Question: Complicated Divorce Please Help? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 09:18 PM PDT Okay so me and my boyfriend have been together for a year and 7 months. he has been seperated from his wife since November of 2013. They both agreed upon a clean cut divorce. they have no children and were hoping to not have to go to court. they live in seperate states and she has asked for him to send money to complete the divorce well this would be the third time we ve sent money and not had any results. So what im wondering is what would be the best way to approach this situation... should we do it ourselves and if so how would we go about it?? thank you in advance |

Question: Help with domestic abuse.? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 07:55 PM PDT My husband and I had a major fight last night. Baby was crying asked him to get up and help and he kept telling me to shut up which angered me and I did start it I guess and I hit him in the arm just to get him up. He then jumped on top of me (not to mention I'm 6 months pregnant) and told me to shut up. He then laid back down baby started crying again and I said pleas get up and he started mouthing off. I jumped up to deal with the baby and ended up binging him in the room. My husband was ok at first. I then said I was leaving to calm down and he ran out the door and jumped in front of the car before I could leave. When I came back inside he kept blocking me from walking all in my face saying what's wrong with you why are you doing this. I swung at him because I was getting paranoid by the look on his face. He then pushed me against the wall and held my head down by grabbing my hair. I started swinging cuz he was hurting me. When I hit him he hit me and finally I got weak and fell to the ground. He said he wants help but I don't know where to start. |
Question: Where is my marriage license? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 06:43 PM PDT I sent my marriage license off with my passport renewal information because it was required. While I received my new passport in the mail it is been over a month and I have yet to receive my marriage license back . This has really postponed me from moving forward in the name changing process Because so many other steps require that I show my marriage license. Please help . |
Question: Am I over reacting or is there a problem here? Need outside perspective.? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 05:48 PM PDT My husband and I have been together for 5 yrs. Our relationship was great prior to actually getting married and now it seems to be all down hill. We've had to schedule little talks every few months due to his attitude problems throughout our whole married to prevent us from falling so far apart that we break up. In the past year it's gotten really bad. He seems to be jealous and unsupportive of things like that I've joined the gym and have started studying to get my dream job. He doesn't like it if I send time by myself, like if I take some time out for the kids and go and sit in my bedroom to do some reading for half hour. When I leave the room he asks where im going. If he is doing something, example, the dishes and i'm sitting down with a cup of tea he orders me around to make sure i'm doing equal amounts of housework too. Example of this is, on sunday I tried to have a sleep in until 9.30am but he kept coming in the room and turning the light on, throwing clean washing at me and telling me im so lazy. He's really selfish. Yesterday I was out all day and didn't have time to do the dishes so he refused to wash them even though it was just a few dishes as we hadn't been home. He bitches & moans & sarcastic & really grumpy most of the time. I feel like I walk on eggshells and have to fake being happy to try and lighten his mood. I feel anxious about discussing things with him. Obviously, he has moments of niceness in between so sometime I wonder if im over reacting. Thought? I also thought maybe he resented me for studying to be able to get a good job that I've always dreamed of. So I helped him enrol into a Cert 3 in horticulture course which is his area of interest. He currently works in the industry but as he has no qualifications so he is just a labourer. He seemed pleased at first but has since decided he doesn't want to do the course anymore. We invested $4000 into it and I hope we can get refund. But he still hasn't bothered to cancel it yet. |
Question: Am I wrong for totally ignoring him? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 05:31 PM PDT My ex husband has been sending me messages as of late and I haven't responded to him. We haven't been together or spoken for 5 months. In his letters he claim he doesn't want to get back with me and that he wants me to find my true happiness. All he wants is 5o get something off his chest and the truth of why things where. Why we was married he was abusive to me and cheated on me put I must admit he paid his price for those things. I admit he doesn't bother me as much and stuff and he seems different should I respond back to him or just continue to ignore him |
Question: Is marriage bad for a couples economic position? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 05:18 PM PDT my gf and i are college kids. we dont have money to get married. im thinking about eloping and then getting an actual marriage or something later. but isnt being married "eloped" (same thing) more expensive in the long run as aposed to being "single" in the eyes of gov? grants? loans? insurance? anything else in life that costs money "my gf and i are college kids. we dont have money to get married. im thinking about eloping and then getting an actual marriage or something later. but isnt being married "eloped" (same thing) more expensive in the long run as aposed to being "single" in the eyes of gov? grants? loans? insurance? anything else in life that costs money" ALSO KEEP IN MIND WE ARE COLLEGE KIDS |
Question: Why doesn't my husband let me cook? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 05:18 PM PDT We've been married for almost two years now. He's never let me cook ever since we've been married. Is it that he doesn't like my cooking, or is he just being a control freak? He tries so hard to be my butler and it's becoming annoying!! |
Question: Is my husband overreacting? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 03:43 PM PDT My husband and I have been married for 10 years and have 2 beautiful children. A few months ago (i think it was 4 or 5 months ago) i was having a bad case of a middle age crisis, and had a non physical affair with a coworker. The non physical affair turned physical and my husband walked in on us. He didnt freak out which was odd, but i was in tears, i was so sorry and still am, i quit any communication with the man, quit my job and gave my husband all my passwords and even let him look at my phone. The thing is the day after i told him he started crying like he had a delayed reaction. Hes also been depressed lately and i barely see him smile, hes been on anti-depressants since i told him, He and I are trying to work on things now but its difficult when he wont really try. Hes cold and distant one day, and fine the next. its been 4 months since i told him, and he still gets these cold moods. the other day he got into a car accident, i went to the hospital to comfort him but he was cold and distant again. For the past 2 weeks hes been fine, but i dont know when he will go cold again. I have been trying to get intimate with him but his libido seems to be gone. the past few days has been the closest thing to moving forward than we ever had. we attend counseling and take the tips given their, i just dont know what to do when he gets cold. I MEANT TO ASK WHY IS HE ACTING THIS WAY, NOT IS HE OVERREACTING |

Question: I want to move and he doesn't. Am I being selfish? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 01:21 PM PDT My husband and I live in a small town in Louisiana where everyone knows everyone and rarely anyone ever leaves. I was born and raised here, he was born in a military family and now in the military himself. Has been on two tours and done his fair share of seeing the United States. Me on the other hand has not. Ever sense I was a kid in high school I have always told myself I was getting far away from here. Don't get me wrong people, place, family, friends everything is good. I just want to experience something knew that I never got to. We had a baby at 19 right before he went on his first tour, so when he was off doing military things I was at home taking care of our kid. I am very proud of him for fighting for our country. Ok so now he has a job offer in Colorado somewhere I have ALWAYS wanted to live. It is very far away from our family and friends and he will do it just to make me happy but he does not like the fact it's is so far away from everyone we love. I love the fact it is something new and different. Again he will do what ever I want just because he is that good of a husband. Ok so the question is. Am I being selfish if I tell him to take the job knowing he doesn't 100 percent want to move for his own happiness? He does like the job so it is not something he would not like doing, the main reason he doesn't want to move is family and comfort. Do you think if we move because it's something more I want to do than him he will hold it against me? I need some opinions. |
Question: I've caught feelings for a married man. Please give me some advice? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 01:10 PM PDT I've flirted and had something like an emotional affair with a married man... We've NEVER been physical in which he said he is not interested in that because it would be inappropriate. He was just fascinated by me He didn't tell me he was married the first 3 months we've chatted (I had to ask him) We've talked off and on for two years... How do I end this? I hate feeling so powerless. He is 40 and I am 25. Do you think we could still be friends if the flirting stops? By the way, I've never met his family |
Question: Should I leave my husband? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 01:09 PM PDT All we do is argue he criticizes me for being too big then when I loose weight I'm "too skinny" he finds flaws in literally everything we don't even live together anymore I did some things that caused trust issues I can admit and all he does is bring up the past so from what I'm seeing there is no point of even trying anymore I'm thinking of just giving up we are both young he's 22 I'm 20 I just don't know what to do anymore or what to even say I know I'll never be good enough for him and I refuse to let my self esteem get low and be worrying every second what he's thinking of me. he always accuses me of cheating which I can understand because I cheated on him before with a female but it still hurt him and he brings it up always so it seems we will never move past everything should I keep changing for him or go with my instinct on this one and tell him I'm done |

Question: After marriage I want to live separately? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 08:46 AM PDT I don't ever want to get married, but if I ever change my mind, I'd want to live separately. Living together is one of the things I dread about marriage. Is something wrong with me? Why do I feel this way? |

Posted: 23 Sep 2015 07:49 AM PDT I am going on a trip to a seminar in San Fransisco. A female friend, single, is going to the same seminar. My wife suggested that we room together. She said, "You're both consenting adults." I told her that wasn't what a married man should do, then I asked her if she had done it with men in her training group. She said she hadn't. Without going into depth about our relationship, this seems to be very odd. |
Question: Opinions on therapist/ counseling ? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 07:11 AM PDT My husband and I are going to see a therapist for our issues, sex and communication. .. has it saved anyone else's marriage before ? |
Question: My husband does not like to go out anymore, he prefers staying at home? Posted: 23 Sep 2015 06:34 AM PDT We have been married for 7 years at the beginning of our marriage we went out more. He initiated and I also did. Now it is just me initiating going out, but the worst part is that whenever I suggest we go out he goes with me but with a grumpy mood. I can tell he does not want to be out. I suggest simple things like taking a walk downtown, or around the lake or to the park. Or going to the movies or going to the beach. He would prefer staying at home and be on the internet or doing anything else like exercising. It seems like I have to find my friends if I ever want to do anything outside the house. His job is not that demanding he has free days and he works close to home and he is home before 6pm, so being tired from work is not the problem. also the frequency of asking him to go out with me is not that often I do it probably once a week. and that it is still to much for him. |

Question: Name change after marriage? Posted: 22 Sep 2015 11:11 AM PDT American women are forced to change their name when they marry? That's what I see in the movies, but I don't know if it's true, if it is, I find very unfair and sexist, for me, the person's name is her identity. I would not want to adopt the name of a man, I have my own name, I am not indigent. In my country, women can choose whether they want to adopt her husband's name or not, and he can also take her if him want. What do you think of the name change? Really? They can change the name? As well, invent a new name ??? Ah, merge the names seem fairer Well, I'm glad that is not a requirement. Thanks for the responses! I would not feel honored to change my name Ocimum, and if a guy can not understand that, then he's not the guy I want to get married. Nothing against the use of the hyphen. ρερρεяЬεαѕτ, perhaps it has not turned out exactly the way I meant, because English is not my first language, but emphasis on the "but I DO NOT KNOW IF IT'S TRUE, IF IT IS, I find very unfair and sexist, for me, the person's name is her identity. " Cause you do not think is right does not change the name Pieman? Vc is sexist? Did not think the option should be women? |
