It's so cold in my state, my school is horrible, I've lived here my whole life and I'm just really sick of it. I have emotional reasons, too (bullying, depression, etc.). My parents used to live in North Carolina, but they moved back here before my siblings and i were born. I know they love it down there, but for some reason they refuse. they just say "oh we don't need to move" or "why do you even want to?". The only reason I can think is that they don't want to leave my brother here, who is in college. There is a nice college in NC that I'm sure my brother would love, but my parents are so stubborn! I start high school next year and i would love to have a good change of pace. ive been looking at houses online for a while now, but even though ive found a perfect home they still ignore me. I think deep down inside, they want to move too, but how can I convince them?? PS: please none of the "you'll get over it" or stuff like that, i want real advice on how to convince them. |

My dad(belgian) is 5'6ish ans my mom(korean) is 5'3ish. I have 2 older brothers, the eldest is 19 and currently around 5'8. My other brother is almost 17 and also 5'3ish. When it comes to me, I am 13.1 years, I weigh 90ish pounds and about 5"1 and a half. Although i'm pretty short, my eldest brother is more like me (body structure, skinny/bony). Unfortunately I don't know much about height on my moms side as she was adopted and doesn't remember her biological family. |

Now I'm 21 more independent I pay my own bills make my own food work and go to school full time, my relationship with her couldn't be worse she only points out my flaws anything that makes me happy she try's to take away she can't accept the fact that I'm in a relationship and will soon be moving out and getting married, she try's to push my boyfriend away from me even though he is very successful doesn't even acknowledge him at times, with time it's just getting worse and worse I don't know what else to do any advice?? |

Now my parents are forcing me to go on a vacay with him -as in stay in the same hotel room- and I cannot do that. It just annoys me. As a result growing up I believed her and was uncomfortable around whoever my mother was mad at. She came from a big family so regularly someone was out. As a result I missed lots of time with extended family and cousins. When I got to be about 15 I realized my mother was often the one wrong. Now I am 27 and she still tries to bring me into these feuds. When she does this how can I politely say "MOM STOP" as I don't want relationships damaged any more. I'd be closer to people had my mother not kept me away so much as a kid. Even my father notes she was wrong on this. |

My parents aren't very supportive of me hanging out with my friends, afraid I'll start doing drugs. My mother also worries everytime I hang around with my girlfriend alone, afraid that I will engage in sexual advances on her. (We have wanted to have some intimacy in this 2 yr relationship, and it's made us both very irritated because I feel shame anytime I do anything regarding sex). They have taken away my ability to go out of the house for a month now, even though I have never wasted myself or have even tried drugs. In other words, my parents seem to be very overprotective of me, socially. What can I say to them? |

I had no clue where she was going or anything due to my age. She came back, only to announce her divorce with my dad. It was rough but she stopped leaving and my family adjusted pretty quick. Skip forward to just a few months ago. I see my mom on her computer on some "Narcotics support" thing. I'm 12 btw so I didn't know what narcotics meant. I looked it up and suddenly had the realization that maybe my mom had a drug problem. I forgot about it until two/three weeks later when I saw her post something about how she drinks, feels guilty and then cuts herself. (I believe the FB post was supposed to be private as it later disappeared) I was so shocked and upset. Anyway, I never mentioned it to anyone, partly because I was embarrassed. Still, my relationship with my mom didn't really change. But today, I was home alone and went on her computer. Her Facebook was signed in and being the invasive kid I am, I decided to click thru a few messages (don't scold me Idrc) &saw some she sent to her boyfriend, sent a couple days ago. They said how she relapsed and drank 7 beers before cutting her arms. I scrolled a bit and saw "i called detox to set up a bed for prevention in 3 weeks time" I instantly started sobbing. I don't want my mom to leave again. I know its for her own benefit but I can't handle this. I just couldn't stop crying. What do I do? Help me please |

Posted: 19 Sep 2015 12:19 PM PDT I left my previous expensive school but not because of financial problems.I study in another country now and honestly I despise it.I made a huge mistake leaving.I've always been a sporty and academic person but they aren't any sports here.it bugs me because I've been offered scholarships for basketball and rugby and know I can't just throw that away but not doing my sports at all.My goal is to return to my old school by January but I'm running out of time .My mother loves me but she seems to be against me for no particular reason .maybe she enjoys not paying loads of money for fees .but she promised she would sacrifise for me and that's the whole reason I went to that school.and she has money but she won't agree.I need help on how to get her to agree.she only gives me petty excuses when I talk about it or she avoids the talks.I don't want to be guilty and regret not playing rugby or using my schools s facilities to make the most out of it for my life.please can i have your help and advice .and I'm not a spoilt kid but I can't avoid the depression and guilt if I had a chose not to feel I would.please give any advice |

He constantly tells me each day that he is going to "make me bleed." "Break my snout" And those sorts of things and he always remarks to the whole family that me and my brother are disgraces and should be kicked out. He always screams and gets really agrresive for ANYTHING, he always screams in your face for simple things like you forgot to give the dogs food. To be honest im scared to be anywhere near him and you cant talk to him, he just screams over you or hits you to make you be quiet. My mom has no power in the marriage but he doesnt hit her just tells her thats shes a horrible mother who has created peices of **** (not a bad mother). Im 13 and hes been like this forever and my brother is 17 he has done ALOT more to my brother though. We are not poor were upper middle class and he doesnt seem to have a reason to be angry he never litsens and is always quick to scream what should i do? |

I look around at all my friends and their relationships with their parents and I hate mine. My parents are so conservative and judgemental. They say I can talk to them but theyre so overprotective and want the perfect child I just broke the other day and I know I can't talk to them about anything anymore. They don't understand what it means to be a teen in this day and age. I want to try stuff like alcohol and going out but I feel like I'm always going to be lying to them because they just aren't there for me and don't know how to be. I only can trust a small group of people and I'm sure I've pushed them out cause I ddon't want to talk to them about anything except maybe small talk. How can I just get through the next 4 years ? I just need advice. Everyone in my family has just grown up privileged and protected and don't want to be exposed to anything else in life. They don't get it and I hate this I want to experience stuff whether it be good or bad. I don't want to just be some boring follow your career path in high school adn college **** and not do anything. While that's fine I need something more in life but I feel like what I want to experience now they're just in my way. |

They don't get it and I hate this I want to experience stuff whether it be good or bad. I don't want to just be some boring follow your career path in high school adn college **** and not do anything. While that's fine I need something more in life but I feel like what I want to experience now they're just in my way. |
| Question: Should I call CPS ?? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 11:54 AM PDT My best friend recently informed me that she has left her 3 month old baby home along in his swing, while she runs errands. The father also does this! I told my parents about it and now my dad is furious since she is a family friend and wants me or him to call CPS. Or offer for her to move into our house (she is in a terrible relationship, hates her bf, is so unhappy) what do I do!? I know calling CPS is going to cause a hell of a lot of problems and she will know that I did it.. |
| Question: I need an opinion about my kids nanny? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 11:51 AM PDT So this morning our nanny came to watch our son play soccer which was a really kind gesture. I wasn't there though (husband was) and I kind of feel like she's replacing me. Should she not have went to watch him play? |
