Posted: 04 Sep 2015 02:57 PM PDT first off im 18. i dont know what to do after an incident happened with my parents. ill give the shorter version. i came home from school and my step mom asked to see my phone. i asked why and she said because she said so. i showed her my phone and she cussed me out for not having it in the case, which was the rule. she then lightly hit me in my head and asked if i had anything up there, then wrapped both arms around me and i couldnt move. she then tried to yell in my ear and her left teeth bit my skin. on my face there is a swollen are that bled for a bit, but im not sure if that was a bite mark or a popped zit. i am a black belt in karate and i took her down. she claims i hit her but i dont remember much from when she was down but im 90% sure i never laid a finger on her. she has a bruise on her cheek btw. i let her go and she sent me upstairs telling me i was in big trouble. we have had issues in the past but this is the worst thing to have happened. my dad said i was acting childish and doesnt believe my story due to things ive done in the past. i dont know what to do. any thoughts? |

Recently there have been multiple wonderful relationships around me that have broken up due to infidelity. I mean I would never have thought it to happen to these women. Relationships I admired. I feel as blindsided as the beautiful women that are going through this I even have a coworker that is involved in an affair with a married man (she's married too). Then all this Ashley Madison stuff is coming out. I exercise, eat well, etc. I could stand to lose 20 pounds and I'm working on it. But what is happening?! Why is this consuming me? All of a sudden I'm worried I'm not good enough, if this could happen to my friends, who is to say it couldn't happen to me? I'm also not worried just about looks, it's " Am I making enough money?" "I need to pay off my student loans, I'm too indebt.." "I need to make prefect dinners.." …This is exhausting… I'm going out of gourd. Since I'm shy and aloof, I originally opted to continue sitting with my family. Unfortunately, my dad compelled me to participate. I tried to make up an excuse, "But I don't have anyone to dance with!" "Go over there to get set up!" Then, he physically pushed me. After I reluctantly reached that particular area, I eventually got paired up. To my horror, it was with a cousin of a guy who used to torment me when I was a kid. I requested another partner but was denied. I figured my parents wouldn't have let me sit back down. Being able to tell that I didn't want to dance with him, he let out a smirk just like that school enemy of mine and snickered. I half-heartedly got into position. While we were dancing, he sporadically asked me questions probably to make conversation; those were pretty much the only times I looked at him. He even demanded jokingly, "Why're you so nervous, man?" And he rubbed my upper arms. Later on, I started to feel something rising slowly down south. I saw at the corner of my eye an insincerely guilty look on his face. Not too long before dance time ended, the nudge died down. What made him get an erection? I thought this event was chaste . |

I have a really nice dress for it, and normally I'd have no problem going, but my abusive ex-best friend's school is invited and I know for a fact that she will be there. She's literally insane, she is a complete sociopath and lives to manipulate, use and hurt others. Luckily in an emotional break-up kind of way I separated from her, but we are apparently enemies and she swears that I ruined her middle school experience (God knows how I did that considering she almost got me arrested for something I didn't do and she tried to change who I was and made me look bad to others.) She would always tell these elaborate lies (example: she told me that some man I didn't know was going to lose his job because she made me cry at a dance?) and I would totally doubt my sanity. It was a completely controlling and abusive situation. Anyway, this awful person is going to be there and I don't know what to do... A few months ago I did something to get revenge on her out of pure stupidity (so dumb of me) and now I think if I show up at the dance she's going to do something horrible to me. At the last spring dance (which she WASN'T invited to) I knew she would show up, so I didn't go. Long story short she showed up and harassed some girls from my school. This girl is crazy but I don't want her to keep me from attending my freshman year dance, please help! |

We have been setup on a traditional visitation schedule of his Dad getting him every other weekend. In April of last year his Dad filed a motion for 50/50 split and got it. Now my son has to transition every Friday back and forth. He does well until Friday and his entire mood changes into defense mode. He is very angry. I want to help him the best I can through this so Friday is not so hard. Does anybody have some good helpful suggestions? |

We have been a part of the entire pregnancy and I even was asked to be there for the gender reveal ultrasound. I was also asked (told by his girlfriend) to have a baby shower for her. I put a lot of love e and spent a lot of money on a beautiful baby shower for her. She ordered me not to have any pink and to let others know not to buy pink "or they would return it". The more we got to know her...the less we cared for her. In a nutshell, her entire family are narcissists. They are self-centered & hateful people. They use each other one day and then disown each other the next. We have been pushed aside since the baby was born. Our entire side of the family has been cut out of the baby s life. On the rare occasion where we see the baby we have to follow insane rules. Our son wants us involved. However, they are not married and she owns the house they live in. He cannot challenge her rules or she will kick him out. He is not even allowed to take the baby anywhere without her but her sister can take her places and even has their second car seat base. We live in Illinois. How difficult would it be to 8taje them to court for rights to our granddaughter and win? We are good people with great reputations in the community. I can prove that the bab9.other is unstable. Please help! |

I'm a positive person and I am grateful for everything I have in life... but I feel as if this world is rejecting me. It's gone to the point were this is stressing me out so damn much that I am physically hurting myself. Like hitting, punching, and biting myself. I've treat to do a lot of techniques to get rid of my bad luck. Examples - doing a good deed, throwing salt over my shoulder, having a good luck charm, etc. I once bought a real four leaf clover, I had it with me in a safe spot were I couldn't possibly lose it. But no surpise, I lost it. Whenever I am around other people I seem to bring a lot of misfortune to them. Whenever I like something/someone something always bad happens to them when it has to do with me. I could go on and on about stories of my bad luck. But I'm afraid I've already typed too much. You would think that, of all the places, my town would be the one that values intelligence, respects intellect, and strives for excellence, but that isn't the case. I keep getting into relationships with people who are just soooooo boring. It's all about mundane problems, day-to-day life, and superficiality. I get that I can't expect everyone to be an interesting person, but at the same time, it's like everyone I meet is just another joe-schmoe. Nobody stands out. It's so disappointing; it's like "being mediocre" isn't even a derogatory statement. Nobody desires individuality. I wish that I could just somehow filter through all the dumb shits and get to the real people. Sure, that's a really harsh sentence, and it's probably really selfish to assume that I'm, "the chosen one," but my current friend group really depresses me. I don't know. I don't like high school kids. I'm not antisocial; quite the opposite, but I just don't LIKE the people who surround me. I don't LIKE the people I date. I mean, I'm attracted to them, but their personalities are just... meh. My Academic Decathlon team is the one group of people that sorta brush on what I'm looking for, but a lot of the members are rote-memorizing robots. I guess this was just a rant, but please respond! :) Oh, and yeah, I suppose this whole problem might be a result of me writing people off. I'll sleep on that one. |
