Question: My husband won't let me go fishing and hunting with him and our sons. What should I do? Posted: 21 Sep 2015 03:32 PM PDT So my husband and I have two sons (ages 10 and 8). The eldest is a ditto copy of me. He prefers the indoors with books, movies, TV, etc. He still runs around in games like tag but otherwise he's mostly sedentary. My second son is more active. My husband believes that our sons should be outdoors more often as well as more active (for my eldest son anyway) so he wants to take them fishing and hunting to establish their connection with nature. The kids don't really have a choice in going (my eldest son is more bitter about this than my second son who doesn't really mind), however I'm not sure where I stand exactly. My husband knows I have no interest whatsoever in the outdoors and has long given up on trying to get me more involved with the outdoors. Normally, I would agree, but I feel compelled to go just to be with my eldest son who would feel better if I come along. However when i voiced this to my husband, I could tell he was incredibly reluctant. He says I would not enjoy myself and would ruin the entire trip by my complaining so I had best not come. I tried to get my eldest son out of it, but he refused to listen to reason saying it is important for him to come along. I know my eldest son will hate everything about it. He has no interest in animals and I don't think he will be able to deal with killing them, and of course his interest in nature is even less. What should I do? BTW my husband is also taking his older brother with him to make it a male bonding trip. |

Question: Opposite of a platonic relationship? Posted: 21 Sep 2015 03:24 PM PDT So, a platonic relationship would be one that's free of any sexual desire, right? What would you call a relationship in which you're attracted to someone in just about every where except for romantically? You're attracted to them sexually, you're attracted to their mind, you just don't have romantic feelings for them. Is there a category like that? |

Posted: 21 Sep 2015 12:43 PM PDT My cousin and his wife came to my moms house months ago with my aunt, when i greeted his wife she didn't say anything back to me and gave me a nasty glare and kept treating me hostile throughout the entire stay. She then only smiled at me and gave me eye contact when she was about to leave since everyone was around. i am really sensitive and really got hurt by this, and i really am tempted to message her on Facebook and find out why she did this to me and if she any problem with me. i know its silly and I should just get over it and not care and that time has passed but i have like an ocd problem and it really bothers me and want to know why she did that, she seems to be friendly to my other family except me, she treated me terrible and my cousin was so great neither, should i message her and get this problem fixed? i feel like if i dont do this then this and try and clear it up, it keep bugging me for the rest of my life, |
Posted: 21 Sep 2015 11:39 AM PDT We've been together for three years but lately I feel like everything I do is annoying him. We were watching a show the other day and it was really sad so I started tearing up and he rolled his eyes and asked why I had to be so dramatic and such a crybaby all the time. He has started telling me I am too old to be watching anime and that I need to grow up already. I like to write short stories and he had begun telling me that I need to stop wasting my time with something that will get me nowhere. I have always told him I loved him every day and he used to like that I did it. But the other day I said it and he just told me that it loses its meaning when you say it too much. It has even gotten embarrassing for me because I tried to kiss him before class and he just pushed my face away in front of his friends. I tried talking to him about it the other night and asked why he was acting different. He claims that he's not different that I'm just overly sensitive. I told him that I thought he was acting like an assh*le and he got angry and slapped me. I haven't seen him or talked to him since but he keeps calling and sending me messages saying he does still love me and that he's so sorry. The slapping isn't really what's bothering me but the fact that I dont think he loves me like I love him. Is it possible that something else can be stressing him out? I don't want to go back to him if he doesn't really want to be with me but if he didn't he wouldnt keep asking for me back right? |
Question: Possibly being framed? Posted: 21 Sep 2015 11:37 AM PDT So, I'm in class this morning and I get a text from my dad that says the family desktop's administrator account was deleted and that my account is the new one. Problem is, I never did anything to it, nor that I knew it was even like that until he texted me. He accuses me of being the one who changed it to my account over him always being paranoid I'm going to destroy something when it comes to technology (even though I take very good care of my devices). The thing is, I haven't touched the desktop in months nor do I need to since it's inferior to my own laptop, yet he still thinks I did it. Am I being framed? Or is there something else that may of caused this? |
Question: Send him flowers or not? Posted: 21 Sep 2015 11:13 AM PDT Please don't be rude. I really liked my therapist and he did too. We both admitted but we both are married. (I am getting a divorce). He is married but not happy as far as I know. I stopped seeing him 4 months ago. I asked him out he said no because it would not work out. I really feel like sending him flowers. Should I? Should I send him flowers but not have my name on it? I just miss him so much. Thanks for your opinion. |

Question: He hates me but won't leave me alone? Posted: 21 Sep 2015 11:06 AM PDT I had sex with this 41 year old man and I'm 28. He and I aren't in a relationship I met him online and we met up and had sex multiple times. I was the one who initiated sex with him from the start. I notice that he also follows women on Instagram. I just don't get why he watches me on Facebook when he follows women on Instagram. Sometimes he'll see me talking to someone on my Facebook page. Then later on maybe a few days later he will make a post on comment related to what he saw me talking about with someone else. Why does he watch me on Facebook when he doesn't like me? He made me admin of one of his groups I don't get this guy. I told him that I may need his help with my music class he said ok. I told him that I appreciate everything he does for me and he sent me a picture of a flower. I'm 28 and he's 41. He does talk to me about other things that aren't related to sex. Sometimes he will message me telling about what he's doing on his job etc. Sometimes we argue and he'll tell me that he doesn't find me interesting and that I don't mentally stimulate him. He'll send me information to read and get made when I don't have a discussion with him about what he sent me. Because instead I'll ask him something personal. I don't get it why won't he just leave me alone period? We've argued before in the past and he blocked me a few times but he always unblocks me. Then he says he will permanently block me but he hasn't. Sometimes I think he says it because he knows it upsets me. He watches me on Facebook yesterday he saw me talking to another guy and he posted on my wall. Whenever we argue and I tell him I love and appreciate him he usually stops arguing with me then. I don't get it why won't he just leave me alone if he doesn't like me? Whenever I stop talking to him and ignore him he does things to try and get my attention. |
Question: Ex husband still in picture and annoying? Posted: 21 Sep 2015 11:04 AM PDT I need to know if I am going crazy or do I have a leg to stand on? I am dating a beautiful girl now for 4 months. She is divorced and no kids. Her ex-husband is unfortunately still in picture as he works with her mom and stepdad. She now stays with her mom and stepdad so when I visit, he is occasionally there. They have been divorced two years and are on very good speaking terms. ( he had an affair and ended it with her though). She told me that she only got over him in February this year... Although I feel uncomfortable about the whole situation, I try and be accommodating. I understand good terms but last week we were there at her parents house and when we arrived, we saw his car there. She then tells me we will only be 30 minutes. we spent THREE hours there, I feel its not up to me to dictate when we leaving. When we said our good beys , they hugged each other, kissed on the mouth ( greet kiss) and then he started tickling her like fooling around. I stood a metre away and became very uncomfortable. this lasted for about 10 seconds. ... When I confronted her, she tells me that I am over reacting. Am I right in saying its BS for my girlfriend and her ex husband acting like that at all!!! TIA |

Question: Why does my ex boyfriend of 25 yrs ago STILL stay in contact with me? Posted: 21 Sep 2015 07:50 AM PDT 25 yrs ago I was engaged. We met when we were 15yrs old - our relationship was amazingly beautiful. However, he cheated on me & out of hurt/pride I broke it off with him. He got married & divorced within 2 years and then got married again.. His 2nd wife & he have 3 kids & he tells me, they are happy. After we broke up I spent 2 yrs alone before meeting my husband & having 2 kids. (He was emotionally abusive & we are now divorced) Anyway, 8 yrs ago when my father died, I received flowers from him. I ph him & thank him for the flowers. He apologized for the way he had treated me & talked about his regrets in regards to his behavior/me leaving him. Prior to this we were not in contact. For 6 yrs after this we would send birthday/Xmas emails. However - 2 yrs ago his brother died - we were all close & I was terribly sad to hear of his death... since then we have been in regular contact via email/ phone. We have not met up but he has hinted on a few occasions. I am divorced & a f/time mother of 2 kids. He is married (happily?) with 3 kids. I admit I enjoy his phone calls/emails & do feel a connection & warmth towards him & I think, from what he says, that he feels the same. I am not interested in an affair (the reason why I have not responded to his suggestion of meeting) But WHY does he keep in contact with me? Am I just romanticizing something that was over YEARS ago? WHY do I have feelings for him? |
Posted: 21 Sep 2015 07:19 AM PDT I'm a woman and my boss is female too. She is married with a kid.At first she asked whether I was seeing someone and my reply was "yes,"but he is not here at the moment. I had only worked for her (my boss) for three days, but she asked me whether I liked boys or girls and I got surprised. She was like, "Do you like boys or girls?" Can someone interpret for me what she exactly meant and why she had to ask me that question? |
Question: Is he right to have a go at me like this? Posted: 21 Sep 2015 06:47 AM PDT Basically, one of my friends was duped a few hundred quid in an online scam and her mum eventually told me about it when we saw each other... I promised I wouldn't tell anyone about it but assumed it would be okay to offer my condolences to her daughter, so I messaged her later that night and said I was sorry to hear about what happened, which caused a row between her and her mum as I didn't know the mum wasn't supposed to tell me. Anyway... in the library today the dad was fuming and shouted at me for what I did openly, with everyone looking. Was he right to openly embarrass and disgrace me like this? (I haven't told anyone about the scam other than the person herself, which is what I promised.) He was there when his wife told me about this (although he did try and stop her). I think his annoyance stems from the fact that I promised I wouldn't tell anyone about it, but I didn't think their daughter herself was included in "anyone" (I just thought they meant anyone else who it didn't concern). |
Posted: 21 Sep 2015 05:58 AM PDT I ve been living with the same roommates for over a year, and dating my partner for almost three. I made her a set of keys to hold on to in case I lose mine. They stay at her house when she s out of town and in her car else wise, in case I lose them (I don t own a car, nor work in an office setting where I could keep hem). My partner never comes to the house without me here, she wouldn t have a reason to, nor would I ask her to unless all three of us are away. Me and of my roommates are comfortable with it, as she has also been able to call my partner for help to be let in. However, the other one has a strong belief that only tenants should have keys period. I have asked him what he is worried about (as he owns nothing in the apartment except what is in his room, which he keeps secured anyways), and he has no answer, only that the answer is "No". What are you experiences with roommates and significant others handing out keys? Am I in the wrong? *Note: there is no place to store spare keys outside (away meaning so someone could take care of the cat) |

Posted: 21 Sep 2015 12:33 AM PDT |
Posted: 21 Sep 2015 12:27 AM PDT I have been with my bf for five years. We were fifteen when we started dating and had the same idea of marriage. We both came from divorced families and agreed that it was just a dumb move to make. He and I both felt that if two people really loved each other than a piece of paper meant nothing really. We are both in college now and that is what my main focus is at the moment. However he has been having some changes in thought recently. Whenever he sees a couple with a baby he will start asking when me when I will be ready to have children with him. I told him that while I'm not against having kids, it wouldn't be something I would want until I have completed my degree and established some sort of secure job. Basically until I feel financially secure enough to do so. Then the other night we were going to bed and he asked if I ever thought about marrying him. I didn't respond right away because he caught me by surprise. I could see that it hurt him because he just turned away from me and said nevermind goodnight. The thing is I really dont think I would want to marry him. It doesnt mean I love him any less or am any less committed to him. I just dont think marriage is for me. I don't know what to do I dont want to break up, I dont want to hurt him, but I don't want to get married. Is there any sort of compromise you can think of? |

Question: Do you consider this flirty? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 10:46 PM PDT A woman and a man both work at a large company. The woman is a receptionist. The man a security guard at the hospital-he's not a police men or anything, a security guy who wears a uniform. The woman and man have never met or talked and one day pass each other in a hall. The woman says, "Good afternoon Officer" as she passes him, and she continues walking to her destination. why in the world would someone think this is flirty? How is saying "good afternoon officer" to a security guard flirtacious? is there a hidden meaning in the word officer? the man acted very surprised that she would address him that way. for some reason he took it as flirtaciousness... |
Question: I have a question about living alone (I am schizophrenic).? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 10:32 PM PDT I am an adult male schizophrenic. I have about zero social skills. Right now I live with my family. Some day they might grow up and have wives and husbands so I won't really be able to stay with them. Since I have no social skills. I don't have any friends and I have never had a gf. It is unlikely that I will get a gf in the future either. I need someone to help pay the bills. A wife is a good think to count on so that she doesn't bail (assuming she doesn't cheat). I do not see myself getting a wife. I mean.. you don't know how bad my social skills are. If I have say, a male friend, he could possible end up getting married and moving out. Right now my best option is, when the time comes, to put ads out to have a total stranger move in and help pay the bills. I can also live alone, but I don't think I could afford it. These are the best idea I have right now. Are there any other options? Thanks. |
Posted: 20 Sep 2015 10:18 PM PDT time between them to fully healed, by the time I bought this up, she got really mad, so my timing was bad....she hates her ex, so I don't she is fully over him. Doesn't even want to talk about him, i sensing she hiding her emotional baggage. |
Question: What is called when just the thought of someone makes you cry? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 10:06 PM PDT i guess it can be applied to a lover but that is beside the point. for example, just the thought of my little brother makes me cry or want to. i love him so much and he s so pure and young and he s the only thing i have close to real family. or the thought of my grandmother who raised me when my parents were to distracted in fighting eachother in custody battles. or how my sister used to be when we were best friends. is it just missing them? because i feel like its much more. i think you never truely love someone until just the thought of them makes you cry when you never cry about anything else, not even physical pain. like a father about his newborn son when he has never cried since he was fourteen. or a wife at a wedding. |
Question: Would you be upset if your partner didn't tell you they were a virgin before sex? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 09:01 PM PDT A few days ago my bf and I got into the topic of sex and he asked if he was better than my ex. I told him that I had never had sex with anyone before him. He sorta freaked out. He asked if he was the one to take my virginity and if I had a reason for not having sex at this age (I'm 21) I told him that yes he was my first and that sex just never happened for me. He was actually upset with me for not telling him. Our first time was in the back of his car and he says the if he'd known I was a virgin he would have wanted my first time to be different. I told him that it didn't matter to me but he was still hung up on it. He said he assumed I had slept with my last boyfriend because we'd been together for 4 years but I explained that my ex was very religious and saving himself for marriage. I told my bf that my virginity wasn't that important to me as long as I was having sex with someone I cared about. My bf wasn't a virgin when we met so I figured sex with me would be just like sex with anyone else whether I was a virgin or not. Anyway he sort of blew it out of proportion and isn't talking to me right now. I asked if he was maybe worried that I was be overly attached to him since he was my first but he said that wasn't the reason. I asked him to explain to me why he was so upset but he said "If you don't already know than you just won't get it." I really don't understand. It's not like I lied to him he just never asked about it. Would you feel the same in this situation? Why? |
Question: Is my future career in risk? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 08:40 PM PDT hello I just want to know if I still have time to fix my credits, graduate high school, and get in to a good college my high school requires 23 credits to graduate and I only have 11 credits they say I'm on track I'm a junior by the way. Well the reason why I'm worried about my future is because freshmen year of high school I messed up pretty bad didn't pass no math class for the whole year. This's really embarrassing sorry well like I failed a few other classes. Sophomore year I did pretty well only like failed on math class and well this year I really want to get my freshmen math credits which I'm taking a credit recovery class for it I really don't think it helps. Seriously I think I'm screwed forever like I might as well graduate high school and work a normal job like everybody else. Something I wanted to do when I was young was an astronomer, but you have to be good at math. I feel like there's no hope for me at all for like I just keep getting in trouble with school and idk my parents are telling me I'm going to be a screw and it just hurts, when they rub it in your face cause they make me feel worthless well yeah just sucks. |
Question: How do you get over someone you once loved? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 08:04 PM PDT It's been years, I speak to them less and less each year now. Even so many years of talking we only talk every now and then. She has someone else now, and I went my own way. I'm not sure she ever loved me even when she said it, a few times and ran off with someone else. Then came back to tell me she's happy with someone else. It's been years! why can't I get over her? |
Question: Why should I spend my money on experiences, and not things? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 08:01 PM PDT I am 25 and work in the public school system. We've all heard the saying: Spending your dollar is important, but it is not as important as to the story you attach to it. Should I spend my money on experiences or things? When I was a child--that is, during my younger High school days--I played a lot of video games. I was a PS2 owner, and played games like Kingdom Hearts and Jak 3. What if there are overlaps between spending money on experiences and things? I also (today), like to read. And reading has shaped my experiences (as I damn-well know too much on research, and tend to do more research than buying things material things). The point is, I don't buy anything (other than nice clothes), and don't know what to spend my money on. Plus, to top it off, my childhood was already great--as I also played piano and took private lessons that my parents paid for. That was an experience in itself. Any help? |

Posted: 20 Sep 2015 07:56 PM PDT So am a new student at a new school and feel there is tension now with my roommate I'm sharing my room with. I think it is because she has ADD, but she and her new friend seem rude lately. I try not to interfere in her life, but still things are strange. Went canoeing recently & since she likes outdoors, I invited her to come along. She mentioned that her friend is coming. No problem. However she & her friend completely ignored me. When I tried to join in I was out of the loop. This friend of hers is her other's good friend's roommate. They seemed nice when I first met them. But for some reason they seemed cold towards me after. She came back late last night & seemed moody. Knew she was pissed so said nothing to her except how her kayaking trip was, which to her was ok. She was mad and it couldn't have been at me since I hardly saw her all day. She was getting ready for bed & turned the lights off. I said "have a good night" to her & she flipped out at me saying how I do not understand the connection between lights off and ME being awake? She's was the one going to bed! I can't say goodnight? Today she invited me to get nails done with her other friend. Was ok but she kept inviting everyone to go to a party with her with me stuck in the middle hearing it. Flaunted it to my other roommate and stuff but didn't mention it to me. WTF?? I'm not offended and told her that she does not have to invite if she does not want to, she does not need to rub into my face! How to deal? |

Question: My neighbor's bf has an annoying truck. What do I do? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 07:16 PM PDT He comes by almost every night with a stupid diesel, or whatever the hell it's called. All I know is that it's too damn loud. He'll park on the road around 11 at night, and he'll leave the truck on for 10 minutes waiting for her. Like shut it off! It's very annoying and rude when people have to sleep. Today I screamed "shut it off!" and it worked. Do you think I have the right to do that? Or am I overreacting? |

Question: Why do girls hate me so much? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 05:47 PM PDT I'm the ugly guy in the front. I'm 16 a junior in high school. The other guy is my friend Anderson, we're at six flags and we met those girls Caitlin (the girl with brown hair), and Rachel (the blonde girl). Me and Anderson were going on a 4 seat roller coaster and Caitlin and Rachel asked if they could ride with us and we said yes and we hung out all day together. I honestly didn't expect them to stay after the ride but they did. All girls have ever done to me in my life is reject, humiliate, embarass, pick on, talk about me behind my back, and make fun of my for being the really ugly guy I am. That made me think maybe not all girls are shallow sell outs. I always try to be nice to girls, and to people in general, but all I got in return is disrespect and all the things listed above. Anyways, we had a great day together, and Anderson kept flirting with Rachel, we also met their friend Joe and he's nice, we all hung out together and Anderson's sister Isabella joined us too. We had a lot of fun and we even hugged goodbye and exchanged numbers so we could hang out again. But only Joe will respond to me, they'll respond to Anderson but not me, I was wrong, those girls are shallow sell outs too. Why do girls hate me just cause I'm ugly? |

Question: How do I tell this person I can't be his tutor? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 04:31 PM PDT Theres this guy in my class in college that asked me to be his tutor because I was able to explain to him dimensional analysis. I have crippling anxiety and I suck at chemistry, but dimensional analysis is a simple concept. now he thinks I can be his tutor and I don't know how to explain to him how he would do even worse than he is now if I even attempted to tutor him. Just help me put it into words please, I tried but I freeze up just at the thought of talking to another human face to face. |

Question: Is it ok for your husband to cheat? Posted: 20 Sep 2015 03:48 PM PDT |
Posted: 20 Sep 2015 12:30 PM PDT Apologies in advance for the length. I started talking to this guy in college. Hanging out at his place I met a couple of his friends. Long story short me and that guy never got anywhere or became anything but I was still hanging with his friends. My cousin is my best friend and I invited her to hang with me and one of the guys. After that she told me she liked one of them. I started developing feelings for the same one as well. She got upset with me last week because I was all flirty with him when I knew she liked him. I hadn't told her I liked him yet so I apologized for hurting her feelings. I hung out with him again this week and we ended up spending the whole weekend together and having sex. Should I tell her, or just wait to see where things go with him. He said it shouldn't matter because I knew him first. He's 23 and her age but 5 years older than me... |
