Question: How do I tell my friends I'm unhappy? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 04:51 PM PDT I just transferred schools and I m not in contact with any of my old friends and I am falling apart a little bit. I need to talk to someone about this but I haven t told them anything about myself. How do I start this conversation. I need to because I m struggling with no one to talk to. |
Question: Can you make autism go away? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 04:47 PM PDT My brother is 8 years old and turning 9 in January. He has the brain if a 2 year old!! I'm embarrassed to be seen in public with him and my mom will take us out to dinner with him and makes me go with them anyway! He'll yell and scream and make retarded noises constantly and I have to pinch him to stop. I'm in Middle school and I have no friends and I can't have a birthday party or have sleepovers or invite friends over to my house because im embarrassed that my brother will be there and scare or weird her out! Then they wont want to be my friend. I've had friends that i've known that already knew about Ricky and they didn't care. But that was in Elementary school and Now were in middle schooland they probably made new friends that didn't have a weird brother like me. Thats not even the worst part! I moved two years ago and when I moved to an elementary school in 6th grade I made the worst impression and now I don't have friends from my previous year because all the kids from last year think im stupid, annoying, mean, and ugly. I know none of them even want to be my friend. My friend who knew about my brother from my last school moved to a middle school that started in 6th grade and now shes popular. She knew how to get friends and for people to like her because shes moved before. She now wont talk to me and I have nobody to spend my birthday with because there are no good movies out and I have no friends to spend it with! And my brother wraps the whole thing together. Because in order to make friends Ill have to spend time with them and ill make an even worse impression to my whole school if someone finds out about my brother. I wish autism didn't exist. I bet nobody at my school even has a brother with autism and doesn't know what the heck im talking about or thinking about or what I feel about it. I wish autism went away. I still lovemy brother but I wish he could talk. Not be repetitive not make weird noises. Not act stupid. Not yet. Be disiplined. |
Question: Whatever you know about Domestic abuse charges and the like? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 04:40 PM PDT I need to get away from my ex. I want him to be sent back to the mental hospital and not be put in jail but if he touches me again (which could be the last time i ever breathe and i know its risky to wait) hes going with the cops. How can i work the system in my favor to 1) get out of my lease with him 2) get him put back in the psych ward 3) get a restraining order without having a report filed about his abuse. When i called the cops, i also called his mother and told her if they took him to the ward I'd call the cops off. She said she would call me right back but the cops showed up before she called, I called them off. Turns out his family left for universal studios as scheduled instead. Leaving him at his parents house, but still able to pop into my home and do basically whatever he and his little crazy mind wants. I'm going insane with the stress, I think he loved me once but he says he's never really loved anyone. I could see that he was trying to improve his behaviour for a while (or just got better at hiding it). He never seemed to take his schizophrenia medicine though and who knows what he really did when i was away at work besides eat and masturbate. On a side note, does anyone know if free clinics can do scans of a neck to see if anything is misplaced? Does anyone know the most common thing to be damaged after a choking incident? It feels like one of the...muscle strings(?) popped back behind the others. |
Question: Why do I have no friends? Any suggestions on how to change this? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 04:37 PM PDT I am 22 years old. married with a 9 month old. My whole life I never really had any friends. I am not close with my family except my mom and grandma. I also lost my father when I was 10. I used to have 2 really good friends but when I moved away and came back I realized we weren t as close as I thought. She is the only person that is like me. But every time I try to do something she is busy and can never make time to see my son and I. So I gave up trying because it hurt my feeling. Then the other friend I didn t keep in touch with because he was ruining my life and telling people everything about me and making up lies. I only had him as a friend because he was the only one I had but I realized he wasn t a good friend. I feel like my husband is my best friend but he works a lot so most of the time it is just me and my son. I feel like the only time I enjoy myself is at my school. I talk to a lot of people in class (I go out of my comfort zone) but it never goes farther than that. I feel like some people feel uncomfortable around me. I sometimes have a hard time trying to make conversation if it deals with topics outside of school. I am not a mean person I just don t understand why I can t make friends. When I was little I had the same problem I could never keep friends and was always the one left out while everyone was doing things without me. I feel so lonely all the time |
Question: How do I tell my friend he has become a bad person? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 04:28 PM PDT Recently I cut off things with a guy I've know for around 7 years as I began to realize that he is not a good person. He's book smart but has a know it all attitude about just about everything. He's the type of person who will dish out advice but if you give him advice on topics he's not as skilled at, he acts as if you are clueless on the subject and even makes condescending remarks about your advice. Its like a person who has never had children telling a mother of four how she should raise her kids. He's got a very insensitive way of saying things on top of that. The last straw for me was when he asked me in front of a bunch of friends how it felt being single for my 3rd bday in a row. Its not as if we were in the midst of a fight either, he just says stuff like that all the time. After that I rarely replied to texts and made excuses when he wanted to hang out. So you're probably wondering why I would talk to him again, well he recently texted me asking why we have grown apart. I could ignore it, but another friend brought up that this could be the perfect time to tell him that he's become a bad person. Trouble is, I don't want to be a jerk about it and I'd only tell him in the hopes he'd improve. I was also one of his only friends, so I feel like blindsiding him might be pretty devastating. Should I tell him everything or just ignore his message, and if I should tell him, how do I go about saying that the reason we've grown apart is because he's a bad person? |
Question: Difficult to get a restraining order in California? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 04:26 PM PDT I need one, what is required to get one? Can i get out of a lease if the person i want to keep away is my cosigner? What else should I know? How can i better stay safe? |

Question: Is my best friend a true friend? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 04:23 PM PDT Today is my last day being a civilian, cause tomorrow I'll be shipping off to Bootcamp. I wanted to talk to my best friend on the phone cause I won't be seeing him until 3 months later, I told him lets talk on the phone but he said no he's talking to a girl on the phone for the rest of the night,he knows today is my last day and he still refuses to talk to me, he rather talk to a girl than his best friend, and this girl he's talking too isn't even his girlfriend. Is he a fake friend? Would a true friend do this? I know I shouldn't be worrying about this but he's my best friend |

Question: I don't know what to do at the tis point. Too late to back out? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 04:05 PM PDT So basically, we're college freshmen, and someone in our friends group signed up for intramural co-ed flag football, and made a team with our group. I'd said I didn't want to sign up (I'm a girl) because I knew I really couldn't do anything for the team, but one of the guys said "it'll be fun" blah blah blah, so I did, because our team has a total of 16 people, only five of us are girls and we need four girls and four guys on the field at all times. I'm really sh.itty at sports.. My girl friends from high school weren't really into sports at all, so I never ventured out to do sports either, and it's really fun, but i'm utterly dreadful at it. I fumble easy passes, and I can throw a spiral, but I can't throw long (at all). I feel so bad for being so awful and our first game is tomorrow and idk what to do. how can i get better? it's too late for me to not play.. |

Question: How to deal with annoying people? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 03:32 PM PDT There is this girl that goes to my school and she plays football. (7th grade) She always tries to brag and show off all of her "bruises" and scars and injuries. She always makes drama or always tries to include herself in it. If she isnt involved with someone elses problems, she tells everyone that they are just trying to make a scene. On top of everything (pretty obvious), she tells people so much gossip. She is a true b-. I like her when she isnt acting like this, but otherwise I want nothing to do with her. She isnt getting the memo that I dont want to talk to her, but she follows me around and tries to talk to me. I really need some help to tell this girl off, and hopefully to get her to act like the person everyone likes. |

Question: Is the information there to find ? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 03:19 PM PDT My friend Carl isn't very good with computers, so I do his computer work for him . Lately, he's been asking me to find his old friends for him . I've found several phone numbers and addresses for some of his long -- lost friends . There have been a few times when he's asked me to find contact information for some of his friends, and I haven't been able to find anything . I've had to wonder how I can get in touch with my cousins for twelve years . I didn't remember the name of the man my cousin Priscilla married . I didn't have any idea how I was going to find my cousins . I collected the names and phone numbers of eight people who have the same name as my cousin Dale, and none of them worked out . I haven't been able to find any information on my grandfather or my aunts and uncles on the internet . I accidently found another cousin of mine on Facebook, and she was able to pin down where Dale and Priscilla are . When you're looking for information on people on the internet, you can find Tom and Dick, but you might not be able to find Harry . What can I tell Carl when he asks "Why can't you find this person ?" ? Is that information there to find ? Thank you in advance for your answers . |
Question: How should I sell my Frozen Collection? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 03:01 PM PDT My best friend and I were huge fans of Frozen for the past two years since it came out. I don't talk to my friend anymore though and I don't like Frozen as much as I used to. I'm actually finding it annoying. I have lots of Frozen merchandise that I want to sell such as dolls, shirts, posters, and other things. I want to use the money to redecorate my room. What is the best way to sell it? Ebay, yard sale, craigslist? Please let me know. Thanks! :) |
Question: I think I annoy my friend? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 02:45 PM PDT So I have a friend at school who is really smart. We have Calculus together this year, and I'm not the best at it. I ask her for help at lunch some days because I don't want to fail. I found out the other day from a different friend that this friend thought I was annoying because I ask her for help so much. I feel really bad because I didn't mean to annoy her. I would ask my teachers, but they say to ask other people first and if we still don't get it, then to ask them. When I ask my friend for help she never seems annoyed and is really nice about it. Anyone have any advice on what I should do? Thanks! |

Question: I'm curious, why didn't my ex-friend reply to my recent email I sent out? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 02:23 PM PDT One of my former friends whom I've never met truly cared about me. I stopped talking to her because I felt she was too controlling. When I got back together with one of my ex-boyfriends, she got angry at me and told me to be careful because I didn't know how committed he was to me. She would also say that I couldn't wait for him forever and she didn't want me wasting my time. Finally one day I just got rid of her. Why would she try to get in touch with me three years later after getting rid of her the first time? Right after we reconciled six months ago, I got rid of her again. A few days ago, I sent her an email through her personal account. I'm not worried about it, but I'm curious to get some of your opinions. Why didn't she reply to my recent email I sent her? Please read what I wrote. Hi, I know it's been six months since we last spoke. I'm very happy with my life right now. When you contacted me on Facebook after not speaking for three years, I thought it was a mistake when I accepted your friend request. I've moved forward and I don't think it's a good idea to rekindle our friendship. I wish you all the best. Take care |

Question: My friends just threw me a surprise party? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 02:12 PM PDT I have the best friends in the world, and last night they surprised me with a surprise party. What I wanted to ask is what should I do now? Do I send out thank you cards? I was already going to say thank you bunch once we got back to school but I was just wondering if there was anything I needed to do. Thanks |
Posted: 19 Sep 2015 02:06 PM PDT At least that is the message we are given in school. So, how do you deal with a classmate that you do not like and do not trust, or just simply don't want to associate with, but that seems to want to befriend you? Is it better to simply let them know that you don't want to be friends with them, and would prefer they stayed away from you in a social contest, or is it better to simply say nothing, but try to maneuver away from them. And how do you let other people who ARE your real friends know how you feel? I think its only right that my friends know what i think, and how I feel, and I don't think I need to justify my instinctual feeling about people. I am perfectly willing to be polite to everyone, of course. But I am not willing to be friends with everyone. I respect my real friends too much to treat any stranger just the same way i treat them, for one thing. |
Question: Why is this bothering me so much? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 02:01 PM PDT There is this dude named P I used to be best friends with. We were practically like brothers since kindergarten. Then towards the end of senior year he started hanging out with rich kids and started getting cocky and the summer right after graduation he started running his mouth about me for no reason so I called him and he told me to fight him and when I showed up he called the cops even though it was his idea. Now we are both 21 and I just got a job and he works there. It was pretty chill at first. We would bs and stuff then all of a sudden he started being a prick again. Like bad mouthing my work performance and bringing up things about my family and stuff behind my back. He's quitting this week anyway so I won't have to deal with him anymore but what bothers me is how he changed so much. Me and him used to be best friends from kindergarten through senior year and he just turned into a douche. Even those rich kids from the beginning don't even talk to him anymore and everyone else I know says he's a narcissist and he pretty much uses people. Why is this bothering me? |

Question: I don't know my homecoming date very well and I'm afraid it'll be awkward? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 01:18 PM PDT we text everyday but sometimes it's a little hard to keep the conversation going with him (and I'm very outgoing/talkative) we talk minimally at school, like maybe just a couple times throughout the day we're juniors, going together with four other couples. it's my two best girlfriends and their boyfriends along with my two best guy friends and their dates. so there's other people, but they're probably going to be focused on their boyfriends/dates any advice? I hate awkward situations, the worst homecoming I could imagine is a boring one |
Question: Why do fake people seem to have the most friends? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 01:16 PM PDT I'm in highschool. I don't understand how fake people have the most friends. Some people will move to my school, start off with 0 friends and become popular. It's not even that they are wealthy because they are middle class. I don't understand how lying about stupid things, giving backhand comments and being 2 faced gets them 20 friends. But why is this? |
Question: Why is my friend SO ANNOYING?!? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 01:07 PM PDT Ugh, my friend is so annoying! Her mom ALWAYS makes her get off the phone, and she always says, "I promise, I'll call you back". And I go either minutes or hours without getting a call back. Also, she always complains whenever her stomach hurts or if she has a headache, it's always, "Oooh, my stomach huuurts!" Or, "My head huuurts!". And, on top of all that she ignores me for her stupid games when we're on the phone all the time. The more she does this, the more I want to stop being her friend. Should I stop being her friend or just try and suck it up? Thank you so much for reading. |
Question: My friends don't hang out with me? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 01:06 PM PDT I text them all the time asking to hang out, they all either sy they are busy or they just ignore the text. Question: What do I do if my friend cuts herself? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 01:00 PM PDT My friend told me that she had to go to the doctor for something and then rolled her jacket sleeve down and showed me that she had cut herself. During lunch I asked her what she used and she said a razor that she broke. Then I asked why? She said cause reasons and I said cause our lives suck? and she said yes. I didn't know what to do about it...I think I also might have problems now about wanting to as well...what do I do? |
Question: How do I deal with this? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 01:00 PM PDT About 2 monthes ago, my BFF got hacked on Animal Jam (I didn't really like it, but I played it because of her.). She thought I did it because she gave me her password. Like I would do that to my BFF. Now, she saw me posting about Animal Jam and what the items were worth. She said to me, "[my name], so, is this the stuff you "took" from me. Let's not say what you did. But I'm still heartbroken. And you put it on your nm backup, eh" Should I just forget about what she said to me and be BFFs, bring it up to her every now and then and be friends, or just stop being her friend? And btw, she has anger issues and has brought up not being my friend like 20 million times. Thank you for all your help. I'll give 10 points to the most helpful answer. |
Question: I really don't know whats going with me. Is there something mentally wrong? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 12:55 PM PDT I really think I need help. Since a few years ago (I'm 15 now) I've had so many problems with life. I'll just begin with my family. I feel that they are so unsupportive, when I got really high grades in my exam this year I didn't really get a well done my mum sort of took my result paper from me looked and gave it back. I got really close with my 16 year old brother this year but he betrayed my trust and told my parents everything I told him to keep a secret. I had trust issues with everyone in my family since then, me and my brother made up but he did the same thing again and again so I sort of give him. Then today he told me he feels sorry for me because I have alot of internet friends that I skype regularly and Im always lonely and stuff. The thing is I have friends that I regularly do stuff with, but I feel like I'm the friend who's always there to make everything not awkward because apparently 'Im good at making conversation' but I confronted my closer friends to this and they say its not true and that I'm paranoid. It's true, I always worry if I do something wrong if someone say forgets to wait for me after class I'll feel like crying because they might dislike me or something. Its tough because I'm now in year 11 at high school and I have moved from friendship group to friendship group but now I'm with 2 people and its really stable they're so nice. Sometimes I feel so happy and content then I'm just depressed. What is it I dont wanna go to therapy Just to add. My family are no help, they are not supportive I am not close to anyone even my brothers. |
Question: How should I deal with these Frienship Obstacles? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 12:48 PM PDT I have a situation where one person is getting in the way of my frienships. There's this girl I became interested in and we spoke for a while and then everything went downhill to the point she never wants to see me. However, I am friends with her brother, who is also friends with my best friends and he invited me over to his house. The thing is her sister doesn't ever want me in her house. So I talked with her brother and her parents about what she said and they said I'm more than welcomed by the parents and the brother anytime. Her parents said she will have to deal with it. So recently I went and she said she wanted to kick me out but she told my friends to do it, not her herself. I was just there to hang out with her brother and my best friends. She kept saying it's her house and I'm not welcomed. I wasn't speaking to, looking at, talking about her, or even making a single drop of threat. I don't understand how that's so disrespectful. But she decided to be in the same room as us. I stayed because her brother said I can stay. So she never tried to kick me out but my best friends are in trouble because they feel like they're having to choose between me and her. What I'm doing is I will keep going to the house just to hang out with her brother because I will not let one person affect my close friendships with the others. |
Question: What advice can you give someone whose done everything right? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 12:44 PM PDT Whenever I hear advice in a certain field,it's always a person who is successful, talking to those who are aspiring. However what if the person in need of help has done everything. They've studied, applied that knowledge, jumped through every hoop, and it still doesn't pan out? Suppose someone had a dream of opening a restaurant. They've went to a fine, culinary school, have a clean check from the health department, set up in an area where business should be booming. They've done literally, everything. What advice do you give to someone that has bent over, backwards, and nothing pans out? |
Question: I always seem to be treated unfairly in life? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 12:39 PM PDT I m going to shorten down every eventful thing in my life to just say: I ve had 2 operations on my spine, I suffer with bad anxiety, most of the male figures in my life are alcoholics, my father is very aggressive and the latest trauma of mine is that I can t help comparing my life to that of my friends. I m only 16 as well. One of my friends has a perfect life; she s extremely wealthy, very intelligent and pretty. Question: Did i do something for him to avoid me like this?? any ideas? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 12:14 PM PDT I sometimes take transit with a guy to school. He is usually quiet and our conversations consist of me doing most of the talking. If I don't it gets quiet and awkward. He also confuses me because at times he avoids me and other times he smiles and comes to me on his own Well last week I saw him for the first time after the break. He was with a guy friend so I stood to the side as I waited for my ride. Him and his friend were standing in front of me with a bit of distance between us all. We'll eventually he turned his head around to save me so I think he knew I was there and started smiling and saying hi. So I smiled and said hi and came up to them. He introduced his friend to me and they both started talking to me. I was surprised since he was so talkative. Well the next day I had to go early to school and he was at the station waiting for his friend. As I walked up to him I said hi and asked if he was waiting for his friend. He said hi and nodded. He seemed more quiet and surprised to see me so I left. yesterday i was standing waiting for my ride and looking straight - i noticed him after standing on the other side i think he was trying to avoid me like even when his car came he ran to it before it came close to me Why does he act like this ?? Ps we both are 20 i know this sounds childish but thats why i dont get his behavior |
Question: Friend farts in my car? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 12:08 PM PDT I have a friend who, every time he rides in my car, he farts. And not just once or twice, but several times until we get to where we're going. At first I tried to ignore it, then I tried making a joke out of it so he knows I know what he's doing. But now it's just getting disgusting. Here's the interesting part: we take turns driving places (we usually hang out every weekend) and whenever he drives, he never farts in his car. Only when I drive. I'm not sure if he thinks it's funny, but how should I bring this up? My car ends up smelling for a couple days afterwards. I don't want to embarass him or insult him, but I am also tired of my car smelling so bad. |
Question: Hillary is my friend, she is my president friend she is your friend to right? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 12:04 PM PDT |
Posted: 19 Sep 2015 12:03 PM PDT I work for a small company and I've had a coworker who we used to good friends in my mind. We would talk everyday at work and hang out. Well, I recently lost my father and he has not said one word to me.. It's been almost two weeks. Every other coworker even visited my family's wake for my dad and had a least said I'm sorry for your loss. This "friend" hadn't said anything and it pisses me off. All I could have wanted was just "I'm sorry about your dad" and we would be cool. So now we don't even talk. Why? Why would someone act like that and do you think I should just keep ignoring him? Our hob descriptions don't interfere with each others, so it's not a big deal or noticeable on what's going on to our other coworkers. |

Question: Should I unfriend this type of friend in real life? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 11:58 AM PDT So I have this friend who during the summer said he was going to commit suicide and never did. He continually teases me by calling me things to piss me off. He hits on my sister who is a year younger than me. He had an acid reflux and lied saying he had cancer and told it to the group of friends I have. And he constantly lies about everything. And doesn t joke around they way my other friends do. Should I or should I not? |
Question: I don't really connect with people my age? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 11:55 AM PDT I am 19 years old, and I have found that most of the people I enjoy talking to are graduate students or older. I just don't really connect with other undergrads like myself. Why is this? |
Question: Is it just me or does my best friend act shady sometimes? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 11:51 AM PDT Five years of friendship and counting.I overlook certain things. We're in this group in school, that only accepts the best in school. We were given an opportunity along with the others that are apart of the group to be a part of the executive board. Here's the thing I don't get to participate a lot in the group my mom is single and has to work a lot. Around the time I joined the group my mom was in a car accident, making it hard for me to participate. My bff was not running against me. She and my opponent took pics that advertised for them both on snapchat and I saw it one day in her phone. That she let me see.(we bother each other phones and post crazy selfies sometimes)This hurt my feelings. She also sent my opponent things like "you're gonna win" and "this is a sign" this hurt me. My bff gets to participate in the group a lot, I don't my mom's accident got in the way. So voting day my bff did terrible on her speech ( she quit and looked awkward) she is my bffs so I voted for her. She did not tell me who she voted for. I know she did not vote for me but my speech was great, but me not participating in the group a lot made my opponent, who goes to every meeting, win. That win is not important. What's important to me is the fact that my best friend was not by my side and I was by hers even when she was terrible because I know her potential and I thought she knew mine too. Am I wrong? Is she? Should best friends stick by each other in situations like this? Thank you ! |

Question: How do i make new friends closer? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 11:41 AM PDT I made a few new friends in highschool and i become good friends of theirs but that took me about two weeks+. But yesterday one of my friends met another girl and they act just like best friends now. Im wondering how she is able to make friends so easikly and i cant. I also noticed this with more than just one person; everytime i make friends it takes a really long time for me and even then its like they get bored of me and its so easy for other people to steal them away. how can i be interesting enough while still being myself to make every new friend around me feel like they are my best friend. |
Posted: 19 Sep 2015 11:37 AM PDT I don't think I'm socially inept or have a mental disorder but my past record of friends can be divided into 2 categories: Group A: People at least 3+yrs. older than me This means always seniors & my professors/adults (I normally have a core group of senior friends who I always end up hanging out with and taking advice from) Group B: People definitely 3+yrs. younger than me (Conversely, I tend to advise and guide these set of friends by sharing w/ them the stories about situations I or somebody in my own age group has gone through to help them make better decisions.) The problem is that when it comes to my own peer age group I find a disconnection with them that I can never seem to bridge. They want to talk about social life, parties, weekend retreats, general campus gossip, and I'd rather talk about classes and the future. It also doesn't help that this is a very rural area in the Bible belt and my parents sent me here as a more "reformatory" college experience because they thought I was too influenced by our more liberal state. |
Question: How to fix our friendship? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 11:29 AM PDT |
Question: Why did this girl help me from Facebook? Posted: 19 Sep 2015 11:29 AM PDT So I said happy birthday to this random girl from college on Facebook and then I texted her saying are you taking chemistry. She said yes. Then I said I'm confused about some topics. And she said you can hit me up. I then met her and we went over than and sat in the cafeteria. She talked to me a lot and she is a commuter. So I didn't even get to say bye cause we went to take the test that day. So then I texted her saying who was it. She said it's fine. I said it didn't go well. Then the next day I said are you on campus and she ignored me. Why the hell would she want to meet up with me in the first place? I didn't ask for her help lmao 😅 |
