im really short, (4 5) and every day im not kidding my friend will tell me im short 15 times and its starting to get so annoying, like oh I have not realized, and she says its a bad thing to be short. How do I deal with this and what should I say next time? ^ Basically what I'm troubled about. Her sister is a freshman while I'm a sophomore. Let's say my new friend is 'A' and her sister is 'E'. A is a transfer junior while her sister, E is a freshman. I'm friends with A because she eats lunch with us everyday since last week (school just started btw). I think my group and A are getting along but I still haven't been friends with her sister, E. I'm not friends with A because I like her sister (in fact, I only started to admire E). How should I become E's friend? Do you think it would be easier to approach her since I'm friends with her sister? I only have one class with A and E so it's quite hard. I live in a town in Wyoming, and I am a freshman. For some reason, most everyone is rude to me and always blows me off, and I feel like there is something wrong with me. I don't know why people treat me like this because I am very nice and I try to treat people kindly, but people just treat me like ****, and I'm getting sick of it. I had lots of friends when I lived in Oregon, and people seemed nicer there, more accepting. so my group of four friends are celebrating a birthday together at a lounge and i wasn t invited. I m feeling hurt as I considered them good friends for the last 3 years (we all met around the same time). We all celebrated each persons birthday together. I have a big group of best friends. There is 11 of us in our group and we all rent a house together besides 3 of us and go to the same university. Well on of my female friends has been the girl I have had a crush on since high school. Well her and another on of my close friends that I live have been talking more and standing close and hanging out alone outside of the group. Everyone except a couple of the girls and another of my male friends went camping 2 weekends ago and she the only other girl there had their own tents. Well while he and I and another friend were in ours, he got up and left super quiet in the middle of the night for hours but was back in the tent when I woke up. I don't know what to do. I'm in love with her but the two of them are sneaking around together. It makes my heart sink every time I see them talking or she comes to the house and only spends time around him. They are both my friends though so I don't know what to do.

My bestfriend is constantly "joking" around with me and calling me ugly, it's sort of a recent thing and I think she understands it hurts me but she keeps doing it. I recently got accepted into a very difficult college major consisting of me and ten other classmates. I WILL BE WITH THESE CLASSMATES FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS OF MY LIFE. I have no choice but to take all of our classes together and I have essentially have no chance of meeting any new people. We had started out with around 14, but within half a year four people have dropped out because of the intensity of the program. Four of which just happened to be my closest friends at this new program, and now I am loosing my mind. The other ten people I assure you, are certifiably insane and antisocial, half of them do not speak fluent English enough to communicate and the other half have had the audacity to PUBLICALLY express sentiments of racism and sexism which I do not particularly appreciate. Being the only female in my class does not help either. I have taken to reading books lately but I wish to know what one is to do to improve morale in these situations. I feel like I have been imprisoned and it's very difficult to befriend these people without feeling pangs of ingenuity. Thank you, any advice would help. (And I cannot drop out.)

I'm sooo confused I've been wanted to overcome my shyness since January but not has happened. I'm literally the shyest person there is... I don't know how to make friends or how to make them. I'm 17 and this is my first year in a new school. I've actually never been to a public school before so It has been a new experience and I haven't made many friends. In my last hour there is a kid who talks to me and is very friendly. We started talking more and more about lots of topics (His boyfriend, steven universe, nail polish, marching band...etc) All pretty normal. Occasionally he would say something kind of weird about being able to read peoples emotions and auras and stuff. I wasn't too creeped out by it. I agreed thinking it might have to do with some of the family issues he had going on at home. We started messaging online when out of the blue he asked me a really weird question. If I had ever had a " out of body experience" I told him not really and he told me something really bizarre. He told me that he was from a magical world and that I was from that world too. He said it was called Farplain (which I found out by google that its a level on World of Warcraft) He said some other bull about magical powers and stuff and that we can both use magical powers. I swear i'm not lying and I want to know why this kid is doing this? Does he hate me? Does he have mental problems? please help!

Everyday I get bullied because of it, not just by kids at school but by adults and people in my own family! I've known my best friend for most of my life and we've always been close, but ever since we started high school I've been socially awkward and it's affecting our friendship. In short, I don't think I'm the ideal best friend (we are basically opposites), I'm quiet and introverted and he is loud and outgoing and I need help, not only with the friendship but with my social awkwardness as well. I can barely hold a conversation and I just want to be a better friend but Idk where to start.

I'm a freshamn in highschool right now, and at the end today I saw my friend and decided to say hi to him. He was with a group of friends of his own and I walked up and said "I have seen the end of the world! It is terrifying!". The "leader" of my friend's group was basically like you know him? My friend didn't respond but kind of chuckled a little. Then the leader basically called me ugly and said to f*** off basically. Now, I'll be talking with my so called "friend" later, but this is my question: what should I have done in that situation? What i basically did was just kind of say "ok..." not really caring and walked away, but it leave me feeling kind of bad. One part of me said I shouldn't be wimpy and maybe told the leader fiercely to leave me alone, and another part says that I should've did what I did and just walked away. The problem is I don't want to act fierce and come off as a bully like the leader was, but at the same time I don't want to seem like I can be pushed around. What should I have done or do if this happens again?

So I am 14. Turning 15 soon. And I stayed the night at a friends house with my sister last weekend. I asked to go this weekend. I was invited. They're reason was because I stayed last weekend. But I was invited to come back? I don't see the issue with the problem. Is my grandmother just being a controllive *** over my social life that I just built?

There was a fight the other day between 2 kids at school. Here's what happened; Kid number one threw a punch and hit kid two straight in the face. Last year during my freshman year of highschool I became friends with this new girl. I felt like she was kind of snobby at first. But then I got to know her and we became great friends. As the days went on she began to change. She became more popular, doesn't really text me first and got a boyfriend. This year she joined 9 clubs. In one of the clubs she joined I run for secretary. That's the only club I run for. She's running for office in almost every club she's doing and she decided to run against me! I only do 3 clubs. I'm thinking of doing 3 more. Today I told her I couldn't attend a meeting for another club we do because I was going to English honor society. She said ok. She sucks at English and she showed up to the first meeting! She walked in with some other friends and said hey I'm here. I'm in the English 11 honors class. I just want to do one club she doesn't do! But she does them all and tries to one up me. She has also asked me before how many friends I have when she knows I only have a handful of friends. I was her only friend when she first moved! When something goes wrong in her life she gives me an attitude and says she has stuff going on. But I have problems in my life too and I don't give her an attitude whenever something goes wrong in my life. She refers to me as one of her best friends. But I feel we used to be good friends and now we are just acquaintances. I feel like she is kind of using me to add to her list of people she calls friends.

I was at school a few days ago and noticed a cute girl. I asked a question on Yahoo a few hours ago about this and it encouraged me to man up and talk to her. We had a shelter in place and I made a joke about it with her. But I want to get to know her more and want to approach her in a more "civilized" way. The worst part is she is the nicest person! BUT it doesn't stop me from noticing the fact that her personality just irritates me so much! For a lot of reasons... Someone keeps spreading rumors about me and despite the fact that I keep telling them to stop this person seems to think it's funny and continues. How should I (discretely) give this person a taste of their own medicine?

I feel like I'm always listening to them, but they never want to fully listen to me. For example my one friend and I have been really close for a really long time. She's good at giving advise, but I feel like she never fully listens to my problem before she goes giving advise. I'll be the first to admit, some of my problems can take a little bit to explain. But that's because I've been holding my problems for so long that they just keep building up. I always feel like I'll sit there and listen to my friends talk about some problem or the same thing over and over, but they never really want to listen to my problems. I have one friend who is willing to listen to my problems. But to be honest, he never gives advise. My problem is usually that I've been holding it in so long that when I come out with it I need advise too. I have another friend who doesn't really listen in the first place and then when you go to talk about it again (even when you don't realize you've already talked about it. xD) she just says something like "You've already talked about this before" "I've already heard this." But she'll go on and on about the same thing other times. I have no one to really talk to and get good advise from. I feel like none of my friends listen or when they do they never give advise so I continue on with the same problem that I started with. What should I do? I feel hopeless. There was this one girl I worked with and when ever she didn't want to listen to whatever you were saying she would just get up and walk away. Legit. But then she would complain when other people did that to her or if nobody would listen to her. One time I kind of mentioned something I was going through and she was all like "Oh, well I'm here if you ever want to talk about it." But when I did feel like talking about it she would just walk away when I was mid sentence.

So I started at high school a few weeks ago all alone with none of my friends.. And then i became really good friends with this girl sitting beside me and al of her friends.. And suddenly a fight came up and we were not friends for like a week or so:/ But now we are friends again, and we sit together, but its not like before.. How can I make her friends to like me again and her to talk much more to me and be interested to be friends with me again?? I really need help, I am SO down because of this

When I was younger I used to be friends with everyone and I had like different bestfriends. Then she failed a class so I lost one, because she changed school. But it was pretty easy for me to get a new best friend, But she moved to another country. And again it was pretty easy for me to make to 2 best friends. But then I skipped a grade, and went to a new school. There it was harder for me, the 1st year I was so shy I didnt make any friends. Then the 2nd and 3rd year that I was there I was able to finally get close enough friends, but not everyone were my friends, and I had no best friend. And then I changed school again and lost touch with them, the new school I went to I had 1 good friend but not that close and not a best friend, the others were merely acquaintances. Then I changed school for my senior year, And I got a good group of friend (8) but they werent that close to me, except 1. After that I went to medical school at 17 years old and there everyone were in their 20s. I couldnt make friends there everyone were acquaintance, up until I have 1 more or less friend and she is way older then me, and its been 3 years. What's wrong with me? I know that I am shy but now I can barely think of anything to talk about to people if it s not about school. Everyone have now their own clique and I dont know what to do. I feel like I have anxiety when I dont know what to talk about or how to respond and I usually dont know what to say to people. What should I do? I only ask because she has history of getting a little bi polar with her attitudes, and gets angry easily sometimes. I use Whatsapp, which for those who don't know, is an app for texting and calling for free basically. Anyway, I texted her today two messages when I got to the place we were going to meet up at, I also called because she was 20 min. Late, no answer. Then I checked and two min after it said it was read. But 40 min. Later I called and she answered saying she just got home and was ready to come and swore she wasn't home before and she has no data to use Internet when gone. So why did it deliver and been read if she was not already home? Is she hiding something? Because the phone doesn't lie.

About a week ago my good friend got a new girlfriend and now he's spending all his time with her. Usually we spent every 7th period together (since we both don't have a class that period) and also lunch. But now he is always with his girlfriend and we never see each other at school. we rarely text anymore either. He says he wants to me to sleep over next weekend, but I have a feeling he might cancel. I'm 15 and a girl and recently my friends have been friendly with this girl who is nice enough but can be unbearably annoying. She barges into conversations and can sometimes be insulting and offensive without meaning to. She also can be deliberately annoying, like punching people (not hard but enough to hurt) and stealing everyone's books for a "joke". I don't want to talk to my friends about it or try and drive this girl away because she doesn't really have any other friends. But how do I deal with someone who is so desperately annoying?

Its very hurtful, I took care of this friend like a sister. She has done some very hurtful things to me. We were best friends as kids....through high school, the boys did like me a bit more, well in her eyes...she def got around more than I did. I was a virgin until I was almost 18. We moved to another state together and she married and moved further away. She is doing it again..I dont know her now, newer husband...but she is telling everyone I am trying to break them up...They live in another state and I have never met him...she thinks I am more popular than her...and gets jealous that I am getting more attention...but truth is, I dont...I think she has changed too much for me to keep having a relationship with and she may need some counseling...she is spreading this all over on social media, to old teachers, friends and family members.....is this a sickness and what should I do, she keeps contacting me...there's more...but its on the lines of what I have told you already. I keep my contact with her minimum...because I think she is stuck in her teenage years and I feel like an idiot talking about it...but I genuinely do care about her. I just dont want to confide in my family or friends because of the immaturity of it....she is very smart book wise...but this is ridiculous and has gone past the point of petty jealousy...she is actually trying to sabotage my reputation and marriage anonymously....I dont feel I know her and I dont want this in my life...the problem is, a lot of our mutual friends believe her because she is doing all the talking...and I am not saying a word because I dont want that drama.. I'm a sophmore and I did it last year. The thing is it's five days a week from 2:30-5:30 for 3 months, a few Saturday rehearsals and one dress rehearsal that goes from 5:00-10:00. I don't like the director. I don't think she likes me. She used to because last year when I auditioned she asked me to join chorus. She just kind of started to dislike me for whatever reason and I can see that she doesn't have a high opinion towards me because of her attitude towards me. I don't particularly like the play we are going to do. But I feel she would think of me as a quitter if I don't do it and I'm in chorus so I see her every other day. I love the members of the cast and have such a great time with them. I don't mind staying after late sometimes. But other days it drains me. I'm in two honors classes. I already do 3 clubs and might do two more. I'm running for secretary for student council.

Right so I'm friends with a couple of guys but they are also a part of a group. And that group of people, mostly guys, are always rude and really f****** mean. Like I would hang out with my two friends (also guys) and then the other guys in the group would start making comments like "oh look there's your best friend coming" or "why are you always here?" or "go away" and then at home i talk to my other two friends and usually they add this one dude who's ALWAYS making comments at me. (same as in school) Like i would do something and hes like "nobody cares" or something like that. I dont know.... Im way too emotional and i get it but its really frustrating me and its just.... I want some answers thats all. And I've never been mean to them. In fact, that one dude we talk to at home... When i girst met him i was nothing but nice to him but now hes just a ********. its a bit hard for me making new friends when everyone already have there groups. Like the guys i know are great an dont say anything but its one of the guys brothers and his friends that say **** whenever i even come over which is annoying and it gets to me because it starts making me think of the past

Okay so my best friend and I have been friends since 5th grade. We're 9th graders now. She's basically my only friend. (Sad but true. I'm just not very good at making friends.) Anyways, she's been blowing me off for this girl who she grew up with who just transferred to our school. She is in 10th grade. (Her name is Liz.) They're in geometry together and she's always talking to me about her. (When she does talk to me, that is.) I asked her if she was going to the homecoming dance and she said yeah and that she was going with some senior guy and Liz was going with his best friend. She kept saying how she can't wait for their "double date" and stuff. We'd planned on going together without dates, but now that's out the window I guess. She always hangs out with Liz now. I have asked her to do stuff every weekend since school started and she's always like, "Sorry I can't. Going camping with Liz and her family." Then last weekend they went to a concert together. Now this weekend, they're having a sleepover with other girls that I wasn't invited to. This one girl that's friends with my (ex?) best friend came up to me at lunch and asked if I was going to the sleepover this weekend. And I said "what sleepover?" And she goes, "Oh, (friend's name) didn't invite you? That sucks. Everyone else seems to be going. Sorry I said anything." Why is my best friend being like this?? Why wouldn't she invite me? And what makes this "Liz" so special anyway??

I'm a shy guy in his 20's who never been on a date before. So me and this girl go to the same art school, we're from same country and we started to talk more and more when we are at school .i advise her a lot and she told me once that my face makes people comfortable. I tell her that others girls look so jealous when she's around and that they always check her out , also guys seem jealous when they see me talking to her . I changed my phone, so i told her one time that i think i deleted her number ( i meant i lost but i used wrong word ) and she looked so disappointed and kept saying so you deleted my number , and i tried to explain what i meant and then showed her that her number is already saved and i was just trying to make sure . We were both in vacation and when we met we both told each other that we thought about each other. so today we texted and then she asked about my plan for tomorrow so i said nothing and asked about hers and she said nothing, i was so nervous to ask her to join me so i kept adding our mutual gay friend to make it sound more comfortable . she ended up saying just let me know what you decided for tomorrow. I wanna hang out with her but i don't know where , also i'm worried that i might lose her if i ask to hang out with her. she's my crush and i really like her so much but i don't know to to make the next step. Girls from our country avoid our guys so that makes me think she sees me as a close friend , but we both look so excited when we meet.. and we spend a lot of time talking about variety of things , also she might stay like for like 30 min after she finish her class just to talk to me. and she told me once to text her whenever i'm in school so we can talk . i really like her so much .

Okay so I go to school and I have quite a few friends there but on weekends or during school holidays it seems like I have no friends at all. My best friend is always bus. During the week she does drama twice, singing lessons and guitar and when she isn t at one of the classes she has to do her revision plan that her mum made her. I never see her at weekends because she is always either at her grans or her dads. I message my other friends from school and they reply but they never message me first. Whenever they do stuff together they never invite me. I kind of have the feeling that they don t really like me.

I was best friends with this other boy but he started to turn in to a prick and we started to have loads of arguments so we both sort of said that we didn't want to be as tight anymore because of all the arguments. But it's got worse recently. Now that we're not that good friends he's been really like cold and frosty and out to get me and has been behaving like even more of a prat, so we had another huge argument in which we weren't friends let alone best friends. He has now, however, popped up and said sorry and said he wants to be cool again. Now I don't want this issue to carry on for too long so I'm tempted to just say 'Okay' and leave it at that but the truth is I don't like him as a person anymore. He's become literally an idiot and I don't want him to think that I'm fine with him as I know he'll just carry on being a prat but if I try to tell him how much he's changed then he won't listen. I don't know what to say to him?

How come girls don't like getting groped or cat called?

I'm 28 and I still live at home with my parents. I met this guy online and I met up with him in person. I lied to my parents about why I was going to another state and they found out. I lied because I knew they would tell me I couldn't go. I want to go back and see him again but I know my parents will give me a hard time again. Is there a way that I can go without them finding out again? I just wish they would get off my back. They think I don't know anything or that I don't know what's important in life. I know having a career and going to college is important. Which is what I am working on now but I want to live my own life and do what makes me happy. I told my parents I was going to see my childhood friend she lives in a different state and they think I am lying about that but I'm not. However I was planning to go and see the guy again after I visit my friend. How can I keep my parents from finding out again? I am actually going to see my friend but I'm leaving my friend to go see the guy. My parents like to call me while I'm away. My parents put the house and taxes in my name for personal reasons so I just can't up and move. Will my parents find out I flew to another state after spending time with my bestfriend?
