Question: Gf always putting up with bs.? Posted: 14 Sep 2015 01:27 PM PDT My cousin girl friend doesn't like me and i don't like her. When me and my girlfriend broke up her cousin stopped liking me due to the reason for why we broke up. But we don't like each other. but my gf cousin is always wanting her to do stuff for her her cousin is on house arrest but she gets to come out from 7am - 10 pm. that gives her enough time to do what ever she needs to do but shes always calling on my gf to do this. she had me and my cousin drive to family dollar remind u she has a car and was at family dollar. we pulled up thinking she was gonna try to give us something or something. we pull up and she asked my gf to go in the store. my gf is gone all day doing nothing but running her around and always telling my gf to do this and that. and when my gf gets home she complains and says im not doing nothing else for her and im not messing with her no more but when she calls my gf don't tell her how she feels she just does it. she says jump my gf say how high. and its annoying my and my gf went on a date yesterday cause shes been gone doing nothing but running her cousin around so my gf took me on a date. and all i asked from her was to cut her phone off while we out at the movies and at lunch my gf couldn't even do that. when we went to the movies my gf left her id in the car cause she wanted liquor and was gone for 45 minutes all bcus she was talking to her cousin on the phone. and im over it. |
Question: Man cave vs woman cave? Posted: 14 Sep 2015 12:56 PM PDT We got married only a month ago. We live in a small 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. The extra bedroom is my husband's "mancave" I have no problem with him having his mancave. In fact I think it's a good thing! However I think it's also a good idea that I should have a "woman cave." He says the living room is the woman cave. I say no its not cuz he eats in there & watches TV in there. Just like I am not allowed in his man cave & cannot touch anything in his man cave, he will not be allowed entry into the woman cave & also not allowed to touch anything either. He suggested the kitchen bathroom or laundry room as the woman cave. I suggested we put a divider down the middle of his man cave & 1 half be his man cave & the other half be my woman cave. Yall got any ideas how to solve this impass? I don't want a TV in my woman cave. I don't want it being used as a dining area either. It will be my study area. & where I do my arts and crafts. In order for ANYONE to enter our apartment they must come thru the livingroom. |

Question: Friends vs Girlfriend? Help? Posted: 14 Sep 2015 12:29 PM PDT So roughly a month and a half ago I told my friends id go paint balling with them. But they didn't have a date to do it so it has slipped my mind. Well for the past month my girlfriend of 9 months and I had been trying trying to go out. Well my girlfriend and I had planned on going this Friday since last week, but my friend told me a couple days ago rhat paintball would be on the 18th... The same day as the date. So my friend told my girlfriend about it and she got angry and upset about it. Now she's saying I let her down and stuff... But if I go with Her and bail on my friends I let 10-12 people down. So what do I do? Please hurry. Thanks |

Question: Letting go is so hard for me please help? Posted: 14 Sep 2015 10:26 AM PDT I had a friend who did something wrong by calling my roommate and complaining that I did something that I never did. I also felt like he was fake because he talks about other people to me but was friends with them at the same time. He received an apple discount which he buys stuff half price .He purchased it for the people he talks bad about but never bought me nothing when I ask. When I graduated from college I did not tell him or invite him and he was very hurt. He called my roommate for like an hour and rant about it and even said he doesn't really know what he has done that has made me that mad. It has been almost a year since I cut him off. it is very hard for me to forgive people and I easily get mad at people who are not genuine because I am a very genuine person and if I am friends with you I treat you like family and how I want to be treated. Forgiving others is very hard to me why? |
Posted: 14 Sep 2015 10:08 AM PDT I had heard from a mutual friend that my boyfriend had went home with another woman a while back. I chose to not believe it seeing as I had not evidence but two weeks ago but bf was at my house and he got a text. He was in the other room and told me to see who it was. It was from a number I didn't recognize saying he had left his jacket at their house and to come get it with a winking eye. I asked him about it and he got emotional and confessed right away. He said he had gone drinking with his friends and ended up sleeping with a random girl but that he hadn't talked to her since. I basically told him that if he wanted to break up to explore his options or whatever that now would be the time to do it. He claimed that it was a mistake and he didn't want me to leave him and that we would work it out together. I agreed to give him a second chance but it is really hard for me. I never used to mind that he went out whenever he pleased but now it makes me on edge. Just this Saturday he went drinking with his friends and I had to basically force myself asleep so I wouldn't be worrying about it all night. I know i'll feel the same when he goes out again this weekend. He is close friends with one of his exs and I never used to mind that he sees her from time to time as long as they werent alone but now I'm so skeptical. What can I do to make sure I trust him again? Do I need therapy or just time to let everything heal back up? Advice would be appreciated. |

Posted: 14 Sep 2015 08:47 AM PDT Been divorced a few years, have a teenager, and really tired of my job but can't find anything else in the area. Recently lost my dad to cancer and my grandmother to complications of old age. I don't want to live to 103! All I can see ahead of me is 25 more years of drudgery in the workforce and caring for my mother. Not that I don't love her, but the excitement has gone from life. So, thanks in advance! |
Question: How do I reply to this message from my ex? Posted: 14 Sep 2015 08:20 AM PDT So he asked if we could be friends cause he cares about me and wants to be in my life etc. At first I said yeah, let's try it but now as I was thinking about it I just don't think it's possible cause it's uncomfortable and awkward to me. Also probably almost a month and a half ago he said that he just wanted to be friends, nothing more bUT we ended up just not talking after a while although he would check up on me at least once a week. Now he told me that he didn't mean it because he hides his feelings and he would try again with me but he didn't want to talk about that right now and neither did i. Anyways I let him know that its uncomfortable he said he understands but now is asking me what would I like to do then. I really don't even know...what would y'all say in this situation?! |

Posted: 14 Sep 2015 04:12 AM PDT i stayed up all night and i feel exhausted. ive done this before and i fall asleep throughout the day and staying up is sheer torture. how do i convince me to stay home? it's almost 6am so i got about 30 minutes b4 my parents try to wake me up. don't answer unless you have advice. do not judge me for what i did, do not ask me why i stayed up, do not try to scold me or be my parent, just give me my answer. |
Question: How to convince your parents to let you stay home from school? urgent? Posted: 14 Sep 2015 03:57 AM PDT i stayed up all night and i feel exhausted. ive done this before and i fall asleep throughout the day and staying up is sheer torture. how do i convince me to stay home? it's almost 6am so i got about 30 minutes b4 my parents try to wake me up. i stayed up all night because i watched tlc on netflix. my parents are very allowing and usually allow things, so don't say 'highly unlikely' i don't drink coffee either, i find it revolting. do you guys think i don't know that i shouldn't have stayed up? oh my god please don't answer unless you have advice. stop telling me 'no,' like you're my parent, because you aren't, i didn't go here to receive a no, i came here to receive advice. i thought adults would understand that but, i guess not? never mind, now according to everyone im taking my education for granted and i'm being whiny. don't answer this anymore i feel like a child thanks to you guys, thank you for your lectures. |
Posted: 14 Sep 2015 03:51 AM PDT Okay I believe many people will look askance at my question or I think I'm a troll so I need to clarify a few things first. First of all I'm not a "gold-digger". The guy is not rich, is very poor and I'm not pretty. I'm in this relationship cause he is the first guy who ever took care of me and doesn't care about looks unlike most guys in their 20s-30s. He used to be a professor of Literature so he's very educated and I learn a lot of things from him. The most important thing i learnt out of him is how to appreciate the little moments and things in life that matter more. I always had a very low self-confidence and thought the reason guys didn't notice me was my ugliness. (I always wondered what's wrong with me) He's the first person that accepted for who I am, my shyness, ugliness and flaws. |
Posted: 14 Sep 2015 03:36 AM PDT hi so long story short when i was in 1 grade my dad did'nt have a job and my mom had gotten into an accident a few years ago so the teacher that i had knew many things about my family. when i went to 4 grade i stopped having her as my teacher and she stopped teaching, but this year she works at the school cafeteria and she asks me about my family in front of my friends, she asks me if my dad still does'nt have a job and if my mom is doing ok. and the truth is that my dad still does'nt have a job and my mom is still recovering. today she asked me this in front of my friend she asked me if my dad works now and i said yes i dont want to lie but she is annoying, we bump into her sometimes when shopping so im scared that she will meet my dad and ask him about his new job, if feel so sad now what should i do? |
Question: Is it ok to ask a woman details about her divorce? Posted: 14 Sep 2015 01:39 AM PDT I met a French woman in Italy with her friends, we went out together one night and have stayed in touch since then through fb messenger. Recently she told me that when she went back to France she settled her divorce with her husband, she had decided to do that before going to Italy. However, i had no clue she had a husband.. She said they had a great time together but she thinks she had no choice. I m wondering is it alright if I ask her what does she mean by this? |
Question: Is it wrong to have feelings for an ex brother in law? Posted: 14 Sep 2015 01:17 AM PDT My sister and her husband are having marital issues. He senses that they will separate soon, and she confirmed that she feels he's changed and that she can't handle the stress anymore. They have a son together and I wish something would work out between them for my nephew's sake. However, I have small feelings of attraction for him. I have already dated my mom's ex husband (sad I know) and continue to do so, but he's 25 years older than me. My brother in law on the other hand is only 2 years. Would it be wrong to date him if my sister and my him divorce? My family has accepted the fact that I'm with my "somewhat step-dad", but I'm not sure how they'll take dating an ex "brother in law". |
Question: My gf thinks having female friends is not ok and unfair towards her. Is she right? Posted: 14 Sep 2015 12:04 AM PDT When i got together with my girlfriend i had to stop contact with all my female friends because she was jealous. A female friend of mine that tried texting me many times but i could not reply because my gf was bothered by it texted me again asking to meet up for a coffee or something since we haven't seen each other in a very long time, but my gf said i should simply not reply and ignore her. What shall i do? I think it is compltely normal to have female friends. |
Question: How do I approach this the right way? Posted: 13 Sep 2015 10:32 PM PDT I've been in a relationship with my GF for 5 years about a year ago she went to New York to be with her cousin. A few months later I find out her cousin was with her boyfriend and he brought along another guy which my GF spend the day with as well she gave him her snapchat and continue to talk to him on there. I never found anything out of the ordinary but I saw messages on her phone telling her cousin how she found him cute, she also said she wouldn't give him her phone number and if we ever broke up she wouldn't mind dating him. We had a whole problem about this and we broke up but ended up back together. Fast forward to now a few months ago I made her delete her snapchat and prohibit her from adding guys now yesterday I find out she has his number saved on her phone. I never seen his phone number saved and she is trying to tell me she been had it n that I know. I'm really pist off about this but I do not hoe to approach this or say to her any opinions would help thanks. |
Posted: 13 Sep 2015 10:21 PM PDT Me and my bf have been talking for almost a year and dating for a few months and I will be moving with him in late November or early December. I am not use to meeting bf's parents and grandparents and I am not sure how I should greet them or anyone really I tend to be shy and awkward and stick to myself and would like to know what to do when I first meet them. Extra details that may or may not help, his mom is remarried and lives in another state, his dad and his grandparents live in Colorado near where I am moving with him and his mom has two other kids 15 and 3. I am thinking get a gift for the siblings and a gift for the mom but other then that I am clueless. |
Question: Why do people say for military couples get married or breakup? Posted: 13 Sep 2015 10:15 PM PDT I've been researching and I am highly disappointed to find people saying to get married now or break up now cause it will be easier. I am in a relationship with a new conforming soldier. I asked simple things about marriage and how military works and the relationship aspects of it. I mostly got the answer above. We are not ready to get married. We do love one another but marriage isn't just a legal paper,it's emotions, people's lives etc. yes many soldiers are either single or married. And just because it'll make the relationship easier to get married does not mean it's the right time to do so. Yes we plan on getting married but not at this moment. Anyone else care to express how they view this scenario of get married now or end it? |

Posted: 13 Sep 2015 09:34 PM PDT so this turned out to be a huge drama in my sophomore class. the weird shy kid (who has some issues..not to be mean but he seems like he would shoot up the school) asked me to homecoming. i was NOT expecting him to ask me bc i had a few guys in mind who i thought were going to ask me already. ive only spoken about 2 sentences to this weird kid in my LIFE so idk why he chose ME to ask to hc but im very upset. he DOESNT talk, hes awkward, and i just know i would have a terrible time. well i told him no in a very polite way. my family and my "friends" are mad at me bc i told him no and i dont understand why im getting so much hate for this. i DONT feel comfortable or safe going anywhere with this guy. well my family is threatening to not let me go to homecoming unless i tell the weird kid im sorry and ill go with him, and i dont think thats fair! how can i convince my family to let me go without him? is it okay to go to hc with another guy after i said no to the weird kid? PLEASE HELP ME NO ONE UNDERSTANDS. |
Question: My professor seemed to be looking at me nervously? Posted: 13 Sep 2015 09:32 PM PDT My professor seemed to be looking at me in class a little bit nervously. I don't know if it was a look of disconcertedness or not. This was after I had written a paper. Should I be worried? |
Question: Why is my co-worker nice to me, but treats everyone else like dirt? Posted: 13 Sep 2015 08:49 PM PDT I just started a new job, and I am used to seeing the same faces. There is this one guy that calls other colleagues names, screams at them, and makes fun of them sometimes. Question: I feel like I'm changing too much? Posted: 13 Sep 2015 08:15 PM PDT So I'm a freshman and I don't know, I feel like I'm changing too much... Okay so this is gonna be silly, but when I was little I used to be obsessed with the name Emily, and wanted everything to be named that, I even tried convincing my aunt to name her daughter that. lol .. but anyway, now I don't really name ANYTHING Emily anymore and I feel weird like I feel like I HAVE to like that name forever since ive liked it since I was little...Also, when I was little, my favorite season used to be winter, but now its starting to change to fall, and like im trying my hardest to make my favorite season be winter, but I really am liking the fall now.. like I feel like I need to like everything I liked when I was little and I can never like anything new... Is this true?? I know its silly, but like I don't know, I feel weird like I can't switch how I feel or anything but idk.. So is it okay to want to like something new?? again, i know this is silly but im so serious.. thanks for any help :) |
Question: Is there such thing as a 4th aunt? Posted: 13 Sep 2015 07:39 PM PDT I feel extremely stupid for asking this question, but is there such thing as someone being your fourth aunt on your grandmother's side? Is that even possible? |

Posted: 13 Sep 2015 05:49 PM PDT This may sound like a long story but I apologize. I met 2 girls that came over2 my house for a dinner party. I met these girls , living in Holland and they were visiting United States for a month. I met them because their mom brought her daughters to meet me and my family and my family is friends with the girls mother, so that is how I got to meet them. When I met the girls I told them I would love to see Holland, because over the summer I went to England and they said they have been to England and I love England a lot, so I said Holland would be another place to visit. Right away the girls and the mother said you are more than welcome to come stay at our home in Holland, you can visit Amsterdam, and stay at our residential home which is an hour away from Amsterdam. I said wow that would sound great I would love to save money and go visit Holland. They said for sure you can and the girls gave me their email addresses, so later on I emailed them like 2 weeks later saying how it was nice meeting them, and hope they liked United States. I also mentioned how I would love to see Holland and said I would love to come during December because I have money I've saved from working. It is also my winter break and I asked them if they are going to be busy, to let me know anyway. If they are busy and say no, I wouldn't mind but apparently they didn't even respond to my email, I face booked one of the girls saying It was nice meetingu+hopeduenjoyedUS. Should I email them in October? |

Question: Should I still go to his family events if we ended the engagement a few weeks ago? Posted: 13 Sep 2015 01:23 PM PDT My fiance and I broke up a few weeks ago. It was a mutual split and we ended the relationship on good terms. His sister, best friend, and cousin have weddings coming up that we were expected to attend together with our daughter. I used to be close with his family until recently since we both knew our relationship wasn't heading in a good direction. For months, we've stopped visiting each other's families together. The problem is that my daughter will be in the weddings and my parents are also going. Should I feel obligated to attend? The invite was made out to my ex and he needs to RSVP with the number of attendees. Advice, please! |
Question: Should I apologize to my neighbors? Posted: 13 Sep 2015 10:02 AM PDT I live in a high rise condo building. So today at 8am this morning I put some sausage in the oven to cook for breakfast. Then a couple of minutes later I put some toast in the toaster and the toaster must have been set on a long timer and I fried the toast and set the fire alarm off. I was looking around my house and was trying to figure out where the smoke was coming from and forgot that I put the toast down. I was thinking to myself the oven is not smoking why is the fire alarm going off. Anyway the alarm went off and fire department came. The alarm is very very loud. It is not one of those you buy in the hardware store it is hardwired into the building and does not have a battery. Seeing how it was sunday at 8 am I am sure I woke someone up. Thanks |
