Question: Is it ok to have wedding in same month as birthday? Posted: 11 Sep 2015 10:30 PM PDT I d like to get married during the month of his birth (January), and was wondering if it s a bad idea or takes away from the specialness his birthday. I want a winter wedding but don t want it in December because of Christmas or February because of Valentine s Day. He s a guy and I m sure it wouldn t matter as much to a man as it would to a woman, to have the wedding a couple weeks after their birthday. Thoughts?

Question: Help with mother-son dance at wedding? Posted: 11 Sep 2015 08:41 PM PDT My wedding is next Saturday and I am still looking for a mother son dance song. I have one question - is the mother son dance from the son to the mom, or the mom to the son.
Question: How long should a couple stay engaged after proposal? Posted: 11 Sep 2015 05:04 PM PDT I think, to be safe, they should stay engaged for one year minimum in case something doesn't work out between now and the day of the wedding. My boyfriend of 3 years (so far) and I are talking about marriage and if we were to get engaged anytime soon, we'll stay that way for a year and a half so I can finish school and we can save up for the ceremony and reception. Btw, in case yall wonder about age, we're 20 and 21. Also, no smart aleck responses please!

Question: Is $50, or maybe less ok to give in a card for a wedding gift? Posted: 11 Sep 2015 02:12 PM PDT I'm invited to a wedding later this month. I recently went back to college in my old age lol, and I'm back to being a poor student trying to live on my refund checks.i already said that I'd go, but now I'm saving to give $50. Is $30 or $40 ok to give? Or is that an insult? Thanks.
Question: If a bride to be confided some info to you? Posted: 11 Sep 2015 05:38 AM PDT My fiancee's little sister (24) is getting married next month. She has already been married/divorced with a child from that relationship. And when she got with this guy she immediately moved in (to his parents home...) and they started dreaming up their wedding. A few months ago, she started talking to me about something he told her. Basically he doesn't want to marry her, doesn't find her to be good enough for him, etc etc. I was shocked and basically just said that maybe they are putting too much effort into the wedding and not the relationship? She's convinced he just has cold feet, and she can't possibly cancel the wedding because they already paid for everything and it's embarrassing. I understand, but I'm worried she's heading for a 2nd divorce. There is disaster written all over this. Would you just never talk about it again? Or what type of advice should I offer, if any? Thanks guys
Question: Was I wrong for turning down a wedding invitation? Posted: 11 Sep 2015 04:30 AM PDT I'm a woman. I don't go to weddings or funerals. My friend asked me to go to his brother's wedding as his plus one, and I very politely said no. Now he's upset with me for turning him down. I have the right to say no. Was I wrong?
