Question: How does wedding registry work? Posted: 10 Sep 2015 10:08 PM PDT I know how a wedding registry works but here's my question: If I order a wedding gift off the registry will they know it's from me if I send it to them through the mail? Also can I send a wedding card with the gift at the same time or do I send the card and gift separately in the mail? A close friend of mine is getting married and this is the first time buying a gift for the wedding.

Posted: 10 Sep 2015 11:13 AM PDT ..the groom but not the greatest of friends. Occasional Friends at best. We gave $125 as our gift. We don t make great money and it s what we thought was fair for our budget. A couple weeks after the wedding, the groom was talking with my bf after returning from their honeymoon and mentioned the cost per plate being $129 or somewhere around that. I feel like he may have mentioned that because they thought our gift wasn t enough. I think it s offensive however we had no idea what the cost per plate was going to be either! And we don t have a lot of money to give anyways. I was thinking of sending another card in the mail w an additional check for about $100. What should I say in the card? Should I send it?? Please help!
Question: Can anyone recommend some slow Celtic music that is not sad or depressing? Posted: 10 Sep 2015 10:54 AM PDT Looking for music ideas for my wedding and having trouble finding slower songs for the reception. Please provide the title and who sings it(version you like best). I do have some already, mostly Celtic Woman but we would like more than just a handful of songs since there is a bit of a Scottish theme to the wedding. I do know that Celtic and Scottish are not the same but they do compliment each other.

Question: Wedding color schemes? Posted: 10 Sep 2015 07:06 AM PDT I know this is REALLY late, (We're getting married in December), but I can't make up my mind on color schemes and decorations. We're having the wedding in Chicago, so obviously I'm looking at a winter theme. In terms of color schemes and flowers, what would fit best? I've changed my mind about those so many times now it's not even funny. Any suggestions?
Question: What to wear to a wedding? Posted: 10 Sep 2015 07:00 AM PDT A couple of good friends mine are getting married in a small ceremony in November. For those who have seen a post or two of mine, you know I like to crossdress. A male friend has asked me if I'd be his date to the wedding, and of course I said yes! I need to figure out what to wear, as this will be a first for me. I'm 5'7", 148" now with sandy blond hair. Any outfit suggestions would be really, really appreciated (including colors, shoes, etc., as surprisingly, I'm not great at putting things together), as well as where to shop for something great for this event! I should add a quick clarifying comment. I get and appreciate any concerns about appropriateness at a wedding. The bride and groom are very encouraging of my dressing at their wedding, since that is how they see me most often. The ceremony (and reception) will be fairly small, and with a largely open minded crowd.
Question: A reception After Eloping... Do You Give a gift? Posted: 10 Sep 2015 05:15 AM PDT My Brother in Law & his now wife decided to elope. Now after about 4 months they are throwing themselves a "Casual Reception." Are we supposed to/expected to still give a gift? I personally do not support this. See they had a wedding hall booked for April 16' along with 400 people on their guest list. He wanted to just have the family( parents & siblings) watch them exchange vows at the court house but she protested. In June they went on vacation with another couple & all of a sudden on FB we see her in a wedding dress & him in a button up saying they eloped. I don't understand why they couldn't of just had a small wedding in front of family here. No one said they had to have a fancy hall or 400 guests. My Brother in Law said they're going to wear their wedding attire for an hour then change. Am i missing something here or am I just old fashion for a 29 year old. I should add they've been together for 6 years, have a house, a 3 year old son & are expecting another one
