her: "You had no right to ask me that! You know, I was told that is just the way you think. I gave you the benefit of doubt, but I am done." Me: "I am sorry for saying what I said. I never meant it like that! Is this really how this ends? Are we done?" Her: "Yes" Normally, I wouldn't obsess too much over this. It is kind of a stupid reason to breakup, especially without talking about it, but that's just it, it is a stupid reason. I can't convince myself that it isn't a made-up reason and that she never really liked me at all; that the whole thing was a sham. I seriously cared about someone in a way I haven't felt in years, and she just cast me aside for one small thing? I have experienced heartbreak (as we all have), I went into this feeling pretty bleak and hopeless, but she gave me hope that I might have a shot at happiness. By the time I felt safe though, this happened. I am assuming this was a BS excuse, and she really never liked me. This line of logic is severely crippling. Whatever confidence I had is shattered and I have dipped into the worst depression of my life. I am suicidal. I need some fresh perspective. |

Question: I told my boyfriend I love him, he didn't say it back....but....? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 10:41 PM PDT At the end of the conversation he called me love....exact quote " sweet dreams love". It took me awhile to say it in the first place, we've both been hurt in our last relationship, his was more recent than mine, so I get the not saying it back and he shows me his love by doing things for me or taking me out etc. He's a fantastic guy. I just felt a little bummed by the lack of response. I know in time he will, but what does it mean when he calls me love? |

Question: Raped several years ago? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 07:12 PM PDT I was raped several years ago when I was 12 and I'm just now having nightmares about it. I've never had them before now. Question: How do I know I won't regret reporting my parents for child abuse? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 05:47 PM PDT I don't know why I feel this way. It's a sort of warm and cold feeling thinking about reporting them at the same time. I feel as if foster care might be the crappiest thing for me and that I'll end up unhappy for years, regretting my decisions and feeling horrible for what might happen to my parents. Can you please answer these questions to help me? How do I know I won't regret reporting my parents to foster care? What's foster care like? I mean, what were you're experiences in it (for US people)? How did you know when to report the abuse? Were you as extremely nervous about it as a I am (I can't even hear the phrase "child abuse" without getting nervous about somebody finding out)? |
Question: Why does this guy want to fight me? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 05:23 PM PDT Hi, I'm a 33 year old man, but I am totally confused. I sell art through numerous galleries and tattoo parlours, but today something kicked off and has got me totally freaked out?? I'm friends with the owner (and yes he;s been a bit weird in the past sending me random facebook msgs and memes) but today he just called me a moron on my page and told me t "pick your stuff up asshole. I don't want yourr ******* **** here no more". When I asked him whats wrong he started this tirade about him being a vet (army) and I was pissing him off. the only thing I can think of, that we would even know about, is an artpiece by another artist I put on my page of toy soldiers which were missing legs and commiting suicide. It was avtually to raise money for vets, but I don't think he got it. Nevertheles, I had to take friends round as he was calling me a pussy and telling me he would crush my skull.??? I'm now getting weird facebook msgs (even though we are not friends) and calls from unknown numbers. I don't want to fight him as its childish and I have a wife and kid to look after. What do you all think? |
Question: Why is she doing this? Please Answer? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 05:19 PM PDT I'm a guy, I have a girlfriend and we've been together for 5 months. She's my first girlfriend because I'm nice, poor, hate myself, wear glasses, ugly, have CF so I'm infertile, out of shape but I try very hard at gym to get into shape but so far only my arms look for, and have a 40 year lifespan. I've been rejected twice, both rejections happened in only a two year span. She's by far the most beautiful, and sweetest girl I've ever seen. At first I thought I had no chance, but I asked her out anyways and she smiled and said yes. She won't hold my hand in public, but she'll kiss me, hold my hand, etc all the time in private with me. Yesterday I talked to her about it and she told me she wasn't embarrassed. Why won't she hold my hand, kiss me or do anything like that in public? |

Question: Should I report to my school about being harassed on campus? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 04:59 PM PDT should i report to a counselor or security about being harassed on campus? i tried to just let it go and ignore it but it's starting to make me feel uncomfortable on campus. If i do report it to campus security, what do you think they will do? again, i tried to just ignore it and not say anything back. i did nothing to bother or provoke anyone either. So who can i report it to ? At my school, people act obscene and there still is harassment on campus. People will harass each other and have no etiquette, the students even show racial discrimination and have even cussed out the teacher. And this is happening at a community college! The students there are super rude and immature and the population is mostly black and Hispanics. I've seen the students make some racist comments and laughed at international students or laughed at those who had an accent. I'm so sick of it and i just kept on dealing with it and ignoring it. i tried to just let it go but they still continue this behavior and these are adults. Any suggestions? @ K. really? But this does happen and it happens a lot. These students are so immature and sick people. This shouldn't be happening and at a community college @ Bert Weidemeier If you read my post, I did absolutely nothing to provoke them and when they bother me, i ignore it and don't even retaliate, not once. so how am I even at fault? No one has a right to harass or bully anyone for any reason, especially if I did nothing wrong! i never even spoke to them, also it has nothing to do with the way i look or the way i dress either, i see people wearing very inappropriate clothes, revealing clothes, guys sagging their pants. This is not highschool, and this doesn't just happen to me, they do it to other people too, it's also because of the area, people there are more confrontational, that doesn't make it okay or give them permission to harass people or spread hate speech. i want helpful and respectful answers please, instead of people posting negative comments about me when they don't even know the situation. What is something i can do that can effectively do to deal with this? Some people have reported being stalked on campus. This shouldn't even be happening at school. |

Question: Can you offer psychiatric help? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 03:37 PM PDT I have a friend. He's only 19 but he has a colorful life story. When he was only 16, his mentally ill and abusive father kicked him out of his household because he had "religious" issues with the relations his son had with a girl. Once on the streets, my companion quit school and worked two jobs. Once he saved some money he contacted his sister, 25 years old, and made arrangements to live with her and her husband and 3 kids. He was 18. Soon after acclimating to the new environment and a new job in construction his brother-in-law offered him, he noticed a strange attraction, a sexual attraction to his niece, 5 years old. He tells me that he looks at her sometimes and fantasizes about her and imagines her touching herself and smiling at him. He says he can't resist the will to touch her legs and that her scent is intoxicating. He even steals her panties to smell them and masturbate. He says that when his sister leaves the kids with him, as soon as his niece falls asleep, he positions her and touches her softly in her intimate area. He even attests that she reacts to it and enjoys it in her sleep. This gives him sexual stimulation. He says that everytime he thinks about her in that way he feels remorse and regret. He says his guilt kills him and that he can't live with the idea that he could get caught or worse, lose his control and hurt his niece. What should I do?? Please help, I'm concerned for my friend and his ignorant sister and niece. |

Question: Rape nightmare from 11 years ago? Posted: 28 Sep 2015 08:30 AM PDT I was sexually abused 11 years ago. I don't know if it was actually rape because he used his fingers, but it still hurt a lot. I haven't thought about it in several years, but last night I had a nightmare about it. What does this mean? Is this a form of PTSD? |
